REVIEWS OF Bridgehead IN Ottawa

Neil Barker

Excellent! I like being able to have a coffee and see where the beans are roasted. It's a nice layout having the roastery and cafe in the same location and room.

Hamza Syed

Beautiful coffee shop with a wide variety of coffee beans to choose from. They let me taste their dark roast coffee before deciding. Definitely will be back when places fully reopen. Also, the cherry lemon loaf is amazing.

banie setijoso

Very nice place for coffee and chill, just not so much working as it's quite loud and only one table near plugs

Ollie Serre

Great atmosphere to enjoy a nice bowl of coffee and read the news. An industrial cozy place to think about your day. They make all sorts of lattes/coffees/drinks.

Mike Perron

Went here for coffee last week, for the first time. You couldn't tell how big it is till you go in! Amazing things to look at, great coffee!

Craig Marsh

I love this place. Delicious food. Great coffee. Awesome space with roasting going on right there.

Adel Tabibz

Very good fresh coffees. Tasty pastries. Cosy place. Free WiFi and fast.

Chris Dooley

Great coffee (especially the Americano) but this is where they roast the beans for all the bridgehead shops so it is VERY LOUD!! Bring earplugs if you want to do any reading here.

Peter Riehm

Nice place but can be noisy when the roasting is going on. I prefer other Bridgehead locations to this one but this is really near my house!

Manuel Lavin (Manny)

Great coffee and very cool place. Looks and feels like a brewery but with coffee! Very friendly staff and good baked goods. We had a chocolate croissant and a pumpkin muffin and they were both very tasty. Great little pit stop for us to refuel for our drink!

F

It's loud because they brew the coffee on site, but it's a great place to stick in some earphones, grab a drink and get some work done.

mikey v

THE location for bridgehead coffee. 1277, take note. you can learn a few things.

Doug Bailey

Helpful barista who helped me pick out a coffee blend to give to someone else as a gift. I dont drink coffee so I dont know anything about coffee

Erick L

Amazing place with fresh beans being roasted. Good coffee and wonderful snacks

Feras Gumgumji

Coffe is dark roasted and well prepared, croissant is very oily and the apple and berry muffins are bit sour and is is not cheap though! Maybe will come back for the coffee but not the bakery!

J Gnome

My local Minimalist like to meet here and compare notes over superb coffee in a very functional atmosphere.

Olivia Faveri

Awful wraps - very soggy. Awful earl grey latte - tastes like it went bad. Awful cookies - rock solid, could chip a tooth on one.

Lise Comtois

From the outside you wouldn't. think how big it is inside. It's impressive to see the process of coffee beans live. Friendly service great coffee

Emily

Great service, the two baristas who served me were super sweet. I like the setting too.

B Inthavong

Beautiful atmosphere. Lovely to see the inner workings of the bakery. Careful to make sure you get your drink and not someone else's. Drinks aren't labeled too well and the place echos so things can be misheard.

Lesley Moll

Interesting place to go, as the roasting facility is right there. Very noisy to have a meeting or talk though. Workers are wearing hearing protection.

Ottawa Tours

This is a cool place in Ottawa! Check the coffee being roasted as you sip yours, and see the hustle and bustle of Little Italy coming to life around this location!

Ray Carbonneau

Very nice shop integrated with the coffee roasting operation and the bakery. Very roomy and nice decor. Minimal patio space.

Christina XINA Lamothe

Friendly service. Best tasting coffee bar none! Staff go above and beyond in service.

Jaimie Vincent

Do not come here during the day without noise-cancelling headphones if you’re planning on working or wanting a peaceful atmosphere. The noise is deafening. Drip coffee is good.

Marc Lapointe

Beautiful place! Industrial-looking, with all the equipment to roast and bake and prep all the coffee and food they send out to all the other Bridgeheads in the city. The mothership basically. ;-) Kinda wish they'd let me use some of that space (or maybe set up some cooking classes? rent out the facilities?)...

