I am sorry to have to say that my experience with a take out order was very poor. I ordered the Poulet a la Facon du Chef for $24.00. It was packaged in an aluminum covered tray (for take out) which was fine. When I got home and looked at the meal I had paid $24.00 for I was very unpleasantly surprised. The meal consisted of a small chicken breast with four small pieces of poorly prepared broccoli, a half of a baked potato , and a very small portion of cooked coleslaw. There wasn't enough food to call it a meal! I thought to myself, "$24.00 for this...you've got to be kidding!" They lost me as a customer...

Went here for the first time with a friend and ordered the Lomo 8oz steak. I usually don't order steak anymore because they just never seem to get it right! When my steak came out it was delicious and cooked almost perfectly!! I didn't care too much for the corn or potatoes but the steak was the best! Very yummy and the service was good!

My wife and I were there for a school staff Christmas party. We had booked for 30 people, and when we arrived, we were told that our reservation for 7pm had been changed to 730pm by the Inferno staff, without them consulting with us first. As such, 30 people were told to wait outside, in the cold for 30 minutes. When we finally came in, we were not seated together, but half were seated close together and the rest were scattered. Staff were rude, drink orders were incorrect (with staff adamant that it was right, when it clearly was not). Food was over priced and not great. Will NOT be booking any events here ever again. We were so disappointed with the rude service.

Was treated to lunch the other day by a friend specifically because I had not dined here. I had the Penne Inferno (if it's named after the restaurant it has to be good right?) and was not disappointed. The chili cream sauce was the perfect amount of spice to bring out the rest of the flavours. Very happy with the fact that they brought out complimentary bread of assorted kinds to tide us over till lunch arrived (it was not long). The amount of love and attention to the food and the customers gives away that this is a family owned and opporated business. What an absolute treasure of a place!

It was a very busy night and I felt that our server didn't check in on us as often as I would have hoped because I was not brought a knife and had to get up and find a waitress. It was funny my friend and I were complaining to each other that the coffee was not very good and another customer told their waitress that was the best cup they've ever had. To each their own. My meal and dessert was delicious. I've been there before and service has been great! Everyone has an off night.

Quaint house turned into a restaurant - outdoor patio - We did mention to our server to allow us time in between dishes and he delivered our dishes in a not pressured timely manner. Bread basket, fresh white bread and the cornmeal bread is excellent. Food presentation nicely plated ~ Requested med. rare and the filet mignon was abit overly done to husband's liking but still tender with favor. Had the lamb and enjoyed it. The wild rice was wonderful. Delicious Dessert is made in house and the lots of selection. Reservations Recommended.

Great place. Small venue but they are doing the best they can during this pandemic. The patio is definitely recommended during these times. It's gorgeous when the sun goes down and the patio lights turn on. Food is wonderful as well. Great options as well(seafood, meats and vegetables). Highly recommend.

The server was attentive but not overbearing in terms of constantly asking if we needed anything (i.e. my friends and I could have a conversation without constant interruption). The atmosphere was relaxing and intimate, but a little dark especially once the sun went down. Overall, I recommend Inferno's Bistro for a delicious and reasonably priced meal.

A great meal awaits you at infernos. The staff are friendly, the service is fast and the prices are fair. Do not expect oversize portions but rather incredibly flavourful dishes that you will savour. Garlic mushrooms are incredible. The inside dining space is small which is really the only downside but once the patio opens in the summer time the dining experience will be enhanced by the extra room.

My favourite place to eat in the city. Nights with live music are especially fun. It's cozy, and the food is every bit worth the price. I have literally never been disappointed by this restaurant; it's been exceptional in every capacity over and over again, over years of visits. If the weather is nice, the patio is lovely, and the service staff are always attentive, polite, and quick.

I ordered the French Onion Soup and Boulliabaisse as I felt I could use some comfort food. The french onion soup was incredible, perfectly balanced between sweet and rich, wonderful mouthfeel. I only wish the croutons were more crispy, however this was likely due to mine being a takeout order The boulliabaisse was good. I had ordered expecting the traditional fish/seafood-based soup, however "Infernos" offers a veggie boulliabaisse. Which was fine as it tasted good and was well seasoned, however I couldn't help but feel disappointed by the lack of fish. Honestly the star of the show was the crouton provided topped with gruyere and a sweet/spiced spread. Regardless of my personal disappointment, the food and staff quality at "Infernos" is top-notch and I would highly recommend supporting them during lockdown!

