This Coffee Shop belongs to the category of Coffee store.
Great for casual meets and quality eats! Oh, and the coffee ain't bad either ????
Great place Busy. Good beverages and service was pretty quick.
Fairly priced, tables are sometimes all taken, nice niche place they've established. The drinks are alright - but nothing spectacular. The environment and coffee for me isn't enough to warrant a visit over Starbucks and the ilk.
I recently visited the Green Beanery store to shop for a new high-end coffee maker, overwhelmed by the choice between a Technivorm Moccamaster and a Bonavita machine. I chose them because I figured I'd find an expert coffee geek who would know the machines inside and out and could help me make the right choice for my needs. I was initially disappointed, as the two women on duty the afternoon I came in did not have much knowledge about the products. They were very nice and helpful, but went to their own web site for answers to my questions. The $75 coffee credit offered with the Technivorm helped me decide to go with that machine, as it largely offset the price difference between the machines I was considering. I bought the KBG-741. The next morning I made my first half-pot of coffee and was very disappointed to find it was very watery. Some more research led me to find that I ought to have bought a model with the manual filter basket adjustment, which lets you slow down the water flow for smaller batches. I reached out to Green Beanery for help. Julia listened to my concern and put me in touch with the supplier for the expert advice I had come to Green Beanery for. She also agreed to allow me to exchange my machine, making a rare exception to the company policy on taking back used stuff. In the meantime Jordon at Transcend Coffee (the supplier) gave me some tips, and in the end sent me replacement parts that allowed me to easily swap my filter basket & the supporting bracket to turn my machine into one with the manual adjustment. I just made my first half-pot with the new parts, and the problem is now fixed. While I was initially disappointed that I didn't find the coffee geek expert I had expected at the time I visited Green Beanery, in the end they took responsibility for my purchasing error and put in the time and effort needed to make me happy. Oh, and the coffee I got with the $75 coffee credit is pretty good too!
Coffee lovers rejoice! The coffee that they serve here is so so, but they sell a variety of coffee machines, accessories and coffee beans. I never knew coffee as a hobby can become so expensive!
Nice cafe, food is average, but the service is not the greatest. Waited 15-20 min for a peanut butter and jelly bagel and the place was not even busy.
Stick to coffee, tea and sweets. I had the smallest sandwich (cheese steak) there the other day, they heated it up with the fresh greens on it which were gross. And for the size it was definitely overpriced. On a positive note, the washroom is clean, and on the main floor, so it's possibly wheelchair accessible.
Staff seems a little uninterested but they do have great beans. Pricey though! Return policy on appliances isn't that great either but some appliance come with coffee credits that can be used to purchase coffee beans here which might be worthwhile. Edit: Most recently, I ordered V60 coffee filters from the Green Beanery website and they arrived on time but the return address indicated that the sender was Queen Bean at 10 - 2009 Lawrence Avenue West. The filters were the wrong kind, however. I expected them to be in a box and untabbed but I was sold the tabbed version in plastic packaging. Not the best filters. Also, I'm not sure which business I'm dealing with or whether they're the same.
Great price, giant portions and a diverse variety of decent vegetarian food that can easily convert a traditional paleo eater
Great vibe, coffee and tea and convient to get to. Definitely got food poisoning from a sandwich though. Would highly recommend tossing checking if food is going bad, and more stringent cleaning. I ate an hour to close, so it could just be because it was end of day.
Great coffee place in a convenient place. Staff are very friendly. They have great French press with different coffee selection. Definitely consider try this. Good way to try different roast before buying. Like the scones and sandwich too. There's also a actually bank vault you can reserve. So cool.
To be honest, I only come here to buy coffee equipment but they always have what I need and at great prices. Order online to pick up in the store so that there are no surprises. Knowledgeable staff but sometimes they are very busy.
The coffee is good but the bakery is horrible
Its the only decent place to get coffew within 500 metres or so. Itd always busy. The decor is nice but not as cozy as I like a coffeeshop
They have good food and drinks, but I've never had great experience with service. It's not slow or anything, just not overly friendly. I feel like they just want people in and out, which I understand because they are busy, but it comes across as unwelcoming. They also don't have wifi, which is a bit annoying to find out once you've sat down and ordered a drink. I think it's just a standard thing to offer in a cafe now, so as a business owner I might rethink that.
Slow , slow , slow service. Need new furniture. Very busy store. Maybe they could reconsider some new layout. 5* only for coffee quilty.
Looks nice but some overly-dramatic employees. Me and my classmate went there to get coffee. He decide to buy one of the coffee grinders and it took them 20 minutes to find out the price for him. I got a latte and a cookie, but the cookie was so overly stale and dry i had to ask them - very politely - to change it. The "baristas" started getting really dramatic and said they didn't know what i was talking about. I explained i have sensitive gums... anyway, I honestly was worried the guy would break down crying! Finally I had to switch with a totally new flavour that was no better in its staleness. I paid over $7 for a small latte, and a cookie that felt more like a piece of rock to chew than something edible.
Great place! We came here almost every day to have a good coffee in the morning during our vacations in Toronto. Service was nice, coffee was good! We had a good time!
Love Green Beanery, it’s cozy and comfortable. It is a nice place to meet friends.
Truly a great place for not only amazing coffee but if you need to get your espresso machine or French press fixed, come here!
Loved the hot chocolate, it was amazing.
The coffee is great!!! The staff seem to be too busy, most of the time, to fully serve their customers. They do not communicate with each other. I waited over 10min for a smoked salmon bagel. I had to speak up and no one had a clue. The cashier disappeared to grind coffee for the duration of my time waiting for my food. I will not be back, too bad, I just moved I to the neighbourhood.
this place haz got the coolbeanz on lockdown. knock out coffee!
This is a very Montreal-esque bohemian hangout. It's been here for a while and it serves great coffee. Definitely worth coming to for a meet-up or just to watch Honest Ed's traffic while enjoying a hot brew. They have anything from Espresso to Crepes with Spinach+Cheese. Good place with a soul.
Decent coffee. They sell a pretty large selection of coffee makers and accessories as well
Superb coffee with a reasonable size sandwich where you can also buy coffee and brewing accessories.
Love this place! Super friendly staff plus with great varieties of drinks and snacks.
Very cool spot. Hit or miss music. Overall very nice place to have a coffee or tea.
What kind of coffee shop doesn't have wifi?!
Good coffee, good food, good service, and good value. Will come again. They also have a really neat private room - the vault room - which can be rented for a very reasonable price.
Nice atmosphere, kinda popular, great lattes. Decently great for work meetings or simply for a good coffee.
For a place that looks promising from the outside is really quite ok. Ordered a double shot espresso which seems a tad bit burnt and smoked salmon, creme cheese with red onion and dill. The bagel is strictly ok. Have had better bagels from Walmart. No wifi which is a also tad bit disappointing. Coffee places all over the world are synonymous with wi-fi. It's ok for a one time visit not more. Need to check out their coffee on sale though. Looks promising.
My favourite place to go for coffee with girlfriends. The crepes and coffee never disappoint.
Great selection of unroasted beans.
I get my roasted beans here weekly. Great beans and good service. Just wish they use paper or compostable bags for their beans instead of plastic. Will update to 5 stars when it changes!
Horrible service. Waited for 40 minutes for a grilled cheese sandwich after my friend had finished her meal. I had to argue with the servers that I had in fact paid and that no one had taken my order. When I finally got my sandwich it was small and definitely not worth the time and the hassle.
Nice spot with good coffee. The mocha is a contender for best in Toronto. There’s no WiFi, which is not great for a coffee shop. Many of the chairs/tables could use replacing. —————— Follow me on Instagram @yamisohungry for more
Good place to buy your coffee utensils and supplies, good place for drinks as well
It is very dirty and messed up place. Ever where stinks egg. Never recommend!
I ordered a tropical fruit slush and still have no clue what I got that day. It tasted like strawberry. My gf tried it too and she didn't seem to believe that it was (supposed to be) made of tropical fruits. Well, don't get me wrong. The drink itself was decent. Not too sweet not too plain. Unfortunately Im not a big fan of strawberries. And that was not what I expected.
Good food, well made drinks, somber staff
It’s a nice enough place but nothing outstanding. Service and food are always mediocre. Location and coffee is great so it’s a decent spot to meet up with people. No wifi.
Great coffee! After all these starbuckses!!! Very tasteful:)
Great independent coffee shop with healthy snacks
Great place to disconnect for a little while enjoying your Caramel Latte and Banana Nutella crepes ????
A friendly, cozy place to relax, have a chat with a friend, or read.
Great coffee, try the vegan chocolate chip cookie
Place is nice but really overpriced. Eating my croissant was like having a piece of butter in my mouth and my husband toast was literally 2 bites. Won't go again
Great place for everything coffee. Everything.
Delicious matcha lattes and a very nice open space!
They are climate change denying lobbyists.
I appreciate the sentiment of the section for fair trade goods, but the actual coffee shop is so crammed with no seating. And they don't have a microwave so my scone realllly didn't hear up well
The latte was delicious and the cookie I had was fantastic. Hard to find a place to sit but very nice little spot
Very good coffee for those who love their espresso strong tasteful. The presentation is excellent as well. A must stop for coffee lovers.
It's not for profit, but the money goes to climate change denial. Coffee is OK though.
Really yummy coffee with a hipster vibe.
Nice little coffee shop. Ample seating and nice selection of hot beverages and snacks.
A place to try different kind of bean, check website
No WiFi... What kind of Cafe doesn't than WiFi???
Delectable treats and drinks! Hipster ambiance, a welcome alternative to Starbucks.
