Great coffee but service is bad. 1. I accidentally took my mask off so that the girl behind the counter can hear me, my bad, but she was so rude to tell me to put my mask back on, it’s almost made me felt that I was a 7 years old... 2. I asked if there’s access to power outlet when I placed the order, the answer is positive, only found out later that all outlets are disconnected... they knew it and told me it’s has been like this for long time. Now I have to find a new place to work since my laptop battery is completely drained. Great coffee but bad service.

Rekha

got a mocha, had a very bitter, acidic aftertaste (like over-extracted espresso) and there was no chocolate flavour.

Thanuja V

Great Coffee place with nice atmosphere. Coffee is great as well as their pastries. Not too sweet like typical North American style. My partner and I went there for chatting but it was difficult to sit there for a while because too crowded. I reduced the star due to the waiting time and no seats available for a long time but taste was good.

2020.09.25. The morning coffee walk was on Bay St and all the way to 140 Yonge St to "Dineen Coffee". The hot Americano is consistently great coffee. Bravo "Les Barrista des Dineen". It was a family walk so our order was 2 hot Americanos and two iced Americanos. Sitting outside on the patio was great and the weather nowadays is helping BIG time. 2020.08.28. Following my daughter's coffee recommendations, we did visit Dineen Coffee on Yonge Street. Not our first time maybe second or third. Sat outside and enjoyed coffee with some cookies (vegan). Coffee is good. They dont take cash. Pleasant service.

Top coffee place with very delicately tasty small bites. Try the apple walnut Brie sandwich. The place is mostly full of locals that pass by for a takeaway coffee dripped by the La Marzocco espresso machine. Cosy jazz music on the background

Gyumi Kim

Beautiful space. Went on a Sunday morning and were greeted with friendly, smiling staff. Excellent food recommendations, good music and vibe.

Christine Lopez

I really like how they designed the place! There aren't much seats though and it gets very busy in here. The matcha latte was okay but I have had better ones elsewhere. The scone was just okay too. I don't think I would really go back since there's nothing about this place that really stands out.

Coffee is great, speed is good given the volume of customers Baked goods are all professionally done.

Fiona Ham

Very eclectic location. Coffee is good but the place is too tiny, barely find a seat and if you do...it’s too cramped up you can hear everyone’s conversations. It’s very loud. The coffee is expensive but decent.

Jonsson Liu

Decked out with lavish red leather couches, marble tables, vintage lighting, retro interior, floor to ceiling window, the space is absolutely gorgeous. However, the good side kinda ends right there. Maybe it’s the early morning-the service was pretty unfriendly, the $5 latte comes with sloppy latte art. I’m sure there are better days but management - quality control and consistency is key. 2 stars.

Vedia Y

Great atmosphere and interior decor. Great place to meet friends over a great cup of coffee. Their cappuccino is one of the best in the city. I wish they had more seating as it is usually busy and seating is scarce, especially on weekends.

Lydia Foley

really great drinks, the patio area is really nice but wasn't very tidy - people left their garbage at the tables and it hadn't been cleared. Very busy inside the shop. Hard to hear the staff with all the safety measures in combination with how loud it was inside

Joey F (J)

Aesthetic spot. Espresso was pretty good as well. Nice patio here!

Brian d'Eon

Honest coffee has been great for years, but being one of the only places to let my toddler pee during COVID on a ride home. Priceless. Customer for life.

Sukhraj Hothi

Came across this place randomly looking for a London Fog and have to say it was definitely one of the nicer coffee shops I’ve been to! London Fog was a bit sweet for my liking but the atmosphere inside made up for it completely. They have a lot of really interesting pastries to try and look very decorative. Perfect for an Instagram story. Place was moderately busy when we showed up, took some time to get my drink but acceptable considering how popular the shop is. There are some tables free now and then, wouldn’t come here to work on evening. Best to come here for meeting people or casual conversations :)

Jamal Ginsberg

Great latte every single time. This hip place at the heart of the downtown core is a must try.

Natasha

Super cute cafe vibe, yummy vegan prepackaged overnight oats, and quality coffee. *straw-less establishment* (thumbs up)

Robert Perkins

The coffee (vanilla latte) was great and you cannot deny the space is beautiful. The service was lacking but they’re also so busy that it seems they’re just tired and moving through the motions. The other issue is seating which is a double edged sword. On the one hand there is plenty, which is needed because of how busy this coffee shop is. On the other hand the seats are so crammed together it makes it hard to navigate through the shop. It’s a nice spot to meet up with friends and if you can manage to get a seat it’s a space you can stay a while in.

