Pretty nice atmosphere inside. Paid almost $5 for a medium sized cafe latte. It was ok but definitely nothing special. Would prefer a McDonalds coffee over the latte next time ????‍♀️

Love the whole ambiance of this Café. Beautiful vintage chairs and tables and they also have a big table on the side were people can study. They have a separate section full of barrels of coffee of different varieties. The coffee is great but what I truly love are their cheesecakes

It is always a delicious experience coming to this place. The coffee and the hot chocolate is a must try, it doesn't ask for anything to Starbucks'. The paninis are good if you are hungry. The price is really good. Not expensive. By the way, you can now have wine or beer. The only withdraw would be the space. On peak hours it's really hard getting a table. Tables are really close each other. Another issue is the parking lot is too small, you would need to park infront.

Love this coffee house! It's a beautiful place. I've been there twice now and the food and coffee are delicious. Avocado toast, soup, sandwiches - you can't go wrong with any item you choose! And the baked goods are so good also. It always seems very busy so getting a spot to sit down has been difficult both times I've been (not even on a weekend) but that's the only negative aspect, everything else is great! Would definitely recommend. It would be so nice if they opened more locations around Ottawa!

Great coffee shop. We had hot chocolate, coffee, chocolate croissant, muffin and cookie and they were all good. Only downside is that it was quite busy and loud (Sunday morning).

Very attractive place, but the service is truly awful. Stone-faced staff who clearly aren’t well trained. I was actually handed a latte that was only 3/4 full by a teenager who clearly couldn’t care any less. Worse, the medium latte in a large cup tasted mediocre. In a city with several decent indie coffee shops, Figaro’s coffee is flat and over roasted, which gives you weak and bitter espresso. My first visit will be my last. If you want to find my Figaro coffee, check the garbage can at Starbucks across the street.

This place serves coffee. And not like the usual coffee, but coffee that makes you believe in coffee again. If you like coffee, and I believe that you must should we be friends, that you will love this coffee. I took my sister here. She likes coffee, usually Timmie's or Starbucks. One visit and she literally dreams about Figaro lattes now. Dreams about it. Think on that. When's the last time you dreamed about a Timmie's double double that wasn't a nightmare that involved the urgent need for questionable gas station restrooms? I will wait.

Love this cafe. Tall ceilings and bright space with tons of windows. Free WiFi. Friendly and attentive service. Have had excellent lattes, but my new favourite is the pumpkin... With homemade pumpkin puree! The loaf was moist and not too sweet. Lovely local coffee shop.

It's a nice and cosy place to have coffee and a light meal. The coffee is very well done and the service is on par with other similar premium cafe. The seating area is a little tight, so privacy is limited. The place overall is open with tall windows letting in lots of light.

When I asked for suggestions the barista was actually able to explain the tasting notes of different coffees which is way too rare even in most high end shops. The seasonal lavender latte was also excellent in addition to the ordinary brew, however the baked goods are pretty average. Still, it's the coffee that matters and that's on point, and the ambience is great as well. Nice to have an option for a proper cup of coffee in an area otherwise devoid of it.

Had a very good macchiato here. Herbal tea selection is unusual/trendy, for example, mint-ginger-lime combination. Banana bread is very good. Friendly staff; place is very clean and modern. I would not call it cozy, but definitely will be back.

$$$. I do love the ambiance and the coffee, as well as the avocado toast, but today I was shocked when my mixed greens salad + coffee came to $16.39. For an average-sized salad (five small strips of chicken, five craisins, a few rings of pickled onion, two teaspoons of goat's cheese and two teaspoons of balsamic dressing) and a large, dark-roast coffee, that seems pretty steep.

Lots of windows and decor is simple. I ordered dark roast and its strong coffee is smooth without bitterness (I drink black coffee). Carrot cake is delicious. Will definitely go back again. In the small room, there are barrels of coffees beans you can select and buy.

Great local place with a unique environment. They roast their own coffee in the back, and they have plenty of seating around. It does get pretty crowded throughout the day, as it’s one of the only good coffee places around besides Starbucks in the area. Great for students and those looking for something local and different

My only complaint is that it’s only available in the summertime I really wish they had it year round. This is also a great place to do a little bit of work however, do note can get a little busy

Over roasted burnt coffee! They butchered each and every single origin that have for sale. Dark roasted Yirgacheffe? Really? This is just a sign that their "roasters" have no clue what they are doing and are just spewing out over roasted junk in order to create a consistent product. The baristas behind the bar served up a massive wall of cappuccino foam on my flat white. If you want a true craft coffee experience visit one of the local independent roaster/coffee houses where they actually care about their beans and product.

