Pleasent and quick service, nice and clean seating area! Breqed coffee is great and all of their sandwiches are quite tasty!
Came here for an afternoon matcha latte after brunch. Ordered the Waking Roll Cake to go along with the drink. The Matcha Latte is good. Has a good strong taste of matcha which is what I like. The walnut roll cake was also good. They actually added bits of walnut in the cake. It's not simply walnut flavoured like others I've tried. The white chocolate on top was a nice additional add-on to the cake. This cafe has a modern vibe. Lots of space to sit and enjoy your drink and snack. I actually used to come here a while back to study. They have a good seating arrangement in the back where you get a little privacy and quiet. Overall, this is one of my top cafe in the city. Definitely beats the traditional coffee chains that's abundant in the city.
Worker barely spoke English, he was nice and he was trying to get the point across. I expected a stellar espresso comparable to Faema but it was the worst tasting shot I've ever had. Brewed coffee was OK but rather weak and watery.
The BEST London Fog I have ever had. The drink was amazing and I don't know if I'll ever be able to find another like this. It was extremely busy when we came in but they were so quick at getting our order out and the quality was amazing. Such a good drink and such good customer service!
For third-wave coffee offerings in Toronto, it tops early bird, boxcar, and msquared in its earnest desire for better coffee - wherever it might be. The café itself is simple and elegant, great for putting some work in outside the office or catching up with a friend. Make sure to check these guys out often, as they feature multiple roasters from all of the world on a regular basis.
Best espresso I’ve had. Can’t explain it, but please try for yourself. The decor and ambiance at this venue is a mix of trendy and zen. It’s very nicely laid out and not crammed like most other shops.
Good quality teas and coffee. Freshly made on the spot. Fast and pleasant service. Its a nice atmosphere to quietly read, do some work or chat with a friend.
Lovely local shop for coffee and treats. Seasonal rotating items. Cool vibe and friendly service. A little pricey
Cosy place and the music is really good. dessert looks so nice
Great coffee and their latte art never fails to impress. I highly recommend their matcha latte, one of the best I have tried. They also serve an array of Sloane tea for the non-coffee drinkers. Their Japanese roll cakes are made in-house and look amazing. I have yet to try one but will do so next time.
A very stylish cozy cafe with ever changing beans. Very modern feeling atmosphere. Coffee is above average, but a bit pricey compared to franchise coffee shops.
Good coffee, decent atmosphere. Would go again. Super busy on weekends.
An incredible place with really diverse and high end selection. The owners, along with the employees genuinely care about coffee and are invested in bringing the drink to more of an experience. This place will make regular coffee a joke to people who appreciate the bean. Would recommend a pour-over for a first time visit, and wouldn’t recommend going in medium to large groups.
The owners of Neo coffee are really diagusting people. They dont care at all about customers and are rude and just want your money and for you to overpay. The coffee is sour tasting as they re steam their milk to save money. They are very cheap and cut corners here!!! Resteamed milk is dangerous and I don't think that it is allowed. They will make you sick at this place from them trying to cut corners and save money. And they OVERCHARGE!!!! Go here if you want to pay $7 FOR a RE-Steamed sour milk Latte. Oh, and BTW if you do get unlucky enough to get a latte with milk thats been room temperature and then resteamed! They will not even replace the sour coffee for a customer that has been a regular for 3 years. Thats the type of people these owners are. They give zero care for their customers and are willing to jeopardize them to save money. ownership are Terrible people. SHAME ON THE CHEAP OWNERS !!! RISKING HEALTH AND SAFETY and terrible cuatomer service and rudeness to someone who has spent money there for three years. I will never be back and I hope they go under. Worst coffee shop in Toronto. Also look at all the other 1 star reviews and you will see that the ownership/management are RUDE, super CHEAP, and dont care at all about regular customers. Very petty and horrible people.
In my Top 3 espresso bars in GTA. Deep rich distinct taste and thick crema. Great Presentation and attention to detail w/their food, drink, design and customer service. My go-to, aside from espresso, is the Maple chicken baguette sandwich and Matcha green tea w/raspberry Mochi. Minimalist wood interior design... clean lines. If you're looking for an experience and not just coffee, then you would have to check this place out.
They have a really good matcha roll cake. The chef and staff were very helpful. I was able to arrange a special roll cake made for order.
Very beautiful coffee shop located across the street from George Brown College. -Coffee is excellent, very high quality and drinks well-crafted. Dairy-free options. -Japanese deserts and cookies are on offer along with some fancy sandwiches/croissants. -Beautiful new interior with modern design. However, seating is limited, and the single small tables near the entrance are very uncomfortable in my experience unless there's no one around and you're only on your phone or reading a book. The back seating is nice though. In terms of pricing, it is what you would expect with the quality on offer. Pretty expensive but worth the money. Not advisable to go in groups because you will not have room unless a big section of seating is empty. Overall I would highly recommend Neo; very neat spot.
Cute and relatively affordable coffee shop. Couldn't find any outlets so maybe not the best for studying/homework but otherwise super nice! :)
Delicious coffee, freshly roasted beans by De Melo and beautifully steamed milk for a yummy latte. Lots of Japanese style sweets and pastries to choose from which are also aesthetically pleasing. Cozy atmosphere and great simplistic design. Delicious croissant sandwiches. Seating is limited. A nice place to work on your laptop and enjoy a great coffee. Has an outdoor bench for warm sunny days and people watching.
Lovely space in the core - great espresso and white coffee. Always smells deliciously like freshly baked bread too!
excellent selection of tea, and a really beautiful space. we stayed right up to closing time and the staff did not make us feel rushed at all. really helpful when selecting the teas as well, a very unique and wonderful spot.
I don't like the seating in here. I tend to avoid this place cause I want to sit and have meetings with people. This is more like an Italian counter place for a drink by yourself. I am also always on the hunt for a good cafe mocha.
Other
Coffee were good, we found this place as a good study/working place in blogto, but they don't allow laptop and tablet usage during certain hours of holidays and weekends. Also it was very noisy, so all in all, good place to grab coffee or pastry, but not working (at least in weekends)
I was genuinely impressed. I am French and my English is not very good, they were patient and repeated slower for me with great courtesy. This is always a source of stress for me and they were perfect. The coffee is very very good and the croissants too Thank you so much!
Modern rustic vibes. Has a not-so-secret door, which is pretty cool. Unique and nostalgic menu, with great customer service. Vegan, gluten, organic and other options available.
Some of the best coffee you'll get in Toronto. Neo's got a beautifully designed space that is modern and will suit those who like architecture. The quality of the coffee is exquisite and the staff clearly know what they are doing. A nice gem in the middle of an area where good espresso can be hard to find.
Popular spot for people looking for good coffee and a bite to eat. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone trying to read or work here as the music is pretty loud
Great Japanese style desserts. The matcha lattes and coffees are great as well. Nice staff and a great place to study as well
Greatest coffee in Toronto so far. Great sandwich too and very friendly staff. Best greetings from Denmark!
Lovely ambiance but poor customer service and overall attitude towards clients. If you’re looking for a place to work from, this is not the one. There’s a 1 hour internet limit, and no laptops or tablets before 4:00 PM rule.
They are good in general but you shouldn’t let people that are still in training serve the customers until they are well-trained… last-time’s coffee experience was such a turn off… I ordered ahead online but they didn’t make it until I got here and asked for it..(and it already passed the estimated time)..I mean what’s point of ordering ahead if I need to come in and ask again..(you were not even that busy) then the signature cold brew tasted like water.. I still feel so sad????
I enjoyed the latte and matcha cookie. Nice place to hang out and chat. Comfortable booth in the back. Not really good for big groups.
My favourite coffee house. Their coffee and desserts are fantastic. Love the minimalist interior decor
Pretty good coffee most of the time, been going here for a while but the recent new hires are not as friendly, too bad.....
Been coming here since they opened. Last few times not a good experience. Service has deteriorated. I admire the work many have to do especially now. But treat people like human beings and not numbers. Asked for honey in americano, no stirring or offer of stir stick Matcha latte not prepared properly. Attitude should change. Be more welcoming
4/5 Have returned. One of my favorites in the city, with consistent quality that you would expect of a Japanese establishment. The cakes are moist and creamy. We tried the seasonal Sakura. Light, sweet and subtle floral notes. Iced Matcha was fine, though I wish they would offer a blended version. Pricing a little higher but expect a high level of service and quality.
NEO COFFEE BAR What I LOVE about this café... 1. Service... SO GOOD 2. Food... baked and made fresh everyday 3. Cleanliness... Very clean! For me to find this hidden gem is blessed! I love how the cakes are made; not to sweet, yet not to thick. To be honest, I had the muffin as well, but it's not as good as the cakes. CAKES ARE DA BOMB!!! They have the cake of the month and that's called "neo opera cake", that cake is soooooo good... but hard to cut since the chocolate on the top is super hard. Totally recommend to anyone who wants a nice little cafe!!!!! The only downside to Neo cafe is the space is so condensed, it's hard to find a good seat to do work and etc. What I absolutely love about it is that the service is great! They'll recommend items for you if it's your first time coming. Also the cakes are not too sweet, so it's a perfect taste for those people who don't want anything too heavy.
Great latte, green tea latte, pastries and muffins! Comfortable seating in the back and French style seating at the front. Very friendly staff and they bring water around for everyone that is relaxing in the space. Great local spot
Was hyped to try the rolled cakes, ya! But once I did, I was deeply disappointed - no... ???? The sponge cake was ok, but the cream definitely tasted off, and the strawberries I guess were just not in season (they were really tart).. so perhaps using a sugar glaze would have helped? Another disappointing thing was the chai latte...I guess I'll try other things next time, or when I visit the new location............!
There does not seem to be an accessible washroom and the entrance is not barrier free. This is always irksome that a business could spend so much $$$ on design and equipment and prettiness and NOT be accessible. The owner, the city and the enforcement officers conspire to create these inaccessible spaces. Other than that - it is nice with decent coffee and unusual baked goods. But - please - let's have a barrier free space. If I missed something - let me know -
One of my favorite cafes in Toronto. Great matcha latte, great coffee. The rolls they have are delicious and airy.