Not loud, inexpensive, good food, good coffee, great atmosphere.
Excellent selection of coffee makers. And very knowledgeable staff, but some know more than others. Also can blend and roast your own coffee.
Yummy coffee. So busy!
Such a chill place! Often really busy, but service is fast and coffee is great!
Great coffee shop beautiful view out onto Bathurst street you can watch the world go by on a rainy day....no wifi which I love. I read the paper there!!! Yes I'm talking about an old fashioned newspaper!!
It has good coffee and is in a convenient location, but has no public WiFi and I was given attitude when I asked for the code to use the washroom. They really do need to enhance their customer service skills.
This place has everything that a good coffee shop should have. Tasty sandwiches, wonderful cakes and great coffee.
Great selection of coffee beans and equipment They even have green coffee beans! The place is spacious and even have private rooms. But weekends and towards end of the day tends to get busy. Good thing is they've consult been good with their coffee and a good location too.
Great atmosphere. Staff was really nice. The fact that you know the profucts used for each pastry is great regarding food allergies or intolerance. The oatmeal raisin cookie is delicious.
Good coffee shop, homey and nice baked goods. A bit busy if you sit near the store part of the cafe, but not too loud and a nice place to meet people.
The apple cherry crumbles that I ordered was pretty good!
Love this cafe. My only comment is that if you order a latte, tea or coffee you need to add your own syrup/sweetener and honey. I didn't know so I had a very bitter London Fog and next time will use the provided syrups and sugars and whatnot. The cucumber cream cheese and turkey sandwich is a must try. Hit the spot perfectly!
Definitely one of the cutest coffee shops in Toronto and they have the freshest beans by far. Staff was super nice and helpful there was hardly a wait at all and on top of that the beans are roasted the same day I have never made cold brew that’s tasted quite as fresh. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a pleasant atmosphere and excellent beans.
I like this place. A great location, good coffee, fast service. The only thing is they should have more tables here. It's not easy to find a free table
Carrot cake! Yumm! I like to drink coffee here!
Very good place for drinking coffee or tea
One of my favorite cafe to enjoy coffee or hibiscus iced tea ????????????
Coffee was great. Staff making the coffee really didn't seem to want to be there. Not a smile to be seen and certainly not very friendly.
Coffee was good and the price is reasonable.
Excellent but sometimes a bit slow
Unfortunately, it took forever to make my coffee and then they got the order wrong.
Overpriced cafe for the area, think the owner thinks they are in Yorkville clearly. Nice atmosphere, seating isn't very comfortable and a bit crowded. Otherwise place is great
One of the best coffee houses in Toronto.
Cozy place. But overpriced. A slice apple cake is 6.99?? Come on!.
Nice coffee place with a big selection. The baristas were nice and friendly.
Good atmosphere a little busy and tables are very close together. Also no wifi!
Great coffee bean selection, from affordable to exotic and expensive. The service is also friendly and knowledgeable. It's also a great place for coffee and snacks. Will try the brunch one day. My favourite in Toronto.
best place in toronto for beans
It's a nice, different coffee shop. I like that they sell different types of beans. The coffee made there is good but not incredible. The environment is nice and chill.
Lovely busy hum, bright window, cool coffee supplies, you can eat well.
Best roasters in the City. Would be better if staff where a little more aware though of beans.
A nice little cozy place for a coffee and catching up with friends. They don’t have wifi but they’re vision is to encourage more face to face interactions.
The best! I apologise for not rating sooner. Product and service top quality. Staff are attentive and care about the customer, big or small, all! My beans are done just right every month and i share with friends. Worth the premium for sure. One small or big issue depending on how you perceive "it". Canada Post delivery post pandemic is truly the worst ever and continues to slide even further down to the bottom. Time to consider alternative. Losing 10 days of fresh is painfull. Cheers!!????
I enjoyed my ethically farmed coffee beans brewed into coffee. I perused though the coffee makers they offer and was flabbergasted on the amount of contraptions available to pound out that sweet creamy bean nectar.
Great cafe where you can connect with friends, read, attend a talk, and more. They don’t have wifi to help ensure it’s not one of those cafes where everyone has their noses in their phones or their laptops.
Not impressed. Maybe I'm past paying too much for a simple coffee. But excellent atmosphere and nice to look at place. Good staff too.
Love this place. Good for coffee beans, and tea, drinks, and even gluten free sandwich options! Great space to work in, especially for those lovers of wifi-free zones
Very good coffee and amazing supply of hard goods. If you love coffee and you're in the area, it's worth stopping.
I've had some decent drinks here, but since I'm really not comfortable with the causes they support (seems very anti-science) I'm dropping a star. I would normally give it a three if it weren't for that- but I have to be honest in my review. If you don't really care about their politics or are okay with supporting their causes, go ahead.
The food is great and i like thier menu. The staff are nice but need to familiarize themselves with the menu. My order was fairly simple but it took several staff to get my order correct.
Drink and dessert were ok. If you are looking for a cozy place opens late for quiet conversation I think this is good place to go.
Great variety of coffee, coffee equipment - and extremely helpful
Great little cafe with excellent coffee, not too far from the U of T campus. Every once in a while they have guest speakers come in and give talks about current events and issues! They also have an excellent selection of coffee beans (they roast them on site) and brewing equipment! Only downsides are the lack of WiFi (though it limits the number of laptop zombies, and makes it ideal for actual conversation), and they currently don't take cash. (though they are working on it)
It's a nice enough place to sit and hang out, but the service is horribly slow, and frankly pretty rude the several times I've been in. It's a silly game of whoever makes eye contact first. There are an average of 3 people behind the counter each time I've been in, and its still so slow. I waited 10 minutes for a latte, and then another 5 for it to be remade because it wasnt what I'd ordered. AND THEN I come to learn they don't have the size I ordered, she just didn't say anything and gave me the small. Very expensive for what little you get. Save your money for one of the other cafes in the area- I'd even recommend Starbucks down the street before this place. Bonus: your money goes toward climate change denial.
Has soy milk, no extra charge for it with an Americano if you add it yourself (they leave it on the bar). They had vegan cherry pie while I was there, but I didn't get a chance to try it. Looked good though!
They have a great selection of roasted and unroasted coffee beans. If you join their Coffee of the Week club, they have great deals for online orders. I usually purchase the beans online for the deal, and then pick them up in store. They also have a great variety of coffee equipment. Their service is pretty slow though if you order food in store. I ordered a sandwich to go, and I was waiting for a long time even though it was the only food order they were working on.
No wifi, only one washroom with a code.... Interesting for a coffee shop
I felt like I was lost in a labyyrinth of large, uncomfortable leather chairs
Great coffee. Lots of other eats but sadly most are not dairy free.
Nice selection of items and coffee,
Delightful place with amazing service for this delicious coffee. Catch up close to Bathurst subway..
I bought my coffee press from the Green Beanery Online... But I wanted to pick-it up ASAP so they sent me to their local store... Good price and service.
This place supports climate denial research.
One of my favorites for coffee shops in the city.
No WiFi and I feel like a cranky old man when they ask me to tip on a matcha latte which costs $5.09...
Great coffee here and massive selection of coffee paraphernalia, plus home-roasted beans from all over the world. Crepes are okay but croissant sandwiches better.
I don't drink coffee so I can't speak to that side of things but I do enjoy stopping by every so often for their tea (some great flavours and they have a Lemon ginger tea which is a bonus in my opinion) and just sitting by the window reading a book. It's a nice place to just chill out ... away from the noisy intersection and street ... which is just outside.
Coffee good. Service can be slow
Home of coffee culture. All the gear for brewing, roasting and a great cafe.
Overpriced, pretentious, way too crowded. But the staff works hard and deserves your kindness.
There's usually a place to sit here, the prices are par with other local coffee shops. They also have an impressive selection of coffee paraphernalia that'd be great for any addict.
This cafe is delightful! The coffee is great the service is amazing and the atmosphere is so nice to sit in. I love sitting there and reading or meeting friends for a nice cup of coffee! Great place to sit and study, read a book, or meet friends. AMAZING!
A bit overpriced but solid coffee and treats.
Great coffee, great atmosphere, more windows needed for public access!
Pretty good, good coffee, nice decor. No wifi and no outlets.
Cute little spot. Lots of variety. Sells consumables and take home items. Gluten free menu available. Moderate pricing. Very friendly and helpful staff
Great coffee and great food for really reasonable prices (like 5.95 for a very good sandwich [unheard of in downtown Toronto])!
It was busy but the service was excellent. Wonderful atmosphere and the most delicious hot chocolate I've had (and trust me, I've tried MANY)
Coffee is great but not the best out there.
I only order green beans. I love the beans and variety of coffee. Customer service is great too.
Great place...they have a large and great selection of coffee beans you can take home...also have great instore options like blue mountain and hawaain kona that you can get french pressed. Staff is very polite, and knowledgeable about the coffee they sell...i have not been to a coffee roaster of this calibre before, and i have been to quite a few before.. You guys are doing a great job, thank you for bringing back rwandan and costa rican honey processed...this place is for true lovers of coffee and the experience. I had a few friends who thought starbucks was the best coffeeshop in the world, but only go to green beanery now since i took them..
Buddy in a review said that he has been there multiple times and the espresso machine was broken. If I were so lucky... The espresso there sucks.
We were drawn by the smell of the fresh coffee being roasted, while randomly walking around in the neighborhood on a Sunday evening. We were too full to eat anything but tried their chocolate which was delicious!
Pretty good place. Nice coffee, pretty good atmosphere.
