Fete is always an absolute delight! My all time favourite item on the menu is the Strawberry Rhubarb ice cream! Goodness, you can't go wrong with it except you have allergies/strict aversions to any of its ingredients. All across Winnipeg, I think this is the richest ice cream in taste and flavour that I've ever tried! The picture I've included though is that of my first ever ice cream sandwich from Fete! It was delicious. Definitely check out Fete Ice Cream and Coffee. You will/may be glad you did.

I went in to just get a coffee and somehow ended up buying icecream. It was below freezing outside and I still bought icecream. All the flavours just looked so interesting and enticing. Breakfast of Champions btw. Brioche, maple syrup and bacon. So tasty. The coffee was very good too.

Fantastic Flavours. Really enjoyed the milk and cookies. I thought it would taste like vanilla and cookie dough but the 'vanilla' really tasted like milk that has had cookies dipped in it. I appreciated the real cookie chunks. Would recommend!

Ice cream was amazing! Get it in a bowl though. My sugar cone just broke as I was walking, and there were others who came back in to the store for the same reason. Pretty disappointing when the staff didn't seem to care either.

Fete is a super cute little ice cream shop on Assiniboine Avenue! The only negative about the location is the difficulty finding parking. Their menu had a variety of unique ice cream flavours including some gluten free and vegan ones. They also sold cafe drinks. I had a bite size (two scoops in a cup) of the honeycomb flavour which was vegan and had caramel sauce in it and such incredible taste! The interior had cute minimalist decor and a modern clean look which I liked. The staff were friendly. There was seating at tables inside and the walls had large windows with nice views outside. There was also a small park next to the shop to eat outside by the river. I will definitely come back and try more flavours!

Took a walk along Assiniboine and saw this place. High end ice cream place connected to newly built beautiful condo tower. Meant to be a take out place but has limited seating inside. Very expensive, ice cream is good but not worth the price.

Pro Tip: They will let you sample any flavors you want as well. Everytime I've come here I've always ordered the smoking cigar which was a limited time flavor. I heard its no longer available. It had an exceptionally complex flavor that tingled my taste buds. My friend hated it because he also felt it tasted like a smoking cigar and he dislikes smoke. Sounds like next time i go in I'll need to find myself a new flavor as I think its at the end of its run. Service has been very friendly every time I've come in. I recently found out they are tied to the abiding citizen drink which I thought was cool. I like that they have a wall for dogs. Unfortunately you cannot bring your dogs inside, but they have things so you can tie it outside. They have large windows you can look out at your dogs. Next time I go in I want to try the party platter. Its $9 with 4 kinds of flavors which seems like a good assortment. Fete is located on Assiniboine avenue, kind of behind the Fort Garry place. There is a dog park just nearby, and around the dog park is limited parking (metered). Not that many spots, but so far I haven't had too much issue with parking there.

I haven't had any luck both times I went there. The ice cream flavors are not that good - I personally think Chaeban or Doug and Betty has much better ice cream. Only reason this place is fun to visit is because of the location and the small dog park you can visit beside the shop. Also tried an iced coffee - not good. The esthetic of the shop and service is good but I would not go back there for the quality of the food. Not sure how it has such a high rating... ????

Try to support this local place in my building. Ice cream is sub par, it’s very icy and not creamy like other places in town Gave the people in front of me a free taster kids cone, then asked me to pay for one after I spent 20$ on ice cream. Didn’t care I was clearly annoyed. Done with this place

Great new coffee & ice cream shop, right next to the dog park on Assiniboine. I highly recommend the affogato with “salted caramel crack” ice cream, and their London Fog - made with the owner’s own locally produced bitters. SO GOOD!

Love this place. Lots of options for flavours of ice creams and you can tell they take care in the themes. My suggestion is a coffee with some ice cream on the side. Pancakes are a Sunday special they offered that Month. The shop is cute bright and vibrant, with a viewing of the dog park next door.

Their lattes are out of this world, we've never been disappointed in their ice cream so far (6+ flavours tried), and we especially love taking home a pint to enjoy later! But, the location is perfect to grab a treat and go for a walk to the riverbanks. Recommended ice cream flavours: maple whiskey & salted caramel crunch. (So far, I tried two aforementioned flavours, plus sour cherry and strawberry rhubarb crumble)

Really nice ambience in the shop and great location for an icecream and a walk in the area. A good variety of flavors to choose from with dietary options. The waffle cone has an interesting flavor as well, I'm wondering if almond extract is in the recipe? Flavors are unique but generally there are some crowd pleasers too. I had lemon meringue (yum) and London fog, which had an interesting coconut flavor as well, not like anything I've had before. Definitely worth a stop to check it out!

It's an odd location for an ice cream store but if you're in the area it's a great place to stop by and then go for a walk along the river! Been many times as my friend lives in the apartment building next door. Highly recommended!

This is the best ice cream I have ever had! All homemade right in the store! Home made waffle cones. Staff are very friendly. It is obviously a little more pricey, but servings are large and it is worth it!! There is a small dog park right beside it also so bring your furry friend.

Absolutely wonderful! Visited here today and I can honestly say this blows any other ice cream place out of the water. You're not just getting vanilla ice cream with mix ins, you're getting an actual flavored ice cream that tastes true to what it's supposed to be. We tried 4 flavours and all of them were exactly what they claimed to be and totally delicious. 10000% worth the trip and paying for parking!

Delicious, balanced ice cream bases with tasty, Manitoba inspired flavors! I tried the Bookie Monster, Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble, and Blueberry Cheesecake, and they were superb. We had a socially-distanced outdoor gathering and Fete provided excellent ice cream for all our guests, including gluten and dairy free options. They arrived early to set up and stayed until our event was done. They’re definitely highly recommended.