I Bought Macha roll and Dark chocolate roll for celebrating my friend. Dark chocolate roll presented beautifully and tastes so good. It was written gluten free, but sponge is moist and soft. Furthermore not too sweet (good balanced). The only thing I want to complain is staff's harmony. Previously, I ordered a slice of Macha roll. I know they usually serve beautiful presented rolls, but at that time they just sliced roll, put few cream on the roll and requested same price as usual. I felt sad because the reason I decided to buy this shop's cake is decorating is beautiful. I may be going to go this shop again, but I'll check stock of cakes and condition next time...
Makers of my favourite matcha latte - matcha anything, really - hands down!
Very cute! Small selection of delightful looking pastries and outdoor patio.
Really really cute japanese place. For alone time or small group. The coffee and tea is a little pricy but worth it! It can get busy sometime and you might not be able to find a spot
The rolls and matcha sesame twist ice-cream here are so eye-appealing and magnificent (based on my friends' opinions). Personally I have only tried the tea selections due to diet restriction but I am absolutely obsessed with the iced matcha tea and the fruit tea selection.
Got the Neo iced coffee and a blueberry muffin. Both were delicious! Cute little shop with a nice roadside patio. Overall I’d recommend this shop to other coffee lovers!! I really liked the cute little photo booth for dogs (complete with water bowl and dog pun)
Consistently great coffee, baked goods, and service. Their monthly pastry feature has always wowed me. Note that seating can be hard to find even on weekdays.
Well, the atmosphere was the one I like. It's clean and clear space in which I could enjoy my time with friends. Taste, not bad, but not the best. Their coffee and drinks are not special, their desserts are just normal. I'm quite satisfied tho. Price, a bit high. I recommend this place to go.
I strongly recommend the strawberry roll cake and three kinds of tea there. The strawberry is fresh and sweet. With the tea, I can relax myself. But the only problem is that it is not very comfortable to sit there for a long time because the seats there are not very big.
Cool ambience, zen furniture, good coffee with delicate selection of Japanese bakery. No brunch options only snacks but worth visit for coffee fix.
Fantastic coffee, fantastic food, you cannot go wrong. The place has a good vibe if u want to get some work done on ur laptop or just want to sit for a bit. The staff has been edgy everytime I've been since covid though.
THIS place serves the very best espresso I have ever had. The order comes with a card explaining where the beans came from, tasting notes and a shot of soda on the side. This is the bar.
Definitely a must-go-to place for coffee lovers. Their pour over coffee is amazing. It can be pricey, but the experience of tasting the flavours of their coffee is worth it.
Love this place, super great coffee and their pastries are always an exercise of will power
Fun little place doing delicious things. They have a good selection of specialty Japanese teas and confections. I had a matcha tea and a daifuku-mochi. Both were delicious. Highly recommend.
Beautiful atmosphere with Japanese influence. Love the modern edgy decor of this Coffee shop. Cappuccino is made with fresh coffee beans. They make fresh in house croissants, mochi and other baked goods.
Only tried the Matcha Adzuki Roll Cake but it was greeeeat. The coffee looks legit too. I'll be back!
Fast and friendly service. Tempting selection of house made pastries. High quality selection of Japanese teas and coffee.
Good design and atmosphere...great coffee and macha related products, and pleasant staff. Often very busy though and finding a seat can be trying.
Had a wonderful time with my girlfriend. Kyoto Macha latte, the April cheesecake tart and the pistachio roll cake OMG! One of the Best dessert you can get in town! Will definitely return
Yummy matcha lattes,
This cafe has a very minimalist and industrial design. Would recommend the tiramisu as they do quite an interesting spin on it (with soft jelly mochi inside - not the typical creamy one). My girlfriend got the iced matcha latte which was good but was not strong enough in matcha flavour. Overall, friendly and chic afternoon tea place by the St. Lawrence market!
Great place to enjoy a nice cup of coffee. My go tos are their flat whites and poor over coffees
Hands down my favourite coffee shop in the core downtown area.
The atmosphere is awesome, great staff and service and all the pastries and coffee are fantastic.
Nice trendy setting. Employees were nice, and the treats were delicious.
We ordered coffee and cakes, they tasted good, and looked beautiful. It was nice that they were baking the sweets right there and fresh.
Bad services and their cold brew was terrible. I will never visit here again. I recommend you to go to Starbucks instead.
Great coffee place with modern atmosphere. I love their salmon croissant, and roll cakes! Peach, matcha, and strawberries ones are my favourites. I wanted to try their mochi -daifuku but it was sold out when I went there. I would love to try it. Their matcha soft cookies were also great! I will come back there again!
I was pleasantly surprise by this small coffee shop. Fast wifi, fast service, fun vibe. Definitely will come back. Lots of power outlet and clean bathroom. Mostly university students and teachers. Loved it.
One of my favourite cafes in downtown Toronto! There’s a wide election of espresso based drinks, but their specialty lies in their Japanese-inspired desserts, especially the matcha ones, which are super delicious! Also like how they have a no laptop policy on weekend afternoons to encourage socialising. Only downside is seating’s a bit limited and there’s only one power plug!
For all the people who wants to WORK or STUDY in this cafe on weekends, I highly suggest NOT TO COME! NOT TO COME! NOT TO COME! This is the most working-unfriendly cafe place I have ever been. The laptop and other devices are forbidden on weekend, no WiFi connection also. Staff there asked us to take the laptop away even we just use that for paper writing. The only one thing made my day is their cafe place located in downtown and we can have other choices. SUGGESTIONS FOR NEO CAFE: I totally understand how u eager to make money by passenger flow volume control, it’s reasonable. But please HIGHLIGHT your POLICY on GOOGLE website and YELP!!! Don’t you feel embarrassing by marking ur place as “good for working” on these social media? at least I do. Shame for you.
I make a hobby of visiting all the specialty coffee shops in TO, this one is definitely one of the top tier, a favourite for sure and a regular stop for me. Cool brutalist design, excellent staff, high quality coffee and a great assortment of tasty desserts.
Good pour-over coffee (I had the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe with fruity notes) and nice selection of cakes and pastries made from quality ingredients (which is reflected in the higher prices, such as CAD6.5 for a slice of roll cake).
My favorite coffee shop in Toronto
Fresh and outstanding dessert, you can even see them cooking and preparing all of them through the glass room. For the coffee it really tasted so good. Very close to the museum of illusion (1 min walk)
I always have great service food is always good coffee really good
One of my favourite cafes in the city; great coffee and perfect selection of pastry
I LOVE Neo's roll cakes. They used to have more flavor options pre-pandemic, but the strawberry roll cake is such a classic and consistently delivers on the super fluffy sponge + actually tasty heavy cream.
Absolutely adore this cafe! The esthetic is modern, clean, sleek. Their staff are always so kind+ helpful! Would highly recommend their croissants. They're so delicious.
Very nice baristas Been visiting for the last 3 years and everyone in their staff is friendly. Very perfectly made espresso based drinks. Very well prepared pour overs. House made pastries and desserts. Many of them are delicious
Delicious Espresso drinks. Attention to detail. Good value. Modern, airy decor with WiFi and little small work areas.
Really good coffee and deserts. Would be 5 stars, but had 1 visit where my GF corrected the barrista as he made the drink wrong, and he started slamming things around and was having a hissy fit. Never seen a barrista do that. Was really awkward and unprofessional.
Quiet and clean place with great coffee. They also have Japanese inspired pastries and swiss rolls. They also have free wifi for guests which makes doing work/studying easier.
Best roll cake ever... Also salmon sandwich was soso good!!! I recommend here❤️
Their matcha, coffee, and bakery items are a must. Cheese croissants were so-so. One of the only places that do a real strong matcha latte Some of their items look better than they taste. For people complaining about wifi/laptop policy, you can simply not tip or go elsewhere.
I love this place for its high quality matcha-red bean swissroll which oddly cannot be found as frequently as I expected for a city as diverse as Toronto. Their London fogs are also delicious- they make it with Solane classic tea. The ambience is a bit loud because during pre-covid 19 it was always busy. I also liked the modern design of the cafe- created a Japanese vibe. Overall, good wifi; but not if you intent to be focused. This place is causal and for a relaxing coffee not work.
Heard good things about their matcha latte (which is my favourite drink at most coffee shops if they offer it), so we came here to give this place a try. We came here on a Sunday, and I was planning to work a bit on my laptop. What I didn't know.. was that they have a weekend "laptop and tablet free" policy for a designated time of the day, which they indicate is to encourage people to socialize and enjoy their coffee more - I didn't mind, it's pretty cute that they do that, in my opinion :) What we ordered: - Matcha Latte: I thought it wasn't bad, but the matcha flavour wasn't strong enough so it tasted a bit more milky than some of the other places - Cold Brew: I didn't try this myself, but my friend really liked it! Aside from matcha, I also love chocolate-anything! But I feel that the flavours of both the chocolate and black sesame rolls could be a bit stronger: - Gluten Free Orange Dark Chocolate (64% dark chocolate truffle with a hint of orange) - Kurogoma (black sesame sponge cake and roasted sesame-infused sweet cream)
This was a great café to sit and work for some time. The drinks and pastries are truly special and staff was very friendly.
The cream puff cookie is amazing and they pretty good matcha lattes. The place is always crowded though
Feels like a piece of Tokyo in Toronto. Coffee was fantastic and cakes were the perfect treat to go with it.
Fantastic tasting espresso served up fast and presented tastefully. $2.75 for a double shot that was easily in the top 5 I've ever had. Will definitely be back.
