Good concept, some poor execution. Can see why this is popular with the hipsters. Right next to a cannabis shop! Some lovely art work! Shame the hot chocolate wasn’t to my liking as it is a bit sweet. I’d recommend going with something like Milo instead as a unique offering - can’t speak to the coffee but believe it to be good. Donuts are amazing but are put in a bag so the topping ends up on the paper rather than on the donut. Nice place though - worth a try. Edit: I amended some of my comments as I received a polite reply from the cafe - always a good sign in my book. Thanks for taking the time to review my feedback and apologies if it was a little harsh initially.

Beautifully decorated and spacious, you can relax and enjoy a 'magic' or one of the many other lovingly poured drinks. Make this a regular stop and you won't be disappointed.

Great venue, but definitely not my type of coffee. Self roast often provide you with a light, vinegry and herby taste. Personally, prefer a rich italian coffee with a nice crema for my espresso. Again, this is personal taste.

The Coffee: I got their version of a cortado which is called a Magic. It was magic. Still savouring it now as I write this review about an hour later. The Sweets: Suzy Q Donuts. Went along perfectly with the coffee. Those cookies looked pretty good too, so maybe next time. The Service: Nothing can ruin a good coffee shop experience more than the wrong kind of people. But the ones working here were all very pleasant and genuinely friendly. You can tell the locals love this spot, as they wait in line- it's not like a Starbucks where they are just apathetically expecting to be served what they ordered- no they are eagerly anticipating something special. I imagine that during peak times there's a bit of a wait, but it would be worth it here. Pricing: I picked up 2 of those Magics, 1 Huge Suzy Q donut, and it was only about 10-11$ plus tip. (These people are working across the street from a construction zone in the heat while wearing masks, make sure to tip them) Atmosphere: I'll update this when the pandemic restrictions are over, but they are making the best of a bad situation. Overall, I feel bad for any coffee lover that doesn't know about this place.

Big fan of Little Victories! I’ve been a handful of times and never had a bad experience. It’s definitely a small space but it’s inviting and clean and modern looking. Their coffee is unreal, they roast their own beans and have several milk alternatives (including macadamia nut milk which I’ve never seen!). The service is efficient and the staff stays cool under pressure when the store fills up. I, too, am a barista and I think little Victories is killing the coffee game.

Little Victories is quite simply the best coffee shop in Ottawa. It has ethically traded beans, direct from the grower, a great vibe because it’s always full of good people. It’s revolutionized the espresso scene in Ottawa. Now, let me address the quality of the product. Look no further than my 5 star rating. Technically, the barista’s are outstanding, they love their craft & deliver a good coffee in every season of the calendar year. Their flat white is unparalleled, their filter & speciality coffees are exceptional & their cold brew nitro is world class. I gladly spend too much time at Little Victories, and can I suggest you waste no time & head there right away.

Highly recommended! Worth checking out especially during Covid-19, such a tough time for so many, but also a time when Ottawa’s best coffee can still be procured, for the time being from an adorable shipping container powered by solar panels. Find it tucked into the laneway behind the Bank Street storefront. Way to make the best of a bad situation. Plus the staff is nice AF.

Very cute place, with good coffee, and Suzy Q donuts ???? The staff is super friendly and can make a great coffee. It's a bit small on the inside but the staff never rushes you to leave. Parking was a bit tough in the area, but that's the Glebe for you. Suzy Q donuts we're good, but I still prefer to get them from Suzy Q directly. I enjoyed my visit, and would recommend them to anyone in the area.

Fantastic atmosphere and the pour over Kenyan is briskly refreshing. Although the serving quantity for a pour over is somewhat tiny, it was a wonderful cup of pour over. At $5, it's not the cheapest cup of pour over by any measure, but the enjoyment factor is worth a return visit when I am in the neighbourhood. I personally pour an exception pour over, so this is all the compliment this place needs. Good Job.

Favorite coffee place turned worst after a weird incident at this place. I went there for a coffee this Saturday with a friend and we ordered coffee. After we were done, I was not sure if I should just leave the cups at the table or if they have a place where I can put the cups. I went to ask the guy at counter where should I put the cups and he literally just snatched the cups from me. I was shocked to see such a behavior from them since I loved this place but seems like after this incident I might not suggest anyone to go here.

Only giving 4 stars because of the weird tipping option where you’re basically forced to add a $1 or $2 tip to your $4 coffee - would suggest putting a percentage option, instead of a round dollar amount!

