Wouda's is the classic bakery in town with a fully-stocked array of appetizing baked goods that include Canadian staples like squares and danishes along with a few Dutch and German items that are a little less common -- did someone say poppy seed squares? ;D I love seeing these bakeries that are almost full to bursting, they have so much selection, and selection that really looks good; it's nice and comforting to see they get the customer turnaround to keep going with all these choices and affordable prices.... -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"

Ordered a cake for my wife's birthday. Paid for it, and was told to come back the next day after one o'clock to pick up the cake. We arrived at 1,45 and was told that she could not find the cake. Another staff member told us that it was not done.. I asked to speak to the manager who I had already being dealing with, she was very nice but in the end she suggested that we take some tarts and use that as a cake. . We have been getting cakes here for a lot of years, and it a long drive. They could of at least phoned me and saved me the trip.. Don't order your cake here if you really need it. My wife was let down

Great little spot in Penticton for a bite and a coffee. Great baked goods ranging from loaves of bread to scones, to decadent cheesecakes and danishes. The staff are very sweet, the coffee is good and the bathrooms are clean! What more could you ask for?

Worst bread I’ve purchased in a long time. After buying a baguette for 2.50. I went across the street to the save on foods and got one about 10x better for 2.00. An abomination of a bakery

Nice staff and good food. My only complaint is they seem to constantly be out of their soups and salads around 1pm.. 1st world problem, I know.. But when you are on a short lunch it's tough to hop in the car and go somewhere else.

Stale cookies. Ugh. Broke my fast with a six-pack of chocolate chip cookies. 5 of the 6 were stale. Like, break your teeth stale. The final one on the bottom was fresh. Curt service. Expensive.

Wanted to try this place out for coffee and a croissant. The latte was bland and tasted like warm milk more than it did coffee and the croissant was a dense as a kaiser bun. The place smelled of fresh bread which was nice. I will not be coming back.

Ordered a chocolate cake with mocha buttercream frosting for a friend's birthday; cake was fudgy and moist, frosting complimented it perfectly! I made a custom order and it was ready within 48 hours. Staff was super friendly and store was very clean. Looks like they have a wide selection of other pastries, bread, drinks and sandwiches. Definitely the place to go in Penticton for baked goods, will be back very soon!

This is one of two bakeries in Penticton this one provide all kind of Breads and sweets. I find the staff very helpful extremely knowledgeable and very quick at lunch time. There is a extreme volume of people who go through their. it also has a small Deli in it. So lunch specials are available there.

The bakery is located in a market-like setting. There was a deli/meat market which looked very popular. The over-sized chocolate chip pecan cookies and "goats paw" were yummy. Dropped in quick to get a cheesecake for my mom's birthday and got 4 kinds. Everyone was very happy with their flavor. Use to be my favourite place, use to be 5 stars hands down and would stop here everytime I came through the okanagan once I moved away. Sad to say the last 3 times I came through it has not been the same and huge disappointment. Desserts are no longer fresh, a lot of binders must be added and quality and quantity of ingredients are much lower and prices are much higher. A sad sad loss.

Wouda’s has been my bakery of choice for many years. Their bread is very good at a fair price. The choice runs from regular sliced (sandwich) bread, to a number of specialty breads, all delicious! The staff is helpful and friendly!

Ok, so I love the products from this bakery and always buy my bread here. I hate to lodge a complaint but here it is anyways. I am hoping management comes up with a solution for the customers who just come in to buy baked goods. Today I waited over 15 minutes in a lineup that consisted of 4 people in front of me. They were all getting food from the cafe, so the cashier that serves them goes off and prepares their food, and only when the order is finally put together do they come back to the till to help the next customer. 15 minutes is a long time to wait just to purchase 2 loaves of bread. Perhaps having 1 or 2 clerks preparing the meals and not running the tills would help speed up the line. Hopefully this is resolved.

Fantastic service!!! I called from Ontario to order a surprise birthday cake ( no notice). I spoke to a great guy by the name of Hardy and he took care of all of my concerns. I ordered a ganache chocolate cake and they even delivered it, the same day!! Outstanding!!!

Ordered the egg sandwich, the worst! I usally order egg salad sandwich thinking know one can mess with a classic. So wrong..... cut up egg, tomatoes, lettuce. so soggy it mushed the eggs and soaked the bread. Gross! Stick to the breads and pastries. They look amazing.

They went above and beyond from arranging for candles to personally delivering the cake to surprise my Grandfather for his birthday as we couldn't be in Penticton due to COVID. Not to mention the best Tiramisu I've ever had. Thank you SO much Wouda's!