It’s a really nice spot, I had their pumpkin spice latte and it was definitely a step up from Starbucks. But note that you can only get access to their wifi for 1h (regardless of whether you purchase more) so that’s not an ideal spot to work from (hence the 4 stars for me, it was quite frustrating to have to leave)
This Neo is the OG; I like it much better than the new one on Bay. The vibe is more relaxed and cozy, and the staff are just more experienced. This is a great place to sit down and enjoy your coffee and pastries. The roll cakes and pourover are always a great way to start off a Sunday morning.
Amazing, the view is very beautiful and romantic, the water and desserts are quite delicious, the staff is enthusiastic and lovely
Beautiful coffee and matcha, with divine treats. Lovely owner and manager & great staff
Take out
Their Japanese roll cakes are delicious! And the atmosphere is great inside the place. Great use of an industrial space. I loved the sense of community you get from the people that work there. Looking forward to coming back here next time I'm in Toronto!
I had such a great experience here. From Vancouver and we definitely don't have the kind of coffee bar yet. It's Japanese inspired and the service I dealt with was amazing. The matcha latte is definitely amazing. It was dark and rich, the way I like it. The Kura goma cake was so good too! I was so impressed! My cousin who introduced us to the place goes here quite often and my boyfriend was also quite impressed.
Coffee, tea, treats, atmosphere, service, music, EVERYTHING is divine!
Love their coffee ! I’ll have try their mochi next time!
My fave place to get an iced latte. The espresso is strong g but no bitterness at all. Mixed with the 3% milk theres no sugar necessary and the iced latte is smooth and rich. The place has a minimalist design. Various types of seating available towards the back. Many baked items available and baked in house. Their rolled sponge cakes are delicious with Asian inspired flavours. Service is always friendly. Will be back again and highly recommend this coffee shop.
Best coffee in the neighborhood, and beautiful industrial space that's quite cozy. They offer delicious Japanese cafe treats, like roll cake, and occasionally have vegan treats. They also have fantastic Japanese green tea. You must try the coffee here, the flavors are so complex and robust.
Nice atmosphere. Great for catching up with friends over a cup of coffee and a piece of pastry. I had the afternoon special (3 - 6pm) which consisted of a small latte and a piece of roll cake (I had the sakura roll cake) for $8 + tax. The cake was delicious. On the weekend it is a laptop & tablet free zone. I deducted 1 star as I find the price to be on the high side.
So wonderful here. Their coffee is so flavourful and elegantly prepared. They give a tiny sheet indicating notes of the coffee, as well as the origin, served with a tiny cup and a pot of coffee for dosing. It is pricey for a plain specialty coffee, but it is worth it. The staff is so kind and knowledgable, and the bathrooms are beautiful. The seating is not very good for groups, but there are many seats for individual use. Overall, amazing atmosphere and I would go back.
Stunning little cafe with incredible ambience. Authentic Japanese treats and baked goods. The rolls and mochi were fantastic. Matcha Latte and Flat white were absolutely on point. Not only the perfect texture, but stunningly beautifully poured and wonderful taste. Great job guys! We will definitely be coming back.
slightly on the pricey side for coffee and cake, but very delicious. hard to get the cosy seats here as they are always full.
Love this Japanese coffee and dessert bar. Great design and great vibe. Try everything.
I loved the quality of coffee, great service and friendly people. Would go again.
5+ star service, food and coffee!! Best combination of trendy, beautiful, tasty and amazing energy! You guys simply get the concept of good coffee...thank you for allowing us to savour such amazing products
The pistachio raspberry roll cake is a little overpriced but pretty good. Great atmosphere, seating is limited though
One of my favorite places in Toronto, and not just for great coffee. The pastries are delicious!
Excellent coffee section. The pastries are amazing. My favorite spot for coffee!
3.5 to 4 star rating... Overall, lots of great thought goes into their carefully crafted drinks. All espresso shots are smooth but their final flavour profile might be not exactly what you're expecting (strong star anise licorice flavour chai or very minimal vanilla flavour in the vanilla latte) What a great little cafe tucked just east of the central area. Its gorgeous with its zen like atmosphere and lots of light filtering in. The drinks are a perfect match to this great atmosphere as they're finely crafted with much care. We arrived mid afternoon and the serene cafe had many nice seats to enjoy your cup and treat. There was 3 people behind the bar and were very helpful explaining the different types of drinks and recommending what the person would like. Seeing how it was the afternoon, we didnt need a huge caffeine hit and we noticed they had a lot of interesting different drinks not based on espresso. We ended up getting a chai latte since they said it was not a premix. I also love the fact they offered real matcha and alternative milks. Our chai latte was really full of flavour... star anise played a stronger role in this one compared to others. It was such an interesting mix. It probably not my absolute favourite in Toronto but I love the richness and full bodied spice flavours being played out. It really was very well executed. As we were waiting for our drinks, we saw a bigger group ask about the various cakes they had available. They weren't offering slices but the person behind the counter was willing to offer half the cake roll and they had so many wonderous flavours. We did see the matcha and strawberry one as well. They looked so good. We'll definitely be back and try more of their espresso based drinks.
Great coffee and delicious cheese croissant. Friendly service!
Perhaps a little too chic for a cafe? Would definitely bring a date or friend here to chill since its quiet, and it does look nice inside. Really enjoyed their coffee + croissant but it was pricey.
You let a customer come in with no mask or face covering. Third wave and I don't understand why you are allowing this to happen. They were a foot away from me laughing and chatting with staff. I felt very uncomfortable.
First time here, been hearing and reading all about this place on instagram being good and was very disappointed with the cappuccino. Ordered 2 cappuccino for $8, it was so sour making it hard to drink. The barista looked annoyed of us, because we wanted two coffee cups to go after ordering the cappuccino to stay the place was packed of course we are going to leave. The pasteries look great, but definitely will not be going back due to the poor coffee experience.
I came here because I saw a blogTo post recommend that this is one of the top study Cafe in Toronto. But I kinda dispointed after I got here- not because of their food and drinks( they are delicious by the way), but more because that the cafe is not as big as it seems like in their picture. And the worst thing is that, their tables are tiny, and there aren't enough plugs for charging laptops. The day I went was super crowed, I can barely find a seat!! To conclude, neo caffe is definitely not a good study Cafe, but maybe good for people who just wanna chill and eat.
The roll cakes are great, pour over and iced matcha are good too. Seating are limited and some selfish customers occupied too much space and not willing to accommodate which was nothing wrong with the cafe.
Great ambience & the desserts were also fantastic. A tad expensive but still worth it. The customer service was def lacking tho. No sincere greeting or even asking us for any assistance. He Seemed more preoccupied with cleaning the machinery & stocking products than dealing with 2 customers directly in front of him. Service matters.
Hands down one of the best pumpkin spice latte I tried in Toronto. Judging from the PSL, I'm confident their other drinks are just as good!
I love this place! This is my go to place for fresh Roll Cakes and Cookies. There are much more desserts to try out at Neo! The place has a good vibe to it.
Honestly my beloved coffee destination. I love the people so much, and the atmosphere is perfect. The place is really friendly.
Great food and drinks, but I came here to study, after grabbing my food and drinks, the staff tells me I cannot use my laptop here from 12pm -4pm. So now I'm trying to chug my drink and finish my food so I can go somewhere else to do work.
I had the Hojicha latte and it was delicious. Like matcha but less bitter. definitely worth trying if you like matcha lattes. The almost croissant was heavenly. Super flaky and crispy. It was so good, we're planning on visiting their other location to get another one.
Vegans, only nut milks available for your fancy coffees. If you can't digest them or, like me, think they taste bad in coffee, prepare to have your coffee black! Rice and soy milks could also be stocked, and the shop would be more user-friendly! Looks good inside though.
Love this place and the vibe! Great coffee, desserts and service! Can't wait go back for another visit!
Staff were friendly and the atmosphere is great. Coffee wasn't to my liking though, very acidic. Overall a good experience.
My favorite place for morning tea ???? or coffee ☕ they also have nice cookies and croissant ???? and many more.
Service
Really excellent coffee (flat whites) baked goods and a hip vibe. Friendly service and nice decor as well.
Love the coffee here, and the desserts are fusion Japanese!???? love my sesame cake too.
Japanese coffee and a place for people looking to get the Instagram-esque aesthetic.
Really good coffee. Great space and environment to have a coffee and catch up with friends. Like their no laptop/tablet policy for weekends.
Interesting coffee shop with expensive, every day coffee. Don't bring your child or stroller. The place welcomes obnoxious youngsters on a short fuse with no social skills, who think nothing of voicing their "concern and dissatisfaction" about their "personal space being violated." A coffee shop for the immature.
Frankly my favorite coffee place. I love the people so much, and the atmosphere is perfect. The place is really friendly.
Had ice coffee, it was good. The desert and ice cream selection wasn’t great. Generally somewhat overpriced.
Absolutely delicious pastries made in-house. Hard to choose a favourite, but definitely try their black sesame roll! Paired with their pour-over coffee, and you have the perfect mid-day treat!
This is absolutely my favourite cafe in Toronto. Everything here is just top notch, from the coffee itself to the baristas' skills, great service and wonderful interiors. The in-house made pastries are also not to be missed!
Beautiful industrial interior, delicious desserts and superb coffee ! One of my many favourite cafés
Absolutely amazing coffee bar. The coffee is so good that it's definitely one of the best in Toronto. I wish this is located close to the financial core. We tried the Ethiopia Blida Kojowa. It's very fruity with hint of pineapple, apricot and strawberries. Also tried the regular drip coffee. The pastries are also wonderful. We tried the August special Ontario peach roll cake. The peach inside is so juicy and sweet. The whole cake is very fresh and delicious. One of the best roll cake I ever had. Highly recommended this place for any coffee lover.
Love the Matcha lattes here!
Neo is consistently the best coffee in Toronto. I don’t toss a complement like that around lightly, as I’m a firm believer life is too short to drink bad coffee. The aroma coming off a fresh espresso at Neo is unmatched. Even since I moved and explored other coffee shops I keep coming back. The bean, roast, temperature, water content, ratio of coffee to oat milk is perfect every time which is a compliment to the quality ingredients and also the team of skilled and friendly baristas. Shout out to Amy, Shoma and Aerol! My recommended accompaniments are a matcha cookie or butter croissant and I’m really looking forward to trying their new tiramisu on my next visit.
