I preordered a 12 piece chicken dinner. while I was at work so my kids had dinner.I used skip the dishes as a delivery system. What was delivered was a 1 piece fish dinner. When I called the restaurant not only was it not a manager I was speaking with ..even though I asked to speak to a manager this young lady said I had to call skip the dishes to reorder my food. It is now 730pm and dinner was ordered for 445pm When I said you already took payment I would just like the right food delivered. The food I paid for ...she was rude and said Skip will reorder it for you. No apology for the mix up. Super rude. I will never order from here again. I mean atleast apologize....jezz

After 14 years we decided to go to chicken chef today and well lets just say the chicken was not great. Service when we arrived was good but after that we had to look for the waitress and ask for napkins and order couple more chicken strips because those were good but chicken was very oily and tasted old. After today i will continue to go MArybrown for my chicken and fries . Not worth $60 for family of 5

Been a faithful customer many years, but things have gotten skimpy since the new management has come in. Any time a business cuts back to save money/raise profit it's going to affect the customers. Sorry, I tried coming one more time today, but it's the last time. What used to be a filling meal is no longer, I would have rather spent half the money on the same amount of food elsewhere. Left my tummy empty and a waste of money.

Really good chicken but the pizza not what it used to be, plus if you dine in the seniors sit there and give u dirty looks like it's their place or something so if your not a senior stay away from this place, the staff are unwelcoming as well

Picked up my order and by the time I got home the fries were hard and cold. Make sure you leave with them fresh or you will be disappointed. I also didn't know they charge an "Over Chicken" fee of $2.95 if you request dark meat. Ripe off and for a 9 piece meal with gravy at $38 I won't be going back not ever. 1st and last time at this place. Gross.

The food was not good and the service was not any better me and my boyfriend live in nova Scotia and are here on vacation and if we ever come back we will not be coming to this location again. My salad was soggy and my sandwich was literally meat and bread no moisture. And the waiter was rude she did not say your welcome after we would say thank you and when we asked if we could order dessert after aur meal at 10:45 PM she said u can if u do it now. And on the menu it did not say anything about not being able to order at a certain time they closed at 12 then I would understand maybe.

Awesome, just awesome. I'm not going to say how fast, id rather not set any unrealistic expectations for future customers but... My food was here faster than I could have hoped for. The fastest delivery I've ever experienced! The driver said it was because they were a little slow tonight. Chicken 10/10 perfect Fries 10/10 plentiful and hot Gravy 11/10 haha, really though. Rolls 10/10 fresh, soft. Coleslaw 10/10 tasty The portions were incredible! You want a bag full of fries? Order from here, because that's how you get a bag full of fries. Thanks Chicken Chef! Better tasting and wayyyy better portions compared with KFC

We order from this Marion any time we want good fried chicken. Often will we just stop in to grab some buns and gravy for a snack with dinner because they're delicious. We typically will get the pizza and chicken combo which we did the evening prior to me writing this review. We had got the large pizza and 9 PC chicken combo for just my girlfriend and myself. That's a lot of food for 2 people. Understandably we didn't finish everything. Not even 24 hrs later we are eating left overs and sadly we find what could be a piece of wrapper or paper towel. We were a bit grossed out and called to let them know. Usually it's been my experience that's when something is found in your food the place you ordered from will try to make up for it by offering a replacement or partial replacement. They wouldn't help at because it wasn't the same day we ordered. We had ordered close to closing time the night before so even if we did find something while we were eating it fresh, no one would have been there to take our call to complain then. It's sad because I don't know if the one on Marion is closed permanently but I will not be returning here.

Good food. Price is a bit high for portions. Decided to visit again months later and portions were even smaller. The price is comparable to any middle of the road fried food restaurant but the portions are half size or less. Fish burger was literally a single frozen fish stick on a bun. Went from slightly disappointed to very on the second visit.

Recently ordered by phone. Delivery time could use improvement only because they probably were short staffed but understandable wasn't mad or anything. Pizza was mediocre. Dough wasn't the way i remember it as a kid, sauce had a sweet taste to it. Even though the pizza wasn't the best I've had the saver was the chicken. Moist chicken, pieces were decent sizes. lots of fries, not home made but still good. Gravy was good not salty. Price was around $45 for a medium and 3 piece chicken dinner which also came with a dinner roll.

Unnessicarily confusing. Ordered Mac and cheese and they forgot it twice. When we finally got it, it was dry and half of it was gone. Was tempted to dine and dash. When asked to remove the macaroni from the bill, as we still hadn’t received it, the guy behind the desk demanded that we couldn’t do that, and gave us the box of Mac and cheese, which had been on the hot plate so long it burned our fingers. The onion rings are a 10/10 though.

