Great little cafe. I was traveling through Waterloo and stopped here as I was getting peckish. Inside of a quaint little 2 screen cinema, this cafe offers health conscious travelers a relaxing respite. Great coffee, and great food. I opted for the broccoli and dill soup as well as a beet salad. I upgraded to turkey AND extra bacon for the extra $2.50 each. I chased my lovely low carb lunch with a cup of 12 oz coffee - escaping another bout of hunger for a total of $20 after tip.

Fun atmosphere, friendly staff. Try the California sandwich. I'm a fan of their entertaining mugs (and the coffee is decent too). Good for casual lunch catch-ups with friends. They do breakfast from Thursday - Sunday now too!

Cozy, outlets available, good study space. They have always been able to make the paninis vegan for me which is very nice. They also have a vegan cookie and occasionally vegan soup. They offer milk alternatives as well for drinks.

Delicious, homemade, made fresh sandwiches and literally a thousand different local beers to choose from! Great spot for lunch! Nice little patio but beware of the wasps right now! We had to sit in our car they were so bad! They also made a special sandwich for my daughter who is very picky! Highly recommend and would go back regularly if we lived here!!

VERY SLOW SERVICE, DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE TIME CONSTRAINTS awesome food, especially the bees cheese. Not a great lunch spot or for pickup as it somehow takes almost half an hour for them to make a couple sandwiches? I’ve had full course dinners arvvive to my table faster. Not sure how that’s even possible. Understaffed they need servers and chefs not just one person taking orders and making food and a barista. For those prices the service needs to step up. The place is always packed. Hire. More. Staff. The owners are clearly making a killing and expecting way too much from their overburdened workers.

It's a old restaurant that's been there for years. Gives you a nostalgic feeling. I bet they used to have little juke boxes at the tables years ago. Now the fries and gravy here are popular and the Chinese food is good. Odd person wanders in from the street providing entertainment for a few minutes but they usually go. Prices are reasonable.

The atmosphere is fantastic, seating in the cafe is very comfortable, and the people working behind the counter are very nice. However, their menu is extremely over priced. A bag of Ms. Vickie's chips is more than two dollars and their tea also costs more than two dollars even though it's nothing special. I wouldn't recommend this cafe if you're a broke university student

Called and asked what the soup was so I could place an order through door dash. Was told they aren’t affiliated with door dash and I cannot order food. Tried anyway and ordered my food. I called and mentioned that I ordered when I was told no and was told the order should not have been taken. What difference does it make if you pick your own order up or get it delivered??? Why would you tell a customer that the order should not have been taken? Very silly business practice this was first time ordering hopefully the food is better than the service.

I’ve been going to this cafe for years and years. The pasta salad is to die for and they make tons of delicious sandwiches! My go-to is the veggie panini but the chipwich is also amazing. Their drink selection’s outstanding, showcasing tons of local breweries you make never have heard of otherwise. The staff is also always friendly and chill. Highly recommend their dinner and a movie deal with the cinema (if it’s still available post-COVID?).

This place is adorable and their coffee is good. They also have a selection of about 40 beers that are not available at the LCBO. They have an outdoor patio on king street where you can drink your coffee and once it is open again indoor the cafe is a cute spot to sit.

Amazing place to enjoy a tasty cup of coffee in a nice location “uptown Waterloo”. Good place to invite a friend on a cup of coffee. They offer a good selection of coffees and bakeries at an affordable price. There are two seating areas one inside the coffee and the other is opposite to it, so in term of space is enough. The Cafe’ is a part of Princess Twin Cinema which is a nice place to watch classic movies at an affordable price ($9 for students). Anyways, this is a perfect place to explore the Canadain cultural aspect in Waterloo.

This is a cozy little cafe. I went for tea and dessert with a friend, and it was the perfect place to talk for a couple hours. The cafe is modern, but still retains a nostalgic retro vibe. The music playing was at a pleasant volume, and thankfully, wasn't too loud, which is a huge turnoff for me. Service was courteous, efficient, and got us our food and drink without a hitch! For those among us (especially after a day of working customer service) who want to dip into a little bit of the stronger drink, Princess Cafe has a nice little selection of wine and craft beer. Can't go wrong. Oh yeah, the tea was was tasty and piping hot, and the chocolate caramel cheesecake was delicious. Food good.

I really liked this place . Originally I had wanted to meet a friend at DVLB but when we got there it was packed and no place to sit. We walked down the road a bit to princess which was cute inside and sat at a table. The girl made a mocha for me even though it's not in the menu and I had an amazing turkey sandwich . Seriously probably one of the best ones I've had in a long time. It was quiet enough for me and my friend to catch up over a coffee/tea but still had the unique vibe I was hoping for.