Lot of options to choose from, from unhealthy to many healthy items. Almost everything is fresh prepared and the service is quick and friendly. Nice break during a shopping day.
It was decent. The crepes are dry, but the tea was well done. I wasn't aware that they are trying to be a cashless establishment, and only found out after my transaction. The interaction with staff was minimal and awkward.
Bought a roaster and a bunch of green beans... Hoped for a great experience but found stones in the green beans! I was told it was completely normal (its not...) and was ignored when I was looking for some compensation. They eventually offered me $20 in bean credits... hardly enough since I had to replace the burrs in my grinder but it took multiple emails and calls to get any solution. Jonathan was very rude and not helpful at all. I've bought dozens of pounds of coffee from another vendor and NEVER seen anything in the beens except beans. I won't be back.
Great selection of coffee beans and equipment
This is always a great place for coffee and gelato. Theyvalso have ssndwiches and coffee cocktails.
Terrible coffee, terrible shop, terrible owners, avoid at all costs
Having only bought coffee appliances and green beans there, I can recommend it for that. Great selection of beans and competitive pricing. The staff has been friendly every time I have visited.
NO WIFI!!! YOU CAN'T WORK THERE
Their iced coffee was alright.
$4 for a dinky little iced coffee and nowhere to sit or stand.... Not worth it
It's great ambience. Industrial looking. Lot of space. Very close to Bathurst station. Parking is tough. Coffee was good. The staff is OK friendly. Food options are good. Not very expensive.
Great atmosphere. Helpful, friendly staff. Delicious coffee and the best iced tea in the City. A great location to enjoy time catching up with friends.
I bought coffee beans from this place which turned to be very low quality compared to its price. It is that kind of beans that makes your mouth smell bad. When I communicated with customer service about it, the lady started lecturing me on the tastes of different roasts. She was actually deviating from the fact that those beans have something wrong. She also mentioned that they dont do quality check on those beans. Zero star is a better rating I guess.
No wi-fi. Okay coffe. Kinda messy
Good coffee, nice ambiance.
Great aLternative n atmosphere
Got a cold brew iced coffee and a muffin. The muffin was not good. The coffee was great but overpriced for the size (only one size). The service was not great.
Great coffee! Service has changed over time...needs a bit of improvement and no Wi-Fi.
Stopped in here during a recent visit to Toronto. Great service by some very friendly staff. Lots of options for coffee both in house and to take home to brew. I was very intrigued by the cold brew setup they had available. Might have to pursue that idea.
Good coffees. A wide selection of all kinds of beans from all over the world. Amazing assortment of coffee making related gadgets, some pretty pricey...all very interesting.
Inhospitable staff verging on completely incompetent. They can hardly manage a simple order. Poor quality food and drinks with a tattered atmosphere. Skip it!
Great custom roast beans. Love the spanish roast for my espresso machine.
Nice place to have a coffee. The food is good and there are excellent baked goods. As for the coffee, it's not bad, but I've noticed that it's been on the weak side the last couple of times I've had it. This is a great place to meet people and talk, so that more than compensates for the coffee.
one of two places in Toronto that knows how to make affogato
Not an ideal place to work with your laptop. They don't have Wifi and they don't have any spaces to plug your laptop.
Food and coffee are ok, no wifi though.
Snooty staff but great coffee!
great staff and delicious eats. nice decor and reasonable price
The place is nice with lots of space and chairs, which makes it a great place for tea or coffee with a friend. However it does not have wifi so not good to work or study. Also I ordered a crepe and it took them over half hour to get it ready. When I brought this issue to the staff's attention, they told me there was a long wait for crepes. I was not made aware of this when I ordered. I do appreciate they offered a free drink for the long wait.
As a coffee shop, it's OK. Nothing special, but fine. As a source for coffee- and tea-making hardware, it's overpriced. You'll find cheaper elsewhere with little effort, and better customer service to go with it. What's truly bizarre about this place is that it claims to be super ecologically conscious, but ALL OF THE PROFITS GO TO CLIMATE CHANGE DENIAL. Seriously, Google "Green Beanery climate change" and see for yourself. This non-profit sends 100% of its proceeds to a lobby group that argues fossil fuels are the most environmentally friendly energy source. It's mind-boggling.
Nice modern place. Very good coffee. They also offer sweets and cheesecake, and you can buy a fancy coffeemaker there too.
Unique ambiance great coffee
Great fresh roasted coffee but no wifi...
It has a small food menu, but really amazing options! Lots of places to sit, good selection of coffee brewing equipment. A bustling coffee shop with some nice brick wall features, nice coffee bar area. Recommend with friends or alone! ☕
Although it was busy on a Friday night (which was expected), the staff were prompt with the drink orders. This place has a variety of drinks (specialty coffees, smoothies, milkshakes) and pastries. Great atmosphere!
The coffee is good, and they have an excellent selection of equipment, but their website openly states that they are owned by a company that lobbies against the idea of man-made climate change, and advocates for fossil fuel use. You'd be better off getting your coffee gear at Nella or off Amazon. It's probably cheaper there too.
Greenwashing - STAY AWAY! This place is owned by Energy Probe which is a climate denial group funded in part by the fossil fuel industry. If you want to be green this is the LAST place to spend your money. See Energy Probe's website etc. or any of the nuttiness written by Lawrence Solomon (head of EP) on the National Post about how government should give fossil fuels more subsidies.
Big cafe with tonnes of seating and tables, nice big windows and a hip vibe. Small shop at the side for buying coffee and tea accessories. Not too loud and perfect for working/reading. The prices are reasonable and, wow, the frittata on croissant is amazing! Check this place out!
Very decent coffee and food, as well as serving as a good space to work or study despite the lack of internet.
Great coffee. Pretty incompetent staff.
Great location with a pretty cool vibe inside. I love the mission of the cafe. It's all about fair trade coffee and the profits from the cafe go to a charity which is lovely. Unfortunately, it only gets three stars because the staff (although they were friendly) forgot about the very simple order my friend and I had paid for even though the place wasn't very busy. My pal was also a bit disappointed in the grilled cheese that he bought (but I didn't try any, so I can't personally speak to that).
Great place for casual drip coffee, a good cappuccino or even premium syphon Blue Mountain coffee. Also a great place to buy green coffee beans in bags from 1/2 Lb. up to 2 Lb. They do also roast their own beans for you but unless you like a very dark roast, get the green beans and roast them yourself because even the lightest roast I asked for was so heavily over roasted it was almost charcoal when I picked it up. So stick with their green beans.
Good food and drinks. Lovely people. Community staple!
Lots of seating. Good location. Had a macchiato and a rocky mountain cookie.
I frequently order green (unroasted) beans from Green Beanery. They have an excellent selection and great prices. Hands down, though, they truly shine with their customer service. I have had the pleasure of dealing with their service staff a couple of times, most recently due to an error I made myself in an order. Tina (a member of their service staff) helped me greatly in rectifying that error, and she did it incredibly quickly with an excellent attitude. I am very appreciative for the assistance, and will be a long-time customer of Greenbeanery.ca because of people like her. Thanks Tina and the rest of the team at GB! Adam Fletcher
Very busy. Crowded tables. No wifi. But nice staff, good coffee & great space.
They have a nice vareity of whole beans in various roasts from a variety of locations. The food is not so good, especailly the chorizo crepe, avoid it.
So slow, computer issues upon ordering too long of lineups understaffed
Chill cafe. It's open later and has a ton of seating. The WiFi is also pretty awesome.
They have great coffee and they are right by public transit. It gets very busy though, so try not to go at a prime time.
Great neighborhood coffee tea and dessert shop. Friendly, lively crowd. Great spot to spend your life for an hour :).
Great coffee. Don't get the opportunity to go often, but I always stop by when I'm in the neighborhood.
Great selection of green beans when they have them in stock- I think things are a bit difficult right now for supplying- but usually lots of variety
The London Fog was very tasty and the hot chocolate was good too. The staff don't speak English makes it hard to order and confirm the order. The atmosphere is really quaint, they even sell coffee machines and South American and African coffee beans. They did have some pastries which looked tasty.
Nice atmosphere inside. Reasonable prices, and vegan friendly. Has soy and almond milk options for the lactose intolerant. Only complaint is tables are too close together, making it hard to leave when it's busy.
Over 100 different beans available and roasting to order on site!
Amazing buckwheat (gluten-free) crepes for a great price. Banana and nutella for $4.99!
Horrible service and over priced drinks. I was very disappointed after I received my drink. It was terrible EDIT: I ordered an iced matcha latte, it tasted like watered down milk.
Good place to meet with friends and go to for coffee
Nice and interesting place! Awesome coffee and pecan pie ????! ????
Great selection of beans and coffee equipment. Tea accessories as well!
Pretentious. Over priced. Worn furniture. Crowded.
I’m curious if there is any parking spot available?
This place is an amazing spot for coffee, chatting and catching a light snack over a read. Very cozy, affordable for the most part and nice ambience to it. Definitely recommended
Great selection of coffee accessories, very knowledgeable staff
Great coffee, never a long wait, and friendly staff
Went in last week for a work meeting and saw that there is a new "cash free" policy in place. This made for ridiculous wait times and has the consequence that homeless people or students without debit/credit cards are unable to get a hot cup of coffee or tea if they want. If someone can pay they should be able to access service. These no cash approaches are barely veiled elitist snobbery. I used to frequent the Green Beanery but if this is the new approach I will not be back. I'll find my coffee somewhere that cares about equality thanks.
Fritata with a Hot Apple Cider on a cold winter's day did the trick. No WiFi so I can't give a 5-star rating
Best Variety of coffee beans from around the world.