Andy Dabydeen

Great space to host coffee adventures. Never know what new coffee they have, but this would be the place to find it. If in Ottawa, Bridgehead is the only place you should get your coffee. And you'll feel good about it too. Everything is fair traded. At this location, they offer tours of the roastery.

Rick Ferro

I really like their ham and cheese croissants and their coffee is way better than Starbucks ????

Ali A

Some good organic coffee brewing here. Also the gluten free chocolate quinoa loaf is one of my favorite here. Bridgehead only uses the best quality ingredients and you can definitely taste the difference.

Rebecca Happy

Accessible and good place to go or coffee. Great if you go alone as it is fully supports individual coffee drinking with computers. Tends to be noisy and a bit chilly in the winter. Always great things to purchase.

Pamela Eastwood

Higher priced coffee and food, industrial setting inside is cool. Amazing staff, if you just want coffee, don't go here.

AdA

Clean, anazing service, divine iced espresso!

Nicole Beaumont

Love the company, coffee, teas, soups, wraps and cookies!...not sure about the new cake slices though. I miss the carrot cake and brownie with icing. I also miss the bran blueberry muffin that they use to make so long ago.

Daniel Lauzon

The smell of baking bread and roasting coffee is irresistible! The make a really good flat white too.

Robert Parungao

Despite all the natural light, and cool machinery surrounding you it is damn near impossible to get a seat on the weekends and the size of the room makes sound echo, bring headphones to listen to music if you plan to do work here. Otherwise, exact same fare as any other Bridgehead.

Christina Marcantonio

We went on a tour of the roastery and the guide was super knowledgable not just about Bridgehead, but about coffee itself. All the workers are very passionate about what they do and the company

Hubert

Beautiful place with a small café built-in, located on the edges of Chinatown / Little Italy. This is also a bakery and is the primary roastery for their coffee beans, so the whole place just smells AMAZING! The free WiFi is very stable but note that it is slow. Nice variety of furnitures: booth tables, high tables, and low coffee tables.... but the quantity of seating is small and the staff seem to struggle keeping the tables clean. There is patio seating as well when the weather is warmer but here again, the quantity of seating is small and patio has no roof so you are sitting out in the sun. Nonetheless, the fresh breads and pastries, the incredible smells.... I would absolutely keep coming back here and here again!!!

Tolga Bakkaloglu

HQ of our favorite coffeehouse. Wish there were more plugs. But the atmosphere is nice. Specially in the weekends. Throughout the week it could get a little noisy. But the coffee is great as expected and the food is pretty good. They also serve beer after 4pm. It's the perfect spot!

Mel Skinner

Welcoming place to be at peace with your thoughts.

Derek Manning

Short review - Don't show up hear Mon-Fri 8-4 if you wan to work. 2 star if you're trying to work, or enjoy a coffee/latte in a quite setting during a week day. It's too bad these reviews aren't for set times, because I'm sure this place would be more enjoyable if these blasted grinders weren't going. They run at about 78-83Db.. constantly. Also, don't come with a power hungry laptop. There are two, maybe three outlets around. Kind of crappy. I'd review higher if I didn't need a laptop, and didn't mind the industrial coffee grinders running continuously.

Subash Raman

The smell of coffee.roasting early in the morning. If they could bottle this it would be worth a fortune as it was too.sexy for.words .... great place esp considering its off the beaten track location.

Bryce Dymond

Neat place in the city in historical Little Italy. Nice place for a meeting, reading nook or a coffee to go. Tours of the Roastery offered on saturdays too.

Maurice Leonard

Awesome place. Morning very noisy when production is on. Should have a half plexi-glass wall to syop noise from highly overriding whole customer setvice area Wonder if a decibel test was taken, customers would need earplugs. Other then that a lottle pricy, but good fresh food and coffee :)

Chris B

The café shares the building with its own roastery and as such is a really cool atmosphere. During the day it's easy to grab a seat, and in the summer they have some outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and helpful and the coffee is great. Lots of choices, and though I couldn't see it on the menu, they do have iced varieties for hot days.

