This Coffee Shop is included in the category of Coffee roasters.
A hidden gem. Large open sitting, tasteful decorated. Friendly services and amazing coffee, what’s more to ask.
I'm reluctant to tell anyone about this place because I'm there at least 4 days a week. They are a coffee roaster so your coffee can't get any fresher. Their baked goods are made on site. It's a large space with library like tables that are perfect for a remote office. In nice weather the doors roll-up. It's a big space but fills up quickly and stays that way all day. It's my office and favorite cafe all in one.
Great place to grab a coffee and do some work. It's a really bright and open space, and is tucked away from the main drag. The staff are nice and they have lots of yummy food, too. Highly recommended!
If you need somewhere to work for the day, this is the spot; coffee is amazing, food is fantastic (st.patty’s day they made lucky charm donuts), and the music is just up beat enough to get you working hard; overall it’s my favourite spot to get work done outside of work! Hours make it a little tight for outside of 9-5 but hey, we shouldn’t work past then anyway! Pro tip - get lunch quick cause the sandwiches fly!
A gem, we need more places like this. Great coffee, great service, good prices, Atmosphere is amazing. I really recommend it.
The beans are amazing - Rivet is my personal favourite. Next day delivery is top notch too!
I'm only speaking about their online experience but it really over delivered. I wanted craft quality beans and these guys trekked the product over the NEXT DAY. I literally put in an order for two bags of beans the night before and it came this afternoon. Less than 24h. The heck. They might hold the record for getting beans to Mt Everest if they ever thunk of expanding their business. Now I'm really looking forward to trying their roasts, who cares if I've reached my quota. Also super pscyhed to visit their brick/mortar location now. ????????
They make some of my favourite coffee in the city. This location is big with lots of space and great vibe. Coffee and snacks are fantastic. Service is great!
Raspberry lemon curd pastry with rosemary! !! Resinous savory with acid of curd Single origin Congo roasted three days ago Medium first crack
Great coffee, with a large private meeting room. More-than-ample seating in the common area, good place to get some work or studying done. The available sandwiches are good, though if you want something fresh you may be disappointed.
Genuinely care about each customer! A little hiccup with the coffee subscription software and they apologized, hand delivered the coffee next day, and threw in some cold brew! Not only is their coffee great and sustainable but they're so nice. Definitely deserves all of your business :)
Great looking venue that has a lot of natural lighting and a nice clean feel. Projector and sound system is available for your event. Audio is transferred via HDMI to the main amplifiers on the other side of the building so you can't decouple the video and audio streams. A work around is required.
I love the selection and quality of the baked goods here. Original tartlets and cookies, definitely stand out as compared to many other coffee shops. Great coffee, friendly staff and a lot of space.
Good selection of coffee! Really chill environment with plenty of seating. I had the Kenya pour over, not bad. The only thing I wish they had on their menu is tasting flights. Since the location is also the roastery would be nice to taste a selection of coffee beans before buying a bag.
Propeller is a wonderful place to be 'Propelled' into your day with a delicious coffee! Perfect roast , good selection , and really nice ambiance in their big 'Light …
Helped out with a wedding here. The staff were absolutely amazing! Stephen is an absolute joy to work with. The venue is rustic and easily accessible.
Cozy atmosphere, free wifi, very good coffee, ideal for working or reading on your own or with a group. Not too easy to reach (I found it by chance) and not great view from the big glass window. Overall recommended!
This is a neat little joint. It looks like an old warehouse turned café. Propeller staff are very personable, and the whole café is very open, clean, and full of light. Great prices and a super low-key location earns the 5 stars. Will definitely frequent.
Good cappucino. Not selling pastries during the lockdown.
Propeller is okay. It's a hard to find the location. Coffee wise, I wasn't able to delve to deeply into the product It's hard to find, or walk into spontaneously so unless I make an honest effort to try the coffee, it's hard for me to enjoy
Interesting atmosphere but a little to high on their horse about their coffee... and on top of that the only sweetener option they have is highly-refined, white sugar... spend 10 minutes waiting for a purported perfectly brewed cup, then have to add that...
Service is good, staff is super friendly. Space is pretty good. The coffee feels "try hard" taste very strange, I like good coffee but this feels like what every craft brewery is doing but with coffee. Trying so hard to be different they loose sight of the basic things.
