My brother and I continue to buy ground coffee from here. Very pleasant front staff and great tasting coffee. The bag I got was $16 and they ground it for you. Also got a caramel latte ($4) and the froth was just absolutely perfect. Reminded me of what a proper latte was supposed to taste like.

Coffee is a tad pricey, but it's all about the same nowadays. Comfortable place to hang out and work, they provide nice speedy wifi! Coffee is all Ethiopian based blends, they have their own in house coffees. I didn't try the tea or cocktails, but their beverages all looked great!

A nice spot along St. Clair West. I came here on a weekday morning and it was pretty packed with people enjoying their coffee over conversation or working on their laptops. They have Wi-Fi at the cafe, so it’s a cozy spot to work from. Great coffee too! I had their Americano during my visit.

Mofer coffee is my favourite coffee shop! The space has a similar feel to some of the coffee shops that are on the east end in that it's spacious clean and so nice to work in. I enjoy the beautiful handmade wooden tables and authentic Ethiopian decor, also the staff is beyond amazing. In the winter in can be very cozy with fireplaces and nice cushions. Of course no amazing coffee place is complete without delicious drinks. I personally am a huge fan of the Chai lattes. They strain the tea giving you delicious flavour without leaving in a tea bag and having it too strong. You can sweeten it with Ethiopian honey which is a fantastic alternative to the syrup you get at a lot of places. Much healthier! I'm not a coffee drinker myself but my boyfriend loves their coffee and says his stomach is never upset like at some places. My family is from Nova Scotia so everyone I know got a bag of Mofer coffee for Christmas and now I'm not allowed to come home without it. What more can I say, it's the best coffee place on the west side of Toronto. If you haven't tried it, you must.

My favourite place for coffee on the St. Clair strip. The coffee is DIVINE, the staff and service are wonderful. I love to spend time here when I have some work to do on my laptop (ohh HI free wifi), nothing like the smell of freshly roasting coffee beans to get those synapses firing and productivity mode engaged lol and the Ethiopian decor and music that is often playing make it extra VIBES-Y. LOVE MOFER COFFEE!

Stunning little Ethiopian coffee shop with delicious drip coffee. I had the Harrar blend which was a chocolatly light roast, and it was so good I had to buy a bag. They do iced versions of all their blends so I'm going to try that next time I stop by/ stock up. Worth the trip to St. Clair if you're a coffee lover!

Fresh tasting coffee with an authentic Ethiopian ambience. I won’t grab my coffee from this place on daily basis because it’s more pricy than other shops. Tip to management: include more no-milk options (Silk soy milk is not the greatest). Also, train your staff to better explain the different coffee flavours.

I'm reluctantly doing this review because it's my favourite spot in the city and I don't want the secret to get out! The coffee is wonderful and earthy (Ethiopian roasts are less acidic, I find, which I prefer) a good array of pastries and the place has a light whiff of freshly roasted, buttery, coffee. Low on Hipsters (a plus for me ;) and plenty of long, natural wood tables to settle into a bit of work, reading or a conversation with friends. Lots of natural light and also beautifully lit. Few places in the city are owned by people who come from the places where the coffee is actually grown, so Mofer, is also unique in that way. Plus the owners are wonderful, friendly people. And that fireplace is super cozy!

I love how Mofer is so proudly Ethiopian. They have wi-fi, and a continual hum of quiet jazz music. The atmosphere is warm and contemporary, and the menu is comprehensive. They also use Genuine Tea, a lovely direct-trade tea company based in Toronto. They take their beans quite seriously (roasted in-house daily). The service is lovely. Great place to get work done.

Quiet vibe--there are armchairs if you want to feel cozy, and tables if you want to work--and the coffee is really great. Only downside is that the baked goods are the same generic catered scones, cookies etc that you find in countless coffee spots in Toronto--they are fine, just not special. Otherwise, this is one of the best coffee shops in this stretch of St Clair.

Honestly, one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had! Each one of their roasts has such vibrant flavor and I find that they are each very unique and special. All of the coffee comes from Ethiopia and is roasted in-house. Amazing and super courteous service in a very relaxing and cosy atmosphere. You really must try it out. You will not be disappointed!

So much looking forward to it due to amazing reviews, but it was just nothing more than okay. The coffee tasted burnt. I ordered a cup of cortado and the barista made it like a cappuccino. Also, they always use disposable cups even for customers staying at the cafe! What a waste!

When I walk in, I'm immediately taken by the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee; the warm, welcoming atmosphere and captivating Ethiopian décor. I am always greeted with a genuine smile by the lovely lady who owns the establishment, which makes me feel right at home. On the occasions when I've been to Mofer, an exquisite style of music has been playing in the background. I've discovered that it's called Ethio-jazz - a unique blend of many different genres, some of which include traditional Ethiopian music, jazz, Afro funk and reggae. Ok, I've spoken enough about the incredible ambience - here's my opinion on the menu! Steep & Filter Brew - This is the ultimate way to enjoy coffee. When the process is complete you get a fresh, full-flavoured and strong brew that will tantalize your tastebuds. After one sip, you'll be convinced that Ethiopian coffee is the queen of the bean. Chai latte and Turmeric latte - Both are aromatic, distinctive, creamy and delightful with the perfect blend of spices. Pulled vegan mushroom sandwich - Delicious, wholesome and filling. This, as well as many of Mofer's other food options, are prepared by Foodbenders, using fresh and locally-sourced ingredients. Pecan square - A buttery, rich and satisfying treat!

Something really new for this neighbourhod. An openspace that seems like a co-working place with confortable squared large tables and with new trendy yellow bulbs lights hanging all around. The finally here comes your tasty coffee with "Italian Tazzina" or not. I spent 20 minutes in this relaxing place.

I have bought roasted beans on-line several times from Mofer. The quality of the beans, esp the Harrar has been excellent. On one occasion where Canada Post 'misplaced' my order, I was able to reach them (Milkyas Tefera, I think) by phone and they sent a replacement shipment. Too bad that the prices have been creeping up, but you get what you pay for - hopefully some of the higher prices are filtering done to the producers.

This coffee shop is my favorite place to hang and do my work. I really like this place because it has a good ambiance and not too crowded as well. The coffee and pastries that they had were so delicious. The barista was so friendly and pleasant to talk with. One thing that I got fascinated by this place. They had the most affordable and delicious coffee in town.

Our local coffee shop with something for everyone. Coffee is roasted in house and they have several single source beans from different areas of Ethiopia. My personal favourite is their Harrar pour over coffee: it's such a good cup of coffee it will make you weep years of joy. "Black excellence" describes this place: this is an inclusive and welcoming space for locals of all kinds. The owners remember your name and your order. I love it here. Lots of plugs so you can work. The plugs even have USB ports. Thoughtful touches. Good with kids. Free wifi. Come for a visit!
