This Coffee Shop belongs to the category of Coffee shop.
Cozy place, good food and beverage, and staff is very friendly. I really liked the flavors on the Breakfast Macro but it would be nice to get a bit more of volume in there ???? Food: Breakfast Macro Drink: latte
Awesome coffee and I’m passionate about coffee... Awesome owner :) and lovely bright store space. ????????
Finally Prince George has a coffee place that cares about where the coffee is from, how the coffee is roasted, the mastery of a cup of coffee and they offer a fine cup of coffee. My husband and I are absolutely delighted to be able to go for a really good cup of coffee here in Prince George. Thanks to the new owners for the hard work and dedication it takes to open such a place. We will be regulars when we are in town.
I love this coffee shop! The environment is wonderful, and the coffee and food is perfect! A true PG jem :)
An awesome little spot for coffee! Definitely helping to brighten up downtown Prince George
Caring for our community!
(Translated) An absolutely wonderful coffee, espresso perfectly prepared with care, it is not the Tim's of your parents. (Original) Un café absolument formidable, espresso parfaitement préparé avec soin, c'est pas le Tim's de tes parents.
Solid Coffee and nice atmosphere. The food program was awesome inn the beginning but they keep flip flopping it around and each time it changes its for the worse. The funniest thing about this place are the hours… Opens late as far as coffee shops go and closes early for a coffee shop that opens so late… you’d literally have to take time of work to get a coffee here on a normal work day. Also have a nice outdoor are that would be great to sit at with dogs on the weekend when you could actually go there and Catch them open but sadly they don’t have any tables or benches out there. Almost not worth the effort…..
Delicious coffee and treats
Decent food, service and location. Lots of pokestops.
Great coffee. friendly staff.
Favourite coffee in PG. love my cappuccino
I love the look of the cafe. Vegan options are offered and I will go back for the food on occasion. The coffee though was one of the worst I've ever had. My coconut mocha had zero flavour. It tasted like bitter watered down coffee.
Delicious oat latte!
Lovely coffee and a minimalist clean vibe with local art adorning the walls. Only gripe is the cold brew is served from a can and doesn't taste all that good. Everything else is excellent!
While I don't drink coffee, my Girlfriend does and she claims Ritual makes the best beverages. I've sampled some of their pastries and they're simply delectable. The staff are always very genuine and friendly. Overall, an extremely welcoming atmosphere with reasonably priced drinks and baked goods.
Good coffee, nice staff, and quiet atmosphere. The wifi is reliable and speedy. There are also plugs to charge electronics. The ginger cookie is superb!
Constantly sending people away for sitting on the bench outside and customer only bathrooms is not a way to actually get customers I won't spend money there
I second Tara N.'s comment.
Great place
Giving a poor review due to descrimination. If you want to have a bad colonial day go here. Also not very good community spirit after the instagram incident. Won't be going back.
They have great espresso and delicious food. I was told not to go because it was in a bad area but I didn’t feel unsafe going. The area definitely felt normal to me. No reason to feel unsafe. I’m also not sure why the visitor center would try to discourage people from going since they are only a couple blocks away. It’s worth the stop.
I love their coffee (gotta have my flat) and frequent Ritual 2-3x a week. I have introduced many friends to this coffee haven. My only gripe is twice of late there has been a few of us and we want to sit and visit, however, the solo coffee drinker(s) taking up the big tables with their laptop, paperwork and staying for a very long time prevents us from lingering. Too bad, I have been known to buy multiple coffees in one sitting ????
Probably the best coffee spoy in PG, great coffee super friendly staff
Cortado was excellent ????☕
Decent coffee
Great coffee spot to meet a friend or for business.
Nice to have a boutique coffee shop in the downtown core. Very friendly staff. It was a nice experience to order a breakfast sandwich and have it made fresh instead of thrown in a microwave. You can tell that quality is THE priority at Ritual!