Great spot with good coffee and a great space to work from (when we aren’t in lock down!). They have the huskee cup program, are a b corp and will use your own mug, if you bring it…so bring your own cup and don’t be part of the trash problem ;)
Love this place. Very open, many plugs near the walls of I think 4 of the 6 large tables, and good mood. Great mocha and friendly service from the baristas, good atmosphere to get some work done with free wifi. It is very popular though so try to get there early!
Things I love about working at this coffee shop: ✔️ great coffee ☕️ ✔️ wifi ✔️ power outlets ✔️ lots of space ✔️ soft conversations, to show respect for others who use this space to work/ read ➕Bonus: they have a few garage doors along the wall. These doors are opened in the summer, letting in the brilliant sun for customers to enjoy ☀️
Picked up a bag of Burundi Kibingo beans. This a medium roast single origin coffee with a fruity taste. I recommend it.
The best cafe in terms of decor and space. Also to go along with it, they have amazing coffee and friendly staff. Get some little snack and stay awhile! They even have free parking!
the following is a review for 87 Wade Avenue; I LOVE MATT CURRIE I LOVE HIM SO MUCH I HATE MATT CURRIE I HATE HIM SO MUCH I guess you could say…. it’s complicated
As someone who works from home, this place feels like the perfect switch when I feel like working around other people. It's spacious and busy with other working people. The best part is the incredibly nice staff that make this place feel like second home.
No pour-over available on the day (Sunday afternoon) I visited. The drip coffee was not exactly inspiring. Some beans on shelves were roasted more than three weeks ago. But this spacious gem in an industrial area provides a great, co-working space vibe to people who prefer to spend hours working on their laptops. High ceiling is a big plus and its music choice never fails :)
My partner and I held our wedding at Propeller Coffee and we couldn't have been more pleased. The space is super cool and the staff are fantastic. Special shout-outs to Kristi (our main contact throughout the planning process) and Jen (the event supervisor day-of). Also - the preferred caterers were fantastic and we never felt pressured to spend more $$ than we intended. Kristi was responsive to all of our questions and also shared lots of candid information based on her experience hosting other events in the space. She also went above and beyond to help one of my guests (who was attending from out-of-town with a 8 month old baby) find a space to set-up a sleeping zone in one of the adjacent spaces. Jen was an incredible event supervisor. Not only was she present and available for our many questions and requests, she was proactive, calm and helpful. We had two hours to prepare for the wedding with a lot of decorations to set up; at times it was a bit frantic. Jen was able to calmly support us while still being efficient and effective. She was invaluable; Propeller Coffee is lucky to have her. All around I would highly recommend Propeller Coffee Co. as an event space to anyone looking for a unique venue in the city. ALSO - their coffee is SO GOOD.
Place was rad! Good amount of seating and very spacious. Coffee was probably some of the best in the city. If only there were more throughout Toronto. Good options for coffee and friendly baristas. Had the privilege to talk to their roaster and get more insight to their company. If you're just visiting or a local, please support these guys! They're going a great job and have so much passion for coffee and community. Everything is reasonably priced and I got a Tanzania pour over along with some Burundi beans. Pour over was made on a Kalita Wave and came out clean, rather tea like with notes of cocao, peach/raspberry, and a grapefruit/citrus finish. Solid cup!
Great space, nice staff, amazing coffee Ok, it's in the middle of nowhere even though it's really close to the subway. What a gorgeous huge space! I have seen online that a lot of community events are hosted here. I love coffee but travel so much I never have time to enjoy it. Staff took the time to help me understand the difference in the many methods they can prepare it here (drop, espresso, pour-over, clover). Straight up I had one of the best cups of coffee in recent memory. Perfect place to meet people to work on a project, host events or just get together.
Good spot, very hidden away In what is otherwise a fairly depressed neighborhood. Service is good, lots of seating space available. However even on mid day weekdays it is close to capacity with people doing their work. I can't comment on the coffee itself as I don't drink coffee, but the hot chocolate was excellent! The space here can also be used for small events.
Propeller is a great, tucked away spot that was quite busy pre-covid. They have a walk through window for ordering now, which includes purchasing beans... Unfortunately the staff I had take my order didn't get it correct - ordered 2 bags of the lightest/blondes roast the had in full bean and instead got the darkest ????????♂️ Didn't notice until I got home, but I can gift this instead. Better luck next time
Great atmosphere. Comfortable layout. Coffee is a bit lack luster but their food is great.
