I initially called to get a copy of some documents. They reasured me that they would call me back with then information. No phone call. I then drove to the dealership looking for said documents and was waiting an incredibly long time before someone even attempted to come help; I ended up making eye contact with someone behind a desk from the other side of the show room, and gestured that I was upset as to why no one was willing to help me. Lastly when the reception person finally attempted to help me, they were not informative and not personable. (I'd like to add that the people who walked in after me we're greeted and served before I managed to even talk to an employee.) Very poor customer service.

Loved the service the first time I went to get my VW an inspection and tires put on, however the second and third time I went was a terrifying experience as I have been bulldozed and whirlwinded by the service team while explaining the work that needed to be done and then as a suprise they told me that my transmission needed to be flushed and would not give me a ball park price for what it would cost pre-pick up then added an extra 300-400 to my bill that was not originally agreed on. Thankfully I will not be getting another VW DUE TO THESE EXPERIENCES. I have also noticed that the company does not respond to opportunities for improvement. My first and last experience here with my new second-hand VW... What a BAD one! They charged me $460 for an oil change, tire rotation, and to plug in a speaker! One full hour labour simply because the speaker was unplugged!! The lady at the counter was very dismissive of my concern, repeating over and over that I had agreed to the diagnostic rate (150/hour!!!), and she told me the manager was too busy and could not speak with me!! I certainly did not agree to pay for 1 full hour for what should have been 10 minutes of work!! She told me they found broken clips in the panel (It was fine before they touched it), which of course I was not notified of before they allegedly began repairing them (repairing a clip? really?) To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, she tells me their internet had been down for 1 hour with no sign of being fixed any time soon, and so they could take cash only! She had only called me 20 minutes prior to say they were ready for me, and nobody bothered to tell me of the outage at the time or even call me back to let me know... She was unable to produce a copy of my invoice by any other means, and she would not let me take my vehicle until after I went to the bank to withdraw cash!!! UNREAL!! Take your business elsewhere, this one is the the definition of a STEALERSHIP!!

absolutely the worst service in town. They had our vehicle for 7 weeks on a recalled part, avoided our calls the whole time, and declined to offer us a loaner until just now, with the part set to arrive Monday. Got much more satisfaction from VW Canada when we called to complain, which is certainly the only reason they're loaning us a car now. They ignored my calls repeatedly and frequently ignored our messages asking for a time line on delivery. I'll never own a VW in town again just so that I don't have to deal with the awful service VW provides here. edited to add, we had more problems immediately after we picked up the car. we brought it back and they gave us a loaner back while they look at it. then they sold the loaner while we had it! and we had to leave work early to accommodate more idiocy from the staff. safe to say we didn't have the next repair done, we're taking it to FRESHWATER AUTO instead because they're much better.

Worst customer service I ever experienced!! Extremely rude lady working on service desk. I was not informed about the cost of my service appointment prior to the work being completed and was shocked to receive a bill for over $800. This was my first and last service at Volkswagen!! I can get the same work done elsewhere for a fraction of the price while also receiving superior customer service.

Recently had my Touareg in for repairs. I was provided with “complimentary roadside assistance” for six months. On the way to work this am and got a flat tire. Called them 936am and was told it would be 90 min before someone arrived. It’s been 180 min and counting. Lesson: always beware of “complimentary” service. Thank you again Volkswagen, my experiences with you continue the same as always.

After making contact with VW St. John’s about damage to my car which was unclear if warranty or insurance would cover it. I was informed that a massive miscommunication was the main source of my issues with the damage revolving around my car. Which actually stemmed from my insurance provider. Although VW also lacked in communication during the situation at the end I was very happy with the respect and how I was handled after I was able to make contact and get the full details of the situation from the executive level at VW. I have since removed my negative review on their page based on the updated information I have! I’m excited to get behind the wheel again after a week!

Purchased a "CERTIFIED" Preowned vehicle in October 2019. We were assured by the salesman at the time that EVERY certified preowned vehicle went through a rigorous 112 point inspection before receiving their seal of approval. It seemed like a good deal - good condition, low mileage. The salesman even offered to knock off a couple thousand to get it within our budget. We were even able to afford the extended 5 year warranty. Not even SIX months after we purchased the vehicle, we hear this knocking sound in the back of the vehicle. We take it to our now local shop who tell us "there is no way this vehicle should have ever met the certified inspection". And because the problem was due to previous corrosion, the extended warranty would not cover it. We contact Bill Matthew's where we purchased the vehicle to be told "well a lot can happen in six months, so we can't do anything to help you." Absolutely DISPICABLE customer service, SHODDY "112 point inspection ". Stay FAR FAR FAR away from any "certified preowned". Volkswagen brand should be embarrassed to have this as their face in Newfoundland.