Sarah Chalk

Love this coffee shop! Every time I visit my sister in TO we go. Their vanilla latte is one of the best I have has - super creamy and the coffee is amazing! Their baked goods are so fresh, moist, and delish! Their pistachio loaf and cranberry lemon scone are worth the visit.

Nick Corona

Best coffee shop in Ontario. As always, got a mocha and never disappointed. Also, try their Temperance beans, wow!!!

Angelos Malakontas

My favourite coffee place in Toronto. Step in and you will feel in Europe. Other than the ambiance, the coffee is great and above all the service is excellent. The friendly baristas are always smiling and ready to help. If you’re downtown and craving for a good coffee this is where to go.

Megan Tyrell

This is such a good cafe on Yonge street! A busy and popular spot so be prepared to wait for a seat but it is worth it! They make consistently delicious lattes and have such a nice and bright environment to work and meet with friends/business partners! They are also open early on weekends which is always a plus!

rateb aldrobi

The coffee here is fabulous. Tried the vanilla latte and cappuccino. Good assortment of muffins, would highly recommend the pistachio one.

Hadleigh Painter

Decent coffee and pastries but beautiful aesthetic. Not very spacious (especially with a line) but definitely worth checking out!

R W

Very aesthetically pleasing cafe, but was super disappointed by the temperance blend drip coffee, it was acidic, sour and bitter.

On_y_va Toujours

The decor and atmosphere is near perfect. The outdoor patio is great at this time of year. The coffee was delightful and hit the spot. Ordered one ice latte and one ice mocha. The latte was the perfect blend of coffee and milk. The cookies and other bake goods are great accompaniment for creamy rick espresso based brews.

Regan Lam

One of the little hidden gems you find downtown. It's a cafe by every definition of the word, from the low rumble of people talking, to its wide variety of appetizer and drink offerrings. It does get busy, so you probably won't immediately get a table for 2 or more people. However, it's immensely satisfying to partake in the environment as you feel right at home. I had the London fog. Note that some of their drinks have syrup added by default, so ask the barista if you have specific sweetness preferences.

Genevieve Higgins-Desbiens

Love the new location of Dineen! Look how beautiful this pumpkin spice latte is!

Joel Scott

The best iced tea I've ever had. Beautiful aesthetic. I had an espresso macchiato and it was amazing! They actually made it properly! Definitely worth a visit!

Ghengis Dhad

I love this place:)latte was really great not only taste but also latte art! the atmosphere in here was great too!

Ms. Maria Hansen Stiernholm

Busy place but great ambiance. Decor is lovely and the staff are friendly. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this spot about a week ago and decided to make this our “after-work-hangout”. Been a few times since. No 5 stars bc we just don’t like waiting for a spot to sit at a coffee shop.

Slo Vas

I don't like when I see very stresses atmosphere behind the bar and smiles to the customers. It's just wrong. Also, it's kinda fancy but not really clear what's behind. Coffee is very good but kinda overpriced. But the worst of all, it's very laud. Depending on the type of person you are, you could find this very nice place, but not really to me

Kate Hang

This morning I got a stare down instead of “next customer please” or “what can I get for you” or any other normal cue you’d expect when it’s your turn to order. So that was unpleasant. The latte and scone were great but I guess I’m much more accustomed to the friendly and laid back atmosphere at Dineen Outpost.

Sarah Baxter

Amazing coffee! The service is quick and polite, lots of seating and a patio. They have a lot of dairy free alternative milks: soy, coconut, oat and almond!

Alex St.Germain

One of the best coffee spots in Toronto. Fancy interior and fresh coffee.

JoAnn Chen

Five stars for the cold milk foam in iced lattes. I wish more places did that. Beautiful interior and convenient location in the downtown core.

Tom Cowan

My rating is heavily based on espresso (latte) performance. Dineen manually grinds, tamps and extracts their espresso shots. You will get better pulls than from a large chain. Their milk stretching and frothing is on point with an ability to do leaves. After a few lattes my impression is that they may be tamping to hard for the grind size and bean. I find the lattes are always just a bit too far into the bitter side for my enjoyment. You can buy beans here but they don't provide roast dates. Who knows what you are getting.

Willy Leung

Dineen will always be packed! However, this cafe is a good place in the city to catch a break with good coffee. The crowd is generally from the offices around , and it can get a bit loud. The Americano I had was great, and the staff were amazing.

Roei Weiss

From Japan:) Friendly staff and good pastries. Blueberry muffin was really good. Seemed to be quite popular.

Jordan Jones

Really delicious coffee in a fantastic converted historical space. There is even a tiny antique grated elevator with such intricate design. They've left some of the original features in the space, including the raw brick wall, the tiny balcony above the coffee bar, the original pillars and the giant ironworks door set into the brick. Very cool. Will be busy, but quite a bit of seating space inside and out.