Very spacious, bright, minimalistically designed coffee shop. It was my first time visiting. Great study spot. Free parking available. Staff can be friendlier. Overall great place. I will visit again.
I love this place and it’s coffee! On top of all of that, the people who own and operate are the kindest people you will ever meet. I can not recommend this place and their coffee more highly!
Pretty tasty coffee, bought some beans too but haven’t tried those at home yet. I liked the long tables for working and the atmosphere was quiet but friendly. Seems like a good place to get some light work done!
Can I not give more than 5 stars? Damn! The staff are so friendly and welcoming (very Canadian)! Great work space with chilled out music that isn't so loud that it's invasive. Great atmosphere, great coffee, consistently good free Wi-Fi, great ranges of dairy free milk options and gluten free baked goods. It was my first visit but I'll definitely be returning! Keep up the excellent work Propeller, you're a hidden gem! ♥
Ahh, Propeller! You're super cute and I love the vibes you have but why the heck do you only serve a lemon-flavoured coffee on drip? Or maybe I've just had bad luck. The past two times I've gone (on a Saturday), that's been the only thing "on tap". It confuses me (and my partner) why you don't have your dark roast (or another classic brew) a-flowin' alongside a specialty-flavoured one. I'm sure some people love it but it just ain't for us. I asked if I could do a dark roast pour-over but that was also unavailable. I just want me a dark roast :'( I've tried your Americano but didn't love it either. I'll try one more time (third time's a charm?) but otherwise I'll have to bring my business elsewhere which saddens me because I want to love you!
Beautiful coffee shop, great place for locals to go and work or meet with friends. Coffee is also fantastic and the beans are roasted on site.
I love Propeller. The coffee is great, and the space is open, bright, and welcoming. Compared to other great cafes in Toronto, the staff here is nice, but ambivalent, so if making a great connection with staff is an important part of your experience, you won't find it here. I'm a regular but don't at all feel like one. (Fellow regular customers treat me more like a regular than the staff do!)
Popular among freelancers and students keen to avoid the library while studying, the venue features some fine coffee and rocket fast internet. It’s also a venue for parties and corporate events at night. Note it is in a rather run down part of Toronto.
Love this place! We had our wedding here and it could not have been a more perfect venue. Kristi, the Events Director, was also incredible to work with. Would definitely recommend this place for any event. They also have great coffee.
Great coffee and the space is amazing. Bought coffee there and beans to take home. Really great stuff. Looking forward to seeing how the surrounding area progresses over the years.
Beautiful venue for a wedding! On a nice summer night with the garage doors open it was full of light, clean and airy.
Good coffee, good atmosphere, free WiFi. This business is committed to sustainability, which I can see in their use of renewable energy and biodegradable packaging. Great tasting coffee makes it my current favourite, too!
Turns out Propeller is just two minutes from Lansdowne in an old industrial building! I had always enjoyed their beans at various coffee shops around Toronto but had never been to the source. The interior is industrial chic, high ceilings, concrete and wood, and is set up with plenty of communal seating. Delicious coffee and pastries, of course!
Great atmosphere and music. The layout is nice and open with huge windows and a big opening to let natural light and air in. The coffee was good and they offer treats that are baked in-house. The location is great because it is a little bit hidden and away from the noise and traffic of Bloor and Lansdowne.
Great coffee and great atmosphere. Very open space with big tables. Would be a good place for small wedding reception or events.
Beautiful, spacious, and sunny spot. The tables are long and solid wood. It's mostly quiet and low key. Ideal for working on your readings/writing all day. Whenever I need to buckle down for a deadline, I head on over to Propeller.
Great space and atmosphere. Their coffee however is not on par with other good specialty coffee shops.
Propeller Coffee is one of my favourite cafe space in Toronto. I always feel I am welcome here no matter how busy the location is. Pre-covid times I liked to take my laptop with me, enjoy a cuppa, and work from there. Speaking of which, I find it a great idea to have big tables instead of a lot of individual seating, since this space can be shared - as well as ideas and creativity! The staff is professional staff and flexible when it comes to a more specific order. I often restock my coffee beans for home from Propeller; the selection is huge, and they can always recommend something new/exciting worth to try.
great coffee, great service but can we get some better morning hours ?? Update: hours are better now but what happened to the service quality?
One of the best cups of coffee you'll ever get in the city. Beautiful building with casual hipster ambiance. One of the few places you can still get a cup of Clover coffee.
