Ugh, the chocolate here is to die for! It's so good! I'm not sure of the name, but the cookie, jam and marshmallow, coated in dark chocolate is my absolute favourite! It is a bit pricey but you can taste the quality for sure. Definitely should pay a visit if you've driven past and intended to but never did!

This chocolate shop has been in my neighborhood of St Boniface for the last 3 plus years and I'm a happy for it! Plus being a really pretty shop throughout the seasons (you really have to check out the window displays!), the owner & staff are consistently warm & helpful & knowledgeable about their products! Their chocolates are AMAZING (try their Prairie Cow Pies) and I love their little cakes & gelatos! Their chocolate drink is addictive! If they could have longer hours each day that would be better.

The products that they create are works of art which should be displayed in a place of honour in your home, however that would be a waste as all her products taste so good. Definitely a once in a while treat. Their truffles are unique and delicious, although a bit pricey. 12 truffles set me back over $40 after tax. Make sure to go grab a Coffee from Postal down the street when you are in the area.

I've visited Chocolatier Constance Popp several times over the past few years. Everything I've tasted there has been delicious. The chocolate truffles & everything else Constance designs are like edible pieces of art. She takes great pride in the aesthetics of each chocolate in addition to the taste. I am amazed at some of the bigger pieces she has been commissioned to do, such as a mini replica of the Canadian Museum of Human Rights. The items are a bit pricy, but Constance sources out the cocoa beans & everything is of the highest quality & handmade vs mass-produced so it is worth it. The specialty chocolates make exquisite gifts for chocolate lovers. The staff is also always nice, friendly & helpful. In the summer, I love to get some of the homemade ice cream treats. I would definitely recommend this shop to all chocolate lovers!! This is a chocoholic's paradise, although a little dangerous, lol!

The ice cream is heavenly and the popsicles were also a refreshing treat. My family left the shop with a number of tasty treats. Be sure to try their Sucre a la Creme! It is awesome to know that they also ship across Canada.

Beautiful chocolates! You can pick up since really unique souvenirs or gifts for people out of town. Try the liquid chocolate. She's also won awards for her ice cream (instagram worthy with a delicate chocolate butterfly)... And I believe there's also lemonade now? I haven't tried that yet but I saw a sign for it. There are other items that are Manitoba that she sells in the store so it's a nice place to stop it you need gifts that reflect the region. They are currently offering chocolate afternoon tea. If you can get a group of 4 together is under $20 each.

If you're a visitor traveling through Winterpeg or a local searching for something different as a Christmas gift this year & absolutely know the people you're buying for and are Chocolate lovers then you simply cannot go wrong with this shop. Their signature milk chocolates are sweet Jesus good! lord have mercy, for your taste buds will be dining in heaven when these cocoa treat goodness enters your salivating mouth. The smell alone when you walk into the shop or when your eyes first gaze upon opening a box of your own will make your brain register right away "Bon appetit". Then the first bite.....oh yea, then the second bite, yes s'more please, then the 3rd bite and before you know it, your sibling or mom or dad will say what?! all gone now?! with only your finger tips that carry the melted chocolate evidence left over. This is a true gem to have in our province and I want to say Merci Beaucoup! for the owner to bring these treats to friendly Manitoba neighborhoods. Can't wait to be back so I can buy s'more of their products.

The owner cares about Manitoba and Winnipeg and it shows! My favourite is the Manitobar made with ingredients from Manitoba. I also really like the dark chocolate almond bark. I have gone to Constance Popp’s several times last summer and it’s time to rave about this shop. First of all, Constance herself is a Sweetheart! When you meet her remember to do an elbow bump (so she can keep her hands clean for the “good stuff”). The chocolate I’ve had from her shop has been divine! The dark chocolate with cherry bar is amazing! And her array of small individuals are full of flavor that you can’t just stop at one! The best chocolate in Winnipeg!!!! (Don't forget to try her spicy hot chocolate....ammmmmmmazing!!)

I just want to share what a wonderful experience I had with Constance Popp chocolatiers....I had mistaken the time when they were open till on Valentines day, totally my fault, missed out on getting the cake I ordered for my girls, next day they called and explained they tried to call but my voicemail was full, (again), asked if i still wanted the cake as it was still there, I said yes please and when I went to pick it up even though it was 100% my fault they gave me the cake along with two large bags of "chocolate bark" and kept apologizing for something that was not their fault! Absolutely excellent customer service that is missing in a lot of transactions these days.....I definitely love their products and commend them for their customer first attitude. you can be sure I will be a customer of theirs for some time! well done!

