First time.We ordered online via our cellphone- good system. Lunch items ready to go before the time stated. Nice. My husband had the roast beef sandwich. He thought the bread tasted a bit stale; as well there was so much on the sandwich that the taste of the beef was kind of lost. I had the citrus squash quinoa salad with falafels. It was OK. I think had we ordered coffees, pastries, and desserts we would be giving glowing ten star ratings.

Omg...such a great little place for a treat!! I had a latte and a macaron and it was so delicious! It smelled wonderful in there and you could tell things were being freshly cooked. I will definitely be back! All covid protocols being followed. Thank you for being a great little shop!

Y'all need to cancel whatever breakfast plans you had for tomorrow and go to Sparrow Coffee for this piece of heaven on earth. So, this bad boy is the Monarch breakfast sammy. An egg, cheese, apples, arugula, fig jam, caramelized onions and beautiful shaved ham all in a wonderful fluffy poppyseed bagel. I was so happy with the all the flavours, definitely work so well together. I would 10/10 eat this everyday, but I would need to get a p/t job for that haha Also got (no pics, sorry) the eggs benny and the rhubarb crumble cheesecake. We both ate the cheesecake and fully agreed this needs to happen again, and she thoroughly enjoyed her benny. Thank you Sparrow for an amazing breakfast!!

Lovely place! Has such a nice atmosphere. The eggs benedict was delicious, as was the cappuccino. I also got a caramel pear scone to go because I can't resist a baked good. All very good quality food and the service was excellent! Friendly and accommodating staff.

Sparrow is a nice place and it will be even better once we can eat in the beautifully curated space post-pandemic. They have a wide variety of coffee bean options to purchase to take home, I can’t wait to grab a bag myself. As for the dessert showcase, it’s beautiful and full of delicious little treats. The drinks and menu items are good, not write home amazing, but definitely a hearty meal which will leave you wishing you had left more room for all their dessert options.

Sparrow coffee delivers the best coffee around Saskatoon, hands down. With top end extracting machines and exclusive beans, their options are made with excellence. I've appreciated the precautionary measures they have put in place to keep customers safe during the time of Covid, and am glad that they've stayed afloat. The staff have been very patient with trying customers and have done well with managing the new ordering system. Last I attempted to order a pour over, they notified me they temporarily removed pour overs because the extraction process takes too long. I do wish they were returned to the menu. Keep up the good work.

Oooooo! We had a chance to try their rosemary rhubarb pound cake the other day! That was awesome! After some days still I am thinking about that taste! It was memorable! The only disappointing point was their tea selection (although their coffee selection is impressive) .I wish they expand the tea menu in near future! Another great point I have to mention is the water they used for preparing my tea. It was so soft and made my tea more flavorful! Thank you! I hope next time we can seat and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of this cozy cafe! ????

I'm glad I tried this place for take out! The good, a light and tasty salad with a tzatzki dressing with lots of fresh ingredients. The bad but oh so good, the fruit flavored cheese cake with melt in your mouth cream cheese filling and whipped cream.

This is a fabulous little cafe. Wonderfully inviting decor and excellent natural light from the large windows. The lattes we enjoyed were fantastic and beautifully crafted. We ordered some muffins to go with and they were moist and delicious. All covid protocols are being followed and they kindly ask you to limit your stay to 1hr. It's no wonder as it was quite steady with traffic the entire time we were there.

I eat here 2-3 times a week. I work at the hospital and use the online ordering function from my office. I walk the three blocks and I wave from the door or say “online order for Mary” and it magically appears. I can barely walk back to the hospital without eating it. My favourite is the chorizo burrito. I eat it at 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm. It’s all day good. My fav part is the crispy chorizo with the potatoes and the tasty spicy bite that is different than just frank’s red hot. On the days I don’t get the burrito, I go for the savoury turnovers, turkey and brie, or their rotating salads. ???? Thank you for feeding me!!

Sparrow is one of the few third wave cafés in Saskatoon and one of the nicest. Not only is it spacious with huge windows and a calm vibe but their coffee and baked goods are the superior quality and even include gluten friendly options.

I recently started working nearby and been to Sparrow for lunch on a couple of occasions. The staff were great as was the food, and I found the covid precautions reassuring knowing they are ready to help with contact tracing as well as providing hand sanitizer and requiring masks while in queue. I feel I will be a semi frequent customer due to proximity and the relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend if you want some local Saskatoon taste and responsible ownership.