Pretty Chic hipster place for getting a cup of coffee
Perfect place to shop coffee supplies such as rubber seals, grinders, machines etc. Pleasant ambience and polite staff
Great coffee in an awesome surrounding , responsible coffee vendors .
Owned by a horrid oil barron. Good place though overall
nice hot beverages, airy and light locale. Good place to chill.
This place has a great selection of equipment at reasonable prices. The coffee was decent but the service has routinely been really slow.
Cool spot to choose from a variety of beans. Small selection of coffee machines and supplies. Food looks good.
Great selection of coffee beans from around the world, green and roasted, have been a customer for years, friendly helpful staff, and a great atmosphere to enjoy a brew or espresso pull onsite
The coffee is very good, but most of the time the staff is not friendly. They roast several types of coffee fresh on-site. If you like, they can roast you a bag just the way you like it. The staff might be over-allr or just over it. Most of my experiences have been with unfriendly or impatient staff.
Great selection of coffees in a spacious cafe. It cod get crowded though.
It's ok, but in my opinion the little espresso shop a block north serves a better cappuccino. The Beanery has ample seating, some coffee brewing accessories, and sells house roasted beans. Apparently some have controversial opinions about its ownership, but aside from that, if you need a non descript cafe to screen a tinder date this could be an option.
Coffee is pretty good usually busy.
Their coffee tastes absolutely amazing. They have over 8 type of roasts and a variety of over 20 amazing types of coffee for purchase. Great place.
Love their coffee. Busy warm place to be
This review is not for the coffee bar but the retail section of the store. I usually come here to browse their selection of equipment and buy some freshly roasted beans. They have the most extensive selection of green and roasted coffee beans that I have seen in the city. They also roast on demand if you order via their website.
No wifi but otherwise great spot for coffee and brewing equipment
The drinks and food are OK; nothing noteworthy. As of 2019 the service level has dropped quite a bit and the prices have gone up. I tried to ask for tea with an extra bag because it already taste like warm water and they wanted 7 dollars. The interior space is superb and a nice place to hang out but that's pretty much the only thing left that's good here.
One of my long time favorites. Coffee shop and coffee store in one.
Relaxing place with nice coffee. Bucking against the trend, no wifi
The owner has questionable politics, (coming from someone going to school for ecology) not coming here anymore out of principle. This used to be one of my spots until I found out about that and Honest Ed's got torn down across the street. Without Ed's the magic is totally gone. It's just Bloor and Bathurst ick now and construction. They also package all their coffee in plastic and don't have a lot of Fair-trade/Organic options. At least they have roast dates.
Really lovely atmosphere and wide open space with a lot of natural light! Makes it a nice hang out spot. Their coffee displays are fantastic, and they have a huge array to choose from and purchase. If you're a coffee lover hit it up - they've got an awesome selection of deluxe coffee equipment as well! Only wish the prices were a bit more reasonable.
Great coffee good light food choices and price range nice atmosphere but no WIFI!
Came here to study. While some people won’t like the fact that they don’t have wifi, I found it peaceful.
The coffee here is excellent.
Its ok, not the best but not the worst. Staff needs more training. They had to ask how to make a macchiato.
Coffee - Very good Sandwiches - Terrible Staff - Friendly Atmosphere - Great Prices - Overrated
Lovely little cafe with great coffees, freshly made gourmet sandwiches, and a great ambiance for conversation. High-end coffee paraphernalia for sale. No wifi so the focus here is on being present.
I am willing to travel to the Green Beanery to get a decent coffee. I could travel 20 minutes by subway to go to the Green Beanery or I could walk two blocks to a typical chain shop. In this case, I travel. When I go out for coffee, I want it to be a good coffee. I always get good coffee there. Freshly roasted beans on location daily and reasonably priced. The coffee always tastes fresh. The place is often busy and sometimes you have to wait for a table. The manager told me that they purposely do not offer a wi-fi connection because they do not want people loitering for long periods of time so tables can be made available faster. Overall, well worth the trip for a great coffee, and also try one of their **HUGE** slices of cake.
Always enjoyed having my tea and people watching through the windows here. Wish they will open up again soon
TRULY AMAZING LATTE, fantastic beans as always, seating was a little limited and we couldn’t find the wifi? Otherwise the place was pretty cosy and served a variety of coffees, beans, and brewers!
Excellent coffee and cool place !
Good coffee, friendly staff but no wifi (!?!?!) In a coffee shop?
Great Selection of coffee. Knowledgable staff. The owner / manager is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his business.
Good crepes and good coffee, dirty windows and shaky tables
I could not pay with cash. The cashier spoke almost no english and insisted on pointing to a sign )in English only)which says they are going cashless. While the coffee is good but very expensive, going cashless means that someone without a bank card or credit or doesn't wish to use one will go without. I find this very classist to say the least. I will not be back.
Good coffee and great location. Lovely cafe to sit and enjoy a bit of the day. You can also by coffee beans and high end espresso machines here.
interesting selection foods mostly organic pies cakes cookies tea coffees etc.
Great choice both for drinks and coffee equipment. Service can be quite slow when its busy. No WiFi not a hindrance, two person tables mostly.
Some of the best coffee I've had in Toronto. It looks like they're changing direction as they've added ice cream, smoothies and milkshakes to their menu. All very delicious!
Good coffee and I really like the vegan chocolate chip cookies
Awesome atmosphere and I think they have some free events. Their vegan brownie is to die for. No Wi-Fi though
Nice atmosphere but no WiFi. Been here a few times, staff is generally polite. Occasionally however, you are left standing at the counter while they decide whose turn it is to take order and payment.
Coffee is pretty decent. However it is usually loud and there is no free wifi available.
Great coffee and nice open seating area. I didn't order anything to eat but everything smelled really delicious!
A nice location and right at the corner, it isn't the most comfortable for sitting and relaxing. Coffee equipment is for sale and that's nice and the coffee experience is good too.
Great coffee place!
Terrible customer service. The staff needs to get trained better as they forget your order and give you attitude when you ask for the items you PAID for. The coffee is not terrible but sandwiches are way to pricey for the size and content.
Best cafe in the annex if not the city
I asked if they could make a mint chocolate latte, if they couldn't is take a regular latte. After mumbling he said we have a mint hot chocolate. I didn't get what I wanted and the mint hot chocolate didn't taste good not worth the 5plus dollars for the drink. Finally everyone looked miserable to be there, nobody made any eye contact, I can understand that we all have bad days, but the whole staff?
Their coffee bean variety is really good. Come here to get your coffee. Unfortunately the staff knows very little about the equipment they sell there.
Friendly staff and the best espresso I've had in a while. Be warned; they choose not to have Wi-Fi available.
Great place for coffee and hang out
Had issues in the past buying an Aeropress (took it home and it was wet and still had coffee residue ,when they claimed it was brand new never opened) Was never planning on going back but since they are the only place that stocks the Burr grinder I was looking for I decided to give it a second chance. Lo and behold when I get home and open the box all the parts were stuffed in as if it was previously opened. The button on the grinder was warn down and pressed so many times it had recessed on one side. I went in and kindly asked to have it exchanged, and was then told I was wrong and it wasn't used for about 30 min. Finally after asking for my money back they brought up a couple of new boxes and right away I was surprised at how the packaging looked on the new grinder. Everything was sealed in its correct cardboard holders (the one they gave me was not) and the button decal was not warn nor did it look like it had been used countless times. I don't like writing reviews, but this was just an uncalled for experience and I am really disappointed. I work in customer service and have never treated anyone with such disrespect, if a customer came in and claims its used just bring another one to put beside it so this could be avoided. Rant over.
Cool place great coffee and extras staff is fun bunch realy happy hope have nogher meeting there soon its great place to disscuss business
The hot chocolate was yummy and the croissant decent. The staff was all super friendly!! They invite interesting people to talk and have lively discussions, and attending is free. Heads up, they don’t offer free wifi, so not quite a good spot for working, but definitely the place for a chat.
They have always had the best selection. Imagine being able to choose a decaf bean
Had a weird experience at the cash when my total came to $3.26 and I gave him a $10 bill, the register opened and I found a quarter in my purse so tried to give it to him to save us both having to get change and he said it was too late... on cash? Not sure if the cashier just couldn't do the mental math (7$ back instead of $6.75) or there actually is a policy on this (which logically does not make any sense). Did not really feel welcome and the tea was scorching hot, even after 10 mins I burnt my mouth. Nice place to get work done though.
Love it! This is my fav covfefe in Toronto ????
Interesting... Lots of merch and beans. Surprising lack of knowledge by staff though.. except for the resident roasting guy who was very helpful! I felt the need to help out a fellow customer with grinder advice when he wasn't getting help. Overall cafe experience is great and cozy with delicious espresso.
Good coffee shop with a nice atmosphere. I'm updating this review - my past experience was sub-par, but now I do reccommend this coffee shop. There seem to be a few new employees with bright smiles and the shop has a bit of a new vibe to it now. I feel very welcomed, and even getting my drink was a bit faster today. Prices are decent, store has a cool setup. Slightly cramped as half the space is used for merchendise, but thats how city spaces are. Coffe strength and taste varies a bit, but that's common at all coffee shops. Good hot coffee, nice warm people. :)
Was looking at grinders and other equipment for at least 15 minutes. Staff were within arms reach numerous times, was never approached to ask if I had questions or needed assistance.
They have everything the coffee connoisseur would ever want. From green unroasted coffee to espresso machines, you should be able to find what you have been searching for.
Great cafe concept. Independent direct trade with education on brewing and roasting. Definitely one of a kind place in Toronto!