Awesome coffee spot with a large seating area. You might wonder where you are going at first when you turn off landsdowne but turn the corner and you see the newly renovated spot. They have a large selection of coffees and preparation methods including a clover machine and nitro cold brew.
Very good quality coffee, highly reasonable prices for baked goods, a straightforward and easygoing atmosphere, and a super cool cup recycling program (Huskees). Will absolutely be back.
A good spot in a really nice large space, tucked away on Wade Ave. between railway tracks and old industrial buildings. A bit out of the way because of that, but worth the visit. On Saturday I had an iced Americano that did not disappoint. Really big space with plenty of large tables, so good for meetings / working, if that's your thing.
Modern work-oriented cafe in a cavernous post-industrial building with eight to 10 giant communal rectangular tables and a sea of industrious 20-40 year olds on MacBooks. Occasional convos, but mostly headphone central. Good lattes, and a large selection of house-roasted beans for sale. Decent selection of tasty-looking coffee shop pastries, including butter tarts. A variety of sandwiches available to be heated up. My curry chicken salad on a sourdough baguette was tops. There is a glassed in "tasting room" of some sort where true coffee snobbery takes place. Minus points for turning me away during regular business hours during a snowstorm for a "private event." Probably a good idea to check their Twitter or something due to this possibility.
The staff is very friendly, but I find the drinks a tad overpriced for the size. Espresso tastes like molasses, which is not my ideal coffee flavour. If you like that though then this is the place for you!
Coffee quality is excellent and we purchase all of our beans from them. They also provide incredible customer service as our last order was lost by Purolator and Propeller had it had delivered to our door in a day.
They were once labeled as the best coffee roastery in Toronto which is the reason I went there to try out. I found their beans are less fresh than other competitors and the taste is not really balanced in my opinion.
My go to spot for amazing pour over coffee. Great atmosphere here too and the baristas are very friendly.
The place is open, huge, and full of busy creative people. People would be inspired to do work here since everybody is working with their own thing. No procrastination! Hahaha, and I fell in love with their iced mocha! Would definitely go back when I’m around the area. Oh, speaking of area, the location is isolated! But just a walking distance from the station. ????❤️
Oh this place knows their stuff when it comes to coffee. So much variety to try. If u want good acidity in ur coffee there are some amazing options. They won roasters of the year in 2016 with a few of their blends. Definitely worth goin off the beaten path to try this out. Oh and dont expect low prices for great coffee btw. But if u buy a bag it still comes off cheaper than buyin starbucks everyday or something.
Friendly coffee roaster. Unfortunately because of Covid restrictions could not go in. Bought some bags of coffee and can't wait to try them out. My interaction with the folks was very pleasant. They were definitely helpful inspite of them following all the guidelines very meticulously. In fact I rate them high for just the mere fact that they were respectful and responsible.
Super cool coffee shop. A bit hard to find if you're walking, but it's huge once you're inside. I had a drip coffee (which was great) and a chocolate croissant that was very fresh and delicious! I ended up staying for about 3 hours and got a ton of work done. It is a great environment to work in.
Great staff - very knowledgeable. I see a lot of patrons staying to work - great place to do work or chat with friends. Had a Americano with the Turbo roast - I like how they had an option of 2 different beans for espresso. Great stock of their roasted products on the side. Reasonable price for their beans too. They also host weddings as well.
Delicious coffee in a unique space. Always looking forward to my next visit. Found via Adbeus app.
Quality coffee right here and an awesome place to work/study!
Horrible customer service. Would rate 0/5 if it was possible.
I have only been to this place once but its a wonderful place to do work and enjoy a great cup of coffee or latte. Would highly recommend. Also use their beans at home to make coffee and think the quality is great.
Bright, open atmosphere with lots of space and super-nice staff. The food is excellent as well. I don’t drink coffee but I have a friend who is super picky about it and this is one of his favorite places. A great place to meet up and sit down for a while.
Great out of the way spot with outstanding coffee. Service is good and set up is very conducive to working on your laptop as you will see many doing.
Very happy with the cappuccinos we got here, not my favourite selection of pastries: more on the NA style (muffins, squares, tarts). We will be stopping back in at some point.
Such a great find. #laptop friendly cafe with great selection of sandwiches!! I had turkey one it was delicious ????☕ also flat white with #oatmilk was perfect. I really love the inhouse coffee beans they use its sweet and vanila tones very smooth and easy to drink. Staff are very kind ????❤️ thank you
Coffee is better than most. Sandwhiches are great. Shared tables are a mixed bag. Some people get too neurotic when caffeinated to share the space properly.