I visit the place often, very good food and coffee. I have a concern though which I could be wrong (since this place has open, I have been visiting them)....WHY I DON'T SEE DIVERSITY? If local shops ask for local support, are they going to support local diverse population????? This is my reply - This has been my general observation that I don't see any ethnic employee as a front face to our Saskatoon local cafe's(city perks, living sky café, calories, simply grounded coffee, homequaters...)and I see them all in fast food chains like Tim's, McDonald..etc. I do see very little of them in popular restaurant chain. So, are they not qualified enough? Yes, I do know two girls that are of different ethnicity applied at your place and many other café places that they didn't get reply. Because, I visit your place the most as I support local that I felt the need to bring this up. As I said previously, your place is a great place to have food or coffee, courteous staff. Let's try to change this systemic racism.

Review is based on their breakfast alone. Was very excited to try, got the breakfast burrito and breakfast bowl (a). Burritos flavour was completely overshadowed by the potato and black beans, which made up 99% of it. If you want a burrito full of flavourless potatos and spicy black bean paste, the burrito is for you. The breakfast bowl looked and sounded great, however the potatos and eggs were completely unseasoned, no butter on the toast, and the uncooked spinach and tomato "salad" seemed sad and pointless. Coffee was good however for this to be a cafe I expected a few more interesting coffee choices as coffee is the main staple for cafes, rather than the basics and your traditional psl for fall.

I had a great experience. Cortney took my order and despite the mask, you could see the smile in her eyes. I drank my cappuccino way to quickly and needed another drink. I asked for a regular coffee and was recommended a "pour over" which I had never heard about before. What a great coffee! Jordan, who brewed my drink took the time to show me the coffee, beans and how he made it. He even took the time to recommend some videos I could watch to maximize my home brew experience. I can't wait to try my home brew kit and beans at home! Jordan definitely deserves a raise and Cortney was great too! I will definitely be back!

Unfortunately we had a bad experience for our first time and probably last. We ordered a Charcuterie board to dine in. First we got it in a box for some reason then, We didn’t get any any eggs, nuts and seeds instead We got brown toast a dry bagel and a burn pancake. I love this place. They have a really great selection of coffee beans from a variety of Canadian roasters. Their lattes are great and so are the baked goods. I've had their breakfast charcuterie and The Monarch sandwich - highly recommend! For all the times that I have come through, the staff are excellent. They take the time to chat with me and to make me feel so welcomed. I highly recommend this place.

Horrible customer service. Weird process, you need to provide phone number, email, address and how to find them answer to get a cup of coffee, seriously? What a joke. This is almost harassment and force customer to get their personal info. You cant get coffee without a mask on face and as soon as you get coffee, free to remove mask, really? Rude staff to tell rules to “certain people” while other are free whatever. Terrible place, would never ever go there and wont recommend anyone else.

If wish I could give Sparrow 10 stars! I have been going to the cafe since it opened and was always happy with the baking and the staff is friendly. The cheesecake and grilled cheese sandwich is fantastic! When I wanted to make some changes last minute on a special order, they worked over night to address this change. Great product and great people too!

Excellent green tea (resteeped for free) and the vegan roast veg salad with cashew cheese was unreal! Big serving and very filling with the falafels! Misto was a bit.. watery? I had it with oat milk and while the coffee was lovely (no bitterness), I am not sure if the milk choice was just underwhelming? No vegan baking available unfortunately but the salad (if you can call it that with how dense it was) was so damn good I didnt miss the baking. Overall, a good option for vegans.

After hearing and seeing good reviews I was sorely disappointed. I was there at 12:25 PM on July 28. I ordered the honey-something chicken sandwich and my dining partner order the cabbage salad. The salad he thought was wonderful, and from the taste I had, I agreed. The service was unfriendly to the point of being surly. The sandwich was terrible. As Anthony Bourdain always says, do not put too much wet stuff in a sandwich. The sandwich was so slippery that it fell apart and slipped around so many times as I was eating it with the very wet ricotta sauce dripping out into the wrapper. It was almost impossible to eat. The bagel was delicious but not appropriate for this kind of sandwich. One has to bite so hard, that the filling just slips out. In situations like this, I wonder if the creator of this sandwich ever sat down, tried to eat the whole thing, and reflected on how difficult it is to eat. A ricotta spread? Ricotta is too wet to put in a sandwich. The chicken was chewy. The dried berry condiment was not spread throughout the sandwich, just on one side. With two unpleasant, over-roasted, cold brew coffees and tip this meal was a $50+ lunch. Whoa! I stop here.
