Donuts were okay, would've rather spent my money on Tim Hortons donuts. They tasted stale, but maybe that's due it to being vegan? Highly overpriced and staff rushes you. Would not go again.

Ok. This is a very good donut. The fritters are probably the best I’ve had. The strawberry/rhubarb was delicious and all and all not too sweet! Why the 3 Stars? I call it like it is. While the dough is perfect and the flavours are creative, where they lost me is on the “cream”. Had the key lime, with a fake tasting lime flavour and I have no clue what that oily whip is since it is certainly not cream. Likewise for the Coconut “Cream” Great donut but filled with some fake whatever- just doesn’t cut it. The whole 100% vegan thing is doing a disservice to some of these donuts. At the very least try and make a coconut whip cream to fill the Coconut ones. My wife who is a coconut cream anything fanatic- simply couldn’t eat them. They’re really good- but absolutely could be A LOT better.

Best vegan doughnuts! I've had vegan doughnuts in Montreal, Hamilton, Toronto, and Winnipeg - these are by far the yummiest ones I've ever had. The dough is soft, pillowy, and tasty. The fillings and toppings are creative and delicious. All the doughnuts are vegan... ALL OF THEM!! I am especially impressed that they are a conscientious business and employer and they contribute to their community.

St. Catharines is known for its doughnuts and this place justifies that distinction. These are the best doughnuts you will ever find. When the place first opened there were long line-ups even before opening time. Now there usually isn't much of a wait even though there seems to be a constant stream of customers.

If you are in the market for doughNuts, this establishment has been very reliable for myself and every flavour is equally delicious. I would say the price is fair but keep in mind they are made with lots of sugar so if you don't like that ingredient then I would say it may not be the place for you.

We have a child that is allergic to milk and egg. We saw Beechwood advertise vegan donuts so we gave it a try. They are so good- that we had to call in and double check that there's no egg or dairy. On our trip to Niagara on the Lake my girlfriend and I stopped in St Catharines to check out Beechwood Donuts. Coming from Hamilton I had a general idea of what to expect at Beechwood but thankfully I was pleasantly surprised. The Beechwood Donuts location is amazing right in the heart of downtown. It's easily accessible by foot and there are a ton of places nearby that you can enjoy your donut. There isn't any seating inside but it doesn't make it awkward or crowded like some of the other donut places. The donut prices are the lowest I've seen here in Southern Ontario and you still end up getting a huge donut so you know they're not cutting costs. The donuts are delicious and don't really taste like the other donuts that I've had. It has more of a funnel cake flavor rather than just another ball of dough and sugar. The customer service is great and I like how they have different options for pricing depending on what donut you want. You can't beat the 10% off if you bring your own container! In my opinion, Beechwood Donuts is the best donut shop that you'll find outside of Toronto. I'll definitely be driving back to pick up a few boxes every now and then! Check out Beechwood Donuts ASAP - you won't be disappointed!

Amazing! They have the best vegan donuts! The flavours are amazing and change up (check their website for flavours of the day) - they always post any days they are closed on the website as well! Great atmosphere - staff is kind and will let you know about the flavours and what they recommend. You can save 10% if you bring your own container for the donuts!

Amazing Doughnuts. We love to visit Beechwood Doughnuts - in fact we make many day trips to Beechwood in order to get some of their amazing doughnuts. There is almost always a line up - but it moves fast. They have plenty of donuts on the go, and many different flavours. The best flavours are Birthday Cake, and their seasonal fritters - but definitely find your own favourites. The service is fast and efficient. Prices - you are paying for gourmet vegan donuts - enjoy them.

Best donuts anywhere! Tons of variety on their core menu and their seasonal flavours are incredible - lots of different tastes and textures from a cake donut to a cronut. Love that all of their donuts are vegan and that they are a living wage employer. We always get a half dozen delivered to our home and the cost with tax and tip is still way less than you pay for fancy donuts Toronto that don't taste half as good.

Mmmmmm. All I can say. I have a dairy sensetivity, so access to delicious doughnuts is already appealing to me. So tasty. I can't even list all the ones I've tried. They are all good. Fav has to be the fritter though. The other in the photo is the Tiremasu and it was delicious, but the fritter owns it for me. So crispy and sweet and apply and just yum.

This is NOT a gluten-free HamBRGR bun ???? - it's actually the new EVERYTHING donut. Not for everyone I agree, but it sparked joy in me! A signature Beechwood donut, stuffed with chive cream cheese filling and a crunchy poppy seed, garlic, sesame seed, rock salt topping. It's their first SAVORY donut, and it makes a great breakfast (lunch, brunch, dinner, dessert) bagel alternative. They even put it in its own separate box so as not to get garlic on my fritters. 10/10 would gorp again! Can't wait to see what's next on the Savory menu.

Definitely the best gourmet doughnuts in western Ontario, the prices are very reasonable but the taste is priceless. My personal favourite is the coconut, very creamy and rich, they also have seasonal themed doughnuts (pumpkin spice is definitely a go to with a cup of coffee) and for those who can’t choose, an everything doughnut, definitely a must if you’re visiting the region and if you’re from town and haven’t had one, then you’re missing out.