Kelly Chu

Good coffee and friendly atmosphere !

Moe

Great coffee shop, fast service and nice atmosphere. I would highly recommend there Machiatto. My only gripe is the seating arrangement, almost all of the tables are large, 4-person tables that are almost always taken up by one person scattering all of there's items around the table to prevent anyone else from sitting. It is clear people don't like the idea of sharing tables, so why do it? Add more smaller, 1-2 person tables similar to how other coffee shops do. I've gone here for over a year and I can rarely find a place to sit during the middle of the day even with only 10-15 customers in the store.

Fred Regier

Great coffee. Thanks

Rocio Maldonado

Great place for coffee, tea and bread. This location has the coffee roasting and bread machines. Nice atmosphere.

Maxine

Had never been to this location until a few weeks ago... It's absolutely AMAZING! Took the Sourdough Workshop. What a great class, outstanding teacher!!! Can't wait for my next workshop!

J. B

Best coffee in town! They roast it all right here so you know it's going to be really fresh. If you're looking for a quiet cafe though, this is not your best choice. The machinery makes it very noisy most of the time.

Owen Chase

The place is very wonderful. Nice decoration. The food is good. Their coffee is the best . Nice place to sit down & have a cup of coffee. The service is great.

Megan McDonald

Spacious café with an industrial feel. Usually it's a great place for conversation, however sometimes the machines are noisy. Negative: Four out of four times, my table/seat were quite dirty/full of crumbs. The staff never seem to wipe the tables.

Wayne Radford (UncommonAdvisor)

Interesting location.. Main roasting facility, for regional coffee chain distribution. Coffee roasting, onsite. All the great selections, and services of Coffee available.

Sharon Olenick

Be a Barista workshop was educational and a lot of fun! Joey and Ian were great teachers. Going back soon!

Al

Biggest Bridgehead I have visited yet. I’m guessing this location is the main area where they do all the food (bread, wraps, etc.) The place is kept clean with free wifi, nice place to work while having a constant smell of bakery in the air. The staff is also really nice. There wasn’t any decaf drip coffee left but the offered me a decaf Americano for the same price.

Laura Gauthier

Great location, service and food/drink.

Cengiz Kadir

Love Bridgehead! This is there flagship store and where they roast the coffee beans. If you are in the area and need a java fix, this is the spot to be!

Guy Roussel

Great coffee a bit pricy but it's a good treat and desserts are awesome.

Cellena Cm

Great coffee and a really cool space but be aware that it's VERY loud. Bring headphones if you want to get work done!

Adrien Gervais

A little biased since I love bridgehead coffee. it's always busy but no lineups. You can also order big bags of coffee.

Adam Philippe

This is this their flagship location were they do their roasting, don't expect a quiet atmosphere if they are operating. Best ground coffee I've found. Ask the staff for help if you're new as there is a lot of variety in flavour in what the offer. Ham and gruyere croissants are delicious! Wraps and cookies are not as impressive, perhaps if you get them when they're freshly made I hope Second Cup's buyout is not their downfall

Jacques Lafontaine

Always great latte. Expensive side dish

Svetlana Kolozsvari (Lana)

Clean, cozy and surrounded by a freshly roasted coffee aroma.

Mike Tarrant

Awesome (of course) but HEY!!! Coffee Crazies go here for a reason... Please post a roasting schedule so myself & other crazies know when to buy the freshly roasted beans!

Svatava Petkova

The prettiest Bridgehead in Ottawa (judging based on those I have visited). The bakery is located here and cool to watch the breads being made while drinking coffee. Also delicious fresh pizzas during lunchtime (onion&balsamic is my favourite).

Doug Humphries

Very Efficient and asked every single person weather they were eating in and then asked fro proof of vaccination very happy about that

Alicia Lopez de Ferro

Very nice customer service although the place is a little noisy for me. On the other hand, they have delicious croissants!

