We ordered a falafel wrap, a beef shawarma platter, and baklava. We had to look twice through the delivered items because we couldn't find any bread for the shawarma platter, which comes with hummus and clearly needs something to eat it with. There was no bread. Not sure if this was an oversight or you need to order the bread separately, but this was an unexpected twist which dampened our overall experience. And what a shame, because the food was actually really good. Baklava was okay, a bit on the dry side. For $10 you get under 250 grams (not a pound as stated online). I thought 1 pound advertised was too good of a deal for sure, but half of that is not a good deal at all for the price. That said, the falafel was really good, the bread (not pita, but the other one) it was wrapped in was thin and easy to eat. Rice, beef and salad in the platter complemented each other well, they were fresh and delicious. Overall a good experience. Will be going back, if only to figure out if the platter actually comes with the bread.

Have been there for the first time, must say it’s a fantastic shawarma place. Their fries is unique and delicious, mean is very fresh and tasty. Visited Middle East a few years ago and this place is first in Winnipeg that is closest to the “real shawarma”. Just a great place, Will definitely come back there again!

I had their chicken sharma and French fries. The sharma was aweful in taste. Small amount of meat inside the sharma. Horrible taste. Couldnt eat the full the sharma. But the fries was good. Customer service is horrible. I ordered over the phone and they dont talk on the phone. The guy told me to go to their website and check their menu. I asked him what is included in the platter as it wasnt mentioned in the menu. He said the same thing and cut the phone thrice.

I like the food there but recently I had a bad experience. I ordered for a Shawarma and I like the one with Pita bread and that's how its served across the world. They had 3 options of bread and when I ordered at the counter, I did not specify the bread assuming pita was the default bread and it was the cheapest of all 3 breads. The person charged me for Saaj bread (like Tortilla). I did not give much attention to the amount charged as I had ordered couple of more things. When the food arrived, the shawarma did not taste good as the bread was different and I do not like tortilla. When i asked the staff member, why was Saaj bread provided. He said if nothing is specified we provide Saaj bread.. that' was unacceptable to me as it was not a fair practice to charge the most expensive bread if the type of bread was not specified. At least he should have asked me my choice of bread before proceeding. That's how it happens in Subway etc.. I did not like the shawarma and could only eat 1/3 and left the place. I was not happy with that experience. In fact in the past I had good experience.

I rarely write reviews, but this Middle Eastern Café deserves one. The food is fantastic, always! I've tried several different items, and have never been disappointed. The staff and owner are very warm and friendly, as is the clientele. Once inside, you are transported to a far away land with the scents of spices and food. I'm not sure how they do it, but you really have to try the french fries...some of the best ever!

I have only discovered this gem a few weeks ago and I’ve been here a total of 7 times already! The home made baba ganosh and hummus are the best in the city and the most authentic! Highly recommend this place! They have a smoker and a non smoker section so it is also kid friendly!

I love Ramallah Cafe, I have been going there since they open. I love their amazing shishas, the lentil soup which I try every single time i am there, falafel wrap is mouth watering and the juices that will make you wanna come back every weekday freshly squeezed and refreshing. I would recommend to just give a try and judge it yourself. I guarantee you the service and the food will not disappoint you.

Best falafel in town. This used to be an unknown gem, open till 4, and a great, quiet place to get a late snack and smoke shisha with friends. Unfortunately, it got popular, so it's quite crowded with teens in the evenings. They're expanding, so hopefully it'll be less crowded. Still, the food, coffee, and shisha selection and quality is excellent, with friendly staff. Go during the day for a quieter experience. Try the in-house juices or arabic coffee

My favorite is the "Saturday brunch" which has become the everyday brunch $19.99 for this brunch includes tea (you have options, black or green and they add fresh mint leaves that they grow there), 5 items (falafel, hummus, labneh, cheese plate, pickle plate) and the in house fresh made shrak bread This is a vegetarian meal. I did inquire and they do have a number of vegan options as well. Another favorite special is the whole chicken. $20 includes a whole chicken, rice (its not plain white, its flavored), hummus and garlic sauce as well as the shrak bread. The portions are very generous. The hummus and the falafel was excellent. Everything else was good. Service was exceptionally friendly. The food type is Palestinian. The pistachio baklava was delicious as well. I'd skip the peanut butter smoothie. The strawberry Banana smoothie was better. I like going there when its quiet. I don't prefer when people are smoking hookah. They don't have a section where you can eat without dealing with the smoke if there are smokers nearby. There are 3 sections to the restaurant now. All 3 allow hookah smoking and is it very popular. On a late Sunday night the place was packed. Take out is an option. Now that I've been here a few times I will say some servers are far better than others.