Fantastic sandwiches and drinks. Everything I ever tried here never a disappointment. We especially love their iced tea features and big Marc sandwich are the best. Some negative comments are about prices, but I am happy to pay premium for something this level of quality and freshness. Everything seems so fresh and made from scratch. Really good. I had their curried tuna sandwich, and haven't been able to eat any other food since. It was too good, so exquisite, that regular food seems so bland and boring. Nothing compares to that sandwich, and nothing fills the hole in my life left by eating It. It has destroyed my relationships, finances and life, but at least for that brief period where I was eating that sandwich I knew true happiness. Would totally recommend it to you.

Honestly everything we hoped for and more! We tried to go to DVLB but they were closed as they sometimes randomly and unpredictably are, so we walked over to Princess Cafe which we’d never visited! We got a cappuccino, some beer, and a sandwich and everything was AMAZING. I had been craving a fresh sandwich and it was exactly what I’d been wanting, and no lie the cappuccino was the best I’ve had. the beer was also so so good, so many unique and delicious options! The guy working at the window was also really fun and friendly! 11/10 for me! We’ll definitely look forward to making visits here a part of our weekend on a regular basis now!

This is my favourite cafe in town. They have amazingly well made drinks, the staff are kind and fun. They handle allergies incredibly well, with both oat and almond non-dairy milks. Their specialty drinks are always the best, I just about always get the special drink for the day and I am always amazed by the deliciousness. I haven’t personally had their sandwiches, but everyone I know who has loves them, and their wide variety is wonderful.

One of my favourite lunch spots! The food is delicious, I typically order the turkey panini and side soup (which rotates) or the berry salad if, on the rare occasion, the soup of the day doesn't appeal to me. I have had or tried various of the other panini's and they all taste amazing. They also often carry Bellwoods' beers which happens to be my favourite brewery. Highly recommend going for lunch!

I like to come here because everything is affordable at below $10 even for breakfast. When I visited today I forgot that the portion is rather small for someone just finished an intense spin class. Delicious bread from Grain Harvest. Their menu is great. It has been my go to if I feel like eating out. Grilled cheese, paninis, breakfast sandwiches are all tasty. My mom took me here, and it was utterly depressing. My food lacked any sort of flavor, and my fries were cold. It took 20 minutes for new ones to arrive, and by that time we were ready to leave. (Not at all any of the staffs fault) but in the 40 minutes we were there, 2 homeless people came in (@ different times) and were causing a scene in the restaurant. This place is in dire need of a reno, along with most stores in downtown P.A.

I love the ambiance of this place! It's very cute and quiet. The place as a lot of seating and it was fairly clean inside. I enjoyed doing my work here and found their drinks really refreshing. The barista was very friendly and helpful when I was unsure of what to order. He gave me suggestions and told me about specific drinks when I asked.

I went to the Princess Cafe around 3pm on December 18th 2018 and 3 words I have to describe the place is family, busy and inviting, as it was the kind of place that provided a very family/home feeling. The pros of this place: - reasonable prices, as I paid $2.65 plus tax for a large coffee and $5.15 total for a coffee and cookie. - There is a good variety on the menu between drinks desserts and food. - Even though I did not order the food, I noticed how amazing the sandwiches looked and the amount of people ordering them. - Great place to get a good photo as there are two sides to the cafe and one is quite vintage looking and the other more modern so you can get two different types of photos there. The cons: - I went to the cafe with the purpose of getting work done and even though they had wifi, at around 3/4 capacity in the place I was getting no connection to the internet, I wasn't able to connect until around 4:30 when the place had died down a bit. - This may be a pro for others but as I went to the cafe with the purpose of a good environment to get some work done, most of the tables in the cafe you are not allowed to do work on them from 5-7pm and are purely for eating/spending time with others. Overall I highly recommend this place but if you are looking for good wifi, this place will not work for you during busy times.

Went to Princes Cafe yesterday with my wife I ordered curry chicken and she chicken fried rice. I spent many years in Hong Kong and never had a curry this way it was awful too salty and inedible. My wife's fried rice was so dry she couldn't eat it. When we mentioned it to the server she got very defensive. My advice is to find another Chinese restaurant in town.

Crowd is VERY trendy. If you're a college hipster into craft beer this is the place for you. If you're not, they're all very welcoming but you may feel out of place. That aside what they do here they do very well.
