Was okay I'm pretty sure that's not rye bread they keep feeding me there were no condiments on the table so I have to keep asking around. And very noisy they have speakers yet no music food otherwise was average. Usually go with the blue collar special breakfast

My wife and I went to this restaurant for breakfast. We had heard about it on the news and decided to experience it ourselves. We were seated quickly and by a very charming young lady. She quickly brought us coffee and water. She was very attentive to our needs. We placed our orders, breakfast of course, and waited patiently. Our orders were served up in a timely manner and looked amazing. We enjoyed the meal and everything tasted amazing. Bread was home baked there very tasty. We will be back and recommend this establishment to friends and family. Very deserving of a 5 star. Staff is excellent friendly and attentive to all ones needs.

How often do you order a poached medium egg and actually get a poached medium egg?! You do here! Everyone is really nice, the concept helps people with special needs to be employed, and is a fundraiser for L'arche. Oh and they make their own bread. Potato Dill with garlic butter is my fave.

TLDR: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great food made with quality ingredients, good prices, in a friendly, clean, cozy environment. Ordered the big breakfast and it was very tasty and arrived promptly. The turkey sausage and the Dill bread were amazing and above and beyond your standard Smitty's/Sal's type quality. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was cozy and welcoming. I'll definitely be making this my new regular breakfast spot. The prices were very good for the quality.

Food very homestyle and delicious. We often stop in at Smitty’s or other chain restaurants cause it’s our first thought. This doesn’t even compact. Supporting local small buisness keep these quant little restaurants going plus it’s way better service & food that’s not going to rob your wallet! 100% Recommended! We will be back!

Friendly and Local. The menu is very typical of cafes. The staff is polite. I love going there from time to time. Food always arrives without any delays, the Cafe have the original local vibe without any of the modern day artisanal boohoo and No there are no baristas with a man bun. It's just hardworking people. Payments are done at the counter terminal once you finish, so dont skimp on tips. There is a parking lot at the back.

Best breakfast food for cheap in Transcona/Regent area. I got the blue collar breakfast for only 4.50$ which is 2 eggs, hash browns, sausage/bacon/ham and toast. All their bread is homemade, their rye is delicious. They only employ 1 server and 2 cooks, the rest are volunteers. Closed all Sundays and holidays.

Best place to eat breakfast, very simple and delicious. Ordered and a fresh "Blue Collar Breakfast" arrived within 5 mins of ordering. I had two poached eggs with bacon and lightly seasoned cubed potatoes and homemade Rye bread with a coffee. Only came to $9! Plus the coffee cups are huge which is a definite bonus if you're a coffee lover like myself.

This Transcona restaurant is a real find and has all kinds of qualities that makes it win-win-win. To begin with, the food is wholesome, well prepared, including home baked breads, pastries, home made soup and so forth. There are burgers, quesadillas, platters and all day breakfast plates. The food is very good. The service is quick and friendly. The portions are generous, and the prices fair and reasonable. With Covid, the hours are 8-2pm, Tues to Sat only. Tables are well spaced and health procedures are followed to minimize risk. Best yet, this is a social enterprise begun in 2012 as part of L'Arche, which seeks to create communities where people with and without intellectual disabilities live, work, learn, and grow together. "Patronage is appreciated and demonstrates that you also believe in building a more compassionate society". It truly is a great find!

Only open Monday to Saturday 8am till 2pm. Parking is on the front Street and side streets. A big plus is they make their own bread for sale as well as use in the store!!

Second time eating here, food was great. All days breakfast is always a winner for me, but this time I had a great burger quesadilla - one of the specials. Staff is incredibly friendly and there is a real warm family atmosphere. Took a couple fresh baked scones for home as well. Definitely coming back here.