The profits of this store go to a NGO which denies climate change (“Energy Probe”) and they host events about the “dangers” of bike lanes. Nothing green about the green beanery. Search “green beanery climate change” for several sources from major publications if you want to learn more.
Great coffee but the layout feels crowded and claustrophobic. Great for grab and go but I wouldn't attempt to get a table
Free wifi and good amount of seating. Good coffee and non-caffeinated options also! In addition, they sell coffee related products.
Conversational staff, great tasting espresso, and a pleasant environment.
Very nice cashier. Hot chocolate was not too sweet so it was great! There's like an overabundance of tables which means lots of places to sit and also a bit crowded.
Excellent coffee and fun atmosphere.
Great atmosphere. Delicious cortado coffee.
The interior is very cool, however the London fog I had was miserable! Incredibly watery. I tried to let it steep but there just wasn't any flavour coming through.
No wifi and staff are not friendly. I asked them to give me paper cup. When I got the coffee, the surface of thd cup was full of syrup and espresso which means it was dirty. I just aksed him whether I can tap or not when I was about to pay but he didn't answer me and pressed some button then made me pay with tip that I didn't even want to give them. I think he took advantage of my situation because I'm a visitor from other country. I overpaid more than I should have paid.
Why is there no wifi?? Such a nice place otherwise.
Great variety of coffee and apparatuses. Service was top tier. The cafe seems like it would have good food
Interesting tea and coffee assortment. The cafe doesn't have wifi, and considering they have a really large seating area it is a shame people can't come and work here.
Lovely. Less coffee beans next time.
Front row cashier was super rude and unfriendly. We showed up in a group of 7 and all my friends were disappointed by the quality of service.
Great variety of drinks and nice staff. The coffee shop itself is pretty big, but It's always packed so it's hard to find a place to seat, especially during rush hours. No WiFi.
It was okay, the staff isn't crazy friendly but the coffee is decent.
No Wi-Fi
This is a great place to kick back and relax! I enjoy their no wifi policy as it really adds to the culture of one having tea or coffee, especially when with company. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I will return here again.
Pros: Great Coffee Good food & dessert Nice atmosphere CONS NO WIFI!!!! I mean really? It's 2019 If you don't want your customers to spend long periods of time and want high table turnover.. get a company to setup your WiFi with 1 hour access...very easy fix to a very easy problem.
Nice place on Bathurst for a quick coffee or hang out
Great little coffee shop but extremely packed seating and not cheap. Cute though.
Good service. Great cup of coffee.
I like this place a lot. A lady stole my sandwich, which was weird.. but the staff remade another for me :)
A nice spot for coffee but doesnt offer wifi. In 2020.
Average quality.
Great coffee, ice cream and staff! And amazing selection of coffee gadgets! Only if the atmosphere was a little bit cozier...
When I learned about Probe Intl who own the cafe and the history of climate change denial I had to stop going to this cafe. Unfortunate.
I visit often for their excellent stock of green coffee beans. If there's a seat at the window counter, I'll enjoy a good brewed coffee and one of their fine pastries and watch the world walk by outside. The ONLY problem is the hapless system of paying: a young staffer taps doubtfully at a tablet, then calls over a colleague, then they both tap randomly, while a shuffling, grumbling queue stretches toward the door.
Nice and large with lots of seating area.
Great selection of green beans and coffee equipment. Very solid cup of coffee. Staff have always been very pleasant and helpful. They have added more tables and reduced retail space.
Though it's always packed, that's only indicative of its quality drinks. Hard to find a seat, but an awesome location!
Good location and good views of pedestrian traffic, but nothing special about their coffee. Interior isn't very inspired or inviting either.
Excellent quality coffee and gear
I really like how this place has Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. The atmosphere here is great as well.
Good and service is good. It's noisy and a little crowded for my taste, but I like it anyway.
A great place for coffee and chat. If you are looking for a place where you can work with Wifi then this is not the place to be since they don't have Wifi.
This is an amazing space. Would love to eat in some time. Coffee was good. Choices were medium or dark blend. I deducted a star for not having a light blend option. When you walk in it looks like they have so much stuff I was disappointed there wasn't a light blend. In addition to the cafe they also have all the specialized coffee making apparatus - pour over, French press, aeropress, etc.
They got my order wrong. And my husbands. The coffee was good the matcha was just OK. They also got the 3 people infront of me in line's orders wrong. The to gos were in china cups the smalls were larges the decafs weren't decaf etc etc. The line was out the door busy and I think the length of the line is more to do with the people getting orders wrong then the popularity of the spot. Cool atmosphere once it was all done but I won't be going back.
No wifi service which is good for people who just want to talk with friends or read a book. Improper place to work or study with laptop.
Friendly service, great coffee, and a casual atmosphere made this a good experience.
Their coffee is good (not the best in Toronto) and they have decent selection of snacks. The atmosphere is cozy, but when the place is busy the tables are so closely spaced that it feels like you’re sitting with other people at times (depending on where you sit, of course).
eclectic. decent coffee. great deserts
Staple venue on this popular corner - but has NO WIFI... seriously? I actively avoid it if I have to do any work, other than a coffee meeting
Great location, awesome coffee and a nice staff. Bit on the pricey side however.
It's a convenient place to have cheap-ish coffee and sit down
Sweet independently run joint. Find vegan snacks. Green coffee beans to roast. Coffee paraphanelia. Private event room. Bright natural airy atmos. Family friendly. No wifi. Can't wait to try more stuff!
SLOWEST SERVICE EVER!!!! I've been here three times and I can't believe how inefficient the staff is here. I don't like giving bad reviews but I have no choice in this matter. The coffee is nothing to write home about,.. There was not one pastry in the place to have with my coffee,.. I won't be going here again!
What ever you need coffee related, they have it.
Great coffee! Fantastic service:)
Good coffee, great selection of coffee grinders and makers at reasonable prices.
I enjoyed an excellent frittata and side salad. Watch out: no wifi here.
Coffee is perfectly fine, and there's usually a space to sit. However: there's no wifi, so you'll either need to hotspot or hop on the wifi of a neighbouring business.
Neat cafe! The staff was very nice but the service was a little slow. But that’s probably because everything is made very fresh. I had the bean salad which was not only generous in portion but also quite tasty. My friend had a grilled cheese on egg toast which he really liked. They also sell a variety of organic coffee beans and small coffee appliances for home.
They have one of the best soy lattes in the city! I haven’t tried their food and other items, but I really enjoyed their coffee yesterday. Keep it up :)
I've only had the cold brew and the roasted chicken sandwich. White tasty. My only complaint as of now was slow service.
Coffee is great and have well priced munchies
Had booked the vault for a work event. Sad. Ok cappuccino, sad hibiscus ice tea and biscotti that were too hard. Not coming back. Oh n bad wifi
Good Coffee and vittles. Worth a stop over if in the area for sure!
itba nice place with a nice vibe and great coffee
What happened? From a cozy, hip place, to a grungy place with ripped and sagging furniture, tired floors and jumbled crowded tables, Green Beanery is now inhospitable. GB needs to decide what it is going to be, They sell useful coffee making equipment and great beans, but a staff that feels tired and an atmosphere that feels exhausted makes GB a place to shop at but not stay. Less stuff more comfort please.
Crowded, great coffee :-)
Ok. The place is great but there's no wifi so just be careful if you came in to use wifi.
Best and various cheesecakes they have
I ordered the Chicken Salad which was freshly made on the spot, a blueberry smoothie, along with a regular coffee. We also ordered a chorizo sandwich with egg which was delicious. The price was also exceptionally reasonable, but the only drawback was the long wait.
Hipster coffee place. Great coffee, pasferies... But meh... I'm not a coffee shop kinda guy, but my friends all love the place.
Always one of my favourite places to have a coffee and meet up with friends. Really glad they serve ice cream too especially on a hot day like today.
Coffee was ok. Americano was really watered down. The sandwich was extremely small for 6 dollars. Nice atmosphere and they also sell coffee related accessories
If I could give this 0 star I would. Because the service here is the SLOWEST ever. Never coming back
One of my favorite coffee places in Toronto. Great for meeting with friends. Relaxed atmosphere and very spacious. Great service too.
I usually go for the gold latte with soy milk and the services is ok most of the times but yesterday it was far from good. I asked for a cheese croissant warmed up to go and when I was waiting for my order the lady came to give me the croissant and added “it’s a regular croissant, we don’t have more cheese” to what I say ok, I’ll take it, but I paid for a cheese. She offered to make a refund and I accepted. We did the refund and when she gave me the croissant it was cold, I asked again if she could warm it up. She asked the other workers there something about the oven and she put it in in an apparent turned off oven. In the meantime a lady next to me was complaining they had forgotten her latte, we were the only 2 customers ordering at that time. When she gave me the croissant it was more cold than warm, obviously it was not Ok, but there was nothing else she could do unless they actually turned the oven on! I left and I started to eat the croissant which was not very fresh and to the 3rd bite I started feeling it quite rancid. I threw it away and finished my coffee, but my stomach has been feeling very weird since yesterday. I’m definitely not buying food there anymore.
Probably the best people I've ever met. They are absolutely friendly. The place is amazingly organized and feels very relaxing inside. And I had an Iced latte which was extraordinarily refreshing and delightful. The coffee was on point and it wasn't oversweetened. I fell in love with the ambiance here... Totally recommended and I will be a regular here. Great work everyone at Green Beanery. You made my day
I was looking for cuban coffee and could not find it anywhere and I found it there
Coffee very good! Could use an extra bathroom.
The coffee was great and the staff are really nice!