Genevieve Anderson

Unique peppermint mocha was blessedly less sweet and less syrupy than starbux. Great value. Payment required touching the pinpad. No distancing or maximum capacity enforcement in lineup.

William Craig

Pecan square was superb, a small sized delight Skim milk latte, was nice and creamy but not my favorite bean/roast combination. The decor of the shop is so cute. Nice outdoor seating area. Great atmosphere but rather full, that being said probably my favorite cafe in the downtown area.

Csaba Hartmann

Great place to grab a coffee and a snack. I love their cortados and also the staff is super friendly making it overall a fantastic experience. There are also sandwiches and salads available to eat that tastes very well.

Eric Blay

the best Coffe in the city

Ali Jomaa

Great coffee, good cake! Love the vibe of the place. Always crowded so that must be good :)

Cathrina Torres

Cute little spot for a quick coffee and pastry. I just wish this place was a little bigger for more seating. Its next to impossible to find a table. It would also be nice if they offered to warm up the pastries for you. The decor of this place is contemporary and trendy, with unique tiled floors.

Delicious coffee! Great location! Nice interior! What is not to like here. Great spot to work if you like a loud vibe. Lots of traffic, young crowd. You'll like it if you enjoy a hip place. I got the flat white, it was fantastic. Finished in no time.

Being as that there are so many fantastically unique coffee shops in Toronto, a good friend and I have made it a habit to meet up at a new one each time that we get together, which, prior to the pandemic, was about once a week. He introduced me to Dineen's shortly after my move to Toronto several years ago and even having experienced so many other shops, Dineen's remains one of my favourites for just as many reasons as trips I've made there. The shop itself is aesthetically drool-worthy and it's impossible not to appreciate the ways in which the integrity of the original building has been maintained. It makes for a unique, warm, welcoming space despite the ever-encroaching plague of dull concrete that downtown is slowly becoming. Along with a beautifully cozy atmosphere, Dineen's offers up a variety of options to satisfy just about every taste, all of which are prepared to perfection. I can always be assured when ordering something that it will be delicious as their house blends are very strategically chosen to best match each preparation method. I'm typically just a drip coffee drinker and even that is enough to keep me going back. I can always count on great quality and am pleasantly surprised that there's a very reasonable price tag that goes along with it. What makes visiting Dineen's such a fantastic experience though is the warmth of their staff. I never feel condescended in having to ask questions if I'm not sure of my order, am always able to count on and trust recommendations as they really know their stuff (I've literally never been steered wrong), and know that I'll be greeted with a friendly face every time, which is an impressive feat. Thanks guys, you're doing an amazing job!

Catherine Young

Coffee is great, service is quick and friendly and the actual venue itself is beautiful. It's always quite busy and as such can get a bit loud at times. Overall great spot recommend checking out downtown.

Cara Ware

Love love love. Gorgeous interior, great staff, tasty coffee. Dineen Coffee Co. is what I imagine city coffee houses to be! It’s not pretentious and I don’t feel “too old” or “not cool enough” when I visit. It’s not pricey, especially when compared to other coffee shops in Toronto. It’s modern, well laid out, great for sitting in or take out, and clearly has a broad demographic of guests - this is important to me as it demonstrates quality service and menu items, rather than a trend. I would go every day if I could!

LARGE ONE

Good location. Good atmosphere. Good coffee. But always This cafe is busy, I can’t feel relaxed here ☕️

Davis Town

Best iced vanilla ice latte and mocha latte especially with oat milk! So good had to go twice in a row!

Steven Susanto

Their outdoor counter and terasse is cute. For downtown, it is a sweet spot to stop by. The staff is very friendly.

Just one travel lover

Delicious coffee and sweets, we were waiting for a seat on Sunday lunchtime. Affordable prices.

Morteza Karimian

Loved their cappuccino! It was made perfectly. The vibe was relaxed and the staff are friendly. A good place to catch up with some good company.

Oliver Wood

The place was packed when i got there so i had to wait about 20 mins to get a good seat. This place is perfect for a meeting DT, i was able to get a lot of work done here (don't bother working here if you don't like noise). The latte is honestly the best i have ever had.

Naeim Roudehchi

It’s so busy here! I just wish there was more room. It’s a bit loud but it’s nice and classy in here. I got the London fog tea latte. It was so comforting, but I don’t think I’d pay for this normally. It’s more of a treat myself kind of tea. It was really good, I hope to check out the other locations.

Love the coffee. Soy lattes are are my go to and Dineen never disappoints. Vegan treats would given them a 5 star.