Quality coffee and baked goods, with some sandwich options. They have a vegan sandwich I'm obsessed with, and vegan treats! They also have cashew milk, which is one of my personal faves of dairy alternatives. Friendly staff, too.
They have great selection of pour over coffees. I had cappuccino which was also great. I found their coffees are mostly strong. Blueberry cream cheese roll was okay. I wish the bread was softer. Service is not so great. I guess it’s because they are busy most of the time I went there. There was one tall guy taking orders and he’s attitude was bit rude and he seems like he doesn’t really care about costumer service.
The seating is very limited, I'd say it's good for picking up coffee and roll cakes but to sit and chat with friends, not that great. The coffee was more on the acidic side which is personally not my taste but the roll cakes were very good!
Best place for coffee and great dessert cake
charming atmosphere along with a great taste but closing time is not appreciated!
Great atmosphere and even better coffee.
This coffee shop serves the best roll cakes, and the espresso drinks are excellent. A great place to catch up with a friend.
I enjoyed my visit at Neo Coffee bar. The barista was helpful and pleasant. I had the afternoon special the matcha latte was excellent and the rose flavoured cake was very good. The cake flower infused rose cake was slightly sweet with a bit of a savoury flavour. The presented is amazing as well. Very nice. I definitely recommend this place.
Their coffee is amazing. We have visited during the pandemic multiple times and always feel safe doing so. We have also tried their croissants which are great.
Service
I'm giving it a 3 cause the service is awkward... slightly rude. The coffee and cake is really good. But these days we have so much good coffee options in TO it's not worth going to a cafe with rude staff.
I watched a youtube video recommending this cafe as a great study cafe. I am not a customer who order a cup of coffee and sit for several hours - I continue to buy stuff if I study for a couple of hours. As soon as I took out my laptop, staff came over and left a sign on the table "no laptop use in the cafe on weekends and holidays" without any verbal communication. It was extremely rude. As for explanation, they said that they have been banning customers from using laptops on weekends for years and I should conform - yet, no clear messages regarding this policy were seen on their main website before I made this trip. I will not recommend this place for those who want to use laptops while drinking coffee. Very disappointed after I made a trip to this cafe from where I live. I would never go again.
Probably the best place to have coffee. Fantastic choices of exceptionally flavorful blends.
Friendly staff, good selection of tea. Their morning special of coffee and muffin is good as their blueberry one of is huge. Afternoon special from 3pm for latte and their specialty roll cake is also nice. A bit on the pricey side but you can see why in their staff and environment and overall quality of food and drink.
One of my top coffee places in TO. These folks really know what they're doing. Nice atmosphere, tasty baking and of course, GREAT coffee.
I got the blueberry blackberry muffin and it was SO moist and the crumble on top is delicious. I also got the almond croissant and you can really taste the butter, it was heavenly. The flakiness was also very impressive. The cafe is kept incredibly clean and can get quite busy. Will definitely come back to try other things, I really want to try their black sesame roll if it ever comes back to their menu!
Amazing coffee, Japanese baked goods and traditional green teas like matcha, hojicha and genmaicha
Excellent variety of roasters, including De Mello Palheta. House-made pastries are wild, rounded out with a few gluten-free options.
Drinks were nice, but definitely avoid this place on weekends/holidays. They have a policy that all laptops and tablets must be stowed from 12-4. This is claimed to be in order to "encourage a social environment" on weekends, but it's really just to clear seats and encourage people to keep moving along. We had a small group of people working together (i.e. socially) on an art project off of a single ipad, spitballing ideas, adjusting lighting and color on images, etc. Apparently that's not social enough for a "social environment," since we were given a direct order to quit working or leave. In all honesty, I'm not offended by a "please clear space for our other paying customers around lunchtime" policy. It's unusual, but not an unreasonable ask for a coffee shop. But honestly, if that's what your policy is, come out and say it, don't wrap it in some passive-aggressive "oh, it's to encourage a social environment" nonsense, then apply it indiscriminately to people who are actually socializing.
This quickly became my favorite coffee stop in the area. They take pride in their business, and it translates to a wonderful experience and delicious options.
Amazing Japanese influenced drinks and amazing baked good that you have to try, set in a beautiful modern minimalist space with perfect eastern design features.
My cookie was green. I still liked it, tasted like Kermit
Urban gem hidden in the midst of old Toronto. With its Blended style of minimalist Asian /Japanese and modern urban chic design, this place is definitely worth the visit but please bring your full wallet!
Not your ordinary cafe shop. The choice of treats are much better than all the muffins and cookies that you see all over North American cities.
Awesome spot. Great espressos and a great attention to detail in everything they do.
Had a good espresso and a tasty blueberry muffin. Nice spot !
Great coffee all around, tasty baked goods, and a wonderful atmosphere. They're open later than a lot of other independent coffeeshops in the city. On weekends they discourage laptop use from noon to four pm.
Great place to have a coffee and chat with friends. They have special teas and a good selection of coffees.
I love the place + concert with wood very attractive ✨
Nice coffee place, the atmosphere, decoration and music is really cool. Cozy place. Ask for Matcha latte.
Great coffee from a knowledgeable staff. Try their pastries! They rotate every month or so.
This was introduced by a friend and I'm happy to share that their Kyoto matcha latte was da bomb and the strawberry shortcake that I ordered was really delicious. It had an interesting texture, unlike the traditional one which gave every bite really springy.
The coffee and japanese cake rolls are delectable. The seating space is well organized.
Coffee, sandwich and pastries: excellent! Friendly and calm atmosphere.
My favourite Japanese cafe in Toronto. Cute and delicious dishes
These guys have some awesome coffee and even better pastries. They have a pastry chef that can be seen working behind the counter in the morning.
Always a favourite, their drinks and pastries are so delicious. COVID-19: They have seating outside on the sidewalk for social distanced seating. There is also indoor seating as well but many seats are blocked off. There is also a large bottle of hand sanitizer by the garbage bin in the front.
The place is pretty nice and the roll cakes are good. However, the guy running the pour over had no clue what he was doing, pouring the hot water way too rapidly, resulting in a pretty poor-tasting cup of expensive pour over coffee. Otherwise, the other things they have at this shop are decent and the atmosphere is pretty nice. and there's nice seating, along with a neat little hidden away bathroom which was memorable to me for some reason.
So much choice and we had to have a bit of everything between us of course. Good selection of teas, coffees and food. Went for the black forest ham with brie sandwich, which was extremely tasty, particularly when it was heated up and the cheese just melted in my mouth. The black forest ham was delicious also, went very well together. Matcha latte was well presented and loved the variety of Swiss rolls and mochi. The mochi had great texture and really flavoursome. A good place to explore.
Such a lovely, aesthetic little coffee shop. Their weekend mochi options and general range of cakes are delectable. ????
Great atmosphere! The matcha latte is nice and rich and all the food is really good.
Amazing coffee and assorted snacks. The energy in the place is laid back and relaxed. Would recommend on a Saturday morning!
First time visiting today, honestly hands down best tea lattes I’ve ever had. Sandwiches were very yummy also, I was pleased with the friendly energy :) will be coming back and am looking forward to when the cafe can open up again. Despite being in stage 2, the place itself is very spacious, great ambiance!
Love the coffee and ambience. Hated how a $4.80 cold brew cup was entirely was filled with ice and had less than 100 mi of actual coffee.
Love the interior and their desserts, great place to relax and have a cup of Japanese matcha latte! One of the best cafe and study spot in Toronto!
Great coffee, loved the pastry's, and the overall atmosphere. The owner was very appreciative for my business and I will definitely be coming back soon. :)
Lovely atmosphere with delicious food and coffee. I've had the almond milk cappuccino and coconut latte, both are superb. The cookies are filling and not too sweet. Would also recommend the soy-cream cake.
Beautiful coffee shop with excellent drinks and snacks to eat. Had their raspberry pistachio pastry and it was really fresh and tasty (creamy pistachio filling with raspberry chunks). Lots of other interesting and tasty-looking snacks too. There's a decent amount of seating although it's not large by any measure. It's a laptop free zone on weekend afternoons, which is a nice idea but could be something you don't expect.
The is the only place in the city that uses top quality ingredients. Organic milk, real butter, the best coffee and espresso beans. The location is great too. I make an effort to come here because it's so good!
Fantastic coffee in such a beautiful space. The desserts are excellent too!
Latte was great, no power outlets though
Looked like a great place to grab coffee or work, but there weren't any seats available when we arrived on a sunny Sunday at noon.
Neo Coffee Bar is a hidden gem in our neighbourhood - the coffee, teas, and pastries are exquisite! Their house blend 'Neo Blend' is the best I've had in a long time.
The London fog latte is amaaazing!! Such a cozy atmosphere and lovely staff.
Brilliant coffee shop with some of the best coffee in Toronto. Cakes are to die for. Well worth a visit especially on a cold winters day. Love their policy of no laptops/tablets for a few hours on public holidays.
Great place for coffee, tea, and desserts. I found the green teas are steeped a bit strong for my liking.
Delicious matcha latte and pastries but a little pricey. Friendly staffs and neat interior but sometimes I find that the seating's are not enough. Would go back for more!
Fantastic coffee, amazing baristas, pastries and atmosphere. A great cafe to do work or hang out in!
The atmosphere is so great! We had the muffins, latte and pour over coffee. Never thought I’d enjoy vegan muffins this much!! Highly recommend.
Amazing service! I always look forward to the monthly specials ????
I love the atmosphere, I go there on my brake and its perfect. They have some gluten free stuff too.
This cafe is so cool! I love visiting here with my friends and family!
Excellent coffee, and very cool space. Only comment is it isn't so good if you want to sit down and work on a laptop
Cute little coffee place. Their sando egg salad is great to pair with a plain hot Americano.