Ordered my coffee online at 7pm. Coffee arrived at my doorstep 3pm next day delivery. Unreal service at the best of times let alone in the middle of a pandemic. As for the coffee...it’s second to none in the Ottawa region and the 7-10 split espresso works so well with my Gaggia classic at home.

Everyone needs a guy, a spot and a squad. In my coffee life Andy is my guy, this is my spot and LV are the best roasting, serving squad in the city. Now with only one location and in partnership with Suzy Q donuts, this place gets busy in a hurry. If possible go between 9 and 1030 early in the week. If you're a coffee conisouer order the single origin pour over. If you like milk in your coffee, do yourself a favour, get the magic.

Would not come back here again. Staff didn't bother to see who was queueing and allowed others to cut the line. Not only was the staff not very friendly in taking my order, they were very clear in showing how they do not care who's their customer. Drink that were ready were just left at the pick-up counter with no calls made or no labels to show what the drinks were. Staff clearly needs to be better in customer service.

Fantastic little cafe. On our most recent visit they were out of donuts, at first this seemed like a disaster, however, I noticed they had 2 brownies. Honestly, best purchase of my entire life. This may seem like an exaggeration, it is not. It was the best Brownie no holds bar. End of story, purchase a brownie, name your child after me. You're welcome.

The staff: I have come here twice this past month, and both times the staff were very friendly. They would answer my questions about the drinks they offered, and were very helpful all around. - They delivered my doughnuts and coffee straight to my table. I don't know if that's regular practice but it was really appreciated. - Last time I went, I spilled my drink accidentally and the guy got me napkins without asking. The drinks & food: The coffee is amazing! I've gotten their Americano, and their latte. Both were very good. They add a beautiful design on their coffee for beautiful pictures, which I love, and it tastes just as delicious as it looks! - Their doughnuts come from Suzy Q, I do not know if they are made in store or delivered to Little Victories, but they taste very fresh. If delivered they must be made every day. - They have a wide selection of doughnuts and even offer some vegan ones. I tried the do-nut and the cherry bomb, and both were wonderful. Even though the do-nut was vegan, it tasted amazing! The store: The store is smaller, but they made most out of their design, with simple but beautiful decorations. They have 4 small tables for couples and one big table for a group of 6. Also on the side they have benches one can sit on too. - The music they play is good and not too loud which is good. It is a good place to read or chat. The price: It is a good price for it's quality. -The donuts if I recall are $3 each, but they are also some of the best doughnuts I have had. The specialty coffees are $4 for a 8-ounce, which I still find reasonable for their quality. - On the pricier-side but with reason. All in all, I absolutely love this café. If you're going with friends, try to get a group of doughnuts, it's cheaper for more!

One of the best coffeehouse experiences I've ever had. I got a piccolo. which they make at LV in a tiny 3-oz Duralex cup and manage to pull off beautiful, symmetrical latte art on such a tiny canvas- and this is free-pour latte art, not "etching" which even an unskilled barista can do. The drink itself was beyond delicious. Perfect balance, perfect milk texture, perfect temperature, just....perfect.

I was so excited to hear this local coffee roaster was opening a coffee shop in the Glebe, and it did not disappoint. Definitely the most cutting edge, trendy coffee shop in Ottawa right now. Quality coffee focused, the slow drip coffee is well worth the wait. Every employee asked us how our coffee is while we thoroughly were enjoying them. Very good coffee but do ask for a macchiato. They decided to have a menu that does not include macchiato (that is, the North-American version which consists in expresso with a bit of foam top), but instead, a piccolo (a sort of strong baby latte). So when I asked for macchiato, and in fact I insisted and asked them to just put some foam on top of a double expresso, they refused (!) saying that they "stick to the menu". So I ended asking for a double expresso and some foamed milk separately, and made my own macchiato on the spot...hm, not planning to go back soon...

Bright, open, clean coffee shop in the Glebe with a minimalist aesthetic. They use ethically sourced beans that they roast here in Ottawa, with a focus on lighter roasts. They sell their coffee in compostable paper bags if you want some to take home with you, and they also offer a coffee bean subscription service on their website. Great customer service, super tasty croissants, and a killer Americano. Would definitely recommend.

I had originally given this coffee shop three stars based on my first experience here. At the time I was in a rush and needed a quick coffee to go. My americano was great but I wasn’t impressed with the service. After a couple of months I decided to give this place another try. I was in the neighbourhood and had an intense Suzy Q craving. I ordered a flat white (the best I’ve had in the city) and a donut and grabbed a seat. I was genuinely surprised by the attentiveness of the staff and their attention to detail with their post sale service. I have yet to have this sort of of customer experience at other coffee shops in the city. I have since been a regular weekend client. A great little place in the Glebe.