We visited today and I have to say the experience exceeded my expectations. The pastry selection looked delicious and was well laid-out ,though my croissant was a little on the dry side. I had a flat white and it was well made. The person I came with had black coffee and it tasted a little off... almost stale. The place is gorgeous though and their actual menu looks great as well. I do wish they had more than 2 plug-ins. It seems strange that a coffee shop only have two plug-ins

I went today with my friend and the service was wonderful. The staff were so kind and quick, and the food and drinks were delicious. I had the mocha and the ham and cheese croissant and they were so tasty. The atmosphere is so comfortable and air conditioned as well. Definitely check this place out.

Love the food experience, the atmosphere and of course, the coffee. Third time there to meet people. Not completely confident in following covid-protocol for indoor seating. There is one table way too close to the line up to order and they did not seem to be taking names and phone numbers for contact tracing. Rather to take to go, or seat outside. They are filling take out mugs at the time we were there.

Their coffee is great-- but what really sets them apart are their pastries. SO good! They have almond croissants with the marzipan inside, like Starbucks used to have, but better. Their cherry/yogurt danishes are the BEST I've ever had. Staff is lovely, too. There are some critiques on here about how they run their business during Covid, but unfortunately every business has to follow (constantly changing) guidelines *while* ensuring their business can stay afloat. So I understand not being able to stay here for long periods studying, etc.

Figaro is a lovely spot with wonderful staff. Love that is is licensed and has additional items other shops do not have, such as cheese plates and sangria. The vibe is trendy yet classic with high vaulted ceilings. Will definitely be returning.

We love Figaro! My girlfriend (who previously didn’t enjoy coffee) absolutely loves their lattes. The espresso is so tasty & unique. Our signature drink is a vanilla almond latte in our own cups, they offer a nice discount off if you bring your own which is awesome! They also serve everything “for here” on glass plates and mugs and seem to be environmentally conscious (opposed to fast-food style coffee chains where everything is to-go). We’ve now tried plenty of their baked goods & the apple turnover, butter croissant, blueberry muffin and gluten free pumpkin loaf are our favourites! I’ve also tried the falafel wrap, & avocado toast as well as the tomato basil breakfast wrap and they are all so good. They also make nice to go veggies & hummus which are a perfect snack on the way to the dog park :) the staff are friendly & make us feel welcomed.. our only complaint is the lack of parking but I couldn’t give less stars for something I’m sure they had no control of !

It is a very nice coffee shop for studying or having a conversation with a friend. But it gets very busy on weekends and finding parking can be problematic. Overall, I love Figaro Coffee House.

First time to this location and I can say that I was impressed. Nice atmosphere with well setup and well-designed with people in mind. Good amount of seating for the clients on one side of the establishment as well as seating on the other side where they also sell their own coffee beans. Good selection of treats and lunchon food at the main counter, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating . The cafe is very well kept and clean, and decor seating and table arrangement were also a nice touch . Very good place to meet for a chat with a friend or read your favorite novel. I sincerely recommend this establishment! :)

This is the first cafe I hit when I came to Ottawa and it didn't disappoint at all. From the high ceilings to beautiful industrial lights and big space I am glad I checked this place out before I got the usual Starbucks for a caffeine fix. They do make a good coffee and selected pastries with some sandwiches and frittatas. I loved my flat white and cappuccino. And they made it well here. Friendly service. It's busy most of the time regardless weekday or weekends. They do have a small parking space, but the spots does get fill up quick. You can always park a little further up where Nordstrom Rack parking spaces. A good place to hang out to with free WiFi and Farm Boy is just across the street with the Movita gym and Nordstrom Rack. A good place to check out whenever you're in Ottawa.

I tried Figaro on recommendation from an acquaintance and was glad I did. The vanilla latte I ordered was very good and the citrus chicken wrap was delicious, although maybe a little pricey for the size. My 10 year old had a ham and cheese sandwich, which the staff made for her despite it not being on the menu. The drink pricing was very reasonable and the staff was friendly and helpful. I will be back to try some other offerings and I’ll bring my husband next time, who is a Starbucks nut.