This restaurant used to be the bomb. I don't know what happened but the last 2 times i ordered, the food was gross. Cheese toast was flavorless and the wonder bread was slapped on a dirty grill with no garlic. Just tasted like dirty grill. Second, same thing with my dry, flavorless chicken sandwich. The black soot on the bread was closest thing to flavour. 2 stars is for the poutine.

Got delivery. We live a few blocks away. Chicken arrived piping hot. We did have a coupon, including tax and delivery charge, two 3 piece chicken meals came to just under $25. Delivery, I was told, is about $3.50 with 1.25 going to the driver. The food is solidly good. I didn't prefer the batter, but it was in the realm of ok, just preference. I just ate it without the skin. I prefer this coleslaw over the neon green of kfc. The fries are ok. You get a very generous portion! They aren't super crispy, or at least they weren't when we got them. Could be the steam since it's trapped in a box. I can see why they include vinegar as that's the kind of fries that would go good with that.

What is wrong with the staff at this restaurant, we came in the door and immediately an employee started yelling from the kitchen, 'PUT ON A MASK". I Put on my mask and sat down ,the waitress came to the table, gave us menus, I then said we know what we want and she said I'll get your beverages and let the others decide what they want in a rude voice, needless to say we left the restaurant and won't be back, most unprofessional staff I've run into in a long time.

I placed an order here tonight for pizza delivery. After 30 minutes past the delivery time I decided to call and see how much longer my order would take. I was told that there was an issue with how my address was taken down, and instead of making it right, apologizing, or sending out a pizza to the correct address I was told they could not fulfill my order and hung up. We have been ordering from this place for years because of their great pizza but because of this poor service we will be taking our business elsewhere.

Told that there was nothing they can do, they apologized and commented we ordered through skip the dishes that there wasn't much they can do. Prices are pretty high for the simple food they serve, but comparable to KFC I guess. Usually a calm, or semi-busy space. Extremely limited selection of gluten-free and healthy options. McDonald's had them beat in these categories.

This was my first time going to Chicken Chef. First off, the service was really good. The pizza was fantastic and the fries and gravy was also superb. The downside? The chicken was just over the line in regards to being edible and the coleslaw was way too watery for my liking.

Ordered chefs combo pizza and cheese pizza for my wife's birthday, had to wait for pizza when I got there, only one was ready, ordered at 4pm before supper rush, live 2 mins away and pizza was Luke warm when got home, cheese on pizza was not even soft, bacon on top looked like was added after the fact as was not even crispy. We go there quite often but lately it has gone downhill. Today the chicken was so greasy it left a puddle on the plate and had no flavour. Hot chicken sandwich tasted like it was using up leftover chicken. Unfortunately this is another restaurant coming off the list for a while. Came back on Friday May 4th. Chicken was back to being hot, fresh and no grease on the plate. We both had fried chicken and fries so can't comment beyond that. Fries were also hot and tasty. We have come to the conclusion that when appropriate we should complain to the server or ask our question, so they have a chance to fix the problem and we can get a meal we enjoy.

I ordered 2 large pizzas, a chefs combo and a bacon. It took an hour to deliver even though im only 4 blocks away, but whatever i didnt want to go out. When the delivery driver got here he had a bucket of chicken as my order, when i explained what i had actually ordered he said he would call the restaraunt and get my proper order but ended up just driving away. I figured he went to get my order but after 20 minutes i phoned myself to ask where my order was and was told the driver had it and was on his way. After another 40 minutes i phoned back and was told i would have to order again and wait ANOTHER hour for it to be delivered so i just cancelled and ordered from pizza hotline. This was the worst and most unproffessional experience i have ever had ordering from anywhere, if i could give negative stars i would

Tried to place an order for pick up, the guy was very dopey sounding so I cancelled since I had doubts it was going to be accurate. Prior to this order about a month ago I placed an order for a 3 piece meal, got home to find no fries! Didn't realize I had to check for that. Drinks are served flat. Orders were wrong or just outright missing. Server was completely disinterested in the issues we brought to her. Half the table were offered refills after most of us finished our meals. The other half of the table were ignored. Worst experience in a long time. Not really as I had expected. Food was fairly bland. Was hoping for more KFC but home cooked. Not so much.

Good home cooked meals good portions at moderate prices...their chicken is there specialty...alwas good..The Chicken cheff also has at soup of the day...some are a little exotic sounding flavours but are usually better tasting than some sound...My favorite is their burger patty meal...harty good size meal... They also have some rich deserts to choose from....staff is always freindly and service usally fast and freindly...

Ordered a big meal for our Christmas Eve family gathering online, almost $200 worth of food. When the order was almost an hour late I phoned to inquire, no answer so I drove down there, all dark and nobody around. Lots of places close early, that's understandable, I have no issue with that. What I'm FURIOUS about is that they took my order AND my money AND gave me a delivery time, with NO indication that they were never going send it! Thankfully Mary Brown's was able to save the day!