At the Green Beanery and attempted to order something to eat. It’s Sunday morning and I ordered 2 frittatas. The girl at the front said it would be 25 minutes to get my food, which is not manageable. Then I asked what’s in the Breakfast scone and she has to read ingredients from the back of a sign. I said I couldn’t have bacon and she didn’t offer any food alternative just more or less said “too bad”. Poor service means I’ll never come boba I. Go somewhere else.
Great atmosphere, so many things on the menu which will not disappoint you. So many different types of coffee and a great selection of coffee brewing in store.
Even though I used to work there, this place is pretty cool. I actually like this place, although the coffee can sometimes be, uh, good. This place is good, even if I was a customer or a staff member. Thank you Patricia. I moved on from that store but I hope you guys do well. ❤
Very nice café, high ceilings, rough walls, ducts. The coffee was good too
Place is nice great spacious inside, gear great coffee great, my issue is staff knowledge I asked barista for a cortado/gilbralter and she looked at me like I was crazy she had no clue, then I tried to explain is expresso shot with warm milk equal parts, she responded we have milk on the side counter just order a espresso..... LA sigh anyways that's my only issue know your craft, the double espresso itself was very good.
Nice atmosphere. Most everything you could want in a coffee shop
Used the meeting room today called "the vault" and it only cost $15/hour. Coffee is always great too
My favourite cafe in downtown because their latte is good! Green beanery is always packed even though there were lots of tables. But if you take the seat, you would not want to lift your butt because chairs are very comfortable. Sometimes service is slow or they missed your order, or somebody steals your order. So keep your eyes on the pick up counter. You can book a meeting room for groups.
Bright open space with a high ceiling. Great for catching up with a friend, reading a book, or working on that experimental fiction. I don't know why I would purchase unroasted beans to take home, but the fact it's available is neat.
Good coffee but great coffee making store as well....
Slow customer service but great coffee
Nice café but no wifi
Barista doesn't do good job. My friend's Cappuccino was way too foamy and my latte was too foamy almost like cappcino.
Coffee (americano) was OK, nothing special. Forgot this place doesn't have wifi
Good place to read a book or do your homework. I loved the espresso and the cheddar scone.
Great place for mornings coffee. Highly recommend
Such a cute atmosphere, a great place to sit and do work or have coffee with a friend. Delicious treats and sandwiches. They also sell bagged coffee and any coffee supply you would need. Amazing place
Great cream cheese and jam begal.
This could and should be SO much better. Grungy and disorganized. Ugh. This place needs an intervention and this amazing corner in an iconic Toronto neighbourhood like the Annex deserves so much better. Where is the restaurant makeover shows when you need them. Call restaurant 911. Hugely disappointing.
I only order green coffee beans at this location because it's convenient and on the subway line. It does have a nice variety of muffins and sweets and cookies and sandwiches and special coffees. It needs to have better Management in place and staff need to be trained to be more efficient and have a better process in place when dealing with different types of requests at the counter. It is a unique little spot where people come to enjoy a light and refreshing meal and or a coffee break
Good pie, coffee -- had better for sure
Old bank, old wood floors, solid premise to their coffee offerings, and great equipment. A local and well-meaning company!
Strawberry pie didn’t taste good and was quite pricy.
It is a peculiar coffee shop, with lots of options but generally pricey. Their tables are not leveled properly, so your coffee might end up somewhere else besides the cup. The americano was okay, a bit weak, and their pastries did not look very appealing. The service was uninspired, and the overall ambiance was dull.
Great place to bring your typewriter since there's no WiFi available. The ambiance music pleases the most refined of hipsters; claps, 10 people shouting "ho!", ukulele, etc, are part of the repertoire.
Excellent coffee. Plenty of places to sit. Right near the subway
The only good thing about Toronto
Pretty average coffee - not bad, but seems like a case of trying to do too many things at once.
Great coffee Very friendly ppl Great experience
Absolutely terrible customer service. I ordered a Hario pour over set, only the server came. Turns out, the dripper shipment was cancelled without my knowledge, so I ordered it again, and again, the same thing happened. At this point, I asked for a full refund as only the half of the pour over set came. They refused to take responsibility and reimburse me for the return shipping cost, and actually suggested it was my fault as they had given me the option to order the dripper again. After breaking a customer's trust and being treated in such a way, I'm not dumb enough to order from them again. Now, they are ignoring my emails so I am stuck with a useless server that can't even make coffee.
banana bread ~3 5/5 no wifi washroom locked by code
First, they made a hot chai latte when I asked for iced. Then, it took them forever to make it and it was bland. It was $5.90. $5.90! Also, no wifi. Will not return.
I always shake my head when I see a line in Starbucks with this place just right across the street! Seriously so much better and a much nicer vibe
No wifi. That's pretty cheap to operate a business in the 21st without WiFi access- like every other bar, resturaunt and cafe in Toronto. Pretty lame.
One star because there was no way to post a review with zero! Pro: Excellent location (in the city) for hangout (only if the shop was accommodating) Cons: - Snobby employees. (They forget that their peers are wearing "Mc"-uniform elsewhere!) - Rude customer service: they are pretentious and look as ignoring customers who are at the counter waiting for someone to take their order and regardless engaging in chit-chat instead of attending them means they have a higher status/meaning in their lives. (Very pathetic indeed!) - owned by Energy Probe, a lobby group that rejects the validity of climate change research. I used to be a customer both of their supposedly premium coffee beans (which I admit is good quality) and also to hang out at times over an Americano and some pastry (this one stale, at times). But, having experienced the staff rude behaviour made me find (much better) alternative. I don't mention where I am getting my coffee nowadays because I only mean this to be an honest review instead of taking their customer elsewhere. However, there are many "indie" coffee shops popping out in many neighbourhoods with better quality products and much much courteous staff (but unfortunately cannot beat the location!) Another important fact that strengthens my resolution to not put my foot at this shop again is that Green Beanery is owned by Energy Probe, a lobby group that rejects the validity of climate change research. This fact used to be on their web site but later was removed when Metro reported the fact on Mar 17, 2014. All this, while they claim "... works with citizen's groups around the world to protect their lands and their livelihoods.”
Best mocha coffee in the area. Large space to enjoy even on busy days and the staff are very fast. Lots of options for snacks and small things to eat, there's something for everyone.
The largest section of coffee (100+) varieties in the world. What else do you need?!!
Not a fan! Went in here to get a coffee and do some work on my laptop. Then I discovered that this is the only coffee shop without wifi?? Management doesn't want customers to stay and enjoy their environment, they want quick turnover for more people to spend their money on tiny cups of coffee. And what kind of greedy people make it so in order to get the combination for the bathroom you have to find it on the bottom of your receipt. I thought this was a very snobby store and I would by recommend it. Oh and why are they charging 25 cents for chocolates from Costco??
Don’t order a chai latte. I’ve never paid $5+ for what is a tea bag in warm milk. I suggest to management they don’t offer a chai latte or at least get syrup or powder like every other cafe that sells a chai latte. Your version is not a latte. It is bland tea with no chai flavour and very very disappointing.
Today wasn't my first visit, but it was my last. The level of customer service was very poor and unprofessional - it shouldn't take 5 minutes and the efforts of 2 people to answer a very simple question I had - why the business had gone cashless. "Oh, because that's what the owner wants", or words to that effect. Every person I've spoken to inside the place doesn't have anything good to say about this. Very noisy (from the staff and customers) and busy with no free tables unless you're there first thing in the morning or last thing at night. $3.25 for a large, lukewarm - not hot - cup of coffee. Finished it because I hate wasting coffee. No WiFi either. I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. I'll give credit where it's due though - they do have a great variety of food and drink items, as well as coffee beans and coffee-related products. A former bank, the vault can be used for meetings should you need a quiet space to have one (check their website for details; and here is where you'll get your Internet access). Very close to the local cinema, if you're not in the mood for popcorn. Local events are also advertised here next to the newspapers.
Good coffee and usually plenty of seating.
Good place for a coffee and a quick sandwich. Very artistic decor.
Matcha latte sucks, tastes very flat. Maple syrup coffee is not good either
Friendly hosts. Bad coffee. Not clean. Price not worth the quality.
I ordered a regular drip coffee, and it was either burnt, or just the worst tasting coffee I've ever had. Threw the coffee in the garbage.
Well worth the visit, very convenient location to get to. I ordered my blends and roasts online to bepicked up in store. I was looking for a nice pour over and the staff was able to point me in the right direction. I definitely will order and visit again!!
A nice, small café, great for relaxing with friends or hunkering down and getting work done. They have a wide selection of coffee to help you find your favourite roast and brew, along with some neat food items. Their ice cream, surprisingly, is a must try. I loved it.
Misleads people. Revenues support Probe International which is a fake environmentalist group that actually promotes climate change denial. Despite management's "response", I have not fallen for "fake news". Probe International is a right wing fake environmentalist group that actually supports climate change denialism. Don't be fooled.
Cool atmosphere, great prices
Meh. Inside is great. Decent coffee. Snacks are ok. No wifi?? Lame
Try out their desserts.
Really really good coffee, small food portions. Crepes disappointingly only half filled
Do you have an old, hot air popcorn popper? Then you can roast your own coffee. And thus is a great place to buy the green coffee beans you'll need. A wide variety of types to finally make yourself that perfect cup of coffee, from end to end. They're also a great coffee shop, with coffee brewing and roasting equipment for all experience ranges, plus sell mail order. A must stop location fir all coffee afficianados.
Delicious london fog. Service was fast and my crepe was yummy! Great spot that is open late when u can't find a cozy coffee spot in the neighborhood.