Great coffee spot in the Junction area. Their sweets selection is not super large but everything I’ve tried was good. The coffee is very decent and they have a card that you can use to collect points and get free coffee later. They also have free parking which is a bonus!
Wow. This was by far the best cup of coffee I've ever had. At $4.75 for a pour-over cup, it's not cheap, but it was smooth and delicious and soooo perfect. The space is pretty big, with several long, communal tables and a large open area up front by the counter. A great place to come and get work done, although I didn't see many accessible outlets. The chocolate croissant I tried was decadent, and tasted quite fresh. Glad I tried this place, and can't wait to try their espresso!
Attended a wedding here and found the place spacious, and very atmospheric. Made for a wonderful evening and the coffee was great too
I give this place 5 stars because of the open ambience, which is hard to find and makes for a great work environment. More outlets for laptop users would be nice, though, but people there are usually quite friendly and accommodating with the shared table space. Edit: Since leaving this review, they've added wall socket multipliers. Amazing!
Nice big space, good hours, free wifi. Coffee menu is a bit odd - do you want 3oz vs. 5oz of milk? I don't know, can I just order a cappuccino and you decide on the milk quantity? Too much thought required for coffee-ordering. But tasty coffee nonetheless.
Best coffee roaster in the city hands down! Great cafe vibe, service and food. Must visit! ☕❤️
A spacious cafe. Love the lightings and the music.
Spacious and vibrant third wave coffee spot that pairs delicious baked goods with expertly poured coffees. Solid selection of at-home coffee equipment and accessories to go with the selection of their beans for sale.
The best americano I have ever had (aside from in Europe). Really great space, very airy and inviting. The only downside is the food (Sandwiches) are pretty pricey at 8dollars, but they do sound amazing. We shared a pumpkin muffin and it was amazing. I highly recommend this place :)
3.5 stars overall. Service and space is a 4 star experience though! Propeller Coffee is a local coffee roaster and from trying various cafes around Toronto, I've found their single origin bean to be a growing favourite. This particular location is hidden ... you would never think that down a gritty industrial road would have this little gem of a coffee spot. The space itself is a modern loft like space with a nice vaulted ceiling and a large space. It's so large that they rent out this spot for special events including weddings. I've tried to come here twice before only to find it closed early because it was booked for a wedding. Service here was a notable stand out. They have a lot of beans available for purchase. I knew I liked some beans but I had no idea which ones to choose. The barista took the team to come around from counter and helped us figure out which beans best matched the flavour profile I loved. She even explained a bit about the regional bean profile so I could be better exploring more beans if that particular one wasn't exactly what I wanted. This was just really great. Flat White - The pretty latte art adorned a quickly made cup. The price point was very favourable. The bean they used was Ace and it certainly wasn't bad but I found it more acidic than I like. It had a bit of a light body and a fruitier note than I was expecting. To a person who isnt used to espresso based drinks, you may find this a bit more sour than you're used to. Overall, a good solid drink. 3.5/5 We did end up buying Brazil Monte Alto beans and it was much closer to what I liked. So I think next time I'm here, I'll probably try a pour over instead or see if they can grind up some other beans for a flat white!
Grow your coffee bean palette here!! The experts are super warm and kind and really allowed me to ask aLLL the questions...I was educated on the types of beans they have and where they get them. I officially abandoned Starbucks as of yesterday. Thank U folks and s/O to BEAR!
A super great atmosphere with friendly staff The tables are set up in a way that is suitable for both completing a serious job and having a conversation. The mint tea was refreshing and pleasant. Finding a parking spot was a little bit hard, but it is definitely worth to find a place a little bit far. The place has a main are and room surrounded by glasses. Overall it as a bright and happy space.
Absolutely delicious espresso! Got a soy latte and a brownie. Friendly baristas and a chill environment. The decor is modern and plenty of seating but it's usually busy up until closed.
Propeller is a roaster that has a decent selection of consistently good quality and fresh beans available for purchase, as well as a large menu of espresso or coffee based drinks to choose from. The consistency of their espresso based drinks is pretty good, though it sometimes varies between visits. What sets propeller apart for me is the quality of their venue (extremely airy and modern with a lot of character) and the fact that they have a Clover machine which you don't often see outside of select Starbucks. Being able to try different roasts and varietals of beans in it has been great, and I'd the main reason that keeps me coming back. Another bonus is the fact that they have limited parking on their property that always has a space available. And they are located only a couple hundred meters from Lansdowne station, so it's a very easy walk from the subway as well. Check them out.