Up until my recent visit, this restaurant was on “My Top Ten List”. Service was slower than usual, the crab cakes were way over cooked to the point of resembling hockey pucks (I also think $14.00 for 2 crab cakes is a tad pricey, considering they were not much bigger than Oreo cookies in size!), and there was absolutely no atmosphere in the area which we were seated. Although the Server offered to have the Chef make me another order of crab cakes, I declined. I was simply insulted that they had even been plated for serving! I also had the Granny Apple Salad with blue cheese which was good, but a little on the skimpy side. On the plus side, the Mojito was delicious and so was the dessert!

We were celebrating my friends birthday here, the seats are quite tide and it took them so long to serve the main course, one of the steak was overcooked but they did offered us a new one. Mussels and fries was really good with reasonable price and I liked there cream of mushroom soup . The sides for the lobster and steak was a little boring and cool just sitting there not really completing the dish. The beef tar tar has good flavour but there was a few big chunk that was not chopped properly it was difficult to chew and the toast were brushed with a touch too much oil ,it made the dish so heavy and it took away the nice flavour of the raw beef. Otherwise the service was okay just the spot we were sitting wasnt the best , we constantly have big plates passing on top of our heads. Which was kinda annoying.

Went on a Thursday evening with my wife for our anniversary dinner. Enjoyed our meals on the patio, there was live music and a nice ambiance. The food was excellent, my wife enjoyed the seared tuna and I had the Bison steak from the specials. Well prepared and decent portions. Overall we enjoyed the experience, we found the music could have been a little bit quieter because at times it felt hard to have a conversation.

The chef shows his range by having traditional items available on its main menu while giving customers a slew, albeit too large of one, of specials to keep anyone entertained. I have a particularly strange and restrictive diet. When I go to a restaurant, I am a bit embarrassed to have to ask for so many accommodations and I am very nervous to eat what I get because it's quite common for the kitchen to make a mistake. One mistake and I can get very ill. Inferno's and our waitress were so careful with my food and didn't make me feel bad about asking for changes to my meal. The meal was excellent and we had a great time.

Sitting on that patio was just a perfect set up for the evening, the food was great starting from the appetizer to the main course, and the desserts too. Ordered the Duck Confit and enjoyed it very much. The grilled salmon salad was also quite a hit! Definitely going back for more!

Went there for a couple of desserts after a show! One had chocolate ganache with raspberries and the other was like eating a gooey Ferrro Rocher with mousse on top. Both fantastic desserts! Atmosphere was nice and cozy. Our server described all the available desserts to us and he described them all so well that we had to order two! Will deffinately come here again! Merci beaucoup!????

We got take out here tonight and it did not disappoint! We started with the mushroom brie and tomato goat cheese tarts. The mushroom brie lacked a bit of flavour but the tomato one was delicious. We got their lasagna and bison short rib special - amazing! Both full of flavour, fall off the bone meat. Yum! We can't wait to try other menu items.

the food was so amazing and the waiter was very impressive with his knowledge of the specials. They had almost as many specials as they had things listed on the menu. I got an incredible french onion soup that I will never be able to eat something as good as that again in my life. I also had the bison steak which was absolutely fantastic and finished the evening with a raspberry chocolate tart that was absolutely terrific. I would recommend this place to anybody. The food is always top notch. One guest had the lamb pasta which he always does. Large portion. Flavor perfect 2 of us had the veal with ginger sauce. Delicious. Good size portions parsnips and sweet potato. Perfect. The kitchen is small. Takes awhile for your food to come. We'll worth the wait. Always a good selection of specials. The menu has something for everybody. No disappointments here. Recommend to everybody who expects great food at reasonable prices. No room for dessert. Dessert selection is incredible. The creek brulee is apparently to die for.

My girl and I decided to try different restaurants in Winnipeg. Not disappointed by our meal tonight at Inferno's Bistro. While the pictures do not do the meal justice, I assure you it was all well cooked, well seasoned and served very promptly. Calamari was a special appetizer. Cooked to a perfect crispness, and not at all greasy , it went well with the Chipotle dip. The delicate garnish greens were so flavorful! The cucumber had been marinated, flavors of vinaigrette, cumin? and other yummy tastes, came through. My mussels and fries were hot and tastey. I took our server, Janelle's, suggestion, and had to mussels with Thai flavors. Soo good! My daughter had the Penne Inferno. 4 glasses of water and an empty plate later, she was impressed and full! I will be going here again, most definitely!