This is by far my favorite Sharma place in the city!! Located just south of confusion corner on Pembina, they have fast service when it comes to ordering takeout. Meat is always tender!! My go to is the lamb donair sharak combo (drink and fries with garlic dip). Haven't tried their hookah lounge though.

Fantastic! This is the third time I've tried middle Eastern food, and I'm hooked. I tried the avacado salad with beef schwarma, the chicken schwarma platter, and the falafels. I ordered extra incase I disliked anything. It was all exceptionally tasty. I'll be having some gor breakfast. I was told my order was gluten free, so we'll see if I wake up with blisters or not.......if not than I'll be eating from here frequently. I highly recommend this place!

We used to order online the whole chicken menu but recently we decided to visit the location and I notice the kitchen people were not wearing any masks. The chicken from the order I got, was flipped over but didn’t put much attention to that, and when we got to flip it over at home, we noticed it was cold to the touch and it was a bit pink, the flavour was a bit off too. So we decided to not order from this place anymore. I wanted to share this in case it is of any help to anyone.

Update: Their service improved, I would suggest making the restaurant less creepy: I'm referring to the back area and the washroom I didn't feel invited when I spoke to the guy taking orders. I ordered a Beef shawarma, although authentic from other places in Winnipeg, meat was a bit burnt, otherwise very good. I recommend it if you want to taste something that truly tastes like shawarma from Jordan/Syria/Lebanon/Palestine (it's Homeland). I hope this review helps push you forward and excel! Best of luck.

Very bad experience. Arrived past midnight. Were seated and when we ordered the sheesha, we were told that there is a minimum order. No notice whatsoever. So we ordered extra. Sheesha had no flavour. Beef shawarma was over cooked. Staff was not helpful and only said next time we will make it better. My friend already had warned me about the owner trying to gouge customer with entry fees/ minimum order fees. Not gng there again. P.S- Personally Mazaag is a far better place.

I am not even from Winnipeg but I visited this place twice authentic taste fresh food, I am not a huge fan of salads but salad at Ramallah is best. Only one issue they should separate shesha lounge and dining area because people with family and kids are not comfortable while they were sitting in shesha lounge. Highly recommended.

One of the other reviews used the word 'authentic' and I had to put that up front as well. For the food and the hospitality. The physical premises are literally cafeteria style. But so what. The staff/owners were soooooo nice. They made a genuine effort to ensure we were enjoying our dinners - and we were. The lamb donair, the chicken Shawarma, hummus with that flat bread... we shared and loved it all. You just don't get those flavours around here. Oh, and they have two hookah rooms attached where people were quietly on-line, having supper, chatting... very cool.

Not only is the customer service great, but the food is really delicious! It is very authentic middle eastern cuisine. The one down side is that it is not a great place for children (young ones under the age of 16) because it is also a hookah bar. I don’t smoke hookah and just go there for the food and I find the smell of it quite overwhelming so now a days I opt for takeout only! However, they have a great selection of tobacco and non-tobacco hookah and a lengthy list of flavours! It is great to go with a big group of people. Although they have a hookah lounge separated from the dining area, it often fills up quickly and so there will be customers at tables in the dining area smoking hookah as well. All in all, I give this place 5 stars!

The food tasted terrific. The staff were attentive. It is a hookah cafe, so that was expected, but I wish there would have been a hookah free area. The pipes and smoke were not bothersome as there was plenty of airflow. However, we did smell the pipe a bit. I will definitely return and bring friends. I highly recommend the mix platter. Ate here on Saturday when they have a special brunch for 2 at only $20 and I must say it is quite good! It is a good vegetarian option brunch. They used to sell Rani here which was a good drink but now they have switched to Go Vianto of which I have yet to try. My Mixed Shawarma sandwich on Saj bread was exceptional the last time I was here. Good service. Delicious food. As a bonus, if you play Pokémon Go or Ingress then you are in luck with a PokéStop/Portal within reach while dining here! WiFi is also provided at this location from the business and Shaw Open nearby.

When I reorder the same plate, it always tastes identical to the last. No skimping on ingredients. Hands down, the best Levantine cuisine in the province. No contest.

