????????????????????????????????
Wow its expensive. I mean you think, well for the convenience its fine for just a couple hot chocolates, but its EYEBROW-RAISING-ly overpriced. No thanks. I'll just sit in my car with no hot chocolate and be sad.
Almost made us miss our ferry, the girls working seemed totally uninterested in being there. Rude and lack of speed to get food out. Shouldn't take 20 min to get a bland, tasteless wrap...
I have never been to a cafe where service was so slow. I waited for over twenty five minutes with three people in front of me to be served. Two people were served in that period and I was forced to turn away as they had repeatedly called for my ferry at that point. It would be much more worthwhile for you to spend your time walking into the village to get food than to wait in line at a cafe that has no regard for your time.
Service
Was surprised to see a place with all vegetarian food options at the ferry terminal! Had the chickpea masala wrap (my favourite!), the hippy wrap and a veggie dog. If you were expecting a regular “meat” like hotdog, this would disappoint you as it’s much different but I really enjoyed the flavour and the toppings! Cute spot to sit and eat as well.
Not customer friendly, the order window is very high, hard to communicate with the person taking the order as they are far away.
Fast service.... the two blondes that work there absolute hate being there.... replace them!
Take out
So many veggie options! What a nice little suprise food truck (ish) to grab healthy food while you wait for the ferry. The wraps, lattes and smoothies were really good.
The sign on the cafe says back at 7 am. Online says they open at 9 am. Might be due to the holiday hours, or they open now at 9 am everyday, as Google says? Please confirm.
A really nice café with a cool vibe
Every time I'm here I have good service and my purchases haven't disappointed me yet. I don't stop every time I take the ferry, but when I do I'm glad I did.
Coffee is okay. Service painfully slow for a latté. Also they have really awful bee traps to attract and kill bees! Quite upsetting.
Great staff, good food and good drink choices.
Very cute location, and the coffee is good. The food is mediocre and often a wait or sold out. Today, we encountered both. The "8 minute" pizza (written on the board and warned by the staff, which we agreed to) took 20+ and when asked, discovered they had forgotten it on a counter. Admittedly, they were busy when I asked, but they had had no customers except us when we arrived and no one for 15 minutes. 8 minute pizza could have been done twice over. Also forgot about the cinnamon roll. The 3 staff members seemed hectic and lost, one kept taking orders, another furiously texting on her phone, and the third running around like a chicken with her head cut off, but not really accomplishing anything. They were still laughing and chatting amongst themselves how easy closing would be with 3 people. We've been here before and the service has never been spectacular, but it has never been so bad as today. If there was another cafe at the terminal, they would definitely get our business instead. Also, $7+ for a watery smoothie. Gross.
Good food, ok prices and when you're stuck in the ferry lineup it's a good option if you don't have time to go into Horseshoe Bay and better than ferry food. Avoid the Buddha smoothie, way over priced at $10 for a small cup and nothing special, sounds like it should be good and healthy but it's watery, mostly ice.
Best americano in Lower main land!
Excellent food and beverages. Healthy options.
Don't order the pizza! The crust is gross & the toppings are tasteless!
Best fresh muffins for your morning ferry commute! Love this spot.
When catching a ferry from Horseshoe Bay, this is a Great Place for Coffee, Tea, Smoothies, Wraps and other good food. Good Karma To All ✌
I did enjoy the coffee and the view!
Hours are not as they say. Went to get grub at 730 on Thursday and they weren't open ????
I waited for 30 minutes for the fewer-than-ten people in front of us, and learned why immediately after ordering. The line cook took almost ten minutes to throw together a wrap that any competent cook could complete in approximately thirty seconds. I witnessed her waste two minutes failing to put gloves on. It turned out to be bland and flavorless (at $8), and to top it off we had to run back to our vehicle to board the ferry on time. I threw the wrap in the trash. Zero stars. Would not recommend.
We arrived late and had to wait 2.5 hours for the next ferry. I grew hungry and then hangry. Thankfully, good karma was served. The cinnamon roll is ooey gooey, covered in cream cheese icing and warmed up. It made a miserable wait into a poetic moment. Not sure about the other staff, but the young man who helped me out was polite and friendly. Get the cinnamon roll, you’re worth it ????????
There is a small “pond” in the sitting area which is infested with mosquito larvae. Disgusting!
Food is tasty but they should have a dip with the wrap. Bit expensive.
The service suucks but the chai latte was good
October 27th 2020, young blonde female with an accent working the morning shift, very "putout" attitude... eye roll ..big sigh by being asked a question and same treatment to the guy infont of me .I realize with covid she is having to do more work as it's no longer self serve at the coffee counter, but seriously..The place is called The GOOD Karma cafe. More like The BAD Attitude cafe.
More grounds in my coffee than I would have liked haha but other than that convenient and good tasting coffee
Can’t find any good karma around here ...would give this a ZERO rating if it allowed. The two blonde ladies have terrible service. A smile wouldn’t kill you. You will get lots of eye rolls and horrible service here though!