Cansin Karahan

The Dineen coffee location on Yonge Street has to be one of the nicest coffee shops the the city. Located in a historic Toronto building they serve excellent coffee and baked goods. Their patio is also a great spot to enjoy your favorite hot or cold beverage. If you're looking for a place for a casual coffee or meeting I highly recommend it.

Nada Ismaiel

Love coming here! I’ve already been here a few times and it is always such Grewal service, beautiful indoor decor and such a comfortable and warm atmosphere! Their cappuccino is, as always, so good!!

Sarah Yahya

Love love love this cafe! Ultra cute and very Parisian. If you’re like me and longing for those days where you can be on those cute chairs outside to people watch - this is perfect for just that. To give a bit of perspective of how often I come here, the barista knows my name because every weekend, I’ll come here to either work on my french or do work. Sitting outside is wonderful, the terrace faces the quiet temperance street which gives a little bit of a private and quiet space, perfect for people watching or doing work. Even inside, the space is very cute; cute floors, cute decor, marble top tables - perfect for y’all instagram addicts. Coffee wise - amazing! Great amount for the price you pay. Definitely worth every penny! The only reason why I will not be coming here on days when I really need to get work done is due to the bad internet connection they have!

Jessica Diep

Best coffee in Toronto so far ( i am a coffee lover but can't find the same taste anywhere else)

Rhut Virani

A Good to place have a evening coffee. Always full of people. Nice brews and good sitting. Large windows for the street views. Great place to work in a open view place with good coffee.

Emily Norman

One of the best coffee spots in the city. The interior decor is very hipster but the coffee is amazing! You can smell it right when you come in. The regular drip coffee has so much flavour to it. The food selection is great I personally love all the pistachio flavoured items.

Max Park

Excellent espresso. Smooth and flavourful. I recommend the lattes. Expertly crafted and great service! Limited seating and loud cause it gets packed but that’s expected in a popular spot.

Masood Ahmed Siddiq

Hands down the best coffee ever. I got some of their “Temperance” coffee home and it smells/ tastes so good. I can vouch that you will not find similar coffee elsewhere. They label the roast date and pack it so well. You have earned a loyal and true fan!! Great job!!

Rohitash Hurla

A great coffee place atmosphere where it is quite European style decor. The coffee it self is nice but the great downtown vibe is the one to die for. If you are planning on studying, I would recommend to bring a headphone and get there as early as possible because it does get crowded quite fast as it is a popular coffee shop and the location around the area is always packed

Ellen Wong

Not the best place for studying or working as it's usually quite busy and very loud with chatter and music. Echoing other reviewers, it tends to be difficult to find seating, especially as a group. However, they have outdoor seating, and a set of bar stools behind the counter that usually has space. Although prices were a little high, their coffee has this unique pleasant berry taste to it, and I thought it was worth the try.

Ahmed A

Great Coffee. The mocha had a balanced flavour., not too sweet and had a rich espresso taste.

Jorge Campos

Dineen is one of the best cafes when it comes to the choices and how strong the coffees are. However, due to lack of charging spots for students not being convenient, it becomes a little inconvenient to chose this cafe as an option. The bathrooms also aren’t always clean. Apart from that the serves are really friendly and their turmeric latte is delicious. Would definitely go there for take out coffee place.

Olivia F

Stopped by on a Thursday around lunch time. Relatively busy, good ambience with people studying and on lunch dates. I got the vanilla latte which was great! Good combination of coffee and not too sweet! Definitely recommend if in the area and want to try something new!

Nick S

Best coffee I have had in a very long time. Regular latte was smooth, rich and memorable. Can't wait to go back. Recommendations: - Standard Latte (so smooth and creamy, no need for sugar) - Jalapeno and Cheddar scone

samreen Chopra

Great shop, delicious treats and good drinks, sometimes the espresso tastes a off to me, almost sweet which is where I dock the star. The location is lovely and the patio is great for the summer. The place is almost always packed and a bit narrow so seating can be hard to get.

Nguyen My

Lovely and cozy place for morning coffee ????

Yasmin A.

Excellent vibes and great coffee. Beautiful blend of heritage and modern furniture and lighting. Very comfy and cosy space. Came at 9:30am on a Sunday and the place was moderately busy, but quiet and comfortable. Banana chocolate muffin was fantastic, pretty good blueberry scone, and their latte was beautiful and light, with great coffee flavour. Definitely recommend.

Ryan Resmer

Good coffee , beautiful interiors and staff is very helpful

Best coffee in the area! Everyone is so friendly and kind. I’ve never had a bad experience when I visit Dineen. I could sit in their comfortable chairs all day, drink coffee and eat their amazing brownies. Highly recommend!