Emerald Meadows

It's just ok coffee

Daniel Laprise

Best coffee in the city. Any location you will be pleased with their products and I'm happy you can now order using the Ritual app. No more waiting in line if you're in a hurry! BRAVO

Ian Leslie

Bridgehead is a great coffee shop. The Roastery has added interest of seeing the coffee beans being processed.

Guy Warwick (ForestRanger)

Great coffee, but remember this is a working roastery so be prepared for the ambient noise level

Annie G.

As a vegan it is very difficult to be able to have options in a cafe that is not labeld as being particularly vegan. I was pleasently surprised by my options and it was very good (espacially the quinoa/sweet patato wrap). The only thing I really have to complain about is the noise from the factory in the background makes it impossible to focus without earphones and that the scenery is not very cafeish. I would go back for the food but not to stay and study or chat with a friend.

Martin Charette

I enjoy the coffee so much at this place. They have different ones depending on what is being produced in the different countries and places they go. I have enjoyed all their single origins so I trust their tasters to pleasantly surprise me.

Fermin Quant

Very nice place. Coffee is very good. Here is where they roast the coffee beans and also where bread is prepared for other branches, so you can see and smell the process while enjoying your drink.

Anish Babu Bharatha

Great little coffee shop. Lovely ambience. Spacious and open seating both inside and outside. Loved their confections. Recommended visit ????

Steve Sauve

Items are a bit pricey but once in a while its ok to enjoy their products. Perhaps lower pricing would make me stop in more

Ryan Adelson

I really like this location. I believe it's the main one. They roast the beans on site which is pretty neat. Wide variety of breads, sandwiches, and deserts.

Craig Carey

Great coffee and good venue - but not a huge amount of seating to match how busy these guys get. Knowledgeable staff and great food too!

Robert Ramsay

Great service and good coffee. Medium roasts tend to have more flavour that the darks.

William Wilson

Ottawa's best coffee? Be warned: if you try the pour over coffee, you may never drink coffee any other way again. It's that good.

Jason Hodgert

Bridgehead is always good. Tris location has a wider variety of foodstuffs and the roastery smells great. Not ideal for a quiet meet though since the roasting operations are quite noisy

Alex Le

Lost my wallet and I as found by the staff, Jack. Gave 50 bucks to thank him but he didn’t take it. In the end, I bought his favourite latte as a gratitude

Alix Vezina

Great coffee and ambiance. Quite loud with all the coffee machines and roasting machines, but thought it’s quite cool. Pastries were ok, got a croissant and didn’t taste very fresh. Would go back for coffee and do some work.

David D Pistol

Love the smell of coffee being roasted and bread being made, staff are warm and welcoming I enjoy their souls and coffee.

Kevin S

Good place to grab a cup of joe however I would avoid it if you are trying to conversate or do work. It's a very loud environment and you can barely hear yourself think. You can take it outside if the weather is good but I would recommend going elsewhere if you are looking for a cozy spot to study or talk.

Andrew McDonald

Stopped here to grab some coffee for my father. I was able to get online to grab some important information while he got his fix. A nice location for the coffee shop while in the area.

Moe “Captain Number Cruncher” Tabesh

Best aroma coffee in Ottawa and excellent staff. If you like to watch coffee getting roasted definitely have a trip to this place. This is the central location for all the roasting in Ottawa.

Shabornee Dasgupta

Great coffee and service. The atmosphere is industrial but cozy. Nice to get work done

John Forsythe

Busy (can be hard to find a seat) and noisy (particularly when roasting) compared to their other locations. Still, the coffee is great and the food better than you'd expect.

Dino Cule

Local beer, great coffee that is roasted at this location, and a cool environment. Sometimes tricky to find seating, but worth the effort.

Ania Bula

I'm not the biggest bridgehead fan but I liked the displays, the pastries look amazing, and you can see all the roasting machines.