I go to places for two reasons. If what they offer is good and if they are good people. The coffee is good and so are the employees.
Very good coffee, cute/modern vibe. Really enjoyed! Will be back for sure.
Not the kind of coffee experience I'm looking for. They use Elysian coffee beans which I generally like. But both the cashier and the barista's attitude made me felt I wasn't welcomed. Not only there's no smile whatsoever, there's almost no eye contact and the transaction was cold as ice. I don't feel the passion or the love of coffee here, nor the vibe of specialty coffee community. The coffees proportion was also a bit off. A cortado is 8 oz and a cappuccino is 10 oz. I ordered a cortado and the coffee is bitter, felt over extracted. They don't weight the coffee so the brewing would be all over the place. This place feel more like a Tim Hortons than anything else.
Quite place. Quick service. Nice people.
It's hip, the coffee is AMAZING, and the staff are on it. HEAVILY RECOMMEND
Yummy delicious coffee, no wait, and helpful friendly staff
Wonderful people that work there and a great location.
Great selection of coffee and snacks.
Staff are super friendly, baked goods are delicious and addicting! I always enjoy coming in and seeing what's on the "fun" menu. Also enjoy the efforts they go for carbon neutral
Rude staff. Rather concentrate on computer screen than engage with a customer. Interior too cold and not welcoming.
Lovely modern cafe. Large selection of food for vegans and vegetarians as well as multiple lactose free options for any hot beverage.
Serving Vancouver roast (Matchstick). Great espresso + iced Americano, friendly staff - cozy spot - recommended :-) Non dairy options, almond & soy - oat/nut beverage needed IMHO xD
Excellent quality coffee- makes such a difference! Close to my hotel in the downtown area. Keep up the good work.
Best Coffee for miles, nice Melbourne cafe type vibes
Nice friendly place with cute mugs and peaceful ambiance.
Great place to study with big tables and lots of room, but their coffee is a little over priced
Great coffee. I was unsure how I would find good coffee in a small northern town but these guys know their stuff.
They make the best cappuccino in town. The internet could be faster but theirs plenty of seats and tables to hunker down on. If I could make one suggestion I'd say put some padding on the benches. other than that this place is pretty fantastic and a real gem of a coffee shop considering all the others in town. I think it do well in a big city as well.
A Prince George treasure. Outstanding service and great coffee!
Love the wireless area around town... Thanks for providing that
Awesome little cafe with the best coffee in town
I've always enjoyed going here. Their coffee is as good as any I've had, they always have vegan options, and the staff are always courteous and friendly. There are two reasons for the three stars instead of more. One is their hours, which are ridiculous. They close at 4 pm in a downtown where most businesses are open until 5 or 5:30. The second is that the last time we were there. we arrived 5 minutes before closing. We sat to drink our coffees with full intention of not dawdling, but the woman announced that it was closing time and she had to lock up! We were only half done. If you admit a patron into your business, you should allow them to finish. Businesses exist to serve customers, but this outfit obviously thinks their time is more valuable than their customers' satisfaction. She didn't even offer to give us lids for our drinks, until one of us went to dispose of hers, not wanting to take it in the car. We won't be going back anytime soon, hopefully that rude and inconsiderate person will have left there.
Sensational coffee! We are two overly invested coffee snobs from Melbourne, Australia. The flat white and latte are the *best* we’ve had in a couple of years. Thanks team!
Excellent service and delicious vegan options!
Great coffee, awesome vibe and outstanding staff. One of the beat coffee shops in PG!
Delicious coffee, but the refill cost is pretty silly. Most places I've been to, at 2.25 for a cup, offer either free or under a dollar for refill. Not here.. $2 refill. It's very loud in here. there's lots of hard surfaces and the sounds of the coffee equipment bounces and it's very harsh on the ears. Then when it gets busy, the sound of people is deafening, so the people talk louder.. it's a viscous cycle. If they hung wall art with batting behind it (like pretty fabric on frames with batting) would help dampen the sound substantially!