Not one to get online and write reviews, but this one is deserved. I had taken my aunts here, boasting the whole way there about how good the chocolate was (my mother had brought me some prior). We walked to the shop from the Forks on a particularly chilly day; because I'd insisted it would be worth it. Only for us to walk in and have the owner be absolutely short, rude, and just generally unpleasant. Maybe she was having a bad day, but that's not how you talk to customers, EVER. My aunts bought one thing from there (only because they didn't think they'd find it at the Forks) but they had planned to spend much more and take it with them. Her attitude ruined the whole experience and made me look like a fool for pumping it up so much. I'm also disappointed because the chocolate is really good, but I never want to go there again. Because why would I support someone that stuck up and rude?

Love this place. The shop window display is always set up to tempt you into the store, as are the actual displays of chocolates. The only thing missing is a vent fan to blow the smell of the chocolate out onto the street! If that existed, there would be a line up all the way down Provencher. LOL The staff know the product really well, are great at making suggestions, offering teaser samples, and are fully bilingual. Chocolates come in all shapes and sizes and flavours, from milk to dark to white. Organic "bean to bar" chocolate is heavenly! Constance also offers a selection of diabetic treats which are really loved in my family. The truffles are simply mouth wateringly delicious. If you live in Winnipeg you do not have an excuse for not visiting this place regularly. If you are a visitor or tourist, then you MUST add this chocolate heaven to your must see list of Winnipeg. Hello, last Friday (December 24 ) I made a trip into unique business in St. Boniface, that I have been wanting to shop in for quite some time. Having in mind a couple that went beyond expections of their own grocery store in St. Boniface, I knew only one shop that would be a total special gift for them. Can you guess what shop came to my mind first? Yes, the one and only Chocolatier Constance Popp. The cholocate is made on premise, not mass production line. That means a lot of TLC went into every hand made piece of chocolate that you see on display and behind the counter. The staff were friendly and knew what to suggest to me. Winnipeg, I am sure is VERY proud of this one of a kind business. Let's face it, every dreams of walking into a candy store and having everything is sight when they were a kid. Be a kid again at Constance's shop!

Small but spacious store. Wasn't busy at all on a Tuesday afternoon. Was greeted soon after we arrived. Decided to try their chocolate shake for $7. The staff were friendly. I had to wait a while before a staff member in the kitchen noticed I was waiting. There was only one employee on the floor and he was busy with a customer. She came and took my order. I got my shake within 10 minutes. It was very rich and well worth the money. Will definitely come back to try the fudge ice cream sandwich!

I'm also known as DJBeekeeni and played a couple shows at Constance Popp Chocolatier just before covid went down in Winnipeg. The shop was positively radiant, ultra clean and of course the amount of chocolate in there was staggering. Perfectly poised on Provencher Blvd, it is a must for locals and tourists as we emerge from our homes now. If something is not in stock, ask...they are very accommodating. Get yourself or a loved one some treats as its time and you deserve it as you've been hiding away for a month. ps: I highly recommend the Brooklyn Blackout Cake for a special occasion*

The chocolates are actually came out and said hello and talked a little bit about the different products. A little pricey but the few pieces I bought we're just delicious. I love macaroons and today my husband brought home the dark chocolate macaroons for me from here. Honestly, based on the taste, I wouldn’t come back here. It was extremely sweet, so much so that it completely killed the taste of the macaroons. It tasted like someone has dumped loads of sugar while making it. Constance Popp Chocolatier is a lovely, locally owned chocolatier shop located on Provencher Blvd in Saint-Boniface, Winnipeg, MB. Constance Popp is known all over North America. I believe she has produced special orders for the swag bags for all of the special guests at one of the big award shows in the US. ( Academy awards??) The variety of chocolate and the creativity of the creations makes this the place to go for the chocoholic on your list. Constance also offers coffee, hot chocolate and pastries, made on site.

WOW! This place is a beautiful hidden secret! The artistic flair of the chocolates is inspiring. I've never seen such intricate and beautiful creations before! One of the very few places in town where you can get bean to bar, artisan chocolates. Once you try real chocolate, you'll never be able to go back to a Hershey bar! Gorgeous and unique souvenirs and edible memories of your time in Winnipeg are available as well. Definitely worth the walk across Provencher Bridge, this place is a true gem. I strongly recommend the Caribou Wine truffles, if you visit around Festival du Voyageurs time!

The chocolates are good but the customer service is lacking. My mother & I stopped in to buy a few chocolates today, as she had been there before and really liked them. The assistant that first greeted us was pleasant & helpful; however, a woman who I assume is the owner based on previous reviews came in while we were browsing. When we were checking out, she came to the front without any acknowledgement, rang up our order, and gave us our total. My mom wanted to pay with debit, to which the woman rudely said she preferred cash but fine, she'd accept debit... which was odd considering the large sign next to the register said specifically they'd prefer payment in either cash OR debit.