Always love coming here to enjoy my matcha latte and matcha cookie! Staff are always friendly and efficient with the orders. Store is usually busy pre covid
I love this cafe.Strong taste of Latte. Sweet Berry.Rare place for such a delicious taste.
I've only had the matcha latte and it's the most divine drink on the menu. You can get a coffee anywhere, but the matcha latte is extra special. The interior is minimal, clean and thoughtful. Great service.
The dessert was okay and the service fine. But they use coffee from the De mello Coffee roasters (by the way this place is a must-visit at Yonge and Eglinton), so I rather go there cause they have better pastries too. The music was bar-like! Horrible place to talk, read or work. I was expecting so much better.
The interior of Neo is beautiful. Its phenomenal design is understated and elegant in a manner that edifies our city! I came here a second time, expecting to feel transported to Japan. I partially succeeded in imagining myself 10,000km+ away, when I went to request for a bitter, grassy matcha in plain hot water, to accompany the sweeter cookie I planned on devouring. I was a bit shocked to find they charge $5.95 for plain matcha in hot water, in the same manner that they charge for their Kyoto Matcha Latte. I was more surprised that their menu doesn't feature plain matcha tea. I wish it would! I won't fully describe the confusion that my request for plain matcha lead to, resulting in an espresso-based latte. Suffice to say, I fear the ambience, which for me is laregely comprised of hospitality, was lost on me near the end of it due to the brusque and begrudging nature of the barista. Thankfully the cashier at the register was far more gracious and accommodating than the barista, for which I remain grateful, though the poor communication between the cashier and the barista ultimately complicated the order. Instead of trying to resentfully please your customers, I would suggest simply and pleasantly expressing from the get go: "no, its not on the menu" or "that's a great idea we'll pass it on to the manager," or "yes, we have plain matcha but it costs the same as the matcha latte." I hope to return to Neo welcomed with the spirit of omotenashi, which I just barely glimpsed...the rare warmth of customer service contrasting, not reproducing, the cold concrete that curves the walls.
Great cafe!! Love their cheddar croissant and mixed berry muffin.
Very impressed with my experience here! Very unique upscale cafe with a variety of gorgeous pastries and drinks. Beautiful interior and excellent presentation! Very satisfied with the espresso and iced Americano. Looking forward to coming back!
Salmons sando is really good, just a warning to people that don’t like raw food. The salmon is raw.
Great atmosphere. Coffee was good. On par with most boutique like coffee houses around the area like Rooster and Odin. Desserts were amazing. Strawberry Shortcake and Matcha Cookie are my recommendations
Third lane coffee shop with own identity and great coffee. They bake delicious Japanese cakes, try it out!
Neo is a great little place with sweet staff and even sweeter treats. I came here to do some studying on a Sunday at 11 and it was half filled up. A note, there aren't many plugs so be aware of that, as well as limited table space. But man the matcha roll was so good I haven't stopped thinking about it! Definitely want to come back and buy a full roll. <3
Delicious cakes and very beautifully crafted lattes. We had the matcha green tea latte and cappuccino with the earl grey/blood orange swirl cakes. We ordered a pistachio cake and green tea cookie as well (probably a bit overboard for 2). Prices were a little expensive (cost approximately $22 for everything) and interior sitting was limited but food and ambience is great. Washroom was hidden behind a wall too, very clean and trendy.
Best coffee we have had in a while. Dripper is great and really brings out the flavours of the coffee, we ended up buying a bag of beans afterwards we were so pleased
I used to like this coffee shop but today I was really not impressed with their no laptops rule. I respect of this is something you want to do but it should be communicated clearly . Bought a bunch of food and coffee and was told this after I sat down. Pretty annoying . Again I have nothing against a no laptop rule but it should be stated clearly and not an after thought if it's such a selling point that they feel is important. Not impressed and probably not coming back.
Been here a few times. Pretty nice cafe. The most unique drinks I ordered are probably the Kyoto matcha latte and the crimson iced tea. Kyoto matcha latte ($5.95) - simple green tea latte. Smooth with no grainy taste. Presentation is nice. The lattes come with latte art on them. Crimson ice tea ($3.25)- just iced tea, isn't sweet. Tastes similar to cranberry juice with no sugar. Less sour than cranberry juice. Matcha adzuki roll cake ($5.5) - matcha cake with organic red bean filling. The cake is soft and moist. Flavour is good. Shingen roll cake ($5.5) - soybean cream filling with organic red bean and rice cake. Didn't like this one too much. The filling tastes similar to peanut butter. The mochi was soft yet chewy. The cake was moist and soft though. Simple, clean looking cafe. There's plenty of seats. There's booth seats at the back. Good place to do some work on your laptop. The place is quite. There's a parking lot near by the it's more expensive than parking alone the streets. Parking lot is ($3.50) per HALF AND HOUR. Road side parking is ($2.25) per AN HOUR. It's cheaper to park alone the streets.
Easily the best coffee in Toronto. The baristas are masterful, their espresso is perfection. As someone who is very particular about my coffee I cannot say enough good things about this place! Food is excellent as well.
Coffee was okay at best. No drip after 5pm for some reason. Good presentation. Cozy environment. Good place to do work in or read a book.
Great addition to the neighbourhood and the city. It's got a really cool design, great tasting coffee, creative food and most of all, a unique experience.
Everything is amazing! The coffees! The teas! The baked goods! More of an art form than food and drink.
Other
Atmosphere was industrial and relaxing. Good for studying or writing. Coffee was pretty good and staff were super friendly
Very interesting atmosphere, delicious coffee and wonderful staff. This a great spot to meet up with friends or even go on a date as there are plenty of seats that are a bit private. May get crowded sometimes! Also, has laptop-free hours, so be mindful of that and read the signs.
Take out
Great coffee, service and tasty baked goods. Wood interior supports a chill atmosphere
House made Chai syrup is awesome as is the Matcha. The baristas are so kind and cool and the architecture is beautiful!
The interior is beautiful however the coffee is nothing special at all! I ordered lactose free Flat White. Luckily I asked just before I took them away, as the barista made them with regular milk!!! He made them again of course, but the milk was very flat! Flat white doesn’t mean it’s flat at all. The milk consistency should be thicker and more creamer with a velvety texture. I got a watery texture instead... Not sure that I would go back again ????
Great place for drinks . Food is great but a bit pricy. I don’t even like muffins and I’ll buy one every time
One of the best espresso and presentations I’ve had in a while! Rarely am I given soda water as a palette cleanser, but I refuse to drink espresso without it after having been here!! Found the muffin to be good but nothing special. The coffee was the standout here. Gowan my server was incredibly nice and helpful, even after I accidentally broke a glass. Can’t recommend coming here highly enough! Bring a book to enjoy the fantastic atmosphere and coffee!
Wonderful shop. Very modern and unique design, professional and quick service. Lots of yummy delicious treats and lots of space to sit down and enjoy.
Fantastic pastries and good service at Neo Coffee bar. There was plenty of room to sit down with a coffee , matcha roll and a book. The space was comfortable and the atmosphere was friendly. My only criticism is that there should definitely be a better sign leading to the washroom facilities! The washroom door is hidden in the wall, which is a great aesthetic but not practical.
I just had my worst experience at this cafe. 1)Server’s attitude is really bad and some of them cannot even understand English. 2)the wifi is not working all the time and the servers are impatient and not helpful. 3)Besides laptop is not allowed here during weekends in the afternoon. 4)very narrow table and uncomfortable seats!!
Great coffee, delicious baked goods. Try the roll cakes and anything with Matcha
Meal type
Absolutely love this cafe! Not only is the baked goods some of the best I’ve had in the city, the baristas are next level. I’ve never seen another cafe in the city where the baristas truly show they love their job. They have fun creating these epic latte arts, super sweet, and go the extra mile. The manager or owner, is super gracious and they even go so far as to ask customers not to use their laptops on weekends so that it doesn’t overcrowd the seating areas and encourages conversation. Kudos on running what I believe is one of Toronto’s TOP CAFES. ???????? Must haves: A latte, or tea lattes if you’re into that, a slice of their roll cake, and/or any of their scones. Sooooo good! Oh and their social is the perfect way to find out what they have in fresh too!
I love this coffee shop! The stay is always very kind and super helpful. I love my espresso and some of the best available in the city is at NEO. The coffee is always expertly made. The food and treats available are fresh, varied and I recommend trying everything. This is an amazing coffee shop. Support local!
I wouldn't call it a dramatic space with soaring ceilings but it's cozy. Great coffees/teas.
Great service by Neo coffee bar. All the staff is very kind and professional and the menu is amazing.
Love everything about Neo. Great coffee, pastries and food. The decor is very modern inside and it's a nice place to sit and reflect while sipping your Americano
Tucked away, almost walked past it but glad I stopped in. Japanese inspired pastries and drinks. Recommend the matcha cookie.
Super nice place to get some studying/work done. The food & drinks are both really good & would come here more often if I went to George Brown (since it is right by the campus).
Great coffee and yummy pastries!
Love this place. Wonderful coffee and an amazing service!!
Amazing coffee, baked goods and overall unique atmosphere. Highly recommended this gem
Excellent coffee and pastries, very friendly and attentive staff, enough space to sit and clean bathrooms, that’s all you need in a coffee shop!
Fantastic place, clean, friendly staff and the best decaf latte I have had in a long while! Plus the smoked salmon baguette and strawberry shortcake are worth a detour.
the strawberry swiss roll was probably my favourite with the quiche too & the coffee was okayish, probably should’ve gotten something else but my boyf loved their coffee
Excellent cafe. The space is so zen. Super coffee and even better desserts.
I'm not usually a coffee drinker but I tried a plain black americano and it was delicious. Best coffee I've ever had-- no lie! Velvety smooth. They also have a great assortment of baked goods including gluten free ones which is ????. Masashi and staff are the best and the interior design is beautiful and comfortable. The minimalist smooth, curving concrete walls, high ceilings, and wood accents make this a refreshing change from the traditional coffee shop. Looks like a great place to hunker down and get remote work done, or a coffee date. Highly recommend.
