Hands down my go-to coffee/work spot in the downtown. Very friendly staff, super quality drinks, great art, relaxed atmosphere, and of course the benefit of buying your beans there is great too! I only wish they could keep longer hours!

Lackluster. Amaricano was great a d quickly made. A friend got the chai tea... Which they warn you is made in house and not sweet, however it was just weak and bland. It was a latte that hinted at the idea of chia... But was gross. They serve great espresso and coffee drinks, but I cannot vouch for the chia.

I tried their tasty intensunami curry chicken. The flavours of the lotus root mixed with thai jasmine rice ( which had coconut shavings) worked really well for this dish. I was really impressed how the meal balanced its spiciness and sweetness without cutting corners on the taste. My taste buds were very happy.

If vegan, vegetarian and local are your kind of a coffee shop, this is your place to be. The vegan spicy chickpea wrap and the gluten free tandoori wraps were on the money. The options are phenomenal. The sitting space is also very comfortable and cozy. Great for productivity and studying. I really appreciated the slightly dim room because that's easier on the eyes and doesn't make you feel strained after very little focused work. The upbeat staff was the cherry on top which made the whole experience worthwhile and easy.

What a little gem! The gentlemen working that day was wildly upbeat and such a pleasure to deal with. I decided to walk across the street while I was waiting for my other food to grab a coffee and I definitely wasn't disappointed. I ended up with an Americano with oat milk and it was divine. Recommend this place above the other cafes in the downtown district, outside of Black Honey which it's on par with. Plenty of seating, natural light, enough outlets, reasonably priced, friendly staff that are also never overbearing. Definitely recommend for studying/computer work, or meeting with friends.

They recently have started bar night on wednesdays & Thursdays with a signature cocktail list that a must try, flipping the atmosphere of the coffee shop to a cocktail bar gives the perfect mood to your night out.

A very warm, homey, and welcoming atmosphere! Tucked in the heart of downtown on Hunter street it has friendly staff, a plethora of drinks to choose from (hot, cold, and alcoholic), and lots of little snacks and foods to choose from. The staff were extremely kind and enthusiastic, even offering to look up a specific drink that wasn't on the menu so it could be made to someone's liking. There's art everywhere, accompanied by comfy seating, and relaxed lighting. About what you would expect price wise for a local cafe, and well worth every cent!

I am not the type of person to leave review but this place definitely deserves one. Me and my fiancé went here for dinner and we were blown away by the experience before we even got our food. Gin guided us to our table and proceeded to make us feel welcomed and take our drinks orders. He then had the chef, Warna, come in and explain each item on the menu with the utmost passion a chef could have. Warna, is an amazing individual with a palet of many countries. The food was delivered to us with care and everything tasted amazing! So much flavour for the price you pay is beyond amazing to me. Warna and Gin run a great evening dinner with wonderful a atmosphere, environment and food. Mike and I are looking forward to coming soon again for the whole experience.

EDIT: After my disappointing experience the first time i came here, i decided to give it another chance and i must say, i am impressed. the staff was incredibly helpful, the beverages were very good, but my only complaint is the lemon poppyseed muffin was pretty dry and flavourless. i am changing my rating fro 2 stars up to 4 stars ORIGIONAL: I am very disappointed. I heard great things about this coffee shop and I was looking forward to trying it, so I went there to study and try the chai latte I've heard so much about. when i got my order, the latte tasted kind of weak, but i just couldn't figure out why. unfortunately it took me until about half way through my drink to realize that it was literally just steamed milk with no chai tea, or even chai tea flavouring. i really regret not causing a scene about this. The atmosphere and decorating, as well as the friendly staff are the only reasons why i can't give this place one star. I am planning on trying this caffe again and i hope for better results. I can appreciate the warm cozy brick wall interior it reminded me of living in Montreal where they know how to do intimate and cozy. Peterborough does a pretty good job of this too, unlike the cold post industrial interiors that one can find in Bridgehead or the other chains. Another thing is that the coffee is pretty good here too. I'm at the age where cozy and intimate is something I look for and they do it well here.

Decent enough coffee shop, but a really great place to buy whole bean coffee for home. The Inukshuk is outstanding; complex with a great flavour. The Midnight Express is a strong full flavoured blend. Ain't cheap (about $18/lb) but both excellent to have in your at home coffee rotation.
