2020.09.11. Today start of the day was a drive to the east end of the city. The coffee recommendation from @snapturethis was to "Te Aro". We got our regular Hot Americano. Great coffee. Nice location. Busy in the morning. They open early at 7am. They have a patio for outdoor seating.

The perfect cup of Oat Milk Latte every time I visit. It’s only a few minutes from my work place. I usually visit them, once to twice a day when I’m at work. Excellent service every time. My oat milk latte with four espressos cost $5. Their prices are so reasonable considering the quality of their coffee beans and non-gmo oat milk. They have great tasting sandwiches too, fresh ingredients. My favourite is the chicken panini.

One of the best coffee shops at Queen street east. Very cozy and coffee is great. Staff is friendly. Not easy for parking. Not expensive place. If you have to do some work on your laptop then this is spot for you. Great vibe and atmosphere. Keep up the good work. Coming back next week I hope 5star will stay ????

Really great place to hang about or to work. It is quite spacious/open in the inside and the outdoor seating is welcome. Great coffee here and staff is friendly. They have a bunch of Pilot beans, merch, and some equipment here for sale as well. Good stop by the area if you want to stock up on Pilot beans or just want to sit down and relax.

Great coffee. Quite busy on weekend mornings, but the lineups move relatively fast. This location has changed since my first review 4 years ago. I'm updating this in December 2021. I find the staff a bit aloof, but that's fine as I go for the coffee and treats more than anything. The coffee is good. It's my mother-in-laws go to place, so that must mean something! I like the coffee there too... They have a nice outdoor seating area and it's good for people watching. If you go, do also check out the cute floral shop right there.

One of the best places in the East end! More recently had the raspberry lemonade on a hot day and it was the perfect post run treat. Their baked good are divine also! The carrot walnut muffin melts in your mouth. Great place to relax and have a catch up with a friend or a solo read. Free wifi!

Great coffee beans but the drinks and food are just “pretty good.” Not mind blowing, and the decor is painfully generic! Appreciate this is a local Toronto roaster but it’s not going to turn into my haunt ????

Great local coffee shop with coffee and espresso drinks plus good selection of snacks. Has fairly spacious outdoor seating area in front that is baby and dog friendly.

The last time I was there they were doing renovations. So check before going to avoid being disappointed. They have a beautiful front patio and their drinks are always consistent. They did mess up my friend's order but they were great about replacing it. And I've always had a positive experience there.

4 baristas behind the bar today, and after waiting at the counter for service to order, once ordered, I then I had to ask one of them to make my drink. Just waited with jo acknowledgement after paying. Sorry to interrupt your social visit, but my lunch break isn’t that long. Not the first time this has happened, certainly my last time going. Plenty of other choices in the area.

I did an exchange in Wellington, NZ and let me tell you, the coffee there is outstanding. I had really high hopes for this NZ inspired shop and they did not disappoint! One of the best lattes I've ever had. Staff was really friendly and knowledgeable too. This place is the real deal. 10/10 would recommend.

Definitely one of the best coffee shops in the east end, and probably The best in Leslieville. Pilot’s coffee beans are next level. Check this place out if you’re into espresso drinks. The pastries are very good as well. I’d just say that sometimes the service is a bit cold and unfriendly, kind of the same attitude that you’d find at their ossington location.. regardless 5/5 for their coffee

Cute coffee shop good coffee and it’s close to my workplace. I visited the one in liberty village then this location, I don’t know it’s just me but they always have attitude when they serve me, I came 3 times 3 times the same attitude came from 3 different person. Some of them even ignore what I asked.

July 28 2021: I got my cappuccino here today; coffee art was nice but the coffee shop did not allow indoor seating yet, only outdoor patio without umbrellas and the sun was just too hot today.

Nice modern place to hang out at, nice to watch Queenstreet lilfe passing by while zippin ☕???????? Interesting interior, friendly helpful staff... Coffeesupplies affailable...chemex, beans, mugs etc... Delicious fresh fruity roast from Pilotcoffee ☕, fine lateart VEGAN/Vegetarian friendly offering soy + almond milk... Different coffees to chose from. So... absolutely recommended for a cup, hangout get some work dun or meet up with fellow coffeelovers ????????

Pilot coffee is served at this well run establishment. With a tongue-in-cheek nod to hipsters, it is a welcoming environment that has a feeling of efficiency and warmth. I look forward to a return visit in the summer.

Looks like Pilot overtook Te Aro. Although it's same Pilot coffee but it cannot beat Te Aro's customer service. I visited today and had a terrible experience. Also they use to give the Sumatra coffee as drip Pilot doesn't have that. I use to drive 5km to Te Aro but not sure I will do it for Pilot

Pretty decent place, they don’t have indoor seating which sucks but they don’t seem to clean the tables outside at all :/ they were all covered in crumbs and food. I got the London fog latte that didn’t taste of vanilla at all but their sea salt chocolate chip cookie was the bomb but is probably from a bakery haha

Easy to drive by! Use your GPS and drive slow! I love/require alternate options. The turmeric latte with oat milk suits nicely. And gf-vegan everything cookie is a great complement. There's a calm buzz you feel when walking in here. It's comforting and encouraging of you need to get your creative juices flowing. The atmosphere is rustic and earthy - real-wood tables, faux living wall, metal chairs and glass bottles on bare floors. Definitely well-thought design. Eclectic music with mostlya mellow vibe. Staff all all easy-going and friendly. I recommend. Come through...

Well it is a go to coffee shop around the beaches area. The coffee is pretty decent and the cinnamon bun was actually alright. It is pretty packed. Most people just do a grab and go. I stayed on my latest visit the thing is the barista was overwhelmed by the hot beverages order and he forgot my americano and kept me waiting that I need to ask the cashier if she ring my order. The price is pretty decent too.

This place is often busy, I assume because the coffee is pretty good. But the experience is pretty terrible. The person taking my order rarely says anything in response to my order. Just taps it in and slides the iPad around to display this borderline forced-tipping system. One time I didn't hear my order called and got awkward stares which turns into ME apologizing because I feel awkward as hell. I'd rather support the other shops in the area that are generally friendly and don't leave me feeling awkward moving on with my day.

I've had so many good experiences here until today. Baked goods have always been good, same with the coffee. The $5 PB&J toast ended it for me. This is literally nothing more than a thin slice of sourdough with pb&j. There's nothing more to it. Maybe it's my fault for expecting more but this item should not be on menu for this price.

Hey it's pilot coffee, that's good stuff so you can't go wrong there. In terms of quality coffee, pilot is always 5 stars in my book. I didn't try any of the food so no comment there. Moving on to ambience, the decor is quite modern, no comfy chairs so not exactly a coffee shop to relax in. Seems like there is a gorgeous patio space in the summer, but hey, it's December so no dice. If I lived close by it might be my staple espresso bar (for coffee on the go) but as a place to hang out for 45 min between appointments? I think ill keep my options open.

The coffee is decent but the humans are not. I am aware of the owner (Andy) flouting pandemic restrictions personally. I question whether the business is meeting pandemic requirements. Good coffee is not worth supporting someone willing to jeopardize others.

I love this location so much. Pilot coffee is just the absolute BEST roaster in the city. During non-COVID times this is a great spot to hangout. Right now there's usually a bit of a line up and some seating outside. The pastries are all great too.