The place is beautiful! My last milk latte was good, nothing crazy but it fit the bill. The place seemed a little disorganized, and there were lots of dirty dishes on tables and on the espresso bar, management should come up with a better system because there's no way the staff can keep up on bussing the wholesale place. Regardless, check this place out and see for yourself: the visuals are worth at least giving it a chance!

I ordered online from them, and the purchase was fast and efficient, and delivery came as promised. The coffee was very good quality. I perhaps would have wanted the dark to be even darker, but it was crisp and has a very bright note which was very good. Also had the apple turnover, and it was very yummy. Prices were reasonable for the quality, too. I will definitely order from them again! Excellent.

Great food and coffee and ambience, the only downside is the manager named Anna who just gave me a racist treatment. I am a woman of visible minority and she told me to get out and go back to where I cam from, because I spent too long at my table when there were a dozen empty tables around. I felt so unsafe and will bring this to the media's attenrion. What a sad thing to see racism in Ottawa when we are all struggling to get through COVID.

I came for the wifi because I needed to get some work done, but the staff said the wifi would be down till 4pm. When 4pm came the wifi was still not available, and the staff was dismissive when I repeatedly asked about the wifi situation. I ended up not getting any work done and wasted an entire hour here. Guess it's time to switch to another coffee house in the area.

Great low key coffee spot! I drove past here yesterday and just knew I had to come by. Overall, my experience is great! The atmosphere is high end and modern, but the prices are average compared to other coffee spots. I got the lavender latte and I really enjoyed the taste. Other places would put a lot of lavender syrup into it making it too sweet, but for this one you could really taste the coffee. I guess my semi disappointment is that it looks like an average latte. Since the price was the seasonal latte one, I was hoping they’d put lavender cloves or something on there or at least put some effort into the latte art, but it’s more about the taste here. There’s free strong wifi, lots of spots with outlets, and surprisingly a lot of seatings which makes it a perfect study spot! I don’t know if it’s the nature of the architecture, but it’s so quiet for the amount of people that were in there (there were a mixture of people chatting and studying). Also this place is very wheelchair accessible, even the washroom have one that’s wheelchair accessible. Highly recommend this coffee spot! I’m definitely coming back. The fact that it got its own parking lot makes it very accessible and I can’t wait to try more stuffs!

Great coffee and costumer service! The location is not ideal and the outside seating is limited, but the inside space is beautifully decorated. If you want, you can bring a laptop and work from there. They also customize your drink (ex: lactose free options).

The atmosphere is really nice and my latte was delicious. The treats all looked good but I didn't indulge. The coffee beans are roasted here in Ottawa, it feels good to support local. They had just recently opened so they are still figuring out the kinks a bit. A great place to meet and socialize, I'll be back for sure. Nice to have a higher end coffee place in the neighbourhood.

Very friendly service, spacious, and good selection in menu. I got the lavender latte, and my friend got the lavender green tea. The tea was sweeter than the latte for sure, so if you’re looking for just a hint of lavender I’d recommend the latte. It was pretty busy when I went but there were still a lot of tables available. I like the option of adding coloured sugars to the drinks! Makes the experience here more fun.

Very good coffee. Beautiful space with soaring ceilings. The marble counters made me feel like i was in italy. The cookie i got was decent but she offerred to heat it up which was a nice touch. They sell their beans. Good spot to get work done but you would really only be there if youre shopping in the area. Yet the laptoppers were there.

Not my cup of coffee. The staff was helpful and nice, though not terribly knowledgeable. The space is quite nice; the seating both indoors and out is pleasant and the decor is tasteful. But the coffee is not so tastey. The shots being pulled are kind of sloppy and the espresso is bitter and way out of balance. I had a flat white, well I'm not sure what it was, but it wasn't a flat white. The bulk beans they sell (and roast?) are displayed in these big barrels out for display with scoops and plexiglas tops. A terrible way to store coffee. And there wasn't a roast date to be seen. This is not what I expect from a modern café.

This is just a quick note to bring to your attention that it is becoming an increasingly reinforced opinion of mine that the level of service offered by your baristas has been inconsistent. That is to say, though I find that most of your baristas are friendly and attentive, there are some who make me feel that my patronship is unwelcome and even resented. I am not sure if this is due to my appearance, as I am always well mannered and prompt in my communication. I will be paying more attention in my subsequent visits such as to provide a more semantically complete explanation of my observations. I would very much like to continue using your establishment, as the location and quality of consumable products are desirable. What can not be tolerated, however, is to waste my time and thought processes trying to excuse rude behaviour from some of your baristas (one male in particular, serving me during my past 3 visits, whom I do not feel compelled to refer to as a "gentleman"). Have a good weekend.

