Not the same, and yet familiar. The new owners have turned the place into a revival of the Baacos name in Thompson. Although I'm curious about some of the design choices they made - I love the brighter lighting and inclusion of couch seating. But the same old tables are still present - a new finish at the very least would have been nice to offset the stickied age of their past use. On to the menu - it's good to see a return to form with their well-renowned Machos (not Potachos like the inept renaming by their predecessors). The dish still tastes of lattice potatoes, cheese, and nostalgia. Overhauls of the remaining items saw the removal of my all-time favorite appetizer - Snake Bites (spicy chicken nuggets served with honey dill sauce). So that really affected my final score.

Excellent grilled chicken burger, fries were handcut and super crispy. A great alternative to BP's in Thompson. The interior is nice and they have tables and a lounge area if you want as well in the restaurant.

The first female server was friendly and efficient. However, she was done shift after taking our order and the server that took over made us wait much too long just to get our drinks including water and pop for a child. The male server was friendly enough but we didn't get checked on regularly for refills, making us have to remember to get their attention to do so. The food took much too long to arrive too, though it was very tasty and they provided good portion sizes.

Walking distance from all the "contractor rentals". It's not pretty, but nothing in Thompson is known for its decor. They have good service, guys and girls that work there are always funny and friendly. The long Island iceteas are a local favorite and will level you.

Food and service were great. This restsurant serves pub style food. And has an attached lounge with VLT nachines. I reserve a 5 due to a musty wood smell and old tables that should eithet replaced or power steamed.

Just ordered for delivery. All Food came cold, chicken fingers came way over cooked. Pickle poutine was good but very small portion for a large, also cold. Potato machos had barley any meat. Also very cold. The burger I ordered tasted like giant tiger frozen burgers. Awful! This is my second experience ordering from them and I will never eat here again.

What is happening at your bar? Half of your VLTs are closed & no half decent chairs to sit on. This is very nice way to bring customers in this & this is no way to treat customers. I aslo see of your food which were & it looked gross. I certainly w6 eat there! How about showing so.e respect for your customers!

Service was good, food was better. Ambience was great. Glad we stopped in for lunch, portion sizes were bigger than expected. Reasonably priced. Dill pickle poutine is well worth a try.

Got a footlong loaded dog and 8 wings the bun was rock hard and the wings were really small but did taste good. Service was also pretty slow.

Food really isn't anything special, the staff don't seem that knowledgeable about menu items or drinks made. The renos are nice. A decent place to eat lunch, just nothing spectacular about it.