Great little coffee shop. They serve Matchstick coffee. Decent selection of savoury and sweet offerings. I really enjoyed the vegan breakfast sandwich (but I added an egg). Friendly staff.
Ritual Coffeeworks is the premium Prince George urban café experience served with exclusive in-house roasted coffee beans. There are numerous factors which make the café irresistable to long-term aficionados, inclusive of quality roasts and beans, such as that invoked in espresso drinkers by the name of the café itself. Breakfast sandwich menu and baked confections are available. An open, largely naturally lit, modern space located across from the genuinely applaudable archetecture of the Prince George Law Courts on 3rd Ave in what I hereby coin as Prince George's 'law district.' Likely the best space in the city for meeting over coffee. A patio on George Street is available weather permitting to enhance your Saturday summer Farmer's Market experience. The presence and diversity of the crowd is exciting. Long live the Ritual.
Pretty good coffee coming from a non coffee drinker really well made snacks and treats as well
Wonderful to have a coffee joint like this in PG. My recommendations to the owners are; if you are serving good coffee (which you are!) and you are trying to attract plant-eaters(which there are a lot of!), allow them to also enjoy your coffee by getting better dairy-free options like oat and cashew milk. Almond milk in coffee is a crime against coffee (let's be honest) and to us plant-eaters. Soy is one that many people try to avoid and or have a dietary intolerance to. I promise you, you will attract much more coffee-heads when you serve cashew and or oat milk as your options. Also, most times I visit, apart from the owner who is always friendly, the gals in there are about as smiley and friendly as they absolutely must be. Customer service can be improved drastically with a more friendly vibe in your space. A friendly hello when one walks in the door, goes a LONG way - as this is the customer's first impression. I will be back soon, and look forward to seeing positive changes :)
Great coffee and cool little spot right in the heart of town
Great place for vegans!
a good place to grab a london fog and check out the farmers market right beside it on saturdays!
You must try their famed vegan salad bowls/sandwiches! My favorite is their poke bowl-super filling and delicious. Conveniently located for a pick me up during a work day or as a place to meet friends.
Wonderful food and coffee. Staff was very polite.
Color me surprised: I never thought I'd see an established cafe with good coffee in Prince George. Great coffee, properly made. Seasonal spicy mocha was excellent (and I'm not much for fancy coffee drinks).
Best Coffee Shop
My favourite spot for coffee in PG by far! The coffee is phenomenal, baked goods are delicious, but the staff are what makes Ritual such an inviting place to be. They are kind, friendly and treat you like a person, not just a coffee order. I’ve spent many hours here studying and only come to love it more and more. Thank you Ritual!!
My partner and I loved this place so much that we stopped by twice even though our visit to Prince George was very brief. They have enough vegan options. We had the vegan BLAT (twice) D E L I C I O U S, the best vegan sandwich I had in a very long time, delightful homemade focaccia. We also had a coffee cake, also very good. Their Iced Mocha is also worth it. We loved everything. Haha
DELICIOUS! I was passing through P.G and luckily I found Ritual. The vegan BLAT was one of the tastiest sandwich’s I’ve ever eaten... so much so that my return trip back down south, I changed my route just to eat at Ritual again. The coffee is delicious and the pricing is fantastic. I’m grateful for the plant based options.
Loved it here. Exceptional coffee, great food, and friendly service. I also really enjoyed the minimalist atmosphere — clean, inviting, and inspiring. A must stop in PG.
Fave new coffee place! Pour overs are decent, and I love the beans they bring in for sale -- bowsxarrows, Matchstick, Stumptown. Check em out, you won't be disappointed!