Sam J

I had a fantastic tasting vanilla cappuccino, took a bit of time to make it but well worth the wait. Be warned this place seem to always be busy when I stop by and the staff manage to be courteous with a bit of an edge, difficult to find a place to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere as it’s not a large space.

Heather Boyd Wire

I searched Google for coffee shops in Toronto and Dineen came up often in my search. The decor is super trendy and contemporary with high ceilings and a spectacular chandelier. It's a very popular spot with seating outdoors in the summer. Many locals take their coffee to go. Also have delicious fresh treats.

Calin Alexander

It's not bad. The most important thing, the coffee here, is slightly bland. The variety is essentially null as they brew only one roast for both espresso and drip (aside from maybe one special drip variation?). The Americano tastes of bland chocolate and comes too hot, but finished smooth. The service and atmosphere are nice here, great colors and very open. The patio is lovely and large. Gets very busy especially at lunch time. Prices are nothing special.

Nazanin N

Beyond good tasting coffee! Vanilla latte is a must.

artemis zarnegar

The staffs were so rude and impolite, they did not care about the customer. The tables were dirty but they had not cleaned them.

Carly Janes

Great coffee place to meet and catch up with friends. Love the decor, both outside and inside. Friendly and efficient service.

Joey Moisica

Such a cute and homey place to grab a coffee and treat. We stopped by in the morning and were able to walk right up to the counter, but by the time we left the Cafe was full! Our drinks were perfect along with the muffins. Definitely try the zucchini and carrot muffin! We very much enjoyed being able to sit outside and enjoy the warm weather. Perfect start to our day.

C P

Another super Coffee place to get hand crafted coffee drinks. Love the selection of sweet or savory scones, muffins, croissants. At 11am they have an array of baguette sandwiches. Its located in an amazing historic building.

Kaylee Lin

Really busy cafe with tons of people coming through all the time, but the staff are really friendly and the cappuccino is great! Really pretty coffee art. The cafe also has really nice decor!

Rainfeeling Jerry

Coffee is great, I have red tea latte and drip today. The atmosphere here is even better, light is perfect, you can always see people here chat, meeting with the great coffee.

Smitha Muralidharan

Awesome coffees and espressos. I usually go for the cortado. Always consistent even if it is super busy.

Owais Lightwala

Great design and ambiance, but it's a bit smal and gets crowded in peak times, so good luck finding a seat

Michael Woloszynowicz

Been coming here for a few years and the coffee is probably the best in Toronto. Just about any drink you order is delicious and perfectly prepared. Their baked goods are just OK but this is a minor complaint. Come here for the nice atmosphere, good service and amazing drinks. The patio has a really nice vibe too.

Paul Davidescu

I love meeting friends here over lunch. Great location, design and environment is lovely, staff are always super friendly. Sure, it’s busy and sometimes it’s hard to get a seat, but that’s because everyone knows how good it is here. They now are also servicing these mini sandwiches, which is nice when you just need a little something to hold you over.

Mariz Nashed

Such a cute cafe! The location is good. We got a coffee and a chocolate chip cookie.

Kimberly Wint

Delicious scones!! The banana and blueberry one is to die for. My only problem is please start making more if I don’t get there right at 7am I’m out of luck :( and I need my scone fix.

Vik Theeson

Dineen offers some of the best coffee in Toronto, and you pay a price fair for that quality. Their cappuccino is amongst the best I've had; rich flavours with no bitterness. The interior is chique, clean and the patio is a nice touch. My only suggestion is to offer a better selection of pastries and or cakes.

Taylor Perkins

The vanilla lattes, both hot and iced, are fantastic. This location has great retro decor and is generally fun to visit. Its also overrun with people on laptops, so I’ve found it difficult to grab seats for the ~15 min I’d like to stay and drink my coffee.

Christopher Bozek

Beautiful place to grab a coffee and croissant - sit on the patio and take in the city. Crazy busy in the afternoon but serene in the receipt morning. Among my fav spots for caffeine.

CAI GAN XIAN Lucas

Great coffee and selection of bakery items. Ordered almond latte - fantastic just like at home Australia

Roxanne Joncas

Excellent coffee place. Love the atmosphere.

Erin Scrimshaw

A cute and trendy coffee shop! I order a chai latte and it was really good. However it is a bit on the pricey side and they didn't have any food when I went.

N M

Visited very recently with a friend. Loved the coffee and the banana loaf bread and the brownie. The staff was humble and they informed in advance that they would close by 8 PM. The place gets very busy in the evening so there’s it’s usually noisy. But it is a great place to sit down for coffee near the eaton centre and union station.