Had a really tasty latte and breakfast wrap! The only downsides are that parking is very limited (not really a big deal) and the space in front of the counter is a little crowded and there is not much room to squeeze by. I will be back for sure!

Friendly staff and delicious food. Great cappuccinos! They also have a very clever system for contact tracing where they provide you a cleaned pen to sign in, then you toss it in a 'dirty pens' bowl. I haven't seen that anywhere else, very effective!

My wife and I used to frequently come here on weekends. However, they stopped providing wifi for the customers between 10am and 4pm (their new business decision) Even though their coffee tastes great, I don’t think we’ll be coming here again.

This is hands down, the best cafe in Ottawa! They hit every beat: atmosphere, service, value, and quality. I've yet to come across an employee that doesn't seem happy to be there which says a lot imo. My fave is their oatmilk cappuccino. Every baked good I've had has been divine and I struggle making a choice because it all looks so good and never disappoints. If you try their brownie, definitely get it warm because, chocolate heaven. Their coffee... I don't even know how to express how happy it makes me. I love my coffee strong and theirs has that awesome strong flavour BUT without the bitterness! It's unbelievably smooth and highlights everything good in the bean. Even my daughter, who is super picky with sweet things, finished her hot chocolate (with oatmilk), saying it was the best she's ever had. For reference, whenever she gets a tall hot chocolate at Starbucks, she rarely ever finishes it and here she downed a medium (12oz). My only wish would be for at least a couple vegan treats. But that's about it.

Ambiance is on point here, and there is parking!! Such a perk. The downside is they charge an INSANE amount for their baked goods. The staff are sometimes nice but not the most friendly. But if you want a cool ambiance with parking this is it.

The place is nice, no doubt about it. But the coffee......it was sour and plain. the sour flavor last in the mouth about 1 hour. I took the coffee with my own mug and have to throw it out after I had 2/3. Before I throw it out, I asked my girlfriend to tasted and her expression tell me she was not impressed. I think they should really taste their 'medium roast' before they take the customer money.

Ordered two fairly simple coffees - Americano - mocha Americano was decaf but was watery - I have a stronger from McDonald’s - it was also not even hot when I got it. Was maybe Luke warm The mocha was of room temperature as well. When we asked if their desserts had nuts in them - due to an anaphylactic allergy - they had no clue - just “well it’s gluten free” The same person who took our order brought us our drinks but couldn’t remember who ordered what. It also appeared to be difficult to get two forks - not sure if it was a sarcastic “I guess so” or not but either way that’s not really professional. Needless to say - not sure I’ll be coming back seeing as I can get a hotter not so watery coffee at McDonald’s for the same price (for a larger size) My expectations must have been too high :(

My husband and I were up at 7am on a Saturday and were looking for a coffee place that wasn’t Starbucks. This place did not disappoint! You cannot miss the aroma of fresh baked pastries, even with a mask! We follow a ketogenic lifestyle and were surprised to see Bulletproof coffee. It was so creamy and delicious and a great way to start the day! My husband also had a cherry turnover that they warmed. He said it was flakey and sweet, like a big hug. We loved this place so much, we even took more coffee to go. We would definitely be back and love supporting local coffee places!

Beautiful space, odd location, mediocre coffee. High vaulted ceilings and well appointed interior is nice to relax and have a coffee in. Location is a bit odd being in a more industrial part of town and Trainyards malls. Service was friendly enough, but coffee was thin and bland.

I went to figaro coffee house a few times to meet a friend for coffee - it’s a nice and relax place to go with a nice decor/ style. They have a few different kind of sandwiches, muffins and other goodies that will meet everyone’s taste! We always had good service and the food and coffee excellent! I recommend for a little me time, family, friends or couple. It is also well located - just beside Nordstrom rack and trainyards stores. Enjoy! ????

They are very nice, but the Grizzly Chai tastes more like hot milk that someone dipped a cinnamon stick in. Not spicy at all; stick to the coffee.

They have the potential to be good. The last few visits the medium roast coffee was really watery. Every time I've purchased cookies or croissants as well they have been burnt. I came back several times hoping for an improvement but they seem to be getting worst. Edit: August 2 - Coffee seems to have improved significantly, changing my rating from 2 to 4 stars.
