Have been eyeing this place for a while, but haven't tried until today. Great service and environment. But I am afraid what I received for cappuccinos can be called a scalded no-foam latte at the best. I am quite confused with the good reviews as the drink neither looked nor tasted anywhere near a decent cappuccino. could not drink it after two sips.

My friend and I went to this coffee shop and we were delighted when we first walked in. I ordered a praline latte and my friend ordered a London fog with a pear danish and an almond croissant. The drinks were great and the latte art was a nice touch! The customer service was also great as my friend shared a couple of laughs with the cashier. It was a bit pricey and there wasn't really anything else to get on the menu if you're on a budget but overall it was a lovely experience coming here for the first time!

Stopped by here after a bike ride. Not only was the pastry (raspberry and peach crumble over a croissant.. Name?) and the cappuccino godly, they had live jazz playing and it totally sent me over the moon. What a mood! I live Dt Toronto but I will be biking back here just to catch a vibe, no doubt! The patio is well spread out to make sure your very comfortable while you have a fresh scone or handcrafted hot beverage. This place is gorgeous, has a vast selection of dishes such as salad, pastries and soup on weekends and more. Cannot recommend this place enough!

This place was recommended by a colleague of mine who has told me in passing, "There's this cafe nearby and it's actually good!". This was enough to get me to visit as there aren't many coffee places in the area. I was surprised to see such a wide selection of coffee, I got the Pumpkin Hazelnut latte, which I was so excited to see outside of the "PSL" season. I also got a Rocky Road cookie which was described as a healthier chocolate chip since it had flax seeds. Both were amazing! Service was also quick. The girl that owns the place was also great with recommendations.

Amazing assortment of teas, coffees, and baked goods. Try the tumeric chai latte (golden chai latte), the gluten free vegan brownie, the delicious london fog, or the blueberry croissant! The place is decorated with Birchcliff area photos from days gone by. The atmosphere is very very cozy.

How cute is this cafe!? It has a cute cafe and right next to it, it has an ice cream bar!! I chose the strawberry, chia & basil popsicle and it was sooo refreshing, especially on a very hot day! I also took a look around the cafe and it was the cutest thing. As soon as you enter, they have a little bucket with sourdough baguettes for sale!! They have an extensive menu with coffee and teas, both served hot or cold and some treats that look so goooood! Will definitely be going back to grab coffee and a snack next time!

This is my kind of cafe. Beautifully designed and decorated. I enjoying having a coffee here with my girlfriend as we both admire the space. The brewed coffee is smooth and not acidic. Doesn't leave the film feeling on your tongue. The latte is good too. The foam is almost marshmallow like. My favourite latte yet.

This is located just by the lake on the east east end of Toronto/Scarborough! No matter how far the good coffee shops are.. takes me to places and I didn't regret driving all the way here. I have ordered a flat white and a croissant.. coffee was great and croissant was tasty! Also they have a very friendly customer service.. as the hour progressed people started coming and it became quite busy in no time. Wasn't expecting that for a shop which is not in the actual city but was happy to see and glad to know everyone enjoys the shop The interiors are so good and very well maintained overall. I would definitely visit this place again if I am in the neighborhood again

Good coffee. They use a roaster in Oakville called Brothers. Staff was efficient, place was clean, they even offered facemasks at the door which was a nice touch. Was recommended her by our friends...I can see why.

Great place for a local meet-up or just to chill and enjoy a coffee, espresso or what ever your choice is. During my visit we were still in a bit of lock-down/limited capacity so we sat outside. Friendly staff, a great Americano and delicious croissant. If you wondering why I gave it 5 stars, it's because it is exactly what it tries to be. A local coffee bar, with a good atmosphere, comfy seating, a sunny patio, with a good selection of eats. It's always been clean during my visits and has a welcoming modern design without being pretentious. Keep up the great work and I hope to visit again soon.

Go for the delicious coffee, baked goods and light lunches. Return for the welcoming, spacious ambiance - indoors and out! The Birch cliff moved this year from a tiny cramped space to a beautiful, larger end unit in the same strip of shops. Inside is a charming fireplace area with love seats and plenty of tables for relaxed conversation. Outdoors there's a canoped large patio and small parking lot framed with birch trees. It looks wheelchair accessible.

Enjoyed my experience here. It's a modern, hipstery place without too much of the hipster crowd given the location. There's lots of seating although we chose to sit outside in one of the two benches they have. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Their drinks menu is pretty big and they allow for modifications to cater to lactose intolerant, non dairy people. They have a selection of sweet treats which sell out pretty fast and have sandwiches too which can be made vegan+vegetarian. Prices were reasonable overall.

I had a really unpleasant experience. Was met with disgruntled pained faces of the two ladies who were working at the time I arrived. I had to re-ask for my latte three times because the cashier was far too busy having a chat with the barista to listen to what I was ordering. I moved down the line to receive my coffee, so I tried to casual engage the barista in conversation. She was very cold and blew me off because she clearly preferred to talk to the other staff. When I received my latte, after about 10 minutes of waiting, I was a little upset at the amount of foam I had in my coffee. It was more like a cappuccino !! Giving up, I just took my now-cappuccino and left. I recommend if anyone is going to try this place, to come when the two male staff are working. They were always very professional and made me feel welcome. And their coffee was great!

Beautiful little coffee shop with friendly staff. They brought my matcha green tea latte to my table as it takes a bit longer to make. I also tried their banana muffin crumble it was delicious with some butter on the side. While I was there multiple families with young children came in. I think this place is a wonderful place to grab a coffee to go or sit and relax with family and friends.