Simon Williams-Im

What a magical gem in the heart of the city. We had delicious vanilla latte with lactose free milk - steamed milk and a great atmosphere! A perfect place to catch-up, chill, study and work!

maddy simpkins

The carrot cake muffin is to die for!!! I understand it might be a covid thing, but it would be awesome to have coffees and treats “for here” served in mugs / on plates again!

John L

Been waiting to go to this place for a year. Finally went today. I had high expectations and this place met all of them! These two pics are of a Vanilla Latte and a Pistachio muffin.

Valerie

Not as expensive as it looks! Atmosphere is fantastic and the drinks are delicious. Dineen's is usually busy but there is inside and outdoor seating. Best London fog I've ever had.

Christine

This place is fabulous! My friend and I got two cappuccinos, a muffin and a scone and they were absolutely delicious! Very reasonable prices, the service was lovely and the ambiance is top notch. I will most definitely be coming back here on my next trip to Toronto.

Wisdom of Limes

This place is clean, efficient and busy. This makes it hard to hang out and have a real conversation. The coffee is good, the architecture interesting, the patio is lovely in the summer. And the flowers are real! Their chai lattes are good with lots of cinnamon.

Paul Steele

Great Coffee shop with a wonderful heritage fitout. Indoor and outdoor seating. The coffee is very good, The staff are friendly and make you feel like they are happy you are there. I personally prefer table service, but here you order and pickup at the counter. Highly recommended spot for your morning or afternoon caffeine fix.

Zachary Fejes

Great atmosphere. Came here during the weekend, so I manage to find a spot (I know this place can get really busy during the week). Latte is rich and flavorful. Rich in a sense that it comes from a strong espresso shot, not artificially flavored to make it to taste stronger by adding bitterness (like Starbucks does). Pastry is fresh and fluffy. Worth every penny here and would love to visit again next time I am in the area.

D. M.

I used to love going here but the staff are so rude and disorganized. I ordered a coffee sat down and was doing some work after exactly hour they said my time was up and I had to leave. The cafe was 100% empty i soap I understand the rule when its busy but of o buy something else can i get another hour i had to wait for the supervisor who said that was fine because it was so dead so I bought a 16 $ salad and sat down not even 5 minutes later another girl approached my table and said I had to leave i said I spoke to the supervisor and she said there is no supervisor and she doesn't think its fair that I get to sit there just because no one else was there. I wouldnt have bought a 16$ salad to carry home. And I definitely don't expect a batista to talk to customers so rudley. I can find somewhere else for my 7$ daily coffee thanks.

Troy Ferrell

Amazing coffee shop with great decor. The place just smells wonderful as you enter. Would definitely visit here again for another cup

Rebecca Kang

Good drinks, really great coffee. Seating is usually hard to find, very busy

Priyanka Yogesh

Had the most amazing vanilla latte of my life here.

Rishabh Khullar

Love the coffee. Love the food. Love the service. I love everything about this place. The fact that is was next to my office, and it became my go to place for my afternoon coffee; it reminds me of the pre-pandemic days. This is one of a kind, state of the art cafe. Their Americano is LOVE.

Andrew Neary

Food is well priced and all the staff are super friendly

David Campbell

Beautiful Cafe in Downtown Toronto, great brownies, and very good Hot Chocolate! If anyone is ever in Edmonton, AB go to 1974 Cocoa. Their Hot chocolate is better imo, however this Dineen is quite pleasant!

Zaybae FoodQuality

This is a beautiful cafe. The general aesthetic is warm and cozy. The yellow light from the chandelier and the wide open space provided by the windows let in natural light too. It is just a generally good looking place. I ordered the lemon ginger tea. It was delicious. The actual flavour of ginger was subtle and I was worried it might be unpleasantly sour from the lemon but it wasn’t. It was overall a good hot tea. I also ordered the carrot cake and blueberry lemon muffin. The actual cake from both desserts were really good, however the icing on the carrot cake missed the mark. Something about it was off and the biggest reason was the fact that it wasn’t a cream cheese icing. I couldn’t enjoy it as properly. My friend ordered the matcha latte. It felt like maybe she got a cup of milk with a minuscule size of matcha. A bit unfair for the price of the drink. We wanted matcha not a cup of frothed milk. Hopefully they’ll work on that for the future. It’s super loud in there around the afternoon. So if you’re going there to study, don’t bother. Or just have a really good pair of noise-cancelling headphones. That was pretty much my experience there. Nice view of Younge St. But nothing to extraordinary.

Meredith Chou

Great coffee& small but nice patio.

Hector Carvajal

For a coffee shop they only have one kind of coffee beans (which has a very awful flavour, probably mixed with milk would be better). The place is nice but crowded. I definitely don’t recommend for a espresso shot.

