Spotted this place a month ago and finally got a chance to visit. I had the white tea and also had a chance to taste the bread. I especially liked the one with the "secret" sauce. Relaxing and inviting and as an added extra...books! Looking forward to going back and tasting more of the menu.

Amazing food and lovely atmosphere. My husband, daughter and I came for a breakfast bite and we loved what we had! My husband opted for the Shock Dose and he got his with a bit of kick (jalepenos or some sort of pepper). My daughter and I opted for an Eggy and a Jam-Jam to share. All of us were so happy with our choices! Plenty to eat and I didn't even start with the drinks! My hubby had a iced latte, I had a vanilla chai with a sugar stick and my daughter got a strawberry milk. All were delicious and filling! We'll definitely come back.... Oh! And their library selection is amazing! Bring a book to trade a book! So many great author choices!

I went this Sunday with my husband to try this place out. I’m excited that there is actually a coffee shop within walking distance of our house now! First, the interior of the place is stunning, just gorgeous. My husband had the breakfast, I had the jam jam pan-bread. He loved his dish - eggs, tomatoes, onion all scrambled with hot sauce and a pan-bread on the side. Mine had cream cheese and jam, and I could tell from the first bite, that the jam was also homemade as it was delicious! But, the thing that I loved the most is the coffee with the ice cream. I’ve never had anything like that before, and it’s my new favourite drink. We will be going back next weekend and more to come, as I have to work my way down the menu, there are so many things to try. I highly recommend!

An absolute must try. 3Cents2 is the rare gemstone on Bank. Don’t let the location stop you from visiting. You’re in for a clean and inviting atmosphere that is a step above your average coffee shop. The middle east south Asia inspired breakfast, was amazing in portion, presentation and quality ingredients. It was good to feel fed and happy. Our family was treated with consistent quality service the entire time. -Nespresso coffee was served with a small chocolate and milk warm(or cold if we wanted). -Amazing pan-bread. -Clean well lit decor, with just the right amount of middle east and Canadian flare. Great little coffee shop. Service, food and drinks were excellent. The drink in the photo is an affogato (ice cream with a shot of espresso) - I highly recommend that if you've never had it. They obviously spent a lot of time paying attention to every little detail in the decor - there are hundreds of books in unorthodox slanted shelves, cushioned seating with low tables in a Middle Eastern style, even thick ropes mostly hiding the overhead ventilation and wiring.

The owner was so nice. He explained the entire menu to us and seemed genuinely excited to be there. The pan bread was phenomenal, we tired the cinnamon and maple. Would be interested in trying the savoury ones, such as cheese. The coffee is Nespresso, and the tea is from Bigelow. Both are high quality. A hidden gem in Ottawa South! Lovely staff, delicious sweet and savoury pan breads, tasty beverages, a book-borrowing shelf and comfortable, unique seating. On top of that, they offer free WiFi! I ordered a latte and a pan bread and jam and cream cheese. I also tried a coffee wtih soft serve in it, which was an amazing summer treat! It's brand new. It's clean. The bathrooms are the CLEANEST I have ever seen. The toilets have a bidet shower included. We tried this place out after a friend recommended it. It was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the service was good, and the food delicious. One of us had the Cheesy and the other the Eggy. Later we shared the Jam Jam with coffee. The price was very inexpensive given the quality of the food and the experience. There is a fair selection of books available to read while relaxing over a coffee and snacks. If you're in the South Keys area or the southern part of Bank street this is worth checking out

1. Food is amazing, fresh and a great change from the usual fare in the area. I would even recommend coming here if you don’t live in the area. Definitely worth trying if you haven’t yet. Easily my best meal all week in terms of taste/health. 2. Service was pleasant and speedy (though to be fair it was a relatively quiet time of day when I attended). 3. Environment was nice - great lighting, tasteful vcl flooring, walls immaculately white, acoustics seemed decent where I was sitting, volume of music was not abusively loud. Cooking area looks spotless and well maintained. I imagine the washroom is as spotless as this place is. Fellow behind the counter even took the time (at my request) to explain to me how it is normally eaten. Only “could improve”s are: 1. Portion sizes were a bit small for the price, but I can see other people being satisfied with this amount so less waste this way. Maybe have options for more/less? 2. Cups look biodegradable but if they are the only disposal options are garbage and recycling. The utensils look plastic. TL;DR: go. Don’t regret it. Maybe bring your own teacup if you care about that sort of thing. You don’t need utensils to eat the food I think. Edit: anyone giving this place a one star review is a lunatic.

