As a local REALTOR and parent with kids at a nearby school, I find myself visiting Discovery Coffee all the time. The staff is attentive and friendly and the coffee is reliably delicious. Try some of the donuts if you need a sugar rush :)

Ordered a hot chocolate and this honey cruller. Quaint shop and does take-out only during pandemic period. Staff is friendly and auto adds a 12% tip on to the bill to save customer the need to press buttons.

I don't think they know what a tip is as it was calculated into the price. They just don't pay their employees enough then put it on the consumer. I like when it's my choice to tip. Service was mediocre.

Great atmosphere, the staff are lovely, the donuts are to die for, and the coffee is choice. It's family friendly, there's rotating artwork available for purchase, and the records they play are always funky and fun. 10/10

Not Friendly to Laptop Users! The owners have decided to cover up the electrical outlets so you can't charge a cell phone or laptop! Imagine that in 2016! I think someone needs to remind them that the power consumption of these devices is miniscule, far less than the GIGANTIC markup on their coffee products....sheesh, how cheap can you get?

Corner coffee shop where the staff are always friendly and greet you when you come in. Coffee is reasonably priced. And they spin vintage vinyl. This is an active, busy location where FaceTime is headphone free. So be prepared for the coffee shop buzz. Frequented by locals and travellers. Recommend.

The guy was super nice even though I didn't know what I was doing. First time going to Discovery Coffee and it was excellent, great service, great coffee. Love the covid precautions they've got going on! I'll definitely be making this a regular shop from now on.

Discovery does such a good job with creating really enjoyable, warm environments, I tend to insist on them over any coffee shop in town. They have good single origins on pour over, amazing artisan doughnuts, and always a comfortable place to sit with friends and family. All for shops are worth a stop.

Great pastries, coffee was okay. Was looking forward to a siphon made coffee but this location no longer uses a siphon even though it was described on their website. Pour over is a great substitute but it didn't taste as good as it should have (Kenya Kiangoi). Perhaps it was over extracted which I would attribute to some of the bitter flavours and that the resulting coffee was a full 16oz.

I love discovery, but some of the staff at the Oak Bay location can be so rude, and rarely make my drink as ordered. After a few times of getting a latte, served with snark, regardless of what I ordered, I won't be returning.