Amazing local donuts. Made in store, often you can see them being made right behind the counter. Worth the slightly higher price. At busy time there is often a line-up out the door, be prepared to wait a little. Also have Balzac's coffee, cold bottled drinks, and soft-serve ice cream. Highly recommend!

You can't eat these every day as much as you would like to, but do treat yourself once in awhile because the donuts here are so delicious!! Staff is great & they do get busy at lunch time, so you may have to wait. It's worth it though!

Always love coming here when I'm able to (we live in another city, boo) and picking up new donuts that are monthly specials, but also the commonplace staples, like birthday cake!! :) I didn't even know they were vegan until a few visits in. If you're vegan, awesome! If you're not, they're so delicious that you'll never notice, seriously. Always friendly staff, and even on days like today, with the line almost halfway to the door, it was really quick. Definitely worth the price too. Some people might be surprised about a $2.50 donut, but in this case, you get what you pay for (and then some, imo!) Definitely an amazing stop in downtown St Catharines!

Was in town for a few days, and was recommended to try this place. For less than $3 you get one of the best donuts in Ontario: Awesome flavours, perfect size and carefully prepared. These donuts are NOT small. They’re easily 1.5 / 2 times the size of your standard donut. There aren’t many parking spots in the area, but it’s absolutely worth driving around and finding one. You won’t be disappointed. Will definitely be back!!!

Make sure you give yourself 15 minutes when you go visit, there's usually a little lineup and a little bit of a wait. Lots of good varieties, very tasty, and they have a good supply. The price reflects the quality of the donuts. They do offer some drinks however the main reason to visit is for the vegan donuts. Yes you'll be surprised that they are all vegan as they taste very good.

Absolutely the best doughnuts you will ever have in your life. I'm a vegan due to an egg allergy and it's lovely to be able to walk in and know I can eat everything without having a reaction. They have the best flavours ever and every time my boyfriend and I introduce our friends and family to their doughnuts, it's now requested we bring doughnuts with us to every event as most of our social circle lives in the GTA. Definitely when you see them on the menu try any of the berry fritters and the cronuts are to die for. Delicious donuts and fast service. The only issue is you have to eat them really fresh. Something about the vegan recipe leaves them hard to reheat and they get hard faster than a classic donut. That being said, if you get it fresh. It's easily one of the best donuts I've ever eaten.

By far, my favourite doughnut shop in southwestern Ontario. My go-to flavours are the filled doughnuts, especially the birthday cake. Their fritters are also very delicious! Super friendly staff even when they get very busy. I recommend pre-ordering the day before as they have long lines for drop-ins and tend to sell out early.

SO FREAKIN DELICIOUS!!! I have never had a doughnut I did not enjoy here. The have an incredible selection of tasty and unique flavours and the staff is so lovely and patient as you hmmm and hawww over the display case. I am not local to the area but always stopped in to grab an amazing vegan treat when visiting family. This pandemic has made those visits impossible (for safety sake) and its torture to continue to follow their online posts with drool worthy pictures knowing I can not get my hands on these at the moment. So, I have loved Beechwood Donuts from day 1. However, I had to write a review after taking a bunch to my family for Christmas, and EVERYBODY absolutely loved them. They didn't even CARE that they were eating vegan donuts, they enjoyed them too much! Between the quality of the donuts, the amazing soft serve, and getting a coffee from the lovely staff whenever I am downtown, Beechwood ALWAYS comes with a strong recommendation from me!

These are, hands down the BEST doughnuts I've ever had. My only complaint is that the doughnuts can be very greasy / oily sometimes, but I've only had that with a small handful of them. These are some of the BEST doughnuts I've ever tasted. The texture is so incredibly light and fluffy, its dangerous because you feel like you can eat more in 1 sitting. They have a variety of flavours to choose from, both stuffed and non-stuffed. The stuffed one (nutella) was a bit too stuffed for me (you can see from the picture that it was 95% stuffed but if you're a nutella fan, you'll love this. It surprisingly wasn't as sweet as normal nutella which was nice). They change their flavours and currently, no walk-in's. Online ordering in advance but its so easy and fast to pick up. I highly recommended this place and its worth a trip out here!

There was a bit of a line when we came but it moved quickly and was totally worth waiting through. They have an awesome variety of flavours so you're sure to find something you like. We tried the peach fritter, tiramisu, pistachio, and french toast. The dough on all of them was so fresh and light and perfectly fluffy. Exactly what I love doughnuts to be! I'll definitely be back to try more flavours the next time I'm in St Catherine's.

These are seriously the best doughnuts ever. And they're vegan. We drive from the U.S. just for these doughnuts. They have a lot of different flavor options and they're all amazing. There's always a line but I've never waited more than 5 minutes, if that. Everybody that works there is very friendly. They serve Balzak (????) coffee and have a few different milk alternatives. They also have kombucha and soft serve ice cream. They only thing I wish they had was indoor seating because there isn't any at all. They have some outdoor seats and tables but that's not a year round option. There isn't much parking, but that's to be expected for the area.