My wife and I just tried this place for the first time and we will definitely be back. She got a scoop of Manhattan and one of salty caramel crunch. I got one each of chocolate peanut butter pretzel, honeycomb and the campfire s'mores. We both loved our delicious frozen treats. The one that really surprised me was the honeycomb because despite its name it's actually vegan and probably the best tasting vegan anything I've ever had. The atmosphere is very friendly and inviting. It's nice and cool in there (a big plus considering it was 28 degrees outside when we went there). The staff are exceptional as well. As a bonus there is a great view of the dog park next door. Dogs and ice cream? What could be better??

Calling it ice cream seems like an understatement. More of a iced delicacy, some flavors can be dairy free,vegan friendly, gluten free or all of the above OR non of the above. Ive tried all sort and they all taste great. With unique flavors, super friendly staff and very unique location its hard to go wrong here. Parking can be a pain but its worth it. Grab an "ice cream" and walk on the pathway by the river or enjoy a sit in the well maintained park next door. I'd recommend a flavor but then i'd just be listing their menu. 10/10 will go back again...again.

Very nice downtown location at the bottom of a new condo building. It's a 5 min walk to The Forks on the river walk. Parking could be a challenge during the day. Very clean store with a unique dog picture wall. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. A smile does goes a long way. There's one thing I would change, the display menu. It's tinny and in the corner. I would give it a 5 ???? rating, if all the tables were available inside and outdoors on the patio. Can't wait for COVID TO BE OVER, so we can enjoy this great new coffee/desert place.

I tried the strawberry-rhuibarb crumble and there was no strawberry or rhuibarb. Just cream and crumble. The salted caramel one was really butter-y, so I didn't like it. To be honest, I left a little bit disappointed. However, the staff were really friendly and there was alcohol and distance and the buying experience was good. I personally expected more. Maybe I just had bad luck with the flavors I picked

The customer service was excellent! I haven't tried the ice cream but I bet its excellent. However, I would not recommend the London Fog. It was just foam with no earl grey tea flavour. They use a concentrate and not an actual Earl Grey tea which made it flavourless.

I would highly recommend trying Fête Ice Cream. I have had exceptional customer service from them. I had an ordering mix up (which was my fault) and they were so gracious about it and did everything they could to make sure that I got the ice cream that i was looking for (the dairy-free honeycomb which is a delicious flavour by the way)! I have also tried the blueberry cheesecake, salted caramel crack, and strawberry rhubarb crumble and each flavour was absolutely delicious. I am going to keep coming back and I'm really looking forward to trying the new flavours they invent.

I LOVE Fete! We got to visit them at one of their pop-ups at a summertime market before the store opened and I got not 1 but 2 of the peanut butter cookie/chocolate ice cream sandwiches - GLUTEN AND DAIRY FREE! No where else can a person like me actually get to enjoy these treats! We also love going into the store. My son loves to watch the dogs in the park right outside the window, and it's such a cheerful and happy place to be.

What I loved about their hard ice cream is that they tasted EXACTLY like the flavour they are described to be. Very creamy and rich. I hope they bring back their Cadbury Mini Egg ice cream flavour... I sadly missed out on that flavour!

I haven't tried the ice cream but have enjoyed the good espresso coffees over the last couple of months - always rich flavoured. Staff are friendly and create a warm atmosphere. It may be a little off the Forks path but worth the stroll over

I just SO wanted to love this place and I've just been underwhelmed and disappointed. It's cute and trendy and I love the colors inside and it's just a couple blocks from my bfs place and I was hoping it could be my new go to. First time I went, I eagerly gushed about a post I'd seen on Instagram and had to try the peanut butter marshmallow square ice cream. I love ice cream and I'm effusive. She just looked at me like I had four heads. The actual pb marshmallow ice cream was pretty underehelming too. Today they posted that they had oatmeal cookie/strawberry rhubarb sandwiches and I excitedly went to get one and was told they are only at farmers markets. Ice cream is good. Ice cream flavors are all delicious and have lots of gluten-free and dairy-free options. Their fresh waffle cones are really good. Minor complaint is the mix-ins tend to be lumped together a bit much for my liking - I'd prefer a bit more distribution. Removed one star as the drink I had (London Fog) was not very good. Haven't tried their other drinks.

Really good ice cream in a lovely space. Some standout flavours for me are the Blueberry Cheesecake and the Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble. Overall I do find their ice cream a bit lacking in quality compared to their competition. I feel that the creaminess and flavour potential is compromised to save on production costs.

This was our first stop in Winipeg. The shop is very inviting and the employees do a great job explaining their flavors. I had the strawberry rhubarb and blueberry cheesecake. The strawberry rhubarb was awesome with great flavor and texture. Their cones are also large and very fresh. I went for their bite size hoping for something small and it turned out to be very large for being the smallest size they offer. If we are in Winipeg in the future, we will not hesitate to stop by.

Friendly service, delicious ice cream and baked goods, and great coffee. Tucked away on Assiniboine beside the dog park and almost right on the river, it's a nice place to go for a walk after buying some ice cream. They do a great job with having a selection of dairy-free flavours as well. If you haven't been, I highly recommend trying Fête, both as a coffee shop and as an ice cream shop.

Delicious and inventive flavours; made on site with love and the fewest, healthiest ingredients; gluten-free and dairy-free options; loyalty cards for free icecream; and flights (I think they call them party platters) so you can share and sample multiple flavours! What's not to like?!? Edit (August 2021): My wife is dairy and gluten free, but loves Dairy Queen style icecream cakes. I reached out to the lovely people at Fête and, even though they don't usually do this, they were gracious enough to make a custom birthday cake for her. She was thrilled and it was delicious! Thanks to Teri-Lynn for her help in making this an extra special birthday for my wife!