Lovely coffee shop and eatery. Something of an oasis in a rather dreary section of downtown Prince George. Had an iced coconut mocha and avocado toast with poached eggs. Unfortunately the barista did not mix everything so at first it just tasted like espresso. After mixing it was much nicer, not too sweet and almost had a pudding like consistency at the end (a good thing). Avo toast was very nice. Bread was chewy and there was enough spice to make it less bland than it sometimes is. Could have used some citrus to brighten it up a bit. Micro greens were tasty. Nice atmosphere with people working and enjoying quiet conversations. Staff was very polite and efficient. The woman in the kitchen was particularly lovely (she gives you your food)
I am in love with this place. Very Vancouver/ hipster style in the very best way. Lots of vegan options with unbelievable taste. Along lots of milk options. Staff is amazing and the owner is lovely as well. So glad I found this place ????????
Great breakfast sandwiches
Good food and nice layout inside. I was overcharged though, and had to spend time disputing it before I got a refund.
Great atmosphere. Guest wifi didn't work though. But good coffee and friendly staff! Recommended!
Great coffee, friendly staff and awesome breakfast. The trifecta!
Excellent coffee with a kick; and don't even get me started on the plant-based food -- delicious! Ritual is my favourite spot in Prince George.
Great coffee and excellent food. Friendly staff too!
This is by far the best coffee in Prince George.
Had a latte, vegan blt, and and peanut butter cookie. Came to $27 with tip which felt expensive. Food hit the spot. The sandwich was $17 and said it included a salad and I asked for a fork for it and they said there is no salad even though it says it on the menu. Seems quite steep for just a sandwich. Seating was closed for COVID but looked like a cute spot.
Only place in PG with third wave coffee. So glad to finally have access to excellent coffee! The interior is modern and cozy, and the staff is great.
Best Americano in town
Great food, coffee and atmosphere
Definitely a 5 star for PG. super adorable and hip coffee shop with a menu of delish items for breakfast as well. There is free wifi and the staff is super friendly. Loved the ambiance there and the interior decor is funky and comfortable at the same time.
Thank goodness Ritual has come to Prince George. They serve exceptional coffee from a rotating selection of roasters from around BC and Alberta, and south of the border. They offer both batch-brewed coffee and individually-prepared pour-overs, as well as great espresso beverages including their unique “signature” take on horchata. Their food is delicious, nutritious, and reasonably priced. On their retail shelf, they also have a great rotating selection of ~1/2 - 1 lb. bags of specialty, freshly roasted whole bean coffee, including many single-origin options. The decor is a touch spartan, but the atmosphere is comfortable and bright. Overall, if your goal for an outing is to get an awesome cup of coffee or some excellent coffee to brew at home, Ritual Coffee Bar is the only place worth visiting in Prince George.
Lovely addition to Prince George's downtown scene
All you need with your coffee and a good vibe place
Friendly service, great coffee!
PG needed a high quality coffee house and this place is it!! Fantastic coffee and delicious food. Lots of awesome open space indoors. The two fellas working behind the counter were really nice and happy to talk about coffee and the shop.
Great location, delicious Tokyo fogs and bites to eat. Lots of options for non-coffee drinkers and excellent coffee to boot! Outside area when it's not raining.
Has a nice atmosphere and good food and service. The hot chocolate and "fancy" coffee is great. But the plane old coffee is bad tasting, I have had it on three different days/times and it just doesn't taste good, and I'm not a picky coffee drinker. It must be burnt or just the blend it something, it kinda sucks because otherwise a nice place in a good location. Update: I spoke with a few people about the coffee, and one of my friends loved the taste?? A few others agreed with me.
Good coffee, great service and friendly staff.
Had the falafel bowl it was very good.
Best breakfast sandwich I have ever had.
Just what prince george was missing. A proper coffee! Awesome selections and great food items too. Lovely staff
Decent Americano.
Ain't no black donkey... But it'll do. Raw sugar or Brown sugar would be a nice addition to the cream/sweetener/napkin filler upper station. Cheers.
Nice little place good coffee
Turmeric Latte is amazing!
