Quick service. Big portions for a good price. Had the chicken roti with pepper on the side. Kids had the jerk chicken, rice and coleslaw. Good music outside while you seat and eat under the straw umbrellas. Would definitely eat here again.

My family and I passed by Fort Knox Island Grill on Thursday, we’re vacationing from Brampton. The food was real nice! Knox was very friendly and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend if your heading that way to pass buy and try out this nice spot!

Found this place by smell. They BBQ stuff and it smelled fantastic. Had jerk goat... Very good. My wife had curry chicken.. think she liked it as well. Good portions. Do plan to return if in the area.

Have had both the chicken curry and jerk chicken dinners. Everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious. If you're on your way down Bowes street and happen to get a wiff of his BBQ outside, it'll be hard to resist stopping and trying it for yourself.

Fast and friendly service even though it was busy. Delicious. Ya as one other person said some of the jerk chicken was a tad over-done but overall still a great meal. Also had coleslaw, rice, meat patties - all great. I wish they sold the coleslaw by the container. I'd buy that. Very high value for the price. Lots of parking too. Picnic tables. Good drink selection (no boozy drinks).

There is 100% the place to go if your looking for authentic jerk chicken. It's a very nice change from the often bland pub food you find in the town. Give it a try, you can thank me later.

An owner of this restaurant was just so happy which made all customers smile. It was such a nice day out and a roti was very good to enjoy at a patio. Scent of chicken from a barbecue grill near patios added more taste to it! This roti was very big enough to be shared between my mother and me. I recommend people both local to Perry Sound or pass by on their road trip to check out!

A great little spot by the water. They only have four tables outside for dining and were occupied so I drove 1 minute up to Tower Hill Heritage Garden to enjoy food. Four stars because the portion isn’t what I’m expecting, their large is only the medium size we get in Toronto Caribbean restaurants. And yeah, it’s two hours away from Toronto. I’m definitely recommending this and looking forward returning here again.

Came here after smelling curry from the stop light and did not regret the decision! I got the Curry Goat Dinner which comes with rice and peas and slaw, the boneless goat and melts in your mouth. The fried dumplings were also incredible, and you have the option to get meat in them as well. Got a couple beef patties too, which were also amazing!! Definitely try this place out if you haven't already.

I would not recommend this place my mom sister and I ended throwing out our food we all had the curry chicken. Which not only looks really gross tasted worse. Ive had far better! I'm surprised by all of the good reviews because I will never go back

Me and the fiancé were driving to cottage country when I saw Island Grill Fort Knox and thought I would give it a try out of curiosity, being that I am Jamaican and all. And I must say, this is one of the most authentic tasting caribbean restaurants I’ve been to in Canada. The jerk chicken was perfectly smoked and cooked, tasted like it did back home. Rice and peas was fluffy and flavorful, and the coleslaw was excellent. If you are looking for authentic and delicious Caribbean cuisine, please go to island grill Fort Knox.

Little shop on the side of main road next to a coin op car wash. Run by a great guy with great takeout food. Roti, curry, jerk. We had Boneless Goat and side of Jerk Pork. Has a roast pit out side. All the food was great. And plenty Caribbean drinks like Ting and Peardrax

Found this gem on an 8day cross Ontario journey. By far the BEST meal we had on the road. The ox tail and curry goat reminded me of being in the islands and the vibing music made for an amazing stop on our road trip. Been meaning to try this little hidden gem for a couple of summers and finally got to indulge. Beef patties were homemade and delicious. Juicy jerk chicken with a slow but solid amount of heat along with AMAZING rice & peas and a standard but really tasty slaw. Great price, friendly staff and unreal food. Do you need to hear anything more? Get over there and try the chicken already!

It was okay. Coming from the city were there were a lot of places that sell authentic dishes, the ox tail i got from this place tasted bland, no spice at all. The coleslaw was also really watery.

The coleslaw is fabulous and the staff are lovely. I really really want to love this place but my jerk chicken was overcooked verging on burnt. Friends highly recommended dishes that had sold out. Will I try again?