Good coffee if you like lattes and mochas. Lovely ambiance and a nice escape from the Toronto summer heat (and the cold in the winter). Decent pastries. Socially distanced tables and wifi if you’re looking to hang out/get some work done, but a tad loud and very busy so you’d need to come early to snag a spot.

Shayne Douglas Ward

Love this coffee shop! The coffee is delicious - my favourite is their iced vanilla latte. I also buy their temperance roast to make their coffee at home - they will even grind the beans for whatever machine you are using! Also love all of their pastries - their carrot cake muffin, cheddar and chives scones, yum!

My favourite cafe in Toronto! Yes a beautiful cafe and the vanilla latte gets me every time! It can be a bit snug if you have your coffee at the cafe but it's a great meet up location. All in all, if you're here for the coffee, this place will not disappoint!

Gillian Caldwell

Good coffee. Takeout cups leak easily though.

Sean W

I liked the coffee but it's not consistent depending on the barista serving you.

Apple Island

I ordered vanilla latte and was surprised that they didn’t make latte art for me. It might small things, but my favourite cafe always make latte art even they are busy. So I thought latte has to have art. I was very disappointed…

Phil Kidd

Great coffee spot with very robust flavour. Their chai is one of the best I've tried, and they have a few vegan snacks to choose from (chia granola pudding or brownie bites).

Love this place. They always have perfect lattes and and a great selection of pastries that are fresh and delicious.

Aayat Mir

Good coffee, great ambiance, and a nice chill place for a good sit down. A decent spot for catching up or having a chat.

Charbel

Dineen Coffee was amazing. I loved everything about this place. The coffee was great and the service was friendly. I loved the interior and the vive, in the heart of the city, I didn’t expect such a jewel. The pastries are good, different options. I recommend leaving with one of their coffee bags for home, the Nicaraguayen one was amazing. However, it’s a very crowded place, so I wouldn’t go with a big group. Probably would keep it under 3 people ????.

emily wojcik

Nice coffee and great service will be my fav coffeeeeee spot soon

Prashanth S

Good cafe with a nice aesthetic. Often difficult to get seating as they have a nice patio and some indoor seating which is very popular. Less busy during COVID. Quality is consistent, never had issues with service, prices are standard for downtown Toronto coffee. Would recommend.

Mena Ianniello

Went there on a with a girl after Lena. Cute spot, nice lighting and interior. We got Turmeric Coffees. I loved it and my date hated it. She was able to return it and get a latte with no issues. That was nice.

Saba Abd Manaf Sahib

What a cozy little place; I just happen to walk in randomly. A very pleasant atmosphere, great tea selection! It got a little busy but if you have some music in your ears, it is the best little place to get some work done

Rupert A.

If in east downtown, I usually meet with my network at Dineen. It’s a nice spot with a relaxing vintage ambiance. The coffee is ok and sometimes orders are missed or late (happened to me at least twice) but I like the feel of the place.

Location location location + great atmosphere + amazing coffee. How can it go wrong?

Aaisha Vawda

Great indoor setting for working or studying although it gets quite busy / noisy. Great coffee, one of the best iced lattes.

Nicholas Tartaglia

I enjoyed my Cortado. My butter peach muffin was phenomenal. Although my friends did not like their latte as it had a peculiar taste. Overall aestically pleasing and good taste!

Greg Dwulit

Good place to sit and have a cup of coffee in the morning when it's not busy. Can be difficult to find a seat in the afternoon. Great location, one of my go to places for coffee. Ambiance is very aesthetic, if it's a sunny afternoon the light comes through the window perfectly.

Raed Hussein

One of my favorite coffee shop in Downtown of Toronto

Mami

I used to go to this coffee shop when I was in Toronto. It’s located near Eaton Centre and Hudson’s Bay. Busy as always, people are gathering to get special coffee and pastries! All of staffs are kind, working hard. I love it! I’d honestly love to visit again whenever If I have a chance :)

Cody Ryan

I come from Oshawa just to be at this location. Super clean, old school and warm place. The best damn coffee and service in Ontario. Absolutely legendary and one of the original institutions in the city. I love it.

love stopping in here when i am in the city. great ambiance!

Gave this place so many chances. Absolutely loved the first coffee I received, it was hands down best I had had in the city at the time. Now, every time I've been recently, the coffee has been burnt (coming from a barista, I know burnt coffee). It was bitter and highly unpleasant, even after adding a sweetener to try and mask the taste. Staff are also hit and miss. One day they're lovely, the next you're a hindrance just for ordering a coffee.