Like a lot of the other reviewers here, I have never taken the time to leave a negative one. But not leaving one feels worse because it's like she's getting away with being so awful. This was the worst experience I've had with a business owner. All of those reviews are true. She is despicably rude, condescending, belittling, ill mannered... I don't know how she manages to have staff or customers at all! How do people get away with treating others like this!? It is not that hard to nice. She ruined my day with her degrading comments so I would absolutely NOT recommend this place. All I hope is that she reads her critical reviews and learns to control her behaviour instead of defend it.

Amazing handmade chocolates made with fresh high quality ingredients. This is what chocolate is suppose to taste like! Constance makes these chocolate covered marshmallow puffs that are to die for... Constance was amazing to work with, had excellent ideas and kept my budget in mind as we figured out what we wanted the order to look like. The simple, streamlined decor in this sweet, sweet shop is what one first notices: the white plays nicely against the cafe au lait colours. But, what I have been super impressed with is that Constance is never one to sit on her laurels: she is always exploring new creative concoctions with chocolate, new flavour profiles, and amazing sculptural designs out of chocolate like her fancy high heeled shoes or the Museum of Human Rights and so many other beautiful chocolate sculptures. Sometimes I’ve admired them, and had to be told that they were made from chocolate! Constance is a perfectionist, and incredibly demanding in terms of her products, and it shows in the passion she has for chocolate, the beauty of her products and, of course, the flavour. Her creativity with chocolate is wonderful: I don’t have a favourite truffle (yet) — there are SO many choices, and always new flavours to try. The Manitoba bar (in the shape of our province, natch) is a favourite bar of mine. I absolutely adore the very thick homemade hot chocolate drink, as well as the spicy hot chocolate drink! The ice creams are marvellous too. I LOVE the birch syrup milk chocolate. I very much appreciate how Constance supports a lot of our local and provincial enterprises, by experimenting & using ingredients like the birch syrup. Ordinarily, I don’t like white chocolate. When Constance heard me say this, she insisted I try the white chocolate lemon pistachio ice cream… and also explained to me that GOOD white chocolate is an entirely different creature than I have tasted previously. And man, was that white chocolate lemon pistachio ice cream amazing!

This store is the kind of place that reminds me of how much I love St. Boniface. It's a beautiful, quaint storefront. The staff are very serious about their products, and very helpful and attentive. The creativity, and craftsmanship of the chocolate is so impressive. The taste and variety of flavours is fantastic. “September 2020 Update” I have been in the shop a few times since the Covid-19 pandemic. There is still an amazing selection of delicious and delicate chocolate items. I love how this shop focuses on seasonal items. That being said, I do have to pick up my “go to” chocolate marshmallow cookies and extravagant miniatures every time I go. Such a fun chocolate shop for St. Boniface.

Attended the Christmas Chocolate Workshop 2 – Chocolate Ornaments & Bon Bons. An fun and engaging experience. The introductory talk with Constance was fun, informative, and personal. Punctuated with taste tests of chocolate nibs, to die for spicy hot chocolate, and birch caramel chocolate bon bon and the raspberry filled chocolate marshmallow puffs were a melt in the mouth dream. Also the artisanal chocolates were delicious, beautiful hand crafted and knowing they are ethically souced was nice to hear. The behind the scenes glimpse into the professional kitchen was interesting and the combination of demo/hands on decorating and filling of chocolates was a great experience. I would recommend this class!

First of all I want to say that I am not one to write reviews, however my experience with Constance Popp was so negative that I felt the need to share. I stopped into the shop on Saturday to buy macaroons for my niece with whom I was taking a walk. The owner of the shop was behind the counter and was rude from the second we walked in until the second we left. I have never in my life dealt with anyone so unprofessional, condescending, and rude, and for absolutely no reason. I will not go into details but all I can say is that I was beyond disappointed; I was actually shocked by this woman's attitude. I did not try any chocolate therefore cannot comment on that. The macaroons were nothing special and a little dense. Even so, I would have gone back to try something else as I like the location of the shop, however due to the extremely poor customer service I will never return. We stopped into Café Postal afterwards and had a much better experience, friendly staff and great coffee!

The owner is a wonderful woman and has always been able to meet our needs. I work at an Independent Living Facility and have purchased hundreds of chocolates for special occasions for the seniors in our building, they are always a hit. So here is a huge Thank-you for all the delicious chocolate from both our company & our 200+ residents. Your shop has spread a lot of cheer for our seniors, especially in times like this.
