Good food and reasonable prices, but dislike how owner treats waitstaff. Last weekend we witnessed unacceptable behaviour, a spike to minor ones we saw in previous visit. Reactive, condescending, and unprofessional tyrannical manager/owner. We experienced her talking behind staff's back, putting her down in another language, then a verbal fight in the back that reached the ears of entire restaurant. Then we had to listen to her cuss and call employee names (who I suspected had walked out on the job) in the restaurant while she complained to the cook. Worst part is that all this was done in her native language (which I understood), so she behaves this way very loudly thinking no one else understands her, including Asian staff who don't speak the same language. It's very disrespectful and unprofessional as a manager and owner. We will not go back, too bad as the fare is good, we simply can not condone this behaviour. Lessons in collaborative leadership is highly recommended.

It was ok. But don't think we'll be going back. There were pieces of egg in my wife's Benny, we were charged for the lemon slice my wife had added to her water, and the cubed breakfast potatoes were just 'meh'. My Benny was fine. And so were my shredded hash browns. But it was overall very plain. So depending on what you are looking for, this may be a hit or miss.

Atmosphere was okay, customer service was okay. Food was below average, as it was kept warm until it was to be served. Old bacon, runny egg white and basic store bought freezer hash browns. I don't know why this place has 4.5 stars, but keep in mind that this is a possible experience if you visit. edit: owner only addressed half the concerns :)

Great price and great flavour. It was a surprise for us. The restaurant itself wasn’t so inviting from the outside, but inside it’s really cosy and kind of reminds you the 50’s or 60’s. The Benedict’s and bacon were on spot! And the coffee wasn’t that bad.

Stumbled upon this jem hidden away. I was walking around killing time and went in there was no open tables so I opted for take out. Fast friendly service and the food is yummy. We definitely will be coming again for breakfast and an early lunch.

A decent “cafe” serving all day breakfast at average prices, average portions, good service and decent food. Western omelette was full of ingredients (a little watery from all the onion/mushroom juices) small .60 cent charge for tomato substitution. Pancakes were fluffy.

Stopped for lunch last week with no expectations from the little cafe. Our meals were obviously excellent - good flavour - good ingredients (hence the review), but what topped it off for me was the iced coffee. Served with coffee ice cubes you can enjoy a strong coffee flavour down to the last sip. I even ate the ice.

Been here a few times. Food is always great and price is fair. If you prefer a local mom&pops setting instead of big franchise and/or fancy brunch restaurant, I'd definitely recommend here. Note that they do get pretty busy in the morning on weekends, so I'd suggest weekdays if you're visiting for the first time.

Standard breakfast fare that's affordable and fast. Service is friendly and nice (they have stickers for kids), and breakfast specials that come with free coffee (free refills). They were open on Canada Day. The hashbrown is delicious.

THE BEST EGGS BENEDICT I have ever tasted (been to Taiwan and B.C., Canada)! This one had smoked salmon and adds saltiness to it. There are other choices as well. Another customer also said his cheese burger was suuuuper good!!!

Would like to be able to give a better rating but the coffee was extreme!y weak the pan fries were bland and tasteless what does it take to nuke a potato for 1:40 secs dice it add some spices I use a steak spices and fry it in olive oil to give it a little crunch. Buy better bacon and sausages and you might have more then two people. Sorry I am just being honest and would love to see local businesses to succeed.

Came here on a Saturday morning. It looks like a clean, cozy neighborhood Cafe. The server were very friendly and welcoming. I ordered the salmon benedict plus spinach. Eggs were perfectly cooked to the way I wanted and the hollandaise were tasty. I will definitely come back again :) ???? ❤

My go to breakfast place when I'm alone or with others. My fiancé loves it here too and he's very picky about breakfast food. The service is always friendly and the restaurant is rarely overwhelmingly busy. Food can sometimes be a bit slow but other times it's really fast coming out. Everything is really good, especially their eggs benedict.

.. don't thing they own a single spice in their kitchen. My omlete breakfast was composed of nothing more than the ingredients from the grocery store. Bland bland food, and on the more expensive end..

The lady Tracy is literally a nightmare. Maybe the way she treats her customers is superior, but the way she treats her employ is insulting and humiliating. She shouts at them in front of customers,and cau imagine what is like when she is at the back of the kitchen? No kindness there. SAD.

I could tell it was something special when we arrived at 9 am and it was over half full. My spouse had the 2 eggs benedict and said they were great. Food great and served hot, wasn't too sure when my friend said we had to pay extra for coffee refills but that was not the case. Prices reasonable, food good and hot , service excellent and always with a smile!!

Café 8 is a wonderful little cafe with great waitstaff and a cozy interior. They do all-day breakfast, and serve classic breakfast items such as omelettes, eggs benedict (and in most other forms!), pancakes, etc. My partner ordered the scrambled eggs with the hamburger patty and toast, while I got the 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, and meat (sausage). The eggs and sausages were great, and the toast came buttered, and toasted to perfection. However, the hamburger patty was dry and a bit tasteless. The pancakes were good, but nothing special. If we ever get a chance to come here again, we'll definitely be ordering something else, but other than those two items, everything was tasty and came with no complications or too long of a wait!