Conrad Hutter

Great coffee and smelled wonderful at this location. This was my first time checking out the main location and I wish I saw this sooner. You can watch fresh loaves baking while enjoying a rich espresso. This however does not help the wallet as you get hungry quickly.

Scott Keirstead

Love the Ottawa-based brand and their roastery off Preston is an awesome place. Amazing coffee and treats as usual, with added bonus of being in the place the beans are roasted and the production happens. Love the tours provided and the newly added beer and wine on tap for evenings is amazing. Seeking the trend in Ottawa.

Richelle Chouinard

Love to sit in here with a latte and treat. Great service, delicious drinks and food. Busy at times but have always found a seat

Sam Cowan

Great food, great coffee, great BEER! Really cool to watch the coffee beans get roasted too. Would recommend for a quiet place to hang.

abby

I'm from Toronto and I use coffeeshops primarily as a study space but also to get a feel for the community. I was recommended this spot once I started school here, and I absolutely love it. I got a solid 3 hours studying and it was great. Also love the giant brewing stations and the diverse mix of customers. The baristas were also so kind and sweet and different. The price is a bit high but you're paying for quality bean so I can't complain TL;DR: This Bridgehead location is great. Highly recommend for its atmosphere.

Michael S

Coffee and breakfast wrap were absolutely delicious. It's a shame that I wasn't able to eat inside due to COVID restrictions because the decor created such a caffeine inspired atmosphere.

Frank Mouawad

Delicious fair trade coffee, roasted on location. They also have a good fare of snacks and store made kombucha. Friendly staff and a very comfortable atmosphere.

Bryce MacDonald

Coffee Review for Sumatran Dark Roast. I've been trying to find a Sumatran Dark roast that I really like, and I've settled on this one. It has the flavour I've been looking for in a Sumatran Dark roast. It's not too dark, though, but the flavour is good. The place puts the roasting date on their coffee bags. They roast quite frequently. I usually do a pour-over or French press, and I see lots of oxygen coming out of these beans, which shows that it's very fresh. Sometimes, you have to check ahead to see what the most recent roasting date is for a certain coffee.

Nick Dymond

Excellent coffee at the chains head office and Roastery. Very cool atmosphere, if a little noisy.

Katy Watts

I ordered a 'pour over' and instantly got.attitude from the cashier. She commented, 'I literally have another one for you.,' to the barista who was making an earlier order. I suppose it's a tedious thing to make, but I didn't expect to feel bad for ordering it. I won't return to this location again.

Jennifer Desnoyers

As a small cafe owner, coffee and food go hand in hand and we wanted the best coffee with the best vibes! Grateful to be offering up Bridgehhead coffee in my small town of Cornwall, ON

red red

Place is a little overcome by noise pollution. We ended up relocating to outside (which fixed the problem ) However there is a wide selection, very fresh and delicious. Staff us friendly , espresso was a tad bitter. Don't know if it was the beans or the machine :)

Ben Myers

Really cool place to grab a coffee. Unique seating and the interior is interesting with all the roasting machinery nearby.

Jimena Canavesi

They had a very nice surrounding & the coffee was good too. I liked the place.

Julie St-Louis

Absolutly love the microphone and speaker. As an hearing impared person, this is just the best!

Dwayne King

It can be loud when they're actually roasting the coffee but being able to watch just adds to the atmosphere :)

Bilal H

Great place. One star off for selling out to second cup. But this is one of the cooler locations

George Semple

Good coffee as always. This particular location is in very nicely laid out inside. Lots.of space.

Tim Inglis

This is where one of the best coffee chains in Ottawa roasts its beans. Basically it's a coffee shop. But it has a particular flair that makes it a cool place to hang out and have a coffee. Not huge, but often not too busy.