Sarah plain and tall is pretty rude, the best part about this place is the Spanish songs one of the barristas sings. The coffee and food are mediocre
was just there the chickpea wrap is great yummy yum.
Here you’ll find your cappuchino of solace in case the car in front of you made it onto the ferry but then they closed the boomgate right in front of your own car. If the coffee fails to give you solace, remember: the last ones shall be the first ????
Great drinks and cinnamon buns are great! Lots to choose from for food and drinks. Can take a bit of time so try to get in before you need to prepping to board the ferry
Really quite a nice spot. Way better than you'd expect of a shack at a ferry terminal.
Ripped off our U.S. friends! This was embarrassing. Our friend from Washington bought ice cream in a cup, had only $6 USD on him but needed $8 Cdn. The server wouldn't take the $6 so he went back to his car and got another $2 USD. She took the $8 USD but gave him no change! That's the equivalent of paying $10.50 Cdn for his $8 ice cream. She should have given hime $2.50 Cdn change or simply accepted the $6 USD. What did she do? Pocket the USD and replace it with Canadian money? Just saying... This occurred about noon on Tuesday, June 20th
Perfect spot to recover from being the first car to miss the ferry that just boarded. Unbelievable veg chili. Great muffin. Good coffee. If you are concerned about missing the ferry, wait and eat on the ferry. It's not as good as the Karma, but you will avoid the stressful sound of your tapping toes. This place is the best reason to get to the ferry early.
Amazing mochas
Good coffee. The cinnamon bun lives up to the promise of being incredibly gooey. Come prepared with hand wipes! There's a cute covered patio with limited seating.
Good delicious wraps.

Extremely rude. Looks like the blonde girl who works there does not want to be there.nfood was ok! Instead of providing bad customer services. Please find somthing else. We will never go there again.
NO STARS. The blonde staff is either abusing some medication, or coming down from it. Deplorable service, rediculous wait times, we had to watch her struggle to put on a glove for two minutes. She also spent another minuet staring at an avacado. And then another few mineuts picking individual pieces of lettuce. And staring at them. A sense of urgency is required for a cafe in a ferry line, or the manager should ensure there are enough staff.
Good coffee
It's a very hippie place with good food, coffee and snacks.
Coffee was good, bet walking into town. Service was fine for me
Breakfast
Friendly staff, good muffins, delicious caramel latte with Oat milk :) A bit expensive but I am happy to pay more for quality.
Good place to get a latte while you wait for the ferry. Usually long line but worth it
Painfully slow. The girl working here all she does is inefficiently make poor coffee while singing. We had twenty five minutes before our ferry left and she could still not serve one person in front of us, and make two lattes... paid for our drinks and never even got them. If you’re gonna go here, make sure you’re an hour and a half early for your sailing..... SLOWER THAN SLOW!!!!!
good cafe to get hot drinks, muffins and more while you wait for ferry
They don't post their hours of operation at the storefront window.... Canada Day long weekend, there is clearly a person in the coffee shop setting up at 5: 30am . When asked would not even acknowledge any customers who asked what time the coffee shopshop would be open. Super rude. Either post your hours properly, or have respectful staff that will answer a simple question. Steamroll the place and put in a Starbucks. This place has been overpriced with poor food, poor service for too many years. Monopoly with s*** service serves no one well.
Very nice and cozy cafeteria with lots of good options to try. I had coffee and spinich veggie wrap. There is a room surrounded with plastic glasses that protects you from wind and rian with nice and lovely decoration which gives you relaxing and peaceful feeling.
Actual real, good food.
Staffs are friendly and have pretty quick service. However, the coffee size is small and the taste is blend, and pretty expensive, so if you can wait, Starbucks on the ferry would be a better choice.
Remarkably slow service, not just for a café at a ferry terminal where people are on a schedule, but literally anywhere. Food is extremely variable in quality. Walk the extra couple of minutes into the village.
Good food. Outside seating area with a fountain and lots of old National Geographic magazines. Lovely little oasis beside the ferry lineup.
Great coffee and very friendly service!
Excellent food and coffee.
7:30 opening ?
I just went there and the kid behind the counter is serving food and drinks with no mask on. That kind of irresponsibility comes from poor management.
Repeat of below...fast service but I asked for a muffin and one of the blond squad looked over at the full muffin tray and said "sorry we don't have any". For a place called Good Karma the vibes were pretty notsogood
My favorite ritual on the way to the islands. This cute little cafe has the best coffee and such a relaxing atmosphere before hopping on the ferry! I'm in love with their hippy wrap and buddha smoothie! And their completely vegetarian! Love it.
Seth, Sammy, and Oscar, are 3 super chill amegos. They invited me in to practice my latte art... Not quite as flow as Seth's... Thanks fellas
Meal type
Very nice people work here. Great coffee and baked goods.