We stopped by after an afternoon at Bluffers beach. The icecream was fresh and fantastic and served up with smiles. Even with masks and strong covid protocols, service was friendly and super quick. The black cherry, praline and strawberry icecream flavours really hit the spot. Great taste and portion sizes. Highly recommend!

An adorable cafe for locals in the birchcliff area. Its not confused about what it is. It is a coffee/tea shop serving up basic to mildly fancy beverages with a small counter of baked yummy goods. No sandwiches or prebottled beverages.. they use fantastic beans and have excellent equipment to grind and brew the drinks. The atmosphere is so cute. It's simple but darling. It makes you feel comfortable and makes you feel like staying a while. Love coming here.

Always a fan of coffee shops that are serious about what they do and aim to offer a neighbourhood a much higher standard of service and product than it has previously had. This place stands out in an area that is predominantly populated by dive bars and sketchy food places. It’s fresh, clean, and clearly cares a lot and has high standards. It's no wonder they're always full! Pretty good coffee, although I've never really been impressed with the food. Still, 5 stars for trying to up the standard of the usual offerings in the neighbourhood! And the staff is always friendly!! A breath of fresh air.

The Birchcliff is a great place with great coffees and treats - we are regulars BUT.... two weeks ago we ordered two matcha lattes to go. Once we started to drink them about 5km later, we realized they were not matcha lattes but chai lattes. Well done but not what we ordered. Last weekend we were in and ordered two matches again and told the server that the last time we ordered matcha we got chai. No apology at all... which is all we wanted. Just a 'wow that's a totally different drink' and that's it. Super unimpressed with the lack of caring. I'd have thought an apology straight away would be in order. I guess my standards are too high.

Very nice local coffee shop, and a rare find in the area. I really like the ambiance and the historic pictures on the walls. I've been here a few times and coffee and other drinks and pastries been always great. They accommodate all kinds of dietary substitutes as well. I went there with a stroller today and even though they were helpful with getting door, and seating, I wish they would make this place more wheelchair friendly overall (i.e. automatic door, etc.) Another improvement that can be done is better advertising on their food selections; sandwiches, etc. I could see some people ordered lunches but didn't see the selection on the large menu above.

A small cafe in the beaches area. This cafe features a modern decor, and bright lighting that is complimented by large windows facing Kingston Road. A little less intense lighting would create a warmer atmosphere, and be more inviting. Supply was short when I visited, brew coffee was sold out 45 minutes before close. There was minimal bakery selection at the time of visit. The Nanaimo bar I purchased was quite decadent. Although I found the Batista having to go to the basment to cut it in half a little strange. If I was in the area I would probably go again; but I hope they have coffee this time.

The cutest coffee shop in the Birch Cliff village. It has a classic charm created with beautiful wooden bars and historical photography of the neighbourhood. Incredible coffee, treats, and delightful staff. The owner, Olivia, is a powerhouse who is just a wonderful woman and community member. The Birch Cliff Coffee Bar now even features a Sugar Cookie Latte that with every one purchased provides a meal for a hungry neighbour through the Bluffs Food Bank. Make sure you stop in over the holidays to warm your belly and your heart with this delicious treat!

What a gem! Wasn't expecting to find this in the neighborhood. Open up in Etobicoke please ???? Delicious coffee and amazing treats. Loved the photo wall and the beautiful birch wreath. We will be back.

Delicious fresh coffee and simple breakfast food options, they also have a lot of unique seasonal offerings. Nice outdoor section as well for people to sit and eat. Friendly and generous staff, helped us make our best choices. Parking might be a bit tricky depending on the time of day you try to swing by

Nice atmosphere and decent drinks, the cashier was nice but the person making drinks in the other side of the counter seemed a little rude :/ I thought it was a one time thing but she gave my friend and me weird looks the whole time and we weren’t loud or anything. We stopped meeting up there since we felt so unwelcome.

We absolutely love this place!! We pop in often to pick up “to go” but absolutely love when we can sit and enjoy our drinks and treats in the beautiful space. All the staff is so so friendly and wonderful. We go so often that our 2 year old hops in her play car and tells us “Bye mommy and daddy! I’m going to The Birch Cliff!” It is her absolute favourite spot - and ours too!

This has saved my lockdown! I get an oat milk latte and they’re some of the best I’ve had in the city. Also please get the croissants! Fresh and crunchy without being oily at all. My whole family loves this place and the staff feel like old friends. Thank you birchcliff!

Cute little coffee shop on Kingston road. Came here to get some work done and also have a cup of matcha latte. The cafe is cute and prices are like any other cafe in Toronto. I like that they have a non dairy option for your latte. I'll have to come back and try their food.

Really do like this place, and not because it's the only place around (well maybe a little) cute atmosphere, pleasant employees, and nice simple decor. The food and drinks are a little on the pricy side and it can take a long time if your ordering more than 1 barista drink from them but they offer free WiFi and no say time limit.

Very good coffee coffee shop! Was here during covid so only 3 people allowed in the shop at a time. There was a constant line one people outside. They have an extended patio outside but still not tons of seating considering how busy it was. The bathrooms were clean. The pastries looked good but I didn't try any.

Quaint, well designed and homey feeling cafe, serving great coffee and healthy breakfast and snack foods... But they have really renovated and upgraded their indoor store, and their outdoor patio is luxurious compared to most now! With enough room to meet pandemic guidelines, it is a great way to spend a relaxing part of your day! A definite place to check out!