You can authentic mughlai culture with lots of food varieties. One can find More than 10 flavours of sheesha, the best sheesha i ever tried. I chose orange n mint but next time i would better go for not so sweet flavour. The crowd starts coming after 7 7:30. Couples can hang up here as they have 3 rooms with different ambience. This place is amazing and the people who work there are the most friendly. Yes, you have to order at the front. Yes there is a very faint smell of shisha/coals from the hookah side, but it's only noticeable if you go to the bathroom which is on that side of the restaurant. I love their Shwarma platters. I usually get either mixed or beef, my wife gets chicken. We also get the fallafel. It's delicious food, the guy who runs it is friendly and takes good care of us. Children are welcome to be there, but I haven't seen high chairs. We have a toddler who makes a mess and we try to clean up, but the guy is really understanding. I'm told it is authentic, I wouldn't know. It is definitely delicious.

For my experience, the place looked great on the inside and out with a very modern look. They were very clean and they had a great selection of middle eastern food. For those doing Hookah/Shisha, They can either do Shisha in the front of the restaurant or they have a big dimly lit room with sofas perfect to chill with a friend or group of friends. The room can fit around 10 people. I came here at around 12 midday with two friends and as we entered the place it was a bit warm to comfortably chill in with friends, but turns out we might have been the first customers of the day to dine in the restaurant so the owner had just turned on the air conditioner. The place became cozy and cooler after the air conditioner was turned on, and the experience became perfect. They had great genuine Shawarma. The best I have tasted so far in Winnipeg. The beef Shawarma I ate was amazing. The place also served Halal chicken and beef which was a great thing since my friends would only eat Halal. From my observation this is a very popular for their food as there were plenty of Canadians who took out food from here while I was there. Their Hookah/Shisha experience was great and they provided individual mouth tip for each person, and they had more than 10 flavours to choose from. I would definitely return here for their Shawarma, and their Shisha. I recommend this place for their food and shisha.

We ordered the beef shawarma wrap and falafel wrap using their home made shrak bread ???? It was delicious with every bite!! Added heat with the falafel and it was perfect balance between savoury, acidity and heat!!!! Very generous with their beef portion as well. Definitely recommended and going back for sure! sorry no photos made- ate it too fast. The guy who served us was also very polite and personable.

My favourite spot for Middle Eastern food! Everything I’ve had here is good, but the hummus and falafel are the best in the city. The hummus is so smooth and silky with a good tehina flavour and comes topped with olive oil, green chillies and chickpeas. And the falafel is always super crispy (even when I order skip and it’s been packaged up for a while), with a lovely fresh green colour inside and nice toasty flavour from the sesame seeds on the outside. And the hot sauce they come with is really yummy as well. Highly recommend for a delicious meal of excellent value.

Very relaxed spot, super friendly staff with a smart looking store front where you can order and eat food leading to a nicely kept back area with couches, chairs and TVs. Staff will make sure you are enjoying yourself and are super polite and helpful if you don’t know what you’re doing. It’s a free for all with the music and can be kind of disrespectful at times so be prepared to listen to other people’s or shout down someone to play your own. If you want a hookah and a bite to eat this is probably what you have in mind.

I have been to that restaurant many many time and the food is the best very tasty, two day ago I went there and I saw something very funny a guy order a platter with rice after eating almost all the food I heard him complain that it was cold so the waiter brought him another one he did the same eat almost evrything loll and then said it was cold I was ready to tell him for someone that complain you eat almost evrything, then the waiter again told him he is sorry and offer him a 3 one the custumer reply to prepare it to go because he his full and he had 3 plate for the price of one how crazy is that. And now I could see that he wrote a review lolll he is nut case. If I was the waiter I will kick him out but because the people that work are very nice so those the owner they give him free food.

Best place in Winnipeg to have Arab Food. They have a lot of choices and they have hookahs as well. The only thing those who doesn't like smoke should not enter the restaurant as people smoke hookahs inside. Or else for me it was a great place.

Ordered chicken platter. Portion was small, but tasted good. I ordered from skip the dishes and just for the platter it was around 26$. I'd expect a late night Lebanese place to have some late night portions. Man's hungry

I ordered lots of food for pick up. Upon arrival, I decided to add some carrot juice to my order. I was told to wait so that they can prepare them for me. While I was sitting and waiting for the juice, I realized that the guy just shoves the dirty/unwashed carrots into the juicer. While I was analyzing the situation, the guy dropped a carrot on the filthy floor and he calmly picked it and shoved into the juicer. I was in such a shock that I didn’t know what to do. As I did not want to make a scene I paid and left. I tossed all the juice as I know what happened. I will NEVER go back to this place as such a horrendous act is an indication of a poor management to me. If an employee dares to do such thing, that means he feels OK to do so. That means the cleanness culture of the kitchen maybe the same if not worse.