The best cafe in the city! A great place to relax and have quality hot drinks. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. All cakes and desserts are made fresh by hand, and include fruits that are in season! It's a great place to take your friends from outside the city, or meet with old friends. Truly authentic. This is more than a cafe, it's a great place to see new faces, families, travellers, and locals, it's a community!
This Japanese coffee shop easily has the coolest interior of any cafe in Toronto. Excellent beans, sweet and savory snacks, and the matcha latte is tops.
I got a matcha cake roll and a latte, the coffee was very smooth and the cake was also pretty good. Just wish their staff could at least smile when they serve customers.
Amazing atmosphere and good vibes all around. Love the service and the coffee is also just as lovely. Worth checking out, one of my favourites!
Really nice coffee bar in Toronto. Always has great service and really good coffee!

I love this cafe so much. Everything I have tried from the matcha latte, matcha tea, espresso, and the various baked goods have been excellent. I am particularly fond of the matcha tea, which I find very clean tasting and affordable. The staff are amazing and kind, and it’s obvious how much they care about the quality of their products and the customer’s experience. The interior of this cafe is also beautiful, very modern/industrial-chic, always very clean and I love the music they play too. Sometimes I wish the tables were slightly larger for when I study there with my computer, but I think that is what makes it an ideal place to meet up with people and socialize, hence the laptop-free hours on Sunday.
Excellent rotating espresso selection in a cozy raw industrial setting. Smells like amazing spices when you walk in.
Modern Japanese Cafe with freshly baked goods. You pay for quality.
Modern, clean, hip space that is knowledgeable about what good coffee is. Their baked goods are mostly organic, made in house, and all very high quality. Their Japanese roll cakes are their signature dessert since it's a unique addition (compared to other coffeeshops in the area) and very well executed. They also offer croissants, muffins, and small sandwiches and they have monthly special desserts. Excellent coffee bar that I love visiting in this neighbourhood!
Loved the coffee, service, ambiance, beautiful music. Dairy-free options intact! cant wait to go back!
By far the best coffee of Toronto. Nice baristas, excellent coffee, Great food. As suggestion order a Kenyan coffee on the V60-02.
The design is adorable and follows a lovely wooden, simplistic, comfortable theme... They even had little seasonal decorations. I tried the Ham and Brie Sandwich which was fantastic and this Sweet Potato Cupcake thing which tasted like quality but missed my preference for a sweet dessert by a mile. The staff was very friendly, like Starbucks level friendly (that's a great thing). It is pricey but you'll enjoy your stay.
Beautiful interior with delicious coffee. I always stop in at Neo for an Americano when I am in the neighbourhood. One of the best cafés in the city.
Price is on the high side! Atmosphere is relaxing! I enjoy its good quality snacks, desserts and sandwiches
Excellent coffee and pastries. Will definitely return the next time I'm in Toronto. Seating area is nice and clean too.
Coffee was sour and acidic in the worst way.Kyoto matcha latte tasted like seaweed at it's worst, and the muffin I ordered was okay. Staff were also not friendly and unaccommodating when I explained my feelings towards the drinks I ordered. Would not recommend to anyone
Love all the food!!! But I will remember order no sweet in my matcha latter next time:(
I really liked the decor and the matcha latte was decent. Nice place to study or have work meetings!
Fantastic coffee and a chill spot
Great place! Food and coffee is awesome. Staffs are friendly.
Love this place! Amazing coffe - probably one of the few coffee spots which actually serve great quality. It does help a lot to wake up before the early class! They also offer quite a selection of deserts ( definitely suggest to try it ) and some sandwiches. Great place to grab coffee to go or stay with friends. You can also get yourself beans ???? Washroom is very clean and done with taste. Quite hidden and makes it personal. That's a plus. But most of the time there is 1-2 in line waiting. Would be great to have 2 washrooms - for males and females. Due to the great quality of the food and coffee and good customer service definitely will need bigger apace in future! Highly recommended to visit.
Fantastic place. Lovely staff, they are very hospitable and friendly. Great little sandwiches on baguettes but are slightly pricey. Great coffee and pasteries! The actual place is very easy to find and once inside there are a large amount of seats to accommodate everyone with or without laptop.
Best flat white and gluten free dark chocolate orange roll.
This place is cute and quaint. I come here before or after my cooking classes at george brown due to convenience but fell in love because of their care and quality of their food and drinks. If you have never been to neo, i highly recommend a pourover coffee and a swiss roll cake as the gateway drug. I live their chocolate sea salt cookie because it has oats, flaxseed, coconut, and walnuts mixed into the batter that gives it this awesome texture. Their items are on the pricier side but the quality justifies the cost.
One of the best coffee shops in the city. The cake rolls here are incredibly good
Great coffee. Love living in Toronto. Seriously there is just so much great food to experience. Lucky to live here and have Neo close by. High quality coffee. A ton of care is bright into everything they do here.
Love their pastries, barista recommendation was not just an upsell. Peach roll cake was light and not too sweet! Coffee was also super fresh
Gorgeous coffees with the right kind of roast, great ambiance and some very interesting finger food.
they know what they're doing and their pour overs or their cold brew selection are all really tasty. i was visiting from out of town and i tend to be biased towards my own cold brew that I make at home, but I came back twice in a week just for the quality of coffee and it was nice to get some work done here while i worked remotely as well.
Great service, lovely ambiance and excellent coffee. Too bad that by the time I got there food options were limited. It would be nice if you can add some vegetarian sandwich options. The cappuccino made my day!
Best match latte in town! I got too curious about what matcha powder they used and started chatting with the barista, found that they actually use matcha powder from Kyoto. Although each match latte is much pricier than you pay at the chains but definitely worth the value! They also got great cookies and roll cake too! Only thing is if they could operate a little longer hour would be much better.
Unusual coffee shop with a Japanese twist. A good selection of authentic Japanese teas and desserts.
The seasonal shingen tart was delicious, and the genmaicha latte was pretty good but I don’t think it was mixed quite enough because it was still really powdery tasting
Tried to order two cakes to try, only received one. Was told to come back into store to pick up. Called ahead to ensure the cake was ready, upon arrival am informed it wasn't actually added to my order and hasn't been paid for thus wasting my second trip there. Extremely inconsistent service, with newer baristas not packaging pastries properly even after confirming the order.
Lovely new place. Amazing pastries, very good coffee. The interior design is gorgeous, though the tiny tiny tables at the front, while pretty, do not encourage you to do much but eat and drink and go. But, that's not a big deal, they have bigger tables in the back. The soundtrack playing on the morning of my visit was a great mix, and i wanted to stay just to hear what's next. I expect this beautiful place will be a destination for many in the neighborhood, soon enough.
Came here on a Tuesdays around 3-4. It was a really nice atmosphere. The barista was very nice and attentive. They look a bit understaffed so the orders might take a bit but I'd definitely come back since they coffee was great and they have a wide selection of milk alternative.
Great coffee. Choux puff was great. Nice light background music.
Good lattes and modern decor. ???????? We'll be going back.
I love this place. Always a good time and their product is amazing! Also their Matcha drinks are out of this world
One of the best espresso bars in the city! Latte and flat white are amazing!
One of the best cafe in Toronto. If you’re into Japanese style cake, you gotta try it. The cake is well baked and not too sweet, and the open concept environment would definitely make your experience good
5 stars for this place , everything inside is unique including their menu, design , interior, its a good place if u enjoy having a coffee with friends with a nice atmosphere , another thing is that the matcha late drowing on the drinks are awsome.
Excellent matcha and coffee crafted to perfection with delicious desserts to satisfy your cravings. The ambiance and decor make for a great place to relax with close friends or to take a date. Will be back soon to try more of the menu.
Very interesting decor- brick walls and booths. Desserts made in house in open kitchen. Great coffee. Very cool vibe.
Great space for a solo visit. Matcha isn't as strong as most places. Beverages are on the small side...
Latte was very good. But cookie and rollcake that i ate was little sad. But i still want to go back to drink your coffee.
Quiet place a for a coffee, reading or even working. The croissant is always crispy and coffee is good as well. The cakes are delicious and they aren't too sweet. You can ask for a fidelity card and after drinking 10 coffees, you get 1 free!!
One of the best cortado Iv had in Toronto...
The best matcha and houjicha lattes I’ve ever had. Also the best coffee! And their cakes are seriously the best. I loooove this place!!
Very good coffee, but very steep prices. The pastries are delicious.
Love the place but the spot is generally crowded and the seating isn't convenient for long stays. It's pretty ok for a quick coffee though
I dropped by today for the first time in a little while and was a bit disappointed. The coffee is still on point, but the service seems to have taken a step back. My experience with the arrogant girl behind the counter felt more like a visit to a Dark Horse location than the top notch independent cafe experience I had come to expect.
Great coffee and treats, but not always a lot of seating or tables. Some of the tables are tiny, enough space for coffee and a snack but not much else.
My favourite coffee shop!!!
Excellent coffee shop I try to visit whenever I am in the area. I had an americano this time and my wife had a matcha latte. Both were great, as was the croissant we split. The staff asked how much water I wanted in the americano, which I appreciated. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. I have not tried the desserts but they look delicious.
Great selection of specialty coffee, cosy atmosphere, nice snacks. Perfect to hang out in here, chill or even work. Will come back definitely!
Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, high quality coffee, ideal place to start the day at.
This place is widely known for their Japanese pastries featuring the elusive roll cake. Do not let that fool you as they make a great coffee. One of the only place nearby that does a pour over coffee with usual choice of a featured roast or a local roast. This is definitely my favourite coffee shop in Toronto.
Very friendly place. Coffee and matcha tea was really good. The pastry was not too sweet which is perfect.
The coffee wasn't really to my liking. Maybe a different style than I'm used to.. flavours are subtle and muted. I prefer a bit bolder brew.