Good coffee at an affordable price
love this place! delicious coffee and food, awesome people too :)
Good coffee. Good baked goods. Good sandwiches. Good atmosphere. This is what a coffee shop should be: Small menu, food made to order, excellent coffee roasted in-house, and a lightly decored, simplistic, inviting atmosphere.
I would give zero stars if I could. I enjoyed the coffee but the owner made my experience terrible. He just was pompous and irritating and stuck his nose up at me when all I wanted was a plain regular mug of joe
Great environment, delicious London fogs! Kind staff!
Tasty coffee and healthy breakfast choices!
Nice coffee place, clean and easy parking. I will visit again!
Great coffee and atmosphere
Great coffee, great wifi, great plants 11/10
Excellent service
Great coffee shop. Can't believe I've just discovered it.
Coffee was excellent. Acceptable service with smiling staff members.
Best coffee in town, by far. Nice staff, nice place to get a little bit of work done, delicious treats, small but tasty breakfast selection
By far my favourite spot in PG. The staff are lovely, the food is fantastic and veg friendly, and I love that I can bring my own mug! 10/10
Bring back the donkey...everything about this place falls short when compared to the donkey, the coffee, price, the setting & vibe. Ritual just can't compete
Best coffee ever!
Would be a 6 if it had better hours.
Cozy aesthetic environment where I’m able to relax, concentrate and enjoy a nice macchiato
Amazing coffee! Great serene atmosphere!
My new spot. Great coffee, good food. Great staff.
Most delicious coffee I've ever tasted. So yummy, and served with friendliness :) I stopped in to Ritual for the first time today for a pick-me-up, and I will be back often for sure!
Very good coffee but rather over priced for the product you recieve. Overall 6/10 might recommend
Delicious coffee.
Always enjoyed going to Ritual for a cafe n wee bite, have been going for several yrs. almost a weekend ritual lol. Today was an unfortunate experience. Forgot my mask asked if they could give me one. No we have run out. "But ohh u can order and take it with u'. Yup take our $ but can't accommodate. I suggest make sure you have masks on hand they are not expensive. I could have sat at table immediately n let my friend order as masks r not required once sitted. Mmmm well all the cafes n a couple hoodies, no more business from us! Off to 2nd cup...what pleasant staff that r willing n able n remember their valued customers!! And to respond to your msg below as you are trying to throw me under the bus instead of owning it.....the point being if you want customers support having masks on hand is a very small cost to you. 99% of the time I have had my own mask. All good......best of luck!!
Nice relaxing atomsphere, and a great place to meet out of the office.
Definitely a 5 stars for PG. Worth to try if you are in town.
Excellent little coffee bar downtown.
Best specialty coffee, great service and usually open on holidays.
I have been lucky enough to experience delicious coffee's from many parts of the world....Ritual coffee is in the top 3. I cannot remember the last time I had a better cappuccino. Will definitely be my go to when I am back in Prince George again!!
I love their coffee! Wonderfull and unique way make coffee with the addition of raw and brown sugar.
So glad we found this spot on our way through PG. The coffee was SO good and the breakfast sandwiches were also tasty.
Favourite place to stop for coffee in Prince George. Their breakfast sandwiches are awesome.
Their coffee and drinks are top notch
Must own Apple product to enter here.
The service is amazing and they offer vegan options. I love coming here!
Clean and Cozy! Really good service
Although the coffee is worth the money spent, the service leaves much to be desired. The staff are much more interested in their own conversations than the customer. Three people working behind the counter, one very pleasant young lady and two more that made me feel very uncomfortable. Sorry to have interrupted your day girls.
Ritual makes a great coffee. If you are tired of the chain coffee places and want a quality cup, try Ritual. The interior is bright and location is good with plenty of parking nearby.
Lovely atmosphere and enjoyed the staff. My latte was great and made well! My husband had a scone and said it was delicious! Best part, is it's local and not a franchise <3
I love the cozy atmosphere when I go in.