I'm a fan! It was my first time visiting and I was pleasantly surprised. The doughnut selection is great and the lineups are handled well. There wasn't any seating inside but maybe this changes in the summer? I also like that when you buy 6 or more doughnuts there is no tax - that's a plus in my books :)

I wasn't sure about it being vegan, but oh boy... Don't let that influence your decision one bit. These were all fantastic - but there's always a soft spot for an apple fritter. The creme filled ones (cookies and creme, birthday cake etc) were very rich, but not in a bad way... Maybe a tad unhealthy, but quite worth it. ????

Ok needed to share this from today. Was driving by 30 min from closing looking to pick up a few donuts. Talked to a gentlemen that told me to just come by and he will give me 3 they have left. No parking on the street but managed to throw it in park and run to the door where he was waiting for me. Hands down the best donuts in town! Chocolate dip is my most favorite. Tried coconut cream for the first time, perfect balance of sweetness. I liked the apple fritter and French toast as well. Cookie dough is also good but a little too sweet compared to the other ones I love. Out of all the ones I tried, cosmic brownie was my least favorite. You have to go early in the day if walking in or pre-order is also a good idea.

Our wedding was postponed due to the pandemic, and they were very accommodating when we had to alter our order, even though we had pre-paid. Rating based on reputation and referrals by friends and colleagues who recommended I visit Beechwood when I found myself in St Catharines. My experience was mixed as I had occasion to be downtown for a street festival and vendor market, and thought of them, I walked over only to find they're currently doing only online pre-orders and not open for same day, walk in business, understandable and everyone has their comfort level about the current public health crisis. One unrelated and astonishing aspect of visiting St Catharine's downtown was the fact I was approached by four individuals asking for spare change. An unfortunate set of circumstances and I've never been asked by such a high number of people anywhere including Hamilton. I was chased down Spadina Avenue a long time ago by someone with mental health challenges, but four people asking for a hand out is a personal record. I gave what I could to help, hoping it was a hand up for each of them and that they're able to reach out to social programs for assistance. Hope they were the exception rather than the norm for this attractive city in Niagara. Is Niagara a socio-economic disadvantaged wasteland? GM closed a long time ago. Will try to visit Beechwood again in the future with a pre-order placed online.

Was in the area and decided to search for a local donut place. Checked out Beechwood, it didn't disappoint. Really neat that you can see "behind the scenes" into the kitchen from the line. The donuts were tasty, and I liked the presentation. It's also awesome that they are a living wage business. If I am ever back in the area I'll check it out again. Only confusing part was the pricing since each donut has a different price, and it was written in small text on each card attached to the donuts in the display case.

I was a little skeptical that vegan anything could be as good or better than the “real” thing, but Beechwood delivered in a big way. These donuts lived up to all the hype. We tried several flavours and the favourites for us were the chocolate cheesecake, the French toast (understated but so good), coconut cream and of course the pina colada cronut!

Listen to me, if you have a sweet tooth, just do it! These are AMAZING. I just had the Birthday Cake donut and it's the best donut I've ever had. I also had the Cookie Dough donut and my god, insane! We've since had donuts delivered twice in the past 4 weeks and unfortunately they are arriving seemingly day old/stale. This comment was made by all in the house who had a donut or two. We ordered 9 for delivery yesterday and they were average. Hopefully this is just an anomaly and things improve.

Good fried yeast donuts. They're fresh, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The flavours though aren't amazing. Tried their Chai Latte, Cookies and Cream, Salted Caramel, and Matcha. While you can taste a bit of the flavours, they're not too identifiable. But they're all tasty nonetheless. There's no seating. Just a space for the long lineup.

Was in the area and finally got to try. I like the open concept where you can see the donuts being made. Also like that another person gets the donuts and not the cashier, makes the line go faster. I warmed the notella donut and the chocolate inside went all over! So do not warm it! It was also very sweet, I suggest eating half at a time. I really like the fritters (carrot cake and blueberry). I am a huge fan of fritters and I enjoyed the taste of yours. Great pricing for the size and flavours offered. Wish finding parking was easier, especially for those from out of town like me.

They are pretty decent donuts if eaten the day of, however I had to give it two stars because I ordered two pumpkin cronuts and they were so incredibly greasy no one in my family could stomach them, when you took a bite grease would literally squish into your mouth. Not sure if this was a result of the oil temp being too low?

Cute little place with delish doughnuts! Don't wait too long at the end of the day, they run out of doughnuts! We missed out on 'birthday cake' by 1 person! :( We had the mint chocolate cheesecake (reminiscent of girl guide mint cookies but in a good way lol), the chocolate brownie (mmm) and the sweet potato marshmallow (reminds me of cinnabon strangely but it all works so well!).