Chris Lee

Main Bridgehead location has a unique industrial factory/bakery feel to it. Large coffee bean roasters and pastry ovens dominate the space. High ceilings and open space give it a very airy and spacious feel even though there is not more seating than in an average coffee shop. Great coffee, pastries and friendly staff. Hopefully this place will keep it's unique ambience now that it has been purchased by a larger corporation. Recommended!

Mostapha Bayaa

The smell of coffee from the massive roasters is absolutely amazing. Industrial vibe, and a place that opens later than most coffee shops in the city.

Lynn

I love this place! The coffee is always amazing. The food options are great as well. Staff is usually quite pleasant.

Jin Chong

Great staff. Neat to see the roasters and baking ovens right there on the premises. Try their delicious baked goods.

Derek R.

Nice place... but very small selection and every seat in the place is uncomfortable. Does not feel like they want you staying very long.

Kirsten A

Of all the Bridgehead locations, this is one you can't miss. They roast and package the beans here, and you can see the process as well as watch them prepare bread. It's a bit loud, but worth it.

Steve P

Went here for the coffee tasting and roastery tour. Excellent experience with Ian as our guide. Extremely educational and best tour I've had!

Alex Boyce

Good staff, good service. Unfortunately it's just abit too noisy for me with all the brewing there up too here.

Genevieve Veryard

This location is pretty good -service wise, great staff! There are a couple of things that I don't like about it though: the kombucha, I drink Kombucha for my gut and am not currently eating anything with sugar in it -good thing I asked what was in the Kombucha! They add cane sugar at the end of processing and add carbonation. Also, sometimes the noise is just too much in their. Overall I would go there to get a coffee to take home, but I wouldn't go there to sit and enjoy a relaxing coffee.

Vinh Le

Great place to stop by if you're in the area for some great coffee and snacks. Can be loud during coffee production when you're trying to order but a unique experience to watch it all happen around you. It's pumpkin latte season. Go get yours.

Sol Despres

Really , the best coffee in town, their kombucha is excellent as well, I spilled mine all over the counter once, and the lovely barista made me another without flinching.....awesome. Try the fair trade brownie, it's delicious!

Christopher Flores-Lyons

A local roastery located close to Little Italy and China Town they have roasting demonstrations, fresh coffees, teas, and snacks. The atmosphere is very nice with the fresh smell of coffee, light music and warm lighting. They have many places to sit so it's never hard to find a seat however I couldn't find a plug for my laptop when I was working there and had to leave when I drained my battery.

Jonathan Jones

Best coffee in Ottawa, and a good selection of cakes, pastries and other food. Enjoy them while surrounded by the machinery of coffee roasting and preparation.

Vy Do

Such a cool coffee. If you love smelling fresh patisseries like I do while work on your computer, definitely should check this place out!!

Matthew Malice

Comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Great alternative to large corporate coffee shops. Wifi was free and fast!

Bergen Family

Friendly and casual vibe, lots of space and friendly staff. The usual bridgehouse service. Seems to have a bakery connected directly to the shop. Overall chill place to study. Can get loud at times.

Paul Jackson

Only in Ottawa could a coffee shop reach such a height of commercial success while selling mediocre coffee for the price of great coffee.

D. Lamontagne

Love these guys so much !! We’ve had a coffee subscription for a year and a half, and they always deliver the freshest beans they have to our door. They offer personalized service, with personal notes and cards. The beans make delicious coffee. Their espresso blend is perfectly balanced. Thanks for being there !! ????

Giorgio Huawei

One of the best Bridgehead's. Good coffee, average pastries. Unfortunately sold out to Second (rate) Cup so nowhere to go but down. Fortunately there are an increasing number of excellent independent coffee shops which is where I'll probably spend most of my coffee money :)

S G

Great coffee, good food, and super staff. They do a lot of baking here with loud equipment, which makes for terrific background/white noise, but you will probably have to go outside to make a phone call. Can get very busy and run out of chairs.

Gaby

Really good coffee! This particular location is outstanding.

