First time here so we always test the water with 2 drinks: the classic milk tea (triple play holy trifecta: pearls, pudding, grass jelly) and the more hardcore tea iron goddess roasted oolong with cream foam and pearls, zero sugar. The ???? went down smooth, the pearls were perfectly QQ, and the pudding was soft and luscious. The iron goddess was totally prime - full bodied and went down smooth - I don’t expect to sleep for 12 hours with this one ????. Don’t hesitate, go have a date with Mr. Chu!

Many bubble tea places make their fruit drinks way too sweet or with artificial syrups. This is not the case with Mr Chu! I got a mango slush light sweetness and it's amazing. Excellent mango flavour and not too sugary. My partner got a roasted oolong tea and it was also very good.

Very quick service, a lot of choices on the menu for customization. Size of drink is acceptable for a decent price (16 oz). Safety measures are in place, although at peak hours an informal cluster will form in front of the doors.

BEST brown sugar milk latte that I've EVER had (at least in Vancouver, among 1,000 other bubble tea shops)!!! No kidding omg. Their other drinks are pretty good too - all with their own special flavours. Only if they're a little closer to the city center ;) but they're so good that I'm willing to make the trip to White Rock!! Service was good and price is reasonable. I've been trying to go there whenever I have the chance.

Best Bubble Tea I've had in the entire lower mainland, including Richmond. Tea is fresh, the pearls are the perfect texture, and the service is always friendly. It's nice to grab a drink and walk down to the boardwalk in about 10 mins.

Got the roasted oolong milk tea here on whim, but it tasted very powdery ... and their pearls were pretty run of the mill, nothing spectacular. Unfortunately it doesn't have the "QQ" factor that other places have managed to produce, so it was not up to that bar (which admittedly is very high -- but when you're paying $5-$6 for one drink, you should expect more)

I'm about 30-40 minute drive from Mr. Chu but if I'm ever in White Rock, I always stop by. They have amazing bubble tea!! I love both the brown sugar and the coffee latte bubble teas. I've also had the fresh taro - not usually a big fan of taro but it's so good! I haven't had anything here that I don't like.

These guys deserve an award. You'd think there's only so much you can do with bubble tea but this establishment has taken a simple drink to the next level. I came around closing time so they were out of their special brown sugar pearls that I've heard so many good things about. I settled for the taro and pudding milk tea instead. I was going to add jelly to it like I normally do (which would have had an extra cost) but the server actually advised me against it because the pudding already added a similar texture. To me, that shows they cares about what they sell over a small add on bonus. The pudding with the taro was bliss. I wasn't expecting there to be real pudding in the drink but there was. It was an amazing combination that had the perfect balance of texture and sweetness. Each of their flavours seems to have a creative twist and something to make it more elegant. I love the ambience of this place and the service is great too. The sitting area is a tad small but you're close to the beach so it's all good. Is recommend this as a solid bubble tea place to try.

Mango slush was refreshing and the cut up mango pieces was a nice touch. The brown sugar latte was really good too. I enjoyed the extremely sweet intense black/brown sugar taste. The pearls had a nice chewy texture and the fresh milk helped balance out the sweetness of the drink without being watered down.

The Lindt white matcha frothy was exceptional, the texture was creamy because of the white chocolate with matcha and the cap on top. The brown sugar pearl latte was acceptable but wasn’t the best I’ve had. The roasted oolong milk tea had a strong oolong tea taste, however, it didn’t blend with the milk powder as it was two separate flavours when you drink from it. Also, the pearls were tough not as chewy. But for the price I paid, it delivered a decent performance.

I love that they use lactose free milk as Im lactose intolerant, and now offer dairy free alternatives! BEST PLACE FOR BUBBLE TEA EVER. I spend most of my days off here at Mr. Chu Tea & Coffee, and I've personally tried more than half of the items on the drinks menu. The quality of the tea is better than most tea cafe I've had throughout my lifetime, and one thing that sets this amazing place apart from all other places: the passion of the owner can be tasted in the tea. The owner, Mr. Chu--not me, put his heart into every drinks he made. Some of the drinks might sound similar to other tea cafe, but I guarantee that the wholeheartedness is beyond. The pearls were carefully crafted and prepped, and the brown sugar in the drinks is the alluring secret. Additionally, the two types of sandwich available, Chicken and Seafood, are ones of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Unfortunately, these are only available on a slow day--which is becoming more rare. After all, it is a small cafe that the owner is personally there to cater his heart and soul into these edible feasts. On the side note, the owner actually designed the graphics on the labels himself!