Terrible service, Vehicle has been in for service 3 times in 2 months, all for warranty related issues. The vehicle was returned to me, and I was advised it was fixed, only to have the same issue immediately afterward. The service department displayed a total unwillingness to work with me to arrange alternate transportation (rental / loaner / demo) despite my suggestions on how to resolve the problem. Credibility of maintenance staff is seriously questionable as they stated that they replaced a specific part, only to take my vehicle back 3 weeks later and have the same part diagnosed as the problem. Furthermore, their technician suggested I replace my wipers, which I were changed 4 days prior to that visit. Dealership offered loaner cars, but did not disclose and age requirement (25) to take one, and since then, I have yet to been able to book an appointment in a reasonable time frame with a loaner available. Dealership expected me to solve my own transportation needs. Would not recommend this dealership to anyone, based solely on the service department.

VW cars are great. Great performance, great price, you can't beat them. However, this particular dealership is awful and has extremely poor business practices. I recommended a used VW Golf to a friend of mine at this location. He purchased the vehicle and enjoyed it for a total of 6 months before the computer unit malfunctioned and the car would no-longer start. Upon bringing it in to BM VW the service folks were unwilling to help with the car saying it was fine when it left the lot (4,000km off the lot). They recommend buying their computer unit, but allow him to purchase a used one and tried to install the unit. After install the unit would still not work, they blamed the used part at which point he folded at purchased the new part. $1,500 later they install the part and find the service team had fried the ignition with the used part they tried the first time. Asked for another $1500 to fix this issue. Would absolutely never recommend this location, ship in your VW cars from away!

I was in St Johns on vacation and asked about a quick oil change. I was told it would take 45 min to 1 hour over the phone. The next morning at 745, I was told the same thing, 45 min to 1 hour. After 1.5 hrs, I was told that the oil change was done but the tech was now on a 20 min break. 45 min later, car still not ready, I was told that there was a meeting for the techs and that my car would be right out. My car was not ready until 1055, I expressed that the service was not a good experience and asked to speak to a manager, none were available so I left my name and number for a return call. 2 hrs and 45 min later, I still have not been called...this has been my worst VW experience, customer service is not a priority!

Awesome dealership and my salesman Arthur Haynes is the best, a couple of weeks ago I returned from holidays to find the front of om Tiguan covered with orange spray paint spatters. Went to the dealership and Arther arranged for me to bring my Tiguan back in a couple of days and have it cleaned free of charge. I am so thankful as it was nearly 4 hours work that I sure didn’t want to have to pay for.

Worst service I have ever had to deal with in my entire life. I just bought a new Tiguan and was suppose to have my winter tires installed when they did the PDI. when I signed for the vehicle, they said the tires weren't in. Every week, I had to call and ask about the tires even though they said they were going to keep us in the loop. 5 weeks later, they called telling my wife our winter tires were still not in. So I went in there asking if they were walking the tires there. Surprising enough, they found tires while I was there talking with them. This will be the last vehicle we ever get from VW

Customer service is not good at all. I ordered a part of bumper grill for $157. They ask me that you wanna pre pay or want to pay after part received. I agree to prepay. After that I been through Minor car accident and got recovered that part by insurance and between time of one month I never get call for pickup my order. Then I went to dealer ship to cancel the part and they totally disagree to refund money even I not received the part I ordered. After lot of argument with manager I got refund $74 out of $157

Absolutely horrible customer service!! They scheduled me for a service appointment a week in advance only to call me after I dropped the car off to say they didn’t have the part. They couldn’t tell me when the part would be in and they also wouldn’t give me a loaner car to drive until they could get the new part. When I asked why they didn’t order the part a week in advance since they knew I was bringing the car in to get this part changed, they said they “don’t do that”. I have had so many problems with this terrible company since I bought my car 3 years ago and I dread every time I have to deal with them. Do not buy a volkswagen, especially from this location!!!!