Lauren Klein

One of the best coffee shops in Toronto. This place is packed at all times of the day, making it difficult to find a place to sit in the cold months. But if you do, you'll find that their coffee and beverages are well-made and the ambiance of the place is great for either work, or catch-up with friends, or if you're just looking to enjoy a cup of good coffee.

shideh abedi

Decor is beautiful. It's got an European vibe. I ordered the cappuccino and caught up with a friend here. Good times. This was my first cappuccino art experience. I'm not a big coffee drink so I can't comment on the coffee's taste.

Yasmina Gaber

(2019-12-21) I’ve been here +20 times. Barista performance needs to improve. Nice decor and decent beans are overwhelmed by subpar coffee making.

Salma Bakr

Iced tea tasted like water but service and atmosphere were really nice and staff are kind

Zoe C

Loved the atmosphere and the people! they were all modern and trendy. The downside was that it is too small and unless you find a seat on the couch (which is almost impossible) and you sit on the stool in the round small tables, they do not have back assistance so if you have a laptop or want to sit for more than 20 minutes, your back will definitely suffer.. Other than that the coffee was tasty and it did not take as long as some other people say and I went prime hour 11:00am until 13:30pm

Melanie McDonald

One of my favourite cafés in the heart of Toronto to visit near both the Eaton Center and the lakefront. The coffee is delicious and my regular order never disappoints!

Adrian Galindo

Great people, great atmosphere, great pastries, and great coffee. This is definitely my favorite café in the financial district. It's usually busy, but if you can get a spot on the large bench seat, go for it.

Spencer Tommy

Overall really nice coffee shop decor is very nice Coffee is ok pastries are not bad……

Danny Luk

A very convenient location for a cup of latte in downtown Toronto

Bradford Smith

Place is in a coffee deprived location at the base of Yonge Street in an old factory building. A great re-purpose that is well decorated and respectably clean. The coffee is tasty, hot and always fresh. The staff, for the most part...are pleasant with few exceptions. We would return!

J C

A good location to get a great tasting cup of espresso with a nice atmosphere. Busy location, attracts a trendy crowd and modern decor, patio seating available here but it is not easy to find a seat. The staff here are very friendly, and they provided good service.

Rasha Hjeily

Tried this place because I heard it was great and oh man it was! I had an almond milk latte (pretty standard) but not exaggerating when I tell you it was the best latte I’ve ever had. It’s such a nice place to study or talk among friends. Great aesthetic! Great for making that Instagram feed look nice too :P Definitely a favourite!

Nick Koh

Classy place to sit down and chat over a coffee. Elegant interior design. Staff are very professional. Ordered the Cortado. Note that the place is very popular and you might not find seats, you can offer coffee to go.

Review Toronto

Take out

Carly

Delicious coffee that has a special taste to it (I had a cappuccino) and muffins. I visited during lunch time and the seating was limited (hence 4 stars) so it was not very comfortable for eating in and as a tourist I didn’t want to have my drink and food in the cold. Staff are friendly so I would recommend this place

Michael Hansen

This is a great cafe with an awesome atmosphere and really great coffee. The staff was friendly and the service was pretty quick given how busy this place was. It’s a little hard to find a place to sit because of how popular it is but if you can’t stay to enjoy the coffee shop you will still enjoy the coffee to go.

Jason Knapp

Good coffee. But they don't seem to like their customers. They have a web site with hours and contact information. But the hours don't match reality. And instead of giving you basic information about locations and hours, the phone number just takes you to voice mail. I suddenly feel bad about patronizing this place.

Christine Clemens

Great coffee, staff, and aesthetic! Loving stopping by here!

Spencer Cole

Terrible customer service. Told by a Dineen server to wait outside in the rain as we were standing too close to the indoor rubbish bins. No idea the supposed hazard we were causing, but we will never come back.

Sin Jaz

Great latte, the cookies are really good- I’ve tried the chocolate chip sea salt, ginger and Nutella. The decor inside is beautiful and there’s seating outside as well.

Martin Peakovic

no covid considerations and extremely long wait for mediocre coffee. Toronto is full of excellent cafes, don't waste your time here

Susan Turland

Easily my favourite coffee in Toronto. Great coffee, awesome service and beautiful ambience ❤️

Zheren Yang

Among decor. Love the 1920s vibe. Probably the most beautiful coffee shop in Toronto

Darrell Sloan

It is a nice Cafe. But there is not a lot of room and tables are really close. I had a ham an Swiss sandwich. It was ok. I arrived at 11am and there was only one table free. By noon a lot of people left and new people came for lunch. I think it is always busy. Nice decor.

Jibran Imtiaz

The coffee is very good - decent selection of sweet stuff and not much in terms of sandwiches etc. The decor is beautiful and service is good.

Cam McCallum

Delicious coffee and scones, good music and nice atmosphere.