It was still very tasty, of course, but it was quite light and creamy, rather than the dark strong hit of maple that I was hoping for. Service was good, but it wasn't busy, so no surprise there.

We have ordered from Inferno's 3 times this year, and each time the food and pickup service has been top-notch. We had the roasted beef ribeye meal over Christmas Eve, and the tenderness and flavour of the meat was outstanding. The food is always ready usually within 20 minutes of ordering for pickup. The portion sizes were also very generous and filling. We have also had the coconut mussels several times and they have yet to disappoint on flavour and quality. We can't wait to try their dine-in and patio dining options next year, but until then we will continue to order from here during the pandemic - it has become a favourite spot for us to order from in Winnipeg!

The patio really made it shine though, as it's shaded, meaning you can enjoy the sunshine without being burned. If you're lucky and there's a breeze, it's even better. They also have a live band which was great, however it can get a bit noisy and make conversation difficult.

The time we waited for the food was unacceptable. We were a large group, but we had a reservation and waited over an hour and a half after ordering for our food. When we spoke to the manager, Juan, he told us that it regularly takes over 2 hours for large groups to get their food, which is ridiculous. All we got for compensation was a coupon for free lobster potstickers, no discount of any sort, and he spoke to us in a frustrated tone as though we were in the wrong for expecting timely service. Will not be dining here again.

Normally a great restaurant but a little disappointing on this last visit. 40+ minutes for our starters and 70+ minutes for our mains. Some menu items a little misleading as well: the tuna with unagi is just tuna with the sauce often put on unagi, the chorizo sauce on the pickerel just a vaguely reddish oil. The tuna tasted watery and had a mushy texture.

My girlfriend had made reservations 4 weeks prior to my birthday weekend and had requested to be seated next to the stage for the jazz artist that was performing that night. On arrival we were were shown to seats on the opposite side of the restaurant not even within sight of the stage. Wr were then told that she did not specify that we wanted our reservation not to be moved??? Not exactly sure what that means. We were told that they could not provide us with a table in the stage area bc they were sold out. This is absolutely terrible customer service and we will not be supporting the establishment in the future.

I have been a patron of this bistro for a number of years. First few experiences were memorable. But I had been disappointed on the last couple visits as the menu and execution seemed uninspired. Last week was our anniversary so I gave Infernos one more go. And YAY! It was back to the perfection I was missing! The rack of lamb with harissa potatoes was perfectly seared and seasoned. My only complaint was the appetizers tasted like pre prepared and frozen.

We were out with friends and we did not enjoy your visit. The waitress was rude and asked us to stop asking questions about the specials until she was completely finished saying all of them. Which there like 6 specials! Way to many! Print them out and let people can read them. By the the time she was finished saying all of them you couldn't remember most of them. We were treated like children that were told to stop talking while the teacher was! And she also forgot one the drinks for the table. The chicken that two of us ordered was sweet and you couldn't even taste the cheese. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

There were 8 dinner specials ranging from filet mignon, duck, pickerel, rack of ribs, lamb, and I ate the sirloin strip which was fantastic. So much choice! My dinner companion told me that is the place to go to for moulet et frites. Tasty appetizers (we tried the escargots and the chicken & beef satay). The desserts looked amazing and were very rich although the chocolate fantasy was a tad dry. We had a great evening and I will be returning with guests!

I'm a returning patron at infernos bistro and I've come back for a good reason. Years ago and now today infernos is one of the few true high dinning experiences in Winnipeg. In a city flooding with Italian or pub food infernos bucks the trend with haute french cuisine. The seared albacore tuna was fantastic and all the seasonal veggies were cooked beautifuly. I took my girlfriend here for Valentine's and it was a wonderful experience. Front greeting staff were courteous and got us swiftly to our seats, and the wait staff was prompt in getting us some water, complimentary bread and our choice of wine. Didn't feel rushed or pushed to make a quick choice, they always seemed to come at the right moment. I will say if there is any complaint at all, the food (just the entres though) did take a while to come to us. I have a severe allergy to all nuts and informed them of this. My guess is that they took some extra precautions to ensure safety before serving us, so if you have allergies let them know and just expect to wait a bit for your delicious food. Expect to pay a little more then most places but this food and atmosphere is definitely worth it.