Coffee is very good. We had the strawberry cake and the peach cake: delightful ????????
Their swiss rolls are so delicious! Check out their seasonal ones!
This has become my favourite coffee spots in town. Great coffee, incredible selection of freshly-baked goods, pastries, sandwiches. The staff are friendly, and the place is hip and cozy.
Best Swiss roll in town. Hojicha latte is always great.
They are one of the top Latte art cafés in Canada. Great coffee and matcha drinks. They also have a variety of small matcha based pastries.
Dine in
My first visit to the original Neo Coffee Bar on Frederick Street was met with an excellent cup of pour-over coffee with De Mello Palheta Damo (Ethiopia) beans. Its body and the complexity was impressive. One of the very few cafes in the city that gives a good balance of minimalistic style with lighting, seating and the industrial finishing.
Excellent coffee, excellent service excellent croissants! Ther decor of this spot is very nice too; it looks very modern. From pour over to espresso drinks and to their original in house desserts, everything here is crafted with care and attention to detail.
Cool place with lots of goodies...convinces location and friendly people working there..and of course coffee and cookies are great
Great latte. Atmosphere. Japanese style cafe. Love it. Going there once a week at least.
Have been here a few times and have always had a wonderful experience. This recent visit I was incredibly happy with my shot of Gigesa from De Mello (their feature at the moment) and the two mont blanc cakes I devoured (maple sweet potato and matcha) [$6 each ]. The staff and the atmosphere are excellent, so do yourself the favour and visit! ????
Lovely place to warm up in a rainy afternoon. Matcha latte and vegan muffin were the best!
Amazing coffee and pastries, the aesthetic and vibe is very pleasing as well, it's currently cashless x
Excellent taste but have to wait long for your order.
Neo coffee bar is simply elegant. The experience is very cozy and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and coffee flavourful. Reading this? Just go!
Tried London fog, cheese croissant, and pistachio and raspberry roll cake! Loved the tea! The stuff was very nice. Great customer service. The best thing here is cream puff!
Coffee 5 stars Cake 3 stars ( a bit dry... ) Service 3 stars Atmosphere 4 stars
Great atmosphere and music! We had coffee and a slice of cake. A bit overpriced but overall good experience.
Such a beautiful spot. Expertly crafted drinks, and instagram-worthy petite cakes. The only downside/upside is that no laptops are allowed. So it's great for catching up - not meetings or working.
One of my favorite coffee shop in Toronto (great atmosphere, good people, free wifi). Their house coffee beans are using a local roaster "De Mello Palheta" and they also have monthly featured coffee beans from roasters around the world. They also have varieties of in-house pastries (ie. cookies, croissants, choux, muffins) & of course the Japanese roll cake.
Really rude staff who did not adequately notify that they have a no laptop rule on the weekends . . . were really passive aggressive, constantly dropping little signs onto the table. Of course, waited until we finished our drinks and food we ordered to inform us about this, even though the laptop was out the entire time.
It's nice and quiet place to sit around to enjoy a nice cup of coffee. Immaculate service, the server was considerate of my dietary requirements.
Vanilla latte (with oat milk) was yum
This place is so nice and I love their lattes and roll cakes! Staff have been very kind. I wish they had better menu placement as I can't see until I'm right at the cash register, but It's still one of my favorite places visit.
Genuinely has the best coffee ever & the sweetest staff. Such a cute place. I can’t recommend Neo enough.
Great coffee and great staff! ☺️
I'm sorry, the coffee just isn't that great here. it's slightly above star bucks in terms of quality, which isn't saying much. you're better off with rooster down the street on king or black canary or tandem around the area
Had their Vanilla latte and it was really good!
Wonderful gluten free vegan options. Delicious coffee in a warm and cozy setting.
What a beautiful little coffee bar. The staff is always super friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is warm, modern and relaxing. Of course I can't forget to mention the wonderful food and drinks - I've never had anything bad here. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
Probably best coffee in Toronto. Always happy to come back to this place.
Great matcha drinks and very nice ambience inside. Also bought a the earl grey swiss roll, but was slightly disappointed as the flavors in general were very subtle.
Great quality coffees ! Unlike many other 3rd wave coffee shops this one is open late. Especially loved their imported beans selection from Japan A bit pricey but worth it !
Beautiful Japanese bakery reminds me of my time in Tokyo. Favourite pastry being the cream filled chioux pastry had me thinking about it for days. Staff is excellent and classy to deal with .
One of my favorite cafes in Toronto. I have tried their cashew latte, cheese croissant and Swiss roll with different flavors and I loved them! I wish they have a Wi-Fi connection and more comfortable chairs.
Thier strawberry shortcake probably is my favorite in the city!
The atmosphere, aesthetics, and presentation of this place and their products are amazing.
Terrific food and drinks and even better service from staff members who are always cheerful and never without a smile. It's a nice place to do work with a laptop however they do have a no screens policy from 12pm-4pm on weekends which is not a bad idea! I loved their matcha tea latté and the February Special: Matcha Opera cake.
Neo is one of the cutest coffee shops in the city. Located on an inconspicuous side street, you'll be pleasantly surprised when you enter the cafe. The wooden background is beautiful, and one of the coolest aspects of the space is being able to see the food items being prepared in front of you. The coffee is great, but don't forget to try their roll cakes or croissants!
Really liked this place. Their baked goods are unique and tasty. My matcha latte was strong and flavourful. Good wifi connection, despite there being lots of guests. Seating is a little cramped, especially the shared table in the back is a bit narrow. The door to the washroom is nicely hidden so that it looks like people are walking into and out of a wall to get to the washroom.
Great drinks, food and atmosphere. Had a match latte with oat milk that was so creamy and delicious and a sugar free vegan apple muffin. Lots of options for different dietary restrictions.
The baristas seem to be very knowledgeable about their coffee. Lots of variety of beans and regions! Their roll cake was also very delicious :)
Great Coffee Bar, seems small from the inside but plenty of seats inside. Great coffee options and little cabinet food. The Neo Japanese Choux is worth the try. There always seems to be a line during the weekend but it's worth the wait!
Their coffee is always good. also All desserts are look so pretty. I got sakura cake which is tasty ????
Fresh coffee and nice interior! wish I was able to spend some time there.
Nice cafe with good atmosphere. The food and tea were delicious. A great hangout spot!
Great sandwiches and lattes! Genmaicha lattes are tasty! ????
Students unfriendly place. No one told me that this place has a free wifi only for 1 hour. I paid for overpriced coffee and sandwich (sandwich was not too btw) to study. I understand that they don’t want students to sit and order nothing the whole day, but at least let us know ????
A nice space, contemporary. coffee was good with a select offering of pastries, simple and done well.
Really cool place. Very modern atmosphere with a great food/drink selection. Try the green tea!
Awesome café with great Japanese-inspired deserts and rich-tasting coffee. We were looking to have coffee somewhere downtown and we stumbled upon Neo. I'm definitely glad we did because we will definitely be back. The matcha was perhaps among the best I've had in Canada and the desserts were very tasty, yet not too overpowering or sweet. But the coup-de-gras for me was the coffee. Very rich, creamy and all around tasty. Great place and I definitely recommend it.
Nice Japanese coffee shop in Downtown Toronto! Like there April Special chocolate cheesecake mont blanc
Loved the atmosphere and the design which also had friendly staff. The coffee & the tea is divine. Also the sandwich I had was delicious.
Super cool coffee shop. Their matcha latte is one of the best I've had. It's not too sweet, but very creamy and not watered down in terms of the matcha flavour. Their choux is also a great choice for a snack. They are made in-house, and they pipette the filling before serving it to you! Great coffee shop!
I'm pretty irritated. I was on the hunt for a location with excellent internet and a comfortable environment, a review I read said this was the case. So I drove across town and pre paid for 3 hours and arrived to find out out that laptops and tablet are not welcome on weekends and stat holidays. I was peeved. No idea if anything is good or if the internet is any good, I never had the chance to try, I didn't want to waste the parking I already paid for and had to search for another location to work... I'm writing this so someone else doesn't waste their time and money before coming here and finding out they can't work here...
Exemplary lattés and cappuccino. Rotating roast varieties . Pour overs. Teas and infusions . Japanese inspired pastries and snacks. Cakes can also be ordered in advance. Stylish modern interior and seating at the back in leather banquettes. Hip and friendly.
Decent place to have a coffee in downtown Toronto. The drinks are extremely overpriced. You're paying twice as much as Starbucks and they're already expensive as it is. The staff are extremely talented at making the drinks beautiful so if that's what you're into, then this is the place for you. Tastewise, the drinks are ok. Seating is very limited as this place is very popular.
I can't express how great this place is. Closest gem I've found to Japan. The coffee is fantastic and their pastries are even better. It's run by super friendly people. The roast they use is a one of kind roast by De Mello Palheta and it's just great!
Toronto's new great coffee bar! Very fine espresso, delicate and delicious cakes, and a stylish urban interior.
Great coffee and food, and decent amount of space and outlets to hang out in. Love the Japanese inspired drinks and food. Nice atmosphere and employees are friendly.
I used to love the Frederick location. Somehow, overtime, the staff is not the same and the customer service got lost. Staff no longer smile or make eye contact. Music is not relaxing anymore. Very disappointed and have found another coffee shop to love again.
Great space! They have a good drink menu and awesome cakes, cookies and other items made in house. I also love the limited laptop use on weekends.
Excellent coffee, a little tight on the seating but still a great place for a quick cuppa.
Good coffee especially Machiato.. staff is really helpful
One of my favorite coffee shops in Toronto. Aesthetically pleasing to sit, when open for indoor dining. Tasty baked goods made in house. My favorite: Dark chocolate cookie..not too sweet with a taste of sea salt. Always has rotating flavours of Swiss rolls. Perfect with a latte. Many options for drinks including espresso, coffee, and gourmet teas. Espresso is smooth and strong, which can be made with lots of options. I have been going here for years, even during pandemic. I'm happy there is another location on Bay Street. Can't go wrong here.