Very nice and relaxing atmosphere. Great staff and food. I would recommend this place to my friends.
Exellent coffee place for freshly roasted coffee and coffee and tea acessories. Largw selection of freshly roasted beans as well as green beans. Large selection of cakes etc. Fairly large establishment with premium Bathurst and Bloor location
Desserts are a little pricey, but hands down one of the best espresso in the city.
Best espresso I ever had!!
Enjoy the selection of equipment and beans to purchase, however the experience picking up online orders leaves something to be desired. Both times it has taken staff nearly 10min to locate my order in their basement as it wasn't properly labeled with an order number, just randomly in a brown bag. If they could make pick up more efficient, I'd be very happy!
Worst customer service. I waited 35 minutes for my sandwich. Each time I asked about my sandwich, they kept telling me they were making it. The 3rd time I asked, they still hadn't made my sandwich and were still confused. They didn't give any refund when I requested, and couldn't give any kind of compensation. After all that, the sandwich was super small for being a $7 sandwich.
Nice atmosphere. They have a walk up window for milkshakes and ice cream.
Organic Coffee to fund Climate denial and shilling for the petroleum industry? No thanks.
A place for specialty coffee, raw beans and equipment.
Nice atmosphere. Open late for this sort of cafe so it's nice after a late dinner. They sell their own roasted beans, and any beans over a week old get on a discount so they're always fresh (they got the roasted date on the bag too).
Solid coffee shop built into a old bank, they sell beans, and equipment to
Great independent coffee spot
I've come here a few times - found staff to be rude/disinterested and/or barely spoke English so was hard to get an order across. Being across from Koreatown, this didn't surprise me as much as the fact that they fund climate change denying and anti-vaxx organizations. YIKES. Staying away from now on.
Nice and modern cafe, good coffee and cakes
Nice coffee spot with lots of seating, high end beans and coffee supplies. There’s also food and other desserts! No wifi though!
Great selection of green/unroasted beans. The display of coffee brewing accessories is cool to check out too!
Nice laid back place to recharge or socialize. A good variety of coffee and recently added green teas.
Coffee is pretty good and nice selection of treats. Could do with a little sprucing up - chipped cups and broken chairs. Lots of seating. Good counter service.
One of my favorite spots in the city!
Good selection of roasted beans, they also have green beans. Very busy on Sunday AM. Roasred beans are pricy
One of my favourite places to grab coffee, meet a friend, or study. They don't have Wi-Fi but that is actually a benefit for studying as it limits your distraction options!
Great roastery. Wide green coffee selection. Purveyor of higher end coffee apparatus. Coffee of the week club offers deals on roasted and green beans. In an old Bank building, it provides a large seating area that can accommodate groups.
Funds climate change denialism and is against Palestinian rights. Don't go here.
One of my favourite cafes in the city. Nice open, airy interior with a tinge of history (the decaying light fixtures of Honest Ed's across the street and the old bank vault door still intact at the back of the room). Second-best cortada in the city. Good friendly service. Usually busy, but also big enough that there's usually a place to sit. Some great bar seating against the window for people-watching Bloor and Bathurst streets. They also sell an unparalleled selection of coffee grinding, brewing, and storing devices, which is a cool little addition for an established cafe and roastery.
Very comfortable place for coffee and good portions of.cakes.
If you are a coffee aficionado this place is like coffee Disneyland. over hundred varieties, knowledgeable staff, a buyer who can be reached at any time and a roasting in small batches - this place is great. I specifically asked for SL 28 from Kenya - they did not have the bean, but made it known to the buyer immediately that they are looking for SL 28 and suggested another roaster in Toronto that does have SL 28. I am going back to this place again.
Great Tumeric Latte - best ever! Awesome ambiance too ????
highly recommend this place. staff are super friendly and welcoming. the sandwiches, crepes etc are made from scratch when you order, and really good, fresh ingredients. really good value too. you can get fed for like 6 or 7 bucks. great space to go do some work or study too.
Best coffee ice cream!
Location is clean and bright, with large windows and a friendly staff. The menu has a great selection of beverages and tons of delicious pastries and baked goods. Prices are moderate for the area. The floors and furniture are worn, giving the Green Beanery a rustic ambiance. As a cafe, the only drawbacks I encountered were the lack of Wifi and outlets.
The coffee here is incredible. The fresh roasted beans make every cup of coffee a treat.
Nice little coffee shop. Sells a lot of coffee making gadgets. Food is decent.
This is such a good place to spend a while in a cold weather. The decoration is beautiful, very cozy. If you go after 5 pm maybe you will have to wait for a table, it gets crowded, but it's worth the wait.
Very cool space - coffee shop/retail/wholesale area. I would say any coffee shop owners 'big' dream. Quality goods and reasonable prices. Enjoyed a regular coffee and chocolate chunk cookie. Would have liked my cookie to be a bit softer. Will return.
Good coffee but you have to wait a lot for your drink to be made.
Great location, comfy interiors. The baristas were very friendly and helpful. Very good selection of eats that were decently priced. The prices were not bad either. Did not order food, so not sure what the portion sizes are. Coffee ☕ was not fantastic but not terrible either. Definitely better priced than Starbucks for the same quantity and ingredients!!
Amazing coffee shop! Lots of seats, good menu selections, coffee brewing gear for sale, and a wide selection of beans for purchase to bring home. Good place to meet someone and hang out for a while.
Quality and service are a thing of the past. They used to be good. Now they're irrelevant.
They sold me used coffee grinder so I had to come back and exchange it. I waisted almost 2 hours for coming back and they did not to compensate me with as little as 100gr of fresh coffee beans and potentially have me as a new customer.
I was expecting to be served by Trump-hating vegan tattoo-armed NPC baristas but instead it was a pleasant ensemble of what I surmise was Koreans, hiding any 한 present in their bloodline. Thinking back I didn’t see any Geisha coffee offered, but any irony would be lost on many. Since the beans are roasted "daily" for tasting purposes I ordered my coffee black (like my soul). By the time I was done paying before oppa could skip over to the pick up counter Gangnam style it was there and waiting! As I sipped my coffee rereading Eric Hoffer’s classic The True Believer the vocal jazz sounding music playing in the background was mild, warming and sweet. It complimented the decor perfectly. The only thing I question is the freshness of the beans used for my coffee, I noticed some of the roast dates on the beans for sale were over 10 days old. Based on my experience with Asian Nationality X (hint they 恨 the Empire of the Sun too) those old beans would not go to waste! My only suggestion would be in the shelving holding the roasted beans for sale, empty the bottom shelf near the floor and replace the bags with some artful decorum. The beans themselves, offer a discount that incrementally increases with the age of the beans, pricing in itself is art.
Just discovered this cute café while walking on bathurst n Bloor. I love their crêpes and teas! I know it's a coffee shop but they have more than just coffee beans. Only downer is that they don't have Wi-Fi!
Excellent coffee, super friendly and helpful staff, very cozy atmosphere.
Great coffee, great selection. Nice cozy place.
Great for buying green beans to roast! They have a weekly sale on at least one variety or mix, can get access to it if you subscribe to they're mailing list.
Spacious, ambient venue. Fabulous espresso. Delicious baked treats. Enormous range of coffee beans. Friendly & chill staff. Clientele that make you feel like one of them.
This cafe is nestled in possibly the perfect location. The interior is strewn with coffee-bean bag accented furniture and the atmosphere is perfect for a midday caffeine boost or get together. Not to mention the coffee is fantastic.
It's like coffee heaven. So much to look at and so much to see, really good food at a reasonable price. My only complaint was that when they were making the food they were moving like snails and I was in a hurry. Other than that the place was great
Donates loads of money to "Energy Probe" an organization that 100% denies climate change
The staff here were very helpful when selecting recently roasted coffee beans. They took the time to explain their personal opinions of the coffee flavours themselves. And of course, they offered to grind the beans for free. Will definitely visit them again and would recommend to friends.
A very cozy place with a lot of wonderful coffee options, both to enjoy onsite or at home. Fair trade coffees roasted to preference on site. Lots of options for home grinding and brewing on sale for the avid enthusiast. They also offer a lot of wonderful snack and dessert options, be sure to glance on the far side of the counter to check put the pies.
I want so much to like this place, but despite the apparent focus on all things coffee...theirs just isn't very good. I've had spotty success with buying their beans, but I've ultimately crossed it off my list of places to buy coffee.
Great. Great service. Classy and serves good stuff.
coffee shop the way I like it - nice environment, helpful staff, great variety of coffees. and NOT a chain!!
I usually drink tea here but today I was hungry. I ordered the cheese steak sandwich on egg bread. Smallest sandwich I've ever been served and they melted the cheese with the grrens in it. This gave the greens a very yucky flavour. The oatmeal raisin cookie was delicious. Nice decor, clean washroom, good baked goods. Overpriced, ( $6,95) undersized sandwich with soggy greens. Skip the meal and stick to coffee or tea.
I totally loveee this place! It has great coffee but my favorite is thier ice cream! Try the roasted marshmallow it is delicious!