A while back a friend and I Ordered the "Burger", Crab Cakes, Beef Thai Salad, Madagascar moules frites, Penne Inferno x2, Veal Medallions and 2 pieces of cake. Everything was delicious, but not quite on par with what we remember it being. These are pretty exceptional circumstances, so I'm not going to allow 1 meal to reflect in my overall opinion, which is why I am choosing to give it a 5. I very much look forward to ordering again from Infernos.

Enjoyed it! Went for Valentine's dinner, great food, great drinks, a little crowded for my comfort, of course though its a small place to begin with but still had a great time and I would definitely come here again! Also can't wait to see what its like on the patio.

The four of us went for a meal out to Inferno's. The atmosphere suited conversation and catching up with our friends. The appetizers were delicious and so were the entrees. We enjoyed the oysters done to perfection and steaks to our individual tastes. The wine was well priced - a tempranillo. The service and pricing were amazing. Definitely a return visit is on the horizon.

We ended up at Inferno's for a late dinner. Long story short, as we hadn't eaten a thing all day we were starving - so over ordered. That being said everything was delicious! The food is anchored in French bistro cuisine with a selection of mussels, pate, confit etc. There's also a north african/middle eastern vibe to some of the spicing. The list of daily specials is extensive and could do with a separate menu as its difficult to remember given the number of selections. We started with 3 appetizers including scallops with crisp cauliflower tempura on a chunky hummus base - delicious with a minor criticism that the hummus overwhelms the delicate flavour of the scallops. Next was the pork spring rolls with ginger dipping sauce - delicious. Finally mussels Flamande or pernod and leeks - also delicious. For the mains we had two of the daily specials being rack of lamb and veal schnitzel. We also had the salmon with champagne cream sauce and crisp leeks. All entrees were very generous and other than my son with the hollow leg, we were unable to finish them. Also, we ordered too da*n much! Service was efficient, friendly and prompt. While we've been to Inferno's several times over the years we tend to forget about it. No more! We'll be back sooner rather than later! PS. Bread basket was awesome!

Very disappointed in last experience July 9 2020. My Ravioli was drenched in sauce and way over cooked. Tons of chunky uncut onions with no flavor. Worst Ravioli I have every had by far and that includes Chef Boyardee! Service was ok at best, server told us chef's were to busy to serve a shrimp sandwich deconstructed as my Mom can't bite around the big sandwich. We did bring up that it was her 91st birthday a few times it was never acknowledged. I guess with having the automatic 18% gratuity for 8 people or more, something like a happy birthday isn't worth saying ? My Mother just wanted deep fried shrimp and french fries. The shrimp were deep fried on the sandwich so not a big jump to a bowl of deep fried shrimp. I don't usually bother with this kind of thing but it kept popping in my head how terrible the Ravioli was. I usually just take my business else where and I will !!! Oh and very little options for non meat eaters as well.

A was only in town for lunch and I'm glad I decided to come here. They had numerous lunch specials, all with fresh and local ingredients. Much of the menu and it's components were made in house, and the pasty selection looked like something out of a magazine

Well, don't get me wrong. I am not a hater. As the matter of fact I have been dining at this location for years. But unfortunately, my last several experiences have been all bad. Last time I was here for lunch (5 month ago), my sandwich was sloppy and very salty. But I wanted to give my favorite restaurant another chance. So, last night we went there again and ordered a steak and salad etc. I specified that I want my steak to be well done. Sure enough the steak arrived, burnt outside and completely bloody inside. It was so bad that the waiter was shocked seeing the pool of blood in my plate. Not only the steak was not done properly, the meat was chewy and horrible. Waiter offered to take it back and grill it again but I said forget it. Anyways, besides that, the steak garnish was also bad. Nowhere near the usual quality. Our desert was not fresh and you could tell that the chocolate pie had been sitting there forever. My son's chicken tender was OK and the salad too. The only good part of the experience was that the waiter did not charge us for the steak. I must say in my opinion, the glorious days of Inferno's at this location seem to be over. Something happened to this location when they opened the new one. I might try the other location but I am don with this one for sure.

The food and service was awesome as always. Had one of the dinner specials, bison tenderloin on gnocchi. The bison was prepared perfectly and the gnocchi was actually the best I've ever had. Perfect date night with my wife, busy and lively but still able to hold our own conversations. Love it.