Great coffee with interesting baked goods available. A little on the pricey side if you want to get more than just a drip coffee.
Lovely local coffee shop with great Japanese cakes and sandwiches, definitely one of my favourite places in the city.
Been here on several occasions and the baristas make it feel like such a hassle to take my order. I might understand if I was the last customer of the day or if it was hectic busy, but it is always during mid morning, I am the only customer in line and this happens every single time I’m here. The quality is good. However, +$14 for an americano and a sandwich made with white sliced bread is steep. It’s a great location and design, I can understand the appeal, but there are far better coffee shops in that treat you with warmth and give you the same quality.
Their Ethiopian espresso I had was one of my favorite espresso's I have ever had! And their Japanese treats which were hand made the day of were such a combination with the drinks.
Try their strawberry cake roll! I’m not joking u would definitely love it. Sandwiches is also great ????????. Fresh and tasty ????
I live in the neighborhood and have been visiting Neo Coffee Bar regularly since I discovered it in the summer. The items are, admittedly, pricey. But who wouldn’t enjoy a treat once in a while? I liked it until now. My recent experience has been less than pleasant to say the very least. I ordered a whole matcha cake roll about two weeks ago by phone. I was able to pay the next day when I picked it up. The cake was delicious. I put in the exact same order again this week. The barista called back in 2 minutes saying that I had to give my credit card # and pay over the phone. I could hear the owner yelling something at the other end of the phone. Fine, I didn't mind paying in advance but a) I didn't quite understand the sudden change of policy and no explanation was given whatsoever (all I know was that the manager was there and he demanded the customer pay over the phone), and b) I could tell that the barista was embarrassed and was having a hard time. I didn’t want to be difficult so I paid over the phone. I went to pick up the cake the next day and was SHOCKED by the inconsistent quality. The cake DID NOT look like what I had seen before. Last time, it had this moss-green and spongy texture. Now, there were air bubbles everywhere and the color was almost yellowy! The whole cake roll probably weighted only 2/3 of last time. Yet I still paid the same price for it. I don't think the customer experience or service is rightfully justified despite of the nice decor and atmosphere. I will not return to Neo Coffee Bar and would caution people against the tactics of the owner/manager.
Outstanding espresso beverages, though a little on the small side. (Like maybe don't go here if you wanna drown yourself in latte) 2 dollar cream puffs, my goodness are they delicious. The pastries are all fantastic! The only gripe I had was a gum destroyingly hard piece of baguette froma sandwich one time. (In retrospect, yes heat it up... ) Definitely one of my favorite coffee spots.
Excellent espresso drinks, made with precision. Nice atmosphere too. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area.
Choux a la creme is a must try. Coffee is great too, but their pastries are by far the star of the show.
Love love love this place. The coffee and baked goods on so delish. I love the ambiance there as well. I recommend the cake rolls, so soft and love the various flavours. The coffee is also pretty rich and flavourful.
great coffeeshop. their values kind of set them apart from the other coffee shops in the area. instead of focusing on coffee and baked goods (which they do phenomenally btw) they try to create a better community in the king/sherbourne area. weekends and holidays are electronic-free so you may want to find another study spot then. their matcha cookies are a must have and try their feature beans - the quality never disappoints.
Amazing tasting coffee, made with attention and care. Single origins and blends. Nice selection of pastries and deserts to go alongside your coffee. Spacious and quite cosy to spend an hour or two working and sipping coffee
I live in the neighborhood and i like to come here quite often. I get a lattee and its really good. Its definitely better than starbucks. I also get the Chew which is a pastry. The people who work there are very friendly. Thumbs up!!
Legendary coffee shop. Very friendly staff, gorgeous shop, some of the best specialty coffee in Toronto, and INCREDIBLE ROLL CAKES. 10/10
First time here and I got the Kyoto matcha latte as well as the pistachio raspberry roll cake. The cake was really tasty and the matcha was great as well.
Really yummy cookies at this coffee shop and great matcha lattes! I enjoy the atmosphere and the choice of colourful lids for pride!
This place is on a quiet side street on King Street. It has a nice contemporary vibe. I ordered the gyokuro genmaicha which was well prepared. It had the toasty taste of roasted rice with the mellow, buttery taste of the gyokuro. I paired my tea with a daifuku mochi was refreshing. But I prefer a sweeter taste. Combined it was $7.99 not including tax. Overall, I'd recommend coming to relax over a cup of tea with Japanese pastries.
Excellent coffee here. One of my favourite spots in the city along with their cakes and pastries.
Great drinks and desserts, spacious place and excellent ambience. There's also a card for reward system.
Nice seating, cute cafe, yummy sandwiches and pastries, nice and welcoming staff makes for a great cafe. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
Service
I made a visit as I've heard so many good things about this place! Firstly, the bad: the matcha tea I ordered was either not as good quality as it should've been or it was old, or it was burnt when it was mixed with the water. Good matcha should be enjoyable and a little sweet and grassy even without anything added, but this was super bitter and not the most appetizing as I neared the bottom of the cup. For reference, I do brew my own cups regularly at home. The smoked salmon sando also didn't feel too smoked but just too salty? Or maybe I just got an off batch. The good: ordered the matcha white chocolate cookie and the cookie choux — so good!!! The service was also exceptional. The person at the front went above and beyond, and was really kind and patient, so I'll definitely be back very soon.
Wow! Expensive cakes and coffees but sooo good. They have a wonderful cappuccino and that had an amazing Kurogoma cake (Black Sesame) it was so light and fluffy and the cream was delicious not too sweet not to overly sesame just delicious!
One of the best coffee shops in the city. The baristas really know what they're doing and its reflected in the quality of the drinks. The pour over is always consistent and I have yet to find a better cold brew in the city.
Bright and adorable. For the tea drinkers, try the heavenly cream. They also have a really unique selection of pastries - I think I spotted some green tea cake the last time I went.
The cafe is close to Frederick St. and King St. You can use the King St. streetcar and the King subway is within walking distance. The street parking is tricky during the day but there are parking lots in the area. The building and the bathroom are accessible. My friend ordered the Kyoto Matcha Latte and Matcha & Adzuki roll cake and enjoyed both. I ordered the Kurogoma roll cake and Smoke Salmon Cream Cheese sandwich and didn't like either. The flavor was mild and forgettable and portions are small. Considering the price, I don't think it's worth it.
Good place, convenient for laptop working. Flat white was decent one day, cappuccino quite bitter the other day. Matcha latte was good. 2 dollar cream puffs were good too.
Great staff -- they're all such friendly people -- and my favorite matcha in the city.
I’m very disappointed. The cold brew was so watery and tasteless, it felt like I was drinking water with just a light smell of coffee
Beautiful café with attentive staff. The espresso-drinks are perfect and the pastries are excellent! One of the best coffee places in Toronto...see you soon!
Relaxed atmosphere and matcha late was good!
Great coffee and and ambiance.
Coffee is very good here, they have nice Japanese cakes and other snacks. Don't get the raspberry muffin though, because it tasted like paper.
Love this little coffee shop! The attention to detail during the coffee making process with the amazing bakery item is what I love about here. This place is part of the Japanese Kinka chain and it really carries over the Japanese feeling. I would come here to try all their various V60 drip coffee.
Beautiful cafe and their cappuccino was absolute perfection. The staff was super friendly too. I'm really picky about coffee but this place was well worth the 15 minutes walk in the cold and snow! Their pastries looked divine too.
I've always love this place, the ambiance is quite serene and low key. Plenty of seating spaces and a communal table area that seats 10. What's different here is that the space is not cramped--different from other coffee shops in Toronto. Staff are gracious, place is clean, wifi is free... no complaints. The coffee is carefully crafted and deep in flavour. They specialized in Japanese roll cake and OMG so good my favourite is the Earl Gray but the strawberry one is also very delicious. The Matcha white chocolate cookie is also rich in flavour but definitely definitely try their roll cakes! The location is within the George Brown College realm so not too far from the financial district (work for me) yet away from the bustle of the Suits.
My wife and I walked into this coffee shop. The desserts look really good and it smelled amazing. Sadly, there isn't a lot of seating available so we did not stay. We may try again another time if we're visiting Toronto.
Cute and cozy with great coffee and drinks as well as very good matcha cookie!
Really lovely interior, amazing coffee, authentic matcha drinks, and even better treats (their roll cakes are must-haves)!!!
What an amazing and cozy place to grab a cup of coffee before class or during finals. It's very well decorated and the customer service is exceptional! It has easily become my favourite café un the area.
Favorite coffee spot, always buy my beans here because they sell De Mello Palheta. Great staff and delicious pastries.
Neo coffee was excellent in the town. I sudden checked and taste was amazing.
Nice café near ste lawrence market ! wonderful coffee either in espressos or pour over. Quality coffee from De Mello Palheta and others producers from all over the world.
Great little coffee shop, wild selections of coffee and seating is amazing. Only downside is when people take up large amounts of space with there bags and coats while they study here.
Excellent coffee. Their cheese croissant is also incredibly good
Stylish and hand crafted cafe! Always pleasure to stop by and enjoy their creations! Love the Japanese twist with whatever they make!
There are much better coffee shop in the area, including Rooster and The Black Canary. Neo's coffee is just okay and does not make up for the snobby and rude service.
The best espresso in Town! Very nice atmosphere and service. Friendly and professional. Great varieties of little cakes and sandwiches. Love it.
Great tasting high quality coffee, friendly service, and buttery pastry. Highly recommend!
One of my top ten favourite cafes. The black sesame cake is the best, and their matcha lattes are also very good. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Good coffee shop near George Brown. They have a wide range of drinks/sweets. The cafe interior is beautiful and worth a visit.
I'm absolutely obsessed with this cafe ! It's one of my favourite hidden Cafes ever. Very Clean, savouries and sweets are delicious, and the baristas are always helpful and friendly.