I want to like Green Beanery, but this place has consistently disappointed me. I find the staff are consistently unfriendly and condescending, every time I've spoken to someone there they make me to feel as though my patronage is an annoyance. I have spent many years working in customer service and don't understand how staff can be so unwelcoming. I've managed to keep a friendlier demeanour working during Boxing Day madness at the mall. I bought a french press a while back and asked for help choosing which one. I was told it really doesn't matter which one I go for so I didn't need help. I ended up choosing one myself and had to wait over 20 minutes for them to get a new one from storage instead of the display model. When I asked them to do this it was, again, as if I had asked for something totally unreasonable. I just recently broke the beaker on this press, and really liking the press and not wanting to replace the whole thing, called the store to ask if they carry replacement beakers. I was told they only carry a different brand's replacement parts, in spite of still selling the press I have. I asked if there was any way I could order one in, happy to pay shipping fees, because I really like the design of the beaker and the fact that it has measurements on it and was told no. The only thing I was offered was if I brought the broken press in they would be able to check if the beakers they have would fit it. I mentioned that I live far away and I don't want to come in for nothing and find out the beaker doesn't fit, hoping he could check for me, but he offered no such help, just responded with a "meh well sorry". The space itself is quite nice. It's open with lots lots of windows and comfortable seating, but that's what it's got going for it. Multiple times that I have been there the espresso machine was broken. They also do not have Wifi, which is just annoying.
There are too many coffee shops in this neighborhood so customer service would be a key differentiator, one would think. Not so for this place. Even for downtown Toronto, where indifferent hipsterism rules, I found the service cold and terse.
My favorite coffee spot in Toronto. In an old bank building. Best place to buy a variety of beans roasted or green. They sell basically every style of coffee maker and grinder and they are usually the same or close to Amazon prices :)
Good coffee, nice atmosphere, and if I lived in Toronto, this place would be on my regular coffee house to go to.
Loved the atmosphere and the coffee was great! Very friendly and tentative staff! Will definately recommend The Green Beanery and look forward to going back next time I’m in Toronto! We need a place like this in my town!
Great selection of coffee and coffee equipment. Terribly slow service and one very rude young man in a surfing tshirt on the staff asked me to move away from beans I was looking at without explanation. I'd rather buy online in this situation.
I used to stop by here despite the coffee not being my favourite because I mistakingly thought they were supporting green environmental efforts. I later learned that they're run by Probe International, an organization that denies climate change and promotes anti-science agendas. It was easy to make the decision to stop going. The service and quality of coffee were not hard to replace.
Crappy high end espresso coffee prices. Dont go there until they lower all coffee prices. Rude CSR ...
I buy my coffee beans there, fresh and nicely roasted. Great place.
Love the place coffee and sweets are delicious try the coconut ice-cream and the tumeric latte!
I often meet friends here because it's pretty central, at Bathurst and Bloor. This place is always busy. I like the hot cocoa. Entrance is accessible but washrooms are in the basement.
Loved it! Was such a refreshing place to spend time!
Decent coffee shop to meet with friends , they don't bother you or kick you out if you are taking your time having your drink or snack. I like how at the end of the reciept is a washroom code
I am not a coffee person but I enjoyed my latte very much. I've noticed some criticisms of the green Beanery because of The Stance regarding human-caused climate change. They are not anti-science, but someone there possesses healthy skeptical attitude about any Doctrine. Maybe some of the critics should be skeptical about they're postmodernist bullsh!t.
The drip coffee is by far the best I've had anywhere. Ever. Full stop. Amazing. I just wish two things. That the pastries and treats were better (almost bad), and that I didn't feel like I was inconveniencing the staff for ordering, every single time I've been. But the coffee... so good.
Drink was only half full.
busy, lots of different kinds of coffee. you cant pay with cash which excludes those who dont have a credit or debit card...
Coffee is meh, but seriously, I told them i have work to do on my computer and they never warned me about not having any wifi. Now I'm stuck here drinking this coffee and using my hotspot from my phone. Not to mention they have wobbly tables.
Great raspberry cheesecake and pretty good coffee.
Receptive to orders, and good service. A little disorganized, and the bathroom is unclean.
I was drawn to the warm atmosphere and the signs proclaiming they custom roast their beans fresh. I was slightly turned off by the baristas who were more preoccupied with chatting with their colleagues and gave attitude when I tried to place my order. He then tried to play it off humorously. Small coffee cost approx. $2. In all, the temperature was lukewarm and bland with a bitter aftertaste. It resembled - what I presume watered down soil would taste like. Please, do yourself a favour and use the $2 to grab a medium/dark roast from Second Cup down the street. Or if you really want to treat yourself "Coffee Pocket" (10 min away) in Koreatown!
I bought a Keep Cup from here. The sales woman sold it to me as a “robust” product, because my wife’s previous one had broken. It cost $40. I gave it to my wife as a a birthday present. Before even using it once, she dropped the cup from a height of less than 1 foot, it bounced and shattered into many pieces right around where our newborn was. We went back to the store to ask for a refund because the product was not in the least robust, as advertised. In fact I would say that it was defective. The customer service person, Brendan refused to give us a refund or replacement and treated us very coldly. This was a very disappointing customer service experience and we will never purchase any products from this place again. Update: KeepCup will be sending us a new glass because there is actually a 30 day warranty that covers breakage. That replacement should have come from this establishment because that is good customer service. Thanks Keep Cup, no thanks Green Beanery.
That’s the first & last time I pay $7 (with tip $8) for a milky, watery tasteless “iced (melted in 5 mins) chai latte”... too bad, because the location is great
Wide variety of drinks to order. Can also get food from here l.
They have a lot of varieties of coffee. A friendly atmosphere with real cutlery and cups, so you can take a coffee without feeling bad about adding more plastic to the environment. I took a coffee decaf latter. Really good taste and beautifully served. The pastry was tasty and fresh. I had a wonderful time with my friend. I will go back for sure.
great coffee gear.. great coffee and great black Forest cake!!? ******* September 22 2019 revision... just went there today, ordered my favorite cake there for me and my son. they reduced their great portion for the price to a sliver of a slice! we had 2 slices of about 1 inch thick cake.. it was so thin, the slice had to be placed on its side on the plate. i love this place, but if you keep on reducing the portions.. this is disappointing.
My go-to place in the downtown area for coffee beans.
Love the ambience. The vault room is amazing and coffee is great too
Nice place to meet people and the staff are very kind and generous.
Nice atmosphere. But a coffee shop with chairs and tables and food but no WiFi?? Nuff said.
Just recently checked out the shop after ordering online all the time and it was the best coffee shop I've ever been to. The coffee and sandwiches were the best quality coffee shop eats I've ever had. Also They were blown away when I told them I roast my own coffee and just was there to taste how there master roasters do it. I guess I look really young to be taking an interest in the all natural way of drinking coffee. But I'm glad I always look younger then I am. Cause when I'm older I'll still look great. Thx for the compliment green beanery.
Cool coffee place with its own touch. Good vibes here
A hidden gem! Great menu choices for all tastes, coffee, tea and dessert to dream about. Try the vegetarian tortillas--worth a trip across the city. They're trying to go cashless as well, so bring a card.
Great coffee. Wished they had more regular breakfast options. Food was okey
Best green beans. Best prices today. Friendly staff.
Unfortunately would not recommend this coffee bar. It took ages for the barista to take my order even though there was only one person in front of me (very slow moving), they forgot my simple order (a tea) and after waiting for ten mins they only realized when I asked for it, and to make matters worse, after all that, I finally found a seat with my laptop, got up to get the wifi password, only to find out that there is no wifi. Why is this not clearly displayed or mentioned when you order? It's such an odd amenity not to have so it really should be made public. Very disappointing.
Interesting interior. Good menu. Lots of seating.
Finally, a shot of espresso that is not over extracted resulting in beautiful flavours. Great job.
Ughh, just awful coffee and service, please go elsewhere. No idea how this place is still in business.
Stumbled upon here. Sucker for coffee shops. Vibe and decor stands out upon entering. Love that they roast their own beans hence the name. As with many places, seating is at a premium and there's no WIFI (this is actually good for me as there's less squatters as a result). Coffee and Latte were ordered, wasn't anything stand out about it that I wouldn't expect from a place that specializes in it. Latte was beautifully made but alas I forgot to immortalize it in a electronic record.
Coffee was decent but not mind blowing, cortado was AMAZING. I will definitely be coming back for the cortado over and over. The French press coffee was mediocre. I can make better at home!
Great coffee place and great cakes.
The coffee is okay. There's no wifi (no affect on my rating but worth noting). This time when I went I tried a mango yogurt smoothie. I tried it with less sugar (they asked) to gauge their use of ingredients, but I don't even taste mango in this at all, it just tastes like yogurt with an almost unrecognizable amount of mango shreds (I only saw a few). it tastes awful.
Beautifully foamed latte! Delicious!
The iced chai latte I had just tasted like milk and water. There was no chai flavour, probably because the tea bag they used was only steeped for ~10 seconds and then was trashed. Even worse, the girl who made my drink was coughing throughout the whole process - wish she would've stayed home or had someone else make the drinks. Sad to say, but I think Starbucks is better.
Excellent decor, coffee and atmosphere
Not very family friendly. Doorway and table spacing aren't good for strollers. No diaper change table in the washroom.
It's a nice coffee shop with a little coffee equipment store inside. The coffee shop is great, and has a cool atmosphere. The equipment store is nothing special, but it has a ton of variety and everything one would need to brew coffee in many ways. They have pour overs, espresso machines, French presses, and more. The staff in the store, however, was unfortunately not very helpful. The green and roasted coffee selection is amazing, but somewhat disorganized. It might take you a few minutes to find what you want, but they'll almost certainly have it online. Overall, it's a great coffee shop with an equipment store that's good as long as you know what you want.
Ex bank with vault turned coffee shop, this place is large yet ud still be lucky to find a seat. Great decor and delicious coffee at this nice cafe in the Annex.
Great atmosphere! The old bank vault is still in place and can be used for meetings. Great selection of treats to accompany your tea or coffee