Hands down, the single greatest coffee roasters I have ever tried. If you are a fan of coffee. The 7-10 split espresso is as close to African civet cat coffee I have ever had. Incredibly well balanced, delicious notes of citrus and cocoa on the end. I have tried every single place around. Ranked shopes in Montreal. Ordered online for ridiculous prices from all over the place. LVC takes the cake. Your search is over, now go buy some coffee.

EDIT: Our issue was resolved after leaving the review. Thanks again for your customer service! This is a tough review to write. Little Victories is a cute and high quality coffee shop that my husband and I visit almost every day. As we are leaving to head back to our home country, we wanted to have something from Ottawa to bring with us. So we choose to purchase a Little Victories Hoodie, even though it was expensive. Unfortunately the delivery man left it outside our locked building and the CCTV caught that it was stolen 5 mins later. We did choose the free delivery option, but we had wished that either they hadn’t delivered it in an open bag, showing clearly what was inside. Or that they had waited to deliver it, since they couldn’t get into our building. When contacting the shop about it, they offered to sell us another sweater for $40. We chose this option, since we didn’t want to be out a sweater and our money. The owner seemed kind and apologetic and also offered me a free cup of coffee. But to be honest, I still don’t feel valued as a customer. I really didn’t plan on spending this much for the sweater, but I am glad we’ve come to a compromise. It just felt like the shop wasn’t taking responsibility for their driver making a poor delivery choice. Asking for more money to receive an item we already paid is really disappointing.

Little Victories is just one of the multitude of new independent coffee shops popping up in Ottawa lately. With an undoubtably clean chic vibe, the hip music and friendly staff makes this location one of the best in the Glebe/Old Ottawa South area. Seating is limited and often full because of it's popularity so don't be surprised if you have to take your coffee to go.

You get an email notification when it has been dropped off at your door, and they wrote a custom note on the bag. The coffee is phenomenal, and my at-home lattes taste better than they ever have. Packaging is also very eco-friendly (all brown paper). I will order again in the future.

This is a cute little cafe. We ordered two coffees and a tea, my mum and I shared a little cake (it was a coconut, yogurt and berry cake) and my dad had a bakewell slice. They were so tasty and fresh, I didn't actually want to share mine with my mum at all We sat outside and relaxed, all the tables are clean and the staff drop the coffees out no problem. There seemed to be a good few people there too, I'd imagine it's a busy spot. Will be back, coffee was spot on.

I've only had the espresso, but it's easily the best Ottawa has to offer. The espresso blend is nicely balanced, with a pleasant acidity and REALLY nice chocolatey finish (I've had it at the shop and I buy the beans). They also have some really fun single origins if you want to explore what coffee has to offer. You really owe it to yourself to give it a try if you haven't already.

Fast and friendly service and excellent coffee. I only ever get Americanos here so I can’t comment on other items. There are lots of great coffee shops in the Glebe but Little Victories accept Apple Pay which is the main reason it has become my go-to place for coffee - so convenient when you’re just on a quick break! (One star off for being a wee bit pricy). EDIT: the prices are comparable with other cafés in the area, but I find nearly all café prices to be too high.

Gave Little Victories a go after reading that one of their founders had spent time working as a barista in Melbourne. Us Aussies can be very picky (snobbish even) about our coffees, and honestly we had struggled to find decent coffee since getting here, but these guys have absolutely nailed it! We’ve been back to Little Victories a few times now and the coffee is consistently good, as in Australian standard good!

This will sound weird, but in a way I hate Little Victories because they've made it near-impossible for me to enjoy coffee elsewhere in Ottawa anymore. I started going there for my daily coffee fix about a year ago, and even if I'm in the market and want coffee I will literally walk the half hour in pouring rain just to go to Little Vic's instead of settling for mediocre coffee somewhere else. The reason is that in my 12 years of living in Ottawa, nowhere else comes close to as good an Americano or Nitro brew. I haven't tasted coffee as creamy and smooth as here ever before. To top if all off, the owners and staff are all really cool, down to earth and super friendly.

Delightful coffee and doughnuts. You can really tell they care about their craft! Mostly friendly staff except for the tall brunette Australian dude who is pretentious and pretty rude. My gf asked them to add a tea bag to one of their beverages a while ago and the response was ‘I mean, I’m not going to make two drinks for you’; assuming she was trying to get a two for one or something. We said we would pay for the extra teabag, but the response was so off putting that we just decided to leave. He did apologize for coming off as rude which was appreciated, but just left a bad taste in our mouths!
