Every time I come here in the morning I get the same rude barista and the hours are never consistent. This is a very unprofessional cafe. The only reason I come here is because it’s the only coffee shop close by. The rudeness of the young female barista is getting out of hand. Please look into this management.

Visited for the first time recently and I really loved it. I'll definitely be back to study between classes. Much more comfortable and cozy than anything else around campus. The food was really good and they were out of chai when I visited but hopefully I'll be able to try it next time! A real gem on Rideau!

Went here for breakfast. Ordered the everything bagel and peanut butter cookie. It was freshly baked. Cookie was really soft and chewy. It had some sea salt on it. So perfect balance of sweet and salty. Bagel with cream cheese was okay. It was a little hard and sticky. Cream cheese was really good and made the overall taste nice. Staff was super friendly and nice. It is a small nice and hip coffee/ breakfast place. They even have their own branded merchandise as well which is pretty cool.

Not a very good selection of foods. Would have liked to have seen some sandwiches and maybe some banana cake brownies along those lines. Only water they had was Perrier, but they did have tap water which was fine with me. Coffee is coffee and I am no expert, but it was fine. Washrooms very clean, but the Space Age Technology of flushing took a little getting used to. Nice layout and I like that they had electrical outlets all over the place for all the people with their laptops or phone or whatever else.

My personal experience has been nothing short of AWESOMENESS! I glad that this close to my work and have enjoyed every cup. The service for the cumberland store is above and beyond the others and have become a custom to their demeaner and each person with their own personal touch to this industry that is put down for what they do. And for anyone going to this location you will not be disappointed in any way, shape or form. 8 FINGERS WAAAAAAAAAAAY UP! LOL INCLUDING MY THUMBS HAHAHAHAH

That stretch of Rideau street is not pleasant, and I always hurry and dismiss that goat coffee place. This time I had to go to the toilet so I entered. In an instant I felt calm and happy. The place is airy, with a simple, relaxing to the eye color scheme black, wood and white. Patrons seemed to enjoy their time, even the students finishing their homework. The vibe was friendlier than at my Starbucks. The decaf Americano and the baristas were nice. The large windows so well cleaned. Flowers along the ledge. A relaxing oasis in this sad neighbourhood.

Every time I try to go there it's too crowded, which is a shame because the coffee and food are good. There should be more tables instead of couches, since the main clientele is students with laptops. You cant do work on a couch. Oh also, need of more power outlets!

Inconsistent hours, rude staff, semi-cold food, and majority of the time they open whenever they want usually hours after they’re supposed to open. Management needs to step in and clean up their staffing issues. Many of their clients feel the same way. If a coffee shop is unable to provide coffee during the early hours of the day then they should shut down and be replaced by another coffee shop, maybe even a Starbucks.

Great coffee spot serving the locally roasted Happy Goat Coffee. There you can get all the espressos beverages as well as brewed coffee using their specialty coffee beans. There is a selection of pastries to choose from as well. The space is great for working with lots of space and even desk lamps! It’s a perfect next level coffee shop!

Great location! The aesthetic, ambiance and decor are lovely. Please try the chocolate banana brownie, it’s to die for. They have a variety of fun drinks to try as well as seasonal syrups and flavours. Can’t forget about the customer service! My barista (Jonny) gave great recommendations and was very well trained. The drinks he made were top notch. Will have to go again!

Best coffee in Ottawa. Whether you are getting a cappuccino or their locally roasted beans to take home. Service is always friendly and efficient, so it is a good place to grab a coffee to go if you are in a hurry but it also has plenty of places to sit and outlets to plug in whatever tech you have.

Menu is what you can expect from any Happy Goat location, but the layout of this particular cafe is much more spacious and bright. It’s a very popular location for students so it may be difficult to find seating as most guests here use it as a study space. Staff is super friendly and helpful! Love this spot!

Brand new location! I love how the happy goat is becoming a small little Ottawa chain. The coffee is very good quality and the atmosphere here is very nice. I can see myself bringing a date here or even just studying. Would definitely recommend visiting a happy goat location if you're in Ottawa. Also, they gave vegan options which is great.

I have been there multiple times during my stay in Ottawa. They had the best light roast around the city. 2.50 CAD for a mug. Expect the place to be full almost all the time. They close pretty early so keep that in mind.

the grilled cheese is not tasty at all, barista told me they do latte art on london fog and that’s why i order it, ended up getting this; my friend got a latte, also, the barista don’t even know how to do latte art we got tricked by their instagram photos so we walked for 15 minutes just to get here to experience the horrible coffee and lies. super regret the tips we gave them and the money spend on these trash

My husband and I had a very bad experience today, Sept. 29, 2021, at this place. The young woman that was serving there had an horrible attitude toward the clients, no being polite at all and really had bad manners when asking for the proof of covid vaccination. She didn’t know that the Janssen vaccine only has one dose. She said “I’ll letyou in for today”, as if she was doing us a favor… Also, she had bad mood with other clients. People like her should not work serving customers.

Excellent coffee shop in the heart of the city. A decent sized spaced with some really comfortable seating for lounging, chairs and tables and a couple of bar rows for studying or work if you're that way inclined. Tends to fill up quickly and stay full so if you're going the earlier the better. The staff are warm, friendly and amazingly knowledgeable about their craft and the products they sell. The coffee is excellent, having been roasted at their flagship location and is brewed to perfection. More of an industrial chic, student/business atmosphere but a great spot for a cup of coffee.

Extremely rude barista and inconsistent hours. Looking at the reviews I can tell that the girl that opens this location is rude to everyone and is always late. What a disgrace for a coffee shop. Please look into the matter and get that terrible barista removed. This is my 3rd time having the same issue with the same barista. Grow up, and start having some respect for your clients.

Amazing place to go work on projects or to study. The place really feels like home, with confortable seating in various forms, for every tastes, and many electrical outlets to plug in your computer. The barristas were great and friendly, the Chai Latte I had was good, and they seem to have a variety of things to munch on as well. Much better environment than the Tim across the street.

Found this gem. Although at the moment, there are many constructions happening around, this place itself is very quaint and calm. It’s a nice place to study. I ordered iced oat latte and it was nice. The baristas working here are super sweet and friendly!

This is a cozy coffee shop on busy Rideau St., just on the cusp of the popular By Ward Market and within walking distance of the Chateau Laurier Hotel and Parliament Hill. The menu offers terrific coffee selections, baked goodies and light lunch items.

It was our first time trying Happy Goat and I’m so glad we did because I found my new favourite Iced Latte. Definitely will try their coffee beans so I can make it at home. But I’m only giving this specific location 4 stars because the service wasn’t as great as we expected. Staff weren’t really friendly but hopefully when we come back it’ll be a better one. Love their coffee anyhow!