Rav

Absolutely love this location. The factory space is original, with lofty high ceilings. The barista hot drinks are delicious. The bakery has fresh flaky croissants, moist chocolate cake and soft chocolate chip & peanut butter cookies.

Ian Tan

Local company and it's nice to see the coffee bean roasting inside. A bit noisy inside though because of the roaster.

John Veitch

Americanos were amazing, really enjoyed that paired with a ham and gruyere croissant. So tasty, will be a regular now, very impressed with the quality and service. Staff is incredibly good at what they do. My other half enjoyed the morning cinnamon bun also, very tasty.

Kathleen G

Staff are incredibly rude and condescending. Way overpriced given the quality of both the coffee and customer service.

Jacob Hawthorne

I was here visiting with some friends from the U.S, we happened to be passing by and decided to stop in for a refreshing beverage. We were surprised to see a man storming up and down the road screaming on his cell phone using very profane language in front of our children.... the most surprising part is when he entered the building and went into the back! he was an employee!!! We asked the cashier why they tolerate this type of behaviour and we could immediately tell she felt uncomfortable and embarrassed. We asked for his name and told her we would not make a complaint on-site but would write a review as to not create any further conflict. Mitchell, we hope you learn to conduct yourself in a more professional manner while in front of customers and at a place of business. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT

Zer Serd

Best coffee in town! I love the ambiance and atmosphere at the main location. Try their coffee tours, very informative.

Scott Burton

Very pleasant atmosphere with all COVID precautions in place. Fast and friendly service too!

Jacob Kimbrell

great coffee, it's too bad their delivery driver Mitchell is aggressive and rude. We look forward to the coffee but could really do without the angry delivery guy...

Erin Ievers

High ceilings and lots of people not as cosy a feeling as you get from most coffee shops. It is an open concept roastery and shop so that adds to the atmosphere. Excellent coffee, some of the best in town. Good food as well although a little pricey all told.

Ibrahim Abaza

Very nice coffee, but the coffee was getting ground in the same area, and the sound of that big machine was deafening, very hard to maintain a conversation, or to even relax.

Jason S.

Some of the freshest coffee I've ever tasted. Given that it is roasted right there, that shouldn't be surprising. Atmosphere is nice, with a variety of comfortable seating that is suitable for either work if leisure. It also has nice patio space in front if one wishes to sit outside in warmer months. My only compliant is that it is a tad noisy, namely because this location is more than just a retail outlet. Rather, it is also where coffee beans are roasted and goods are baked for all the Bridgehead locations in the Ottawa region. That said, it is all done within an open concept design which provides a cool backdrop to sit and watch while sipping your coffee. All and all this place is a fantastic asset to the nieghborhood.

Kev

Low-key location in a small side street. But very nice chill vibes with great tasting coffee. Price is on the higher side but no complaints.

Jon Earle

Overrated. Dreadful coffee (worse than Tim's) and overpriced. Go to McDonald's for your fix, or Second Cup, Starbucks or almost anywhere else if you are looking for a decent, drinkable cupajoe. Simply Biscotti on Colonnade (and I assume the one on Preston) have amazing coffee (not an employee, just a satisfied customer). If you really want to sample this tainted excuse for coffee, just go to Walmart, grab a cheap can of Folgers, open it and leave it out for a couple of days and you're all set for the perfect experience! Staff were quite nice, though I think I spotted a few competitor's drinks in the back. ;) I'm sure their treats are fine (I try to avoid that stuff), but, do yourself a favour and do not go there for the java.

