The coffee is sub-par, but what really gives it 3 stars are the apathetic kids running the bar. Seriously, they *might* still be in high school. Sorry guys, but I don't want to see you eating or chewing your gum obnoxiously while you're making my morning breakfast. Try to be a little professional and little less 'cool'..

I want to give this place a higher rating because one day their coffee was made perfectly but my only gripe about this place is that it isn't consistent! I still go here on a dice roll that they will have that perfect brew every now and again. But if it was just a bit more consistent this honestly would be my fave spot on Saturdays since I always have to pass by here during my commute. But to be honest if I'm just having a bad, tiring day, I really don't even risk it and just go Starbucks because it's a sure thing.

Terrible, awful place. They use disposable cups for the water fountain rather than also having reusable cups, extremely wasteful place. There's a tv that plays sports and commercials; it completely ruins the atmosphere. There is also another tv screen solely for advertisements, it's flashy and obnoxious and is just there to make them money. The food is simple and over priced. The coffee was stale and overly acidic. It doesn't even deserve one star. If you have any concern for quality, your own body or the environment, I would recommend the other cafe a block up or even the raw cafe that has coffee down the street over this franchise place.

Used to be Bean Around the World, now is Shipyards coffee. Spent 10 bucks on lates, was the worst I've ever had. Tasted like burnt dirty water. Was pretty bummed because I come here a lot and have never had a coffee this bad. will not be returning

Coffee average. Cleanliness poor the place looks kinda beat. Think it need a shut down and good scrub. Ordered a extra expense cookie to discover it was dough still in middle and overall gross. How hard is it to bake a cookie? Also tried two muffins both were unimpressive. Many better options around for this type of affair.

Great spot as always the service was 100% best. Moving on, I wanted to respond to Vantana Clovelly's comments below. I actually met that guy and he doesn't even have that strong an opinion on cheese and would appear to have just been venting on the internet. But he seems to moving, expanding his interests unto other dairy products, and having some pleasant results with cottage cheese and kefir.

Its cozy place. However, the owners (the couple) are not polite at all (except the baristas). I’ve go to this place at least 4 days in a week. Today when I dropped my bagel and I asked for the new one the owner asked me to pay for it and once I said that I don’t want it any more, she told me that the customers should leave the store after sitting there for half an hour and thats their policy. (I was there for one hour). When I told her that why she doesn’t ask the gentleman sitting beside my table to leave since he was there before me, she said “you should not take it personally, you’re sitting with your laptop first of all and he already knows the policy. Second, she told me you’re sitting in the lower tables and (even though there was no other customer in the coffee shop) she claimed that majority of customers prefer to sit on this tables rather thank the tall ones( then maybe it is beneficial for business to invest in lower tables rather than DISCOURAGING customers from spending time) The owners unfortunately are very penny pinching and racist and they do not have COURTESY for their customers at all.

Good coffee and scones but how do you expect to stay in business opening a coffee shop at 9:00? I have skipped you the last 10 days I’ve been in town for the new place in shipyards even though your coffee is better. Why wouldn’t you open earlier and close earlier. No one cares about coffee in the afternoon.... just saying!

Love the coffee here! I recommend this place to anyone visiting the shipyards market on a Saturday. Busy on the weekends but worth the wait. Lemon coconut squares are also awesome.

Great atmosphere and good coffee. A cozy spot on a cold rainy day (nice stone fireplace) and nice patio on warm sunny days. Pretty good breakfast sandwiches & wraps (pre made, but it's done in the store and they're heated up on the grill) and a good selection of muffins etc.

I spent a few hours there studying, but there were two of the staff playing obnoxiously loud music and yelling at each other about where they're going out to party that night... C'mon guys, it's a coffee shop, people want to study and chill here, time to grow up. Or hire better staff

I really like the location , it's super cosy and I love to hang out there . Well ..I used to love it . These two (I would guess east European?) young girls unfortunately are very childish , don't make good coffee (very watery ) and are constantly speaking in their language which is an absolute no-go! It's impolite , disrespectful and makes people feel uncomfortable. They've been very loud and "playing " when not serving . It's very unfortunate as it absolutely kills the mood and the usually very good coffee .

Just came in for a bacon breakfast wrap. All I got was a tube of scrambled eggs. That’s it. I guess it’s lucky I’m stuck at work and can’t get anything else for breakfast. Not the first time an order has been wrong, but this was enough for me to give you a write about it.

I go here on my way to and from work, and the baristas are always friendly. I love that their coffee is rainforest approved and with such a wide variety. Customer service is what I love the most. They always start conversation and dont stick their nose up at your questions about the fancy coffees. Very inviting, clean and comfortable.
