My go-to, best cup of coffee in Victoria. I'm very grateful that I live within a quick walk to 2%, as I struggle to find a better coffee in the city. The staff are very friendly and the prices are fair. I do wish there was a bit more room to work on one's laptop, but the space is pretty small so I don't fault them for it.

First time here. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The original africano is delicious and exactly what I would expect from a high end coffee shop. It is a little noisey for my tastes, but no more so than most other coffee houses. If you are in the neighbourhood then give it a try.

This place is hip. I got a iced Earl Grey tea they were super accommodating and really cool cats. The tea wasn't too much bread, and it looks like people gig here. I don't know why it's called 2% jazz, as this place scores at least 65% jazz in my books. Dig, man.

Watch out! They have their debit machine programmed to automatically swipe a tip from you. I got charged $3.50 on two take away coffees. When I raised the subject, the young man behind the counter didn't seem very concerned!

Coming from Calgary, I was missing 'The Roastery' in Kensington. 2% Jazz Coffee is a similar style place. They actually serve DARK roast coffee which is hard to find at Victoria coffee shops, typically you find medium roast as the darkest. I'm super happy to have found it. :-)

Love this place, great coffee, great donuts, friendly staff - pleasantly grungy with a great ambience, without all the steel and glass so popular in other coffee shops. Nice selection of vinyl albums which keep the music going in the main shop, and I love the lounge next door which is quiet and chilled when I want to chat with a friend. I wish i will get the same enviornment when i visit here again.

Cute little coffee shop right near Victoria’s Chinatown district. Nice ambiance and decor inside, and the barista was very friendly. They were out of drip coffee, which was understandable because I visited in late afternoon, so I ordered an americano instead. The espresso was good, but the drink tasted a bit too watered down. Overall this is a great spot to sit and work/people watch.

Loving the orange theme here! The coffee is a speciality crowd pleaser but if you are looking for exotic options don't expect much. During our visit only two varieties of coffee were available. But the select options did not disappoint me (the wife was not as impressed!) A nice place to stop in if passing by. Also, A+ goes out to the staff running the place!

Their breakfast burritos are also fantastic and have saved me on numerous mornings where I've not had time to eat before leaving the house. Staff are always relaxed and friendly and the drinks and food are all on point.

Where to start? This is easily my favourite coffee place in town. The coffee is roasted on location, the people behind the counter all know what they're doing and have a passion for good coffee. The decor is fantastic, rustic/modern, classy plass. The service is my favourite though; everytime I've walked through the door I've been greeted with a huge smile by everyone working, and their service is quick, precise, and clean. This coffee shop used to be my absolute favourite, but the last 10 or so times I’ve come here, I’ve been disappointed each and every time. I’ve given this place plenty of chances because I live so close and it’s very convenient. However their service and coffee has been awful over the past year. From the orders being wrong, them forgetting to make the coffee, the coffee tasting burnt, to the overal uncomfortable experience of watching a barista with poor hygiene make my drinks. I may try this place again in the future but not anytime soon

Worst smelling coffee shop in Victoria. Walking past this place, my nose is violated by what smells like burned toast combined with old sour coffee. It's horrific and I want to gag every time I walk past this store. I would love to know what actually causes this disgusting bouquet of an aroma, since nowhere else I have ever been smells THIS bad. I would be surprised if I found out that the building tenants are NOT complaining about this. To be frank, this coffee shop would deter me from living in that building.

Cute shop, nice ambiance and location. Usually good coffee too, sans the super sour and citrus coffees (that are popping up all over Victoria). I like that they offer multiple blends though so you have an option to choose a less acidic coffee. Staff is super nice and knowledgeable too. Only thing is they leave their door open all the time, even in the winter. I go to cafes to study and I usually purchase multiple beverages over a couple hours. Could only stand to be in here 45mins before my teeth were chattering because it was so cold in the cafe. Maybe leave the door closed in the winters?

Went there today to study with a friend and the mocha was amazing - bold and not too foamy, and the espresso flavour was top-notch (very smooth and aromatic, I asked for two extra shots). It's slightly more expensive than some of the other cafes in Victoria that I've been to, but well worth the premium and I was thoroughly impressed with the mocha, so I will definitely be coming back. The café itself is not the largest. There was one long bench, a few window-facing seats, and some small tables. Music was great and the atmosphere was very relaxed and cozy.