Great coffee, and a charming space we liked so much that we hosted our wedding reception here! Staff are professional, flexible, and super helpful. Highly recommended
The staff are friendly, the service is amazing and the place is so adorable and cute. It's a hidden jewel within an older area. Took me a bit to find it but when I did it stood out and was beautiful! Definitely making this a regular stop :-)
Have met some of the greatest people there. Extremely knowledgeable about their coffees. I was fortunate enough to do a tasting - what an incredible experience. Truly can’t wait for my next visit.
Amazing Espresso beans from an amazing company ! Very impressed with the freshness of my order, couldn't be happier :)
I’m not from Toronto but found this coffee shop while visiting and it was amazing! Such a cool space and atmosphere and even better drinks and food. Prices were also fair ! I never review places but wanted to review this one! :)
This coffee shop is a wonderful place. Coffee is fantastic. The space is large and they offer free wifi. No wonder it looks like many people makes this place their office!
Cute, friendly, warm, inviting and just the perfect coffee shop in the city. I just love the decor, as it screams Toronto, with it's exposed wood joists, wood tables and industrial feel. I love this place so much so that I'll be getting married here quite soon
I love the crew at Propeller Coffee. Great beans, great food (bring back the Breton Cakes!!), and a fantastic staff. If you want a sweet cold drink, get the affogato shake if they have it! Ice cream and Propeller Espresso shaken together!
It was my first time at Propeller. Funny I say that as I have been living in Toronto all my life!! I am not a coffee expert, and I only have coffee once a day, however I know a good cup of coffee when I drink it. I had the cafe mocca, and it was delicious!! As well the Barista, who made me the coffee was very professional! I loved the atmosphere of the cafe. Simplistic, yet comfortable. I also liked the communal tables. Wi-Fi reception was good! Oh yes the bathrooms were clean and smelled good. In regards to the food, I didn't try the muffins, but they did look healthy. The staff were friendly, and professional. Yes, I will be back again, and will try the muffins.
The best coffee I have ever had! This cafe and coffee roaster is off the beaten path but well with the trip. It is comfortable and bright. The staff is pleasant an knowledgeable. You can even rent the place for an event!
Beautiful spot to enjoy a coffee. Great vibe if you’re meeting a friend, and great workspaces if you are doing work on your laptop. Coffee and snacks are fantastic... A total gem!
Absolutely love this spot - amazing coffee, as to be expected, but the knowledgeable and friendly staff take it to the next level.
Beautiful building and atmosphere. Spacious seating layout. Friendly and down to earth service. Good food and amazing coffee.
Their website advertised the coffee making process as "defect free". We didn't know what this meant but apparently they hand pick out each bean with a defect before roasting. One of the best micro-roasters in the city!
This is my favorite coffee shop in Toronto. They have a beautiful space, the in house baked goods are to die for and the coffee is always delicious. Not only that but they are big supporters of the local community and have kindly sponsored events like the local community clean up on Earth Day and my art Collective's recent Fundraising event. I recommend trying their cortado... best I've ever had!
Amazing spot for studying, so much natural light and the huge tables are very comfortable. The space is absolutely perfect! I usually get an oat latte, which was great as well as their seasonal apple hot cider, although I didn't find their …
I love this place. beautiful space, always smells good and is brightly lit. Not too loud but also lively and fun to be in. The barista Yuri who served me was SO friendly, approachable, and funny. Great coffee, and service was awesome. Best guy. Thanks Propeller, I love coming here!
Amazing coffee and great service. Would definitely recommend!
I cannot recommend this company enough! Supporting Propeller is a wise choice for many reasons - their quality products are not only delicious, but also produced and distributed with attention to sustainability. Also, they are community-focused and truly care about the customer's experience. This was clearly evident at my recent pick-up, where Bear expressed true interest in my coffee experience (ex. what beans I've tried, how I brew), told me where to find more information on the website, and let me know I could reach out if needed. Thank you Propeller and Bear! (Products enjoyed: Turbo, Outbound, and - my fave - Ace espresso)
Great atmosphere. Nice and different from the "standard" third wave coffee shop but that is a good thing. Large tables and quiet music encourage quiet working and group socializing. Very clean and organized counter area. Nice coffee selection as well as take home roasted coffee available. Tons of gear and teas too. A few baked goods to choose from, more would be nice but there was an alright selection. The coffee is spectactular. Dont come here and expect a burnt coffee flavour like starbucks or watery like tim hortons especially when you order a kenyan light roast pour over. These coffees are expertly roasted to bring out the best notes from the coffee. So expect beautifully sweet and fruity. You get what you pay for at propeller. I definitely want to go back to try a few more origins that they have. If you dont like the fact that they only have white sugar then order a sweeter coffee. No sugar required. If you dont know just ask and they will help you choose one.