Although tasty, kinda pricey for what I had. After tip and tax I spent almost $13 for a typical grocery store beef patty and a rather small jerk chicken wrap. The wrap was good, just really small. You be better off getting a dinner plate for the same amount of money. I'll give it another try this summer.

I'm an electrical contractor who was working at a Lake Joseph cottage when the owner graciously brought me a chicken wrap for lunch. Let me tell you it was absolutely delicious and crazy good. He told me it was an authentic Caribbean/Jamaican takeout place with an outdoor grill called Fort Knox Island Grill that he even took a picture of. I was impressed. A few days later I decided to go into Parry Sound to get another one and I also tried barbecued jerk chicken for the first time. Let me till you again it was phenomenal. The flavor was out of the ball park. A true jem in the the Canadian North for sure! The owner Knox and his team will not disappoint. Thank you for the delicious food and experience. Joe Pesce

Really authentic, delicious food. Great portions and fair prices. The jerk chicken is obviously the staple, just follow the smell and plume of smoke coming from the grill in the parking lot. All the other dishes are equally as great though, the goat is tender and not too gamey, and fried chicken crisp and moist. The hot sauce is phenomenal, I've heard people frequently request it by the bottle. It's a super chill atmosphere, which may result in a bit more of a wait but great things take time. Just be patient, take a second to enjoy the moment and relax, then dig in to some of the best caribbean food outside of a beach on the islands.

Wow, all i can is wow. Great food, portions, staff, and atmosphere. The jerk chicken is slow cooked outside on charcoal and tastes unlike anything i have ever had before. The oxtail was cooked to perfection you could even eat the smaller bones along with the meat.

Do you like curry, jerk, patties, rice and peas? They sell out of roti quickly! We went there last night, but they were sold out. We came back tonight, but their delivery was late, so we ordered a jerk chicken dinner and a curry chicken dinner instead. Wife and I loved them both. The dinners came with beans & rice and coleslaw. All good. We're going back tomorrow to try and get some roti before they sell out again. Super friendly atmosphere, very casual, we ate at the picnic tables outside. Food is well priced.

This is a hidden gem without a doubt. Prices and portions sizes are on point. I've tried the Caribbean food from Barrie to Sudbury and this place makes them both like an absolute joke. Amazing food, good vibes and open ON SUNDAYS. For those of you unfamiliar with Caribbean/Jamaican cuisine, restaurants traditionally are never open Sunday's. Big time spot that is a must have if passing through. The oxtail was fireeeeeeeee.

Food was very good, price and quantity was decent, ordered chicken roti and boneless goat dinner which was having rice with red kidney beans at bottom and then salad on side and goat was really tender and juicy, Will prefer this to all.

We tried Fort Knox Island Grill for the first time today. We popped in only to find out there weren't any ready made vegetarian options, but they offered to make us a fresh vegetarian roti (chickpeas, curried potatoes, vegetables). I have to say it was absolutely incredible. It was so packed full of flavor and deliciously fresh. This is a hidden gem and an unexpected find in Parry Sound.

Wow Jamaican in Parry Sound!! The chicken roti with their homemade hot sauce is the best I’ve ever had and I LOVE my rotis! The jerk chicken was outstanding. Again, the best I’ve ever had! Bravo chefs...you knocked it out of the park. Never drive past this place!!

Price is very good for the amount of food toy are getting. Price range from $10 to $14 a meal box. I order the curry lamb ( very soft lamb top with light curry)4* Gf order a jerk pork( one of the best bbq pork with skin I had.) For sure I will go back every time I drive by perry sound Hope the owner won't change anything when I visit you next time

Love the atmosphere. Food is fresh, you can smell the smoke from the food cooking and hear the upbeat music. Fast, friendly service. Reasonable portions and prices; glad to find Caribbean food all the way up in Parry Sound. Jerk Chicken was flavourful but a bit dry. Generous portions of goat. Roti was my favourite of our order. Food could use some more herbs, spices and heat options.