I've been meaning to come here for the longest and I only wish I came sooner and live closer. The gentleman who served us is a very nice and kind person. The food was freshly prepared and delicious! The classic white tea with the sugar stick was a sweet treat and a comfort of home. The decor is beautiful and they offer a huge variety of books to enjoy while there and for those concerned with price, everything is well and fairly priced. Great value. You won't regret visiting this place.

I truly want to give this business a 5-star rating and support our local businesses, but I also have to be honest about my visit because my experience was extremely poor at this location in December. I really want to be able to write a good review for these hard-working people, so I will order some food again today to give this business another chance (as I do want to support our small businesses, but I have to be honest about my initial experience as well). I had been wanting to visit 3Cents2 Pan-Bread & Coffee shop since back when they opened up, and it was conveniently located next to my dentist’s office, so I decided to finally pay a visit after a long time of wanting to do so. I initially went inside just to see what the atmosphere would be like with no intention to buy (because my dentist did not allow me to eat for the next few hours), but once I got inside I figured I might as well find a small way to contribute and also try something. The dentist told me I couldn’t eat yet, so I asked for something cold to drink. I had the intention of coming again in the future and bringing my family the next time because they had been wanting to try it too. The owner and I greeted each other kindly, and he was friendly up until I asked “is everything halal?” (As this is a question I tend to ask every restaurant before ordering — it is not meant to offend anyone, it is just for my confirmation and so that I can let family and friends know for their knowledge too). The owner got visibly upset, disappointed, and annoyed by my question and said “What do you think? Of course we are halal, I am Muslim too, can’t you see?” — although I understand and respect that, the owner should know that the definition of what is “halal” or permissible to eat tends to be different depending on who you are talking to. I told him I had only stopped by to see what the restaurant was like and to see all of their options so that I can bring my family in next time & that I didn’t intend on buying today, but I would next time. He seemed ok with that and let me take time to read the menu. Although I wasn’t allowed to eat after my dental procedure, I decided to order a milkshake to support the business in the very little way that I could. I asked for one flavour, the owner didn’t have it, I asked for a second flavour, he didn’t have that either, so I finally let him decide for me & told him to give me what he has then. He chose Oreo (I like Oreo so I thought that would be great). His ice cream machine wasn’t working, but he continued to make the “milkshake” anyways. I felt cheated/played. I understand if the machine isn’t working, but I was asked to pay for watery Oreo milk when in fact the owner should have taken it upon himself to let me know that he couldn’t make it or offer me something else that I could buy instead. I understand that restaurants are struggling, but where I work (for example), if I cannot provide customers what they asked for or if it turns out to be defective, I will not sell it to them because that is not what they asked/paid for — I would offer them a different product instead or explain why it is defective. It is not kind of the owner to do that and unprofessional. I am giving this place another chance as I would have loved to try their food, but the last bad experience threw my family and I off from going there for months. Inshaa Allah I hope this experience will be better, as I love supporting our local businesses. We ordered the liver with pan-bread and a few other things. I will update soon! :)

What a fun place! My colleague and I went to this new coffee shop for a quick caffeine fix, and found much more. The latte I had was great, as was his Chai Tea. The real treat was the pan-bread. They have lots of different types to choose from. Whether you're looking for a quick bite to eat, or a nice dessert, the pan-bread they make is really very good. I tried the Maple flavour first, and it was out of this world. I really enjoyed the crispness of the pan-bread matched with the sweet of the syrup. I also had the opportunity to try the chocolate pan-bread which is oh so very good. If you enjoy beaver tails, you'll love this dessert. Match all this with a clean, warm atmosphere, and friendly service, and you've got a winner. If you're looking for a new place to try out, this place is definitely worth a try.

Honestly food wasn’t good and the prices you pay are way too high for the amount they serve, they’re not welcoming for at least first time customers, they don’t even bother to serve you to the table while it wasn’t even busy when we went there. The restaurant’s vibe is and decoration is good, but yet I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone as no one is looking for just the vibe, but the quality, service and prices which they obviously lack. Never going back.

Stumbled upon this place by coincidence and boy was I pleased to find it!! I ordered fool medammes (cooked beans) and chai karak and both were just fantastic. The flat bread they served with the fool was fresh and delicious, and the karak was just the right balance of sweet. The 2 guys working in there were very pleasant and the atmosphere inside was nice. They were slightly expensive ($20 for fool and 2 karak) but considering the quality I'd still eat there again.
