This walmart as his high and lots of lows. Had twice a issue with discrimination and all that because a employee told there was a guarantee on the product when in fact there wasn't , so bought it for nothing. Another fact food wise, found three times rotten meat underneath counters. But has good quality fruits and cheap clothes for underneath budget or low incom. The bathroom are not very clean unfortunately.

Not a constant selection. Items removed and replaced with Great Value, (Walmart brand). Perhaps people prefer what they usually purchase, NOT, the Walmart brand. I like Quick chocolate mix. The Great Value brand of chocolate syrup sucks so I don't mind paying a little more for a better product. These replacements are happening quite a lot now.

Being a visitor to Portage, I couldn't really find many stores to easily stock up on necessities. This walmart location had everything I needed and I was able to get everything from a bag of BC cherries, to a belt as I had forgotten mine.

I love this Walmart and especially the girls at the Fruits & Veggies and I give them a 5 stars. I will not purchase any electronics there though, I get frustrated with the lack of knowledge of the staff overlooking that section. I will not go to McDonald there. 20 minutes for just a french fries? Always the long line up at Lunch and they are never prepared. I have seen so many people leave because of that. Overall a good store with great price. Cheers!!!

I give this Walmart three stars solely because of the lack of entrances and exits into the parking lot. One entrance/exit being shared by two big box stores, Tim Hortons, Boston pizza and several other retailers is nowhere near enough. There is always a line of cars waiting to come and go from this parking lot. After a local man was hit by a car last year they announced that a second entrance was coming sometime in 2018.

Always great to find a WalMart nearby when camping. This is a large store that has everything you'd need when camping. They staff is friendly and the store is tidy and organised. We stop in a few times when camping and is a great help as we do not have to carry all of the fresh produce from home.

Worst Walmart I’ve ever visited. And they called themselves a supercenter... We tried at 7pm, 4 cashier open only... people everywhere with big carts... seriously ???Guys ??? I don’t want to wait 30 min for 3 items. So ok it’s a rush ? Ok let’s try at 9pm... but same things... with 3 cashier only now. At 7pm or 9pm not even one express cashier open... And don’t blame your employees ! They are nice and competent. This is just your organization that’s suck a lot !

Only two cashiers on duty but two more working on self checkout. You could see that most people with just a few items looked fore the CLOSED express line first than lingered in a line for one of the two cashiers but some customers with heavy loaded shopping carts and really slowly working cashiers (maybe on purpose) let them switch to self checkout. I rarely shop at Wal-Mart... now it will be even less. It was around 5pm.

I noticed one of your fire exits is blocked??? As well as an employee and I got to talking and you have no security and won’t hire anyone even though the job is posted? “Loss prevention” and security are not the same thing. Feel bad for the people running checkout as there are so few of them and the lines are a lot longer now that the self-serve has been put in. Noticing a hire turn-over rate in your employees as well? Maybe it’s because Managment is so cheap and doesn’t value their staff?

My experience at this Walmart was not good. Nothing to do with the store or its merchandise or the people within however, It is the 1st Walmart I've ever seen that denies people with trucks or trailers campers the opportunity to stay the night and shop in their store. Signs posted,, Prohibiting and a wide open empty lot... So much for Walmarts Open offer for anybody to enjoy the night During your travels in a secured parking lot... Well thank you to the rest of the walmarts I'm not too sure it's stable this one kind of a sad offer......

It's an okay Wal Mart. They offer the basic of fresh produce. No fresh bakery. It is all brought in from companies. There is no deli, but they have packaged deli meat. The meat is okay, but I'd go to, other stores first. The canned good do not have the selection like other larger Wal Marts. Clothing selection is limited as well. I do shop here for some items I see in the flyer when on sale, but it's not my one stop shop.

Hate it. They no longer EVER have any cashes open. This is ridiculous and unnecessary. Where is the hot chicken like at other super Walmart's and what happened to the hand sanitizer? They don't have any available for guests so doubtful that they clean the baskets. They definetly do not clean the self serve check outs between clients. This is the literal worst. COVID is not over, no wonder the numbers keep climbing

I enjoy shopping here, but there are few problems I’d like to share. First off as always there is never enough disability parking spaces. Second is there is only one set of lights to get into here and man on the holidays you could spend 45 mind just trying to go from your parking space to the highway.

I'm not a huge fan of Walmart as much as I was when I was a child. They lack plus size clothing in cute styles, and some of the staff are rude and gossip a lot; customer service lines are always long and take an extra 30 mins to leave. Don't get me wrong some staff are very kind and helpful but most of the time they are not so I gave since chose to shop elsewhere.

For people who go there to shop I am sure there is no reason to care about anything other than finding what your looking for. However I have to point out how rude I see management treat some of their employees. High turnover rate and a wonderful greeter who has worked there for many years being chewed out because she needs a chair. I have found customer service has been slowly getting bad, but today was the worst!! I had an employee who has been working there for years tell me that they didn't know how to do the scanning code of practice and that I would have to go to customer service. I was using the self scan, which was the only registers with no line up and the customer service had at least 12 people in line. I asked this employee to call someone else to help, she looked..did not call, and stated no one else was there. She voided my transaction and told me to go to a cashier with a yellow vest. She was wearing a yellow vest!! I changed lanes and proceeded to wait another 20 mins before I could check out. That's just one problem. I have had cashiers toss my purchases in the bags, I also had one girl who put my purchases down in the bagging area, even though I had a bag open and waiting, she then proceeded to walk away and left me to bag and the lineup waiting. These cashier have both been long time employees. Some cashiers are doing a great job, but the ones who aren't make me want to shop elsewhere. There is also one of the most rudest men I have ever met as a greeter! He saw me walking out with a big package, not bagged and yelled at me "receipt" as I was getting it out he yelled it 2 more times. I can't even look at him when I am in the store. Also, the yellow vest might be a good idea in theory, but quite often these employees are standing together "chatting" and are very unapproachable. I am at the Midland store almost daily. Those days are done. I will be getting prescriptions filled and price matching non local stores, and that's it! I am very disappointed in a store I used to enjoy, I will continue to shop locally, just not there.

This Walmart might be the worst one around unfortunately. I usually really like all Walmarts, but this one is very often out of stock for many items and it's a bit smaller store so it doesn't have all the selection of some other Walmarts. I then had to go inside their warehouse with my 2 year old in order to find another staff. This time he was nice enough to grab the device and check on the inventory for me... In the end, they ran out of stock. Yet their website at that store says they have it in stock... Update: Hi folks I'm back 11 months later, I forgot I even reviewed this. I went back today to Wal-Mart Port Hawkesbury and had the exact same experience. IF THE PEOPLE WORKING AT THE PHOTO LAB WERE ANY DUMBER YOU WOULD HAVE TO WATER THEM TWICE A DAY. Management please get one of the international students working in there. If you need help, find one of the East Indians, they actually help you and they actually have a clue. This Walmart location in Port Hawkesbury leaves too much to be desired. The staff are so unhelpful it's ridiculous. This is why most of the time I avoid them, but the times you actually need to interact with them proves their idiocy. WHERE ARE THE SELF CHECKOUTS? The line ups are 1km long. Super understaffed---get the self checkouts. Which leads me to my biggest point: The people in the photo lab have no idea that they even work in the photo lab it seems. This store is ALWAYS out of basic supplies especially in the summer. No white sugar or chocolate chips when I went one time. Also no McDonald Keurig pods or decaf pods of any brand another time.