Michel Boisvenue

This is their corporate location that supplies all other bridgehead locations for coffee and bakery. Huge location with plenty seating, knowledgeable and friendly staff. A go to location for sure.

jamie

Super friendly staff and the washrooms are open to customers! That's rare these days

Tigress

It is quite an experience to walk through these doors. This is the coffee version of The 3 Brewers (Les 3 Brasseurs). The store is a little bit darker than the other locations scattered around the city. This is in part due to its massive size that houses all the roasting equipment. The tables and parking are limited, yet we have managed to always find a spot to sit and park. We really like this site due to all the interesting people frequenting this particular spot. The Breakfast sandwiches are excellent as are the Cappuccino and Americano. The pastries are always fresh, as are their breads. This is the first locale that we were able to bring home some of their freshly baked breads. I have noticed that they do have a recipe section, that looks very intriguing, online. I can hardly wait to try the Bruschetta recipe with some of their, freshly baked, Lemon Olive Semolina loaf. Bridgehead is the first coffee company, in Canada, to provide fair trade coffee to its customers. This is something worth celebrating and supporting. It makes one proud to be Canadian.

Connie White

Very cool place. Nice to see how and where the coffee is roasted and then get to enjoy a cup

Terry Hughes

Best coffee in Ottawa for my taste. Only coffee shop with an extra large (4 shots!) and extra hot lattes. Good toast & cookies too.

Bean Ottawa

One of those tricky to locate but great place. Very roomy, great selection. Excellent staff and service. Relaxing atmosphere. Limited parking.

Betsy Vazquez Monroy

This coffee place is between small and medium size. I am not fan of this franchise but that's just me. If you live around the area, it is a decent spot to hang out for 30 mins up to an hour.

Michelle Lee

Great roastery! Pretty spacious with lots of tables and seats to dine in. The scones, wraps, and drinks were delicious. Friendly staffs!

Alexandria Givens

Awesome place, but very loud since it's the roasting house. It's great for me because the sound helps me concentrate.

Jon Allan

If your going to grab a coffee, why not where they produce it/roast it. Very loud, no nice date spot here...but amazing venue.

Nathan Fleming

Awesome atmosphere and coffee. Everyone would/should enjoy. If not there is something wrong with you...or you just don't like coffee.

J B

Great place for relaxing with delicious coffee with a little WiFi. Enjoyed the jalapeno and cheese scone too. This particular location is the main bakery so there was delicious baking croissant smell too, although we didn't end up trying one.

Marie K

Great option of coffee! Their oat milk coffee latte and i added pumps of vanilla, was so good! Will come back for sure! #drinkwithlocals

Opens at 7 which is great for an early coffee stop after a bike ride. Great seating outside and warm atmosphere inside.

Met with clients at this location. First off- it is a very clear place. The quality of the coffee and snacks are more than you would expect. Staff are happy to make suggestions if you are not sure what you would like to have. Take that suggestion as it will be a great experience. Pricing is more than reasonable for the high-quality product received. For those of us who like to linger, or meet with clients, there is absolutely no pressure to continue purchasing or move along like you find at other locations.

So many single people go there to use the Wi-Fi that there is not enough room for 10 people to have coffee altogethera lot of people going there for just the y5 on the coffee not giving up space for a larger crowd

Like this location of Preston St. High chair available. Lounge or table seating. Patio in the shade in the morning. Big coffee roasting machine entertains kiddies. If they had a little kids corner would be even better (chalk board or something). Clean bathroom with change table.

Great athmosphere. Great coffee. Stress free area. I wish the chain existed in Toronto...

Excellent coffee for those who like fresh roasted flavor, had the flat white on the strong side of coffee . Flavor is great , nice flavors from the roasting process . Clean and very chic, busy at times.

Nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea (tea in a cup or pot for the same price), baked pastries and sandwiches. Free Wi-Fi.

Sometimes the coffee (latte) is good. Other times it has either tasted like it was just steamed milk or it tasted very off. Same with avocado toast... they can make it fresh if you ask but usually they make avocado spread out of many avocados which is kept refrigerated ( for hours sometimes) . There were times when it was full of brown bits (the avocado used is overripe) or they put way too much lemon juice.

Very nice coffee shop to enjoy a cup of coffee and the staff are very friendly. One thing that does bug me about all the Bridgeheads, is the fact that they do not have any SANITIZARS outside any of their washrooms. That's is a must have in any establishment.