There is always something wrong with the order: missing things, and giving wrong items, also charging for extras or sides that never get served. Staff always argues about any feedback or complaints. Very rude and mischievously slimy.

I am not an Arab, so dont take my word for it. However, growing up in an arab country, this definitely is closest to home. The taste is second to none, very reasonable price, value for money and the fries are amazing. I never had a bad experience with Ramallah, the food is always great!

The food is incredible. Incredibly tasty! The shisha is OK. Nothing special. The staff is really good! Attentive and friendly. The group of people who are at the cafe are questionable. It seems as half the people look at each other with spite and I feel a fight may break down. But over all, my friends and I enjoy the place. And we wouldn't mind watching something break out anyways, so a 4/5 from us lol! (Jk about that part btw).

It's been getting very good business that on weekends the place can get pretty packed. The staff however are pretty great and the fries are awesome! The seisha is one of the best in the city. The parking can be tricky as it is street parking but its not too bad, you can usually find a place within a few minutes.. this place is up and coming for sure!

The dishes we feasted on at Ranallah Cafe were full of lively spice and bright flavours. We had labneh, falafel, hummus, pickled vegetables, and goat cheese (all available as a brunch meal for two or more, available at anytime upon request); whole chicken with with seasoned rice served garlic sauce and hummus; mixed schwarma platter; and baklava for dessert. We had the honour of hearing from the owner of the restaurant tell us about the preparation and care that goes into the freshly made-to-order dishes, including the flatbread, with authenic ingredients and spices. Used to get their shawarma since it was the closest thing to authentic shawarma in winnipeg. Unfortunately they started using potatoes as a filler in their shawarmas. Havent ordered from them in a while so i dont known if they are still doing this but these type of practices just turn off people who know better. What ever you save on adding filler you lose on turned off customers.

Food was really good but had to wait for more than an hour for my wrap because SkipTheDishes is now a priority apparently.There was no line up when I got there but 10-15 SkipTheDishes drivers got there one by one and they were all able to get their orders right away. They gave us free dessert but it was still an hour of wait, not worth it. So I recommend the food, not the service.

I cannot say how much I love their food. As a guy who has lived in one of the Gulf countries, I can appreciate the authenticity of their food in a place where Middle-Eastern food is not properly known. I can say with complete confidence that if you are looking for authentic Arabic cuisine this would the place to go. Eating the 'Whole Chicken' from their menu brought back memories from the time I was living in Abu Dhabi. I would even go so far as to say there are some things they do even better like making the hummus and the garlic sauce for each of their orders, fresh, instead of stockpiling it. The only reason I did not give them a full star is because of 1), when ordering online or through phone they usually struggle with orders during rush hours which can be frustrating at times where orders are neglected and they do not pick up the phone, and 2), they need to be better in creating a much better seating environment and make sure the hookah is confined to the in rooms instead of the general seating areas which can cause some people not comfortable with the smoke, to prevent from dining in. Overall, great place and wonderful food would recommend.

Awesome food - great flavour and always fresh. Take out orders are packaged with care and you get the same portions as when you dine in, which is much appreciated as a lot of restaurants don't treat their take out customers very well. Love the fresh juices as well.

I have been a customer since they first opened. Always enjoy chatting with one of the owners. I love all menu items. I dont usually smoke, so I enjoy the fresh pressed juice and saj. How they season their fries is yummy too. The place is very trendy and they keep renovating to try and keep up with the crowds. The place is often busy and hot. Great late night place to go to. So sad they are not open til 4 am anymore.

Utterly disappointed I got pomegranate juice and I was told by the staff that it was 100% original but today I went there to pick my food up and I ask the guy if the juice was 100% real he told no it’s just a syrup. I have almost bought this juice 20 times thinking it’s the real deal. It’s a shame and it’s a scam I would never recommend you to go there.

Absolutely delicious!! Went there for the first time with my boyfriend for some lunch and was not disappointed. He had the lamb donair and I had the mix shawarma, and it was very filling and full of flavor! We did not go to the hookah side of the restaurant but the smell from the other room was very nice. Maybe on my next visit! Hoping to go there for some lunch again!