Awesome environment for coffee fanatics!! Very lively, clean and filled with the best people! Nice stylish interior and I like their commitment to sustainability!
Very good coffee!
Pretty good dark roast at Leslieville Farmers Market, but for $2.50 it'll be a small portion in a cup more suitable for espresso drinks.
Love everything about this cafe.. the space itself is cozy while having beautiful high ceilings.. the staff is great and their yam and brie sandwiches and pumpkin muffins are ????
I had a lovely first visit to Propeller Coffee. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable with my coffee bean purchase and the latte was ????????
What a hip new-to-me space! The barista was welcoming, the coffee divine, and the space lovely. Not only that, they have definitely given thought to being accessible with wide generous spaces and washrooms outfitted for families with young children and grip poles for others needing support. Kudos. You have to check out this gem!
Great spot, but really bad hours..
Awesome place for coffee. The flavours in their coffee are unique and fresh. The staff is also super helpful in answering and questions. They're always friendly and informative. Great coffee, great service, couldn't ask for more!
What is so great about this place? I don't get it why so many people gave them 5 stars. I went there accidentally yesterday. But I knew they've got good reviews a lot. So, I thought I can get proper service but not. I asked like "You guys have an iced coffee?" before I place my order. She said "Yes" so I ordered ICED COFFEE. I was wondering while I wait my order. Why is it taking so much time? Iced coffee should be ready to serve right away(Coz, I knew most things about cafe. I used to work at several cafe for 6 years). Then I noticed. She was making an ICED AMERICANO not an ICED COFFEE. I guess everybody someone who loves coffee knows what is the difference between ICED COFFEE and ICED AMERICANO. She does't have proper knowledge of coffee. Or she made me mock of me? Like, oh probably this guy doesn't know what's difference between them. Even I don't need to explain this Asian guy. Like this? And they charged for $3.5 "ICED COFFEE" what they called. The location isn't face any big street or avenue. There located of perfectly back street. Wow what a overcharged "ICED COFFEE" they sell. What is the brand, huh? Get the proper knowledge n do right explanation each customer. Anyway, this is one of worst cafe in Toronto. I'm not gonna introduce this place on my blog or come back.
A bit difficult to find but there’s lots of space to sit inside. I had a latte and it was great. I would back if I was in the area.
Delicious cappuccino, great "savoir-faire" of the person who made it for us.
Great coffee ever! also it has many tables and its own parking lots. Hope to visit again.
I've purchased these beans all throughout the pandemic to make coffee at home. They taste amazing, and the variety and seasonal changes means I'm never bored. Shipping is free over $36 or something like that and arrives next day. Highly recommend.
Great vibe. Fabulous place to work. Friendly staff. If you want to get a seat you’re better off going first thing in the morning before it gets packed. I love hanging out here.
Great coffee served. Great beans to take home. Also looked into holding a private event here - didn't work out as our guest list was too large for the space but Kristen was really great to deal with and seemed very organized. Will definitely consider this space for future events.
This is a great shop to come and work or have a casual meeting. The space is very big and there is plenty of seating available. There was people working when I came on a Sunday so take advantage of the space if you like people around you while working. The coffee here is also another reason to come. I was very happy with the coffee and this roaster knows how to please their guests. A few sweet treats to pair with your coffee are available and I would come back. I would call Propeller coffee a hidden gem in the Lansdowne area.
This place is the best! They're coffee is amaaaaaaaazing and they have handy brewing supplies available for pickup too!
I can’t speak highly enough about my incredible experience going to Propeller for the first time this week. I’d heard great things from my coworkers but even those expectations were blown away. Bear was the guy who helped me out and wow! His knowledge was outstanding and he was such a kind person. The espresso I brought home was real tasty and I can’t wait to come back. (On top of all that, I’m really glad to say that their COVID safety measures were also top notch!)
