I love the 50s. I've only ever eaten breakfast there. The food is good and the service is very good. The only criticism I have is that the hash browns with breakfast are inconsistent. Sometime seasoned. Sometimes not. Sometimes lots, sometimes few. Thanks 50s!

I ordered a pemeal sandwich and the pemeal was undercooked and the fries were so brown from the old grease in the fryers. The inside was nice looking Im sure back in the day but its now a worn out looking restaurant. I told the waitress of the bad meal, she gave it to us for free but I ended up getting sick anyways. I wouldnt go back. The only plus is the juke boxes.

A few weeks ago, some friends of mine and I decided to try this place out for the first time. We were ascared to play a song on the jukebox located on our table (for fear of pissing off the other patrons) but the nice waitress assured us it was A -O.K. We all got offered coffee as soon as we were seated. We all ordered breakfast and received our food very quickly. We all thouroughly enjoyed the entire breakfast. Everything was delicious. One thing we liked was to ask for our home fries browned a bit longer - they are sooo good that way. The staff is friendly;the service top notch; and the food, delicious. This is the only place we want to go for brekkie now :)

Went there for the first time and the food was so good! Sweetest lady too! She was closing up but still took the time to make my food and even gave me extra because she made too much. I'll definitely be back. If you're looking for local, amazing food that has amazing prices, go here!!!!!!

The decor is really drabe. The floor tiles are really old and cracked. The tables and booths are worn and tired. The food quality and quantity is subpar. My kids got the pancake breakfast and they were still hungry after they finished their meal. They ended up eating my breakfast. I wouldn't go back.

The food was average. For the price of it I'm not really surprised of the amount of potatoes/home fries they give. The potatoes look like it was boiled and chopped up and served. There wasn't even an attempt to brown it.

Good old fifties vibe... We visited this place for a quick breakfast after it showed up on my Google recommendations and boy was I glad! The whole setup was something I had only seen in movies when I was a kid in India. The jukeboxes, memorabilia from the era and the trinkets around this place give it good feel. The food was delicious and had that made at home with love feeling to it. Will definitely be visiting to try other items on their menu.

Traveling through Peterborough we saw this place and had to stop. Wonderful little place with lots of character and history .The waitress was fantastic, such a sweet woman. The food was fantastic, the daily special was incredibly cheap with large portions. Took no time for our food to come out, and refills were almost instant. Lovely little busy restaurant. I wish I lived in the area, I'd come here every week. Bonus is it's cash with no Tax! Thank you for the wonderful experience .