We ordered 3 mango slush less sugar with pearls and coconut jelly and oolong roasted milk tea with pearls full sugar. Everyone loved their drinks as sugar level was correct and not too sweet. The pearls and coconut jelly were fresh and soft as we have to say that it’s one of the best places we’ve tried and we’ve been to a lot of place as we are bubble tea addicts! Even has fresh mango which is great that they have fresh ingredients that are used. Everyone will be coming back to try something again!

Nothing but positives to say about this place! You have a pretty clear view of them making the drinks and you can see that they use fresh ingredients, which pays off in the bold flavour of the drink. The pearls are also well-cooked. Pricing is reasonable considering the cup is pretty big and the quality is good. I think they also encourage you to save your cup and bring it back for a discount!

Mr. Chu is definitely a place you should check out! Its a small shop with simplistic decor. A cozy place to spend with friends and family. Needless to say their bubble teas and coffees are of very good quality! The brown sugar is a must try! I can't explain it, but theirs is definitely worth the hype! Every other user has also recommended it! The owners are sweet, welcoming and considerate. Feel free to ask them for suggestions if you are unsure of what to have. Also their sandwiches are a MUST! To say its delicious would be an understatement! Mr. Chu is a hidden gem, be sure to look out for it, you wont be disappointed!

Hands down the best brown sugar milk in Lower Mainland. I've tried so many others such as the renowned Taiwanese brands that recently opened in Vancouver, and none of them really lived up to Mr Chu in terms of taste and value. Amazing service- incredibly reasonable. I've been to dozens of Boba shops all over metro Vancouver and this one tops them all. Well worth the hour bus ride just to get the brown sugar latte with pearls- the latte is so refreshing and the warm pearls compliment it so well. I would recommend absolutely everyone to try it. I also love taking a cup of pearls home to make my ice coffee in the morning. They only charge $2.5 for a full cup! 20/10. Strongly recommend

I went here for their brown sugar latte and Mr Chu’s definitely did not disappoint! Their pearls were soft but also a little chewy, which I liked. It also had a strong caramel taste and was just the right amount of sweet. I’ve tried many brown sugar lattes before (YiFang, Coco, Bubble World) but this is the first time I actually enjoyed the drink, so props to Mr. Chu Tea & Coffee for making a really good brown sugar latte. It’s too bad that they’re so far away from the rest of the Greater Vancouver Area, otherwise I would go there more often.

This new bubble place in white rock puts a lot of care into their drinks. From lactose free milk to fresh ingredients, you can tell that this isn't your typical bubble tea place. They have a simple menu of fresh teas and and slushes. No powder/syrup based stuff. I tried the brown sugar latte (which doesn't actually have coffee in it.. It was just milk and brown sugar). Can't wait to explore the rest of the menu.

Recently moved into White Rock about 2 weeks ago, discovered there's a bubble tea store 2 minutes walking from my house. Awesome bubble teas, 10/10 on their fresh made pearls and brown sugars. Super convenient and such a great place for studying. The servers were humourous and polite, like they treated their customers with cares and respect all the time. Stopping by once every two days. Definitely recommend any bubble tea lovers living in White Rock so Y'all don't have to drive to Richmond Bubble Tea Shop for a drink!

Fresh taro slush. This is pretty good. Roughly 5 or 6 people lined up around 4 pm. Good taro drink after oily food(fish n’ chips). Definitely we will be back this place.

Hidden Gem in white rock!! I tried their black tea with cheese foam.. and the tea was delicious and super fragrant.. the cheese was not too strong.. so the combo was actually amazing. It is not in the menu but you can ask the person to make it. Love the service and the patience the staff had to explain the type of bubble tea they have.. ???? definitely will go back if I'm nearby..

Tiny little place with limited seatings but they do have some very quality bubble tea. Pearl's are very chewy and has a nice taste to them. The brown sugar pearl milk I ordered was nice. The strawberry slush was kinda sour....which leads me to believe they use fresh strawberries it would make sense since strawberry season isn't here yet. They also have a few food items like a chicken burger....

Probably the best place for bubble tea in lower mainland. Their roasted oolong milk tea with pearls and grass jelly is to die for. Pearls are much bigger and more fresh than other brands. Grass jelly is nice and soft, unlike canned ones from their competition.

My favourite bubble tea place. And I’ve had a LOT of bubble tea. Modern minimalist decor yet cozy. I’ve seen so many people come here from Richmond, I think that says it all. White Rock isn’t a likely spot for this gem but I’m so glad it’s here. The strawberry slush is the best dairy free option in my opinion (just ask for no milk). They’ve also donated a lot of products to COVID-19 front line workers. I’ll support businesses that support our community any day!
