Really enjoyed breakfast here. Coffee was great, mugs were big and The Dukes eggs with baked beans were excellent. Our server was very nice and made sure we were well looked after. The restaurant was clean and cool 50's theme harkened back to the day. Will come back again.

I went to East Side because I found the best breakfast place down the street was closed on Monday. The food and service was okay but when I went to pay I was told they didn't accept credit or debit. That "convenient" ATM in the corner is just a convenient way for the owners to put a few more dollars in their pocket every day! It would be nice to inform customers in advance their breakfast will cost them an extra 3 or 4 dollars for that convenience.

Best breakfast in town. Exactly everything you could want from a breakfast diner, from 50's decor to the general atmosphere, everything has just such a great feel. The service is always top notch, very kind, and VERY speedy. I've never waited more then 5 minutes for my meal to arrive. The Big Bopper breakfast is the perfect amount, especially if you have a special someone to share your french toast or pancakes with. The coffee is always just the right temperature, and the sausages... Oh boy the sausages. You won't find a better breakfast sausage anywhere. A perfect snap when you bite into it, simply perfection. To hit it all home, the price is simply unbeatable. The fact that someone gave this restaurant a 1 star because they were upset they had to use the ATM they provide is an absolute injustice. Some people just want to whine where everyone can hear them, but don't let that stop you from enjoying one of the best breakfast experiences Welland has to offer.

This place is amazing! The food was absolutely delicious. Seasoned just right and big portions. Everyone left full and happy. Our waitress was very nice (I believe she is the only waitress) and chatted with is at the end. She even had a Canadian penny. My son had been searching for a Canadian penny since we got here. Now he has it. I ordered the Greek omelette. It came with home fries and toast. My husband got the fats domino, it is 3 fluffy pancakes. My husband and I shared our meals. Our daughter ordered the chicken finger buffalo wrap and it came with fries. Our son ordered the cheeseburger with fries. Coffee and 2 sodas. Our bill was $40 and some change.

Meh I've definitely had better. I went this week with two friends. I had the eggs, ham, home fries and coffee. The positives: Cute decor, clean, good coffee, eggs and toast. I like the TV too. Negatives: Home fries had no flavour and came with just a bunch of pepper on them. I left them all as did one of my friends who also had the breakfast. Ham was overcooked and dried-out. The server was efficient but not friendly, and somewhat standoffish ( in her defence I'd probably be like that serving people all day too). The thing that surprised me was to see on the menu, they charge you $1.00 if you want tomato slice. Really????? Ridiculous in my opinion. This was my third visit but I'm still not impressed with the quality or prices they charge especially for this area. MY bill came to over $10.00 before tip. Mediocre place for that price. I won't be back. Also interesting to note, some of the reviews by other people you see on this Google site are for the former restaurant that was there (Carol's Cafe) and not for East Side Diner. East Side has only been at this location for a few months. You'll see some of the reviews on there are from over a year ago, so kind of sneaky really, as it looks like ALL the raving reviews are for East Side Diner, but they aren't.

I love having breakfast at Carole's Cafe. This is the only restaurant that I can get "cretons" which is a french Canadian pate that we spread on toast. It is made fresh here and you can also get some to bring home. The staff is always friendly and very welcoming. I recommend it highly.

Ordered breakfast from here and skip the dishes delivered it. My eggs were all over the rest of my food I was missing my toast ! And as I started to eat it I noticed a piece of hair in my eggs -_- I hate to have to write a bad review but I was not happy I will not be ordering from here again.

Discovered this place recently through a coworker. Have been 3-4 times in the last month. Love the aesthetic (50's old school). Prices are super cheap (breakfast under 10$) . Portions are generous and service is prompt. Would recommend this place to anyone!
