Update: After visiting the place myself multiple times, I can happily say that I've had no complaints. Granted, unlike the complaint below, I've only ordered coffee. Staff seem friendly, and quick. My only concern, which is something they can't fix or resolve, is the lack of quality seating room. At both Twiggs locations, due to their earned popularity, seating is limited and I always feel so crowded when I'm there. There is a section of quality seating near the back, but it's always taken when I show up. Original 1-Star Complaint Below: My pregant wife and mother-in-law went here tonight with my one year old. They ordered a pizza. There were no other patrons dining here. They waited for 30 minutes and then asked about the pizza and was told it would be ready soon. They waited another 15 minutes for the food (45 total), when an employee asked them if they were waiting for a pizza. They said yes. The employee half-heartedly apologized and explained that a "glitch" meant that the "computer in the back didn't register that a pizza had been ordered. And that a pizza never was being cooked. Understandable mistake, if the place was super busy. But if there are only two diners to occupy your attention with, you can't make sure their food is on their way? At this point my one year old was super fussy and they couldn't wait any longer. The employee made sure to only reimburse the pair for the exact change of the pizza ordered and not the two drinks they filled their bellies with while they waited for the pizza that never came. The employee seemed puzzled why my mother-in-law would suggest they be reimbursed for the two drinks and even suggesting that they should receive a gift card for the time lost. At the end of the day my pregnant wife, child, and mother-in-law left hungry, and the Twiggs' employees were left puzzled why anyone would be upset by the ordeal. Words used to describe the girls working here: Daft, clueless, oblivious to their surroundings, dishonest (because they didn't check the order when asked, but simply said the pizza was on the way and couldn't be bothered), unsympathetic.

Loved this Coffee place in Downtown North Bay . Great selection of coffee and was nice they had whole beans for sale. Prices were ok and the atmosphere was very friendly. The staff was helpful and very pleasant. My only complaint is the parking is tight and the lot should be marked better go cars ..this would give more parking as many just random park taking up valuable space. Besides this was nice to discover this place and I highly recommend it..

For the new location - super slow, unprofessional service. looks dirty over the counter. took 15 minutes to get a bagel with peanut butter and jam. also going through the drive thru, their menu has different prices of what you're charged when paying. one item in particular seems to have jumped a dollar in price and the change wasn't made on the drive thru menu and they wouldn't honor it, due to their own mistake. because of this experience, i will not go back and I will tell my friends about my experience too. starbucks is opening up close by so they need to set up their game if they want to remain competitive in any way. it's unacceptable to have such slow sloppy service and rip off pricing.

My partner lives down the street and we used to go a few times a week. We love Twiggs. Unfortunately this location has lost our business. We have both experienced our orders that are wrong more than they get it right while both of us have been sick at separate times from the smoked salmon, which used to be our favourite. Today will be our final time going to the Fraser location. They had got my food order wrong and iced latte order wrong twice as we were headed to Sudbury. Luckily enough the kindest lady Kim, a manager at the sturgeon falls location made a very kind and generous exception to redo my drink order. Twiggs on Fraser is not a good representation of Twiggs and for now has totally and completely lost its spark in us. I do not recommend.

Dear twiggs, My name is Francois Alarie, I am a returning customer and I don’t mind coming to twiggs because it’s a nice sit down environment, however the milk steaming techniques used here are hard to deal with. (Loud screeching sound) They’re very simple key steps to steaming any sort of milk with a traditional boiler system espresso machine, but twiggs fails to meet these simple steps. I would recommend to the owners/manager to take a deeper look into these milk steaming procedures as it would raise the quality of the espresso specialty drinks by a long shot. The internet has a wide variety of how to videos that teach these techniques and I would strongly suggest anyone who likes the specialty coffees here at twiggs to take a look for themselves. All in all the quality of the product that is being delivered does not reflect the price paid. I would also like to add that I was employed at the twiggs in Sudbury for a very short period of time (willingly) and I feel very strongly about everything I said above and decided not to focus my energy of trying to change this simple technique from within, but to help shed light for the paying costumers and the owners/managers from a transparent point of view. My only complaint would be that they run out of soup too fast. They even offer Milk-Bones for the puppy through the drive-thru. If you're in need of a good cup of coffee, thisi is your place! The Nitro Cold Brew is great. My favourite sandwich is the Italian sandwich with sweet mustard. They have Keto buns as well. The location on McKeown has a meeting room downstairs which you can reserve and they'll cater.

They offer a wide selection of primarily fresh food and drinks, they also have a liquor license for beer and wine. Staff are friendly and the multiple locations are convenient. Avoided this place for 2 years after a bad experience. Recently decided to start coming back again. Well the bakery items have always been great but breakfast still comes served with fruit flies. Staff are very rude and have almost no service skills. If they make your drink wrong, they'll send you to the back of the line to pay for a new one. Hella yikes.

I went to the new Twiggs location for lunch yesterday with my husband and my son. My husband and I ordered the crab salad on a toasted sesame seed bagel, our son ordered the smoked meat sandwich on a toasted sesame seed bagel, my husband also ordered an oreo cheesecake with a carrot/apple juice and I ordered a raspberry lemonade. We received the cheesecake right away and were told to grab a seat and they'd bring us the rest of our order. It took over 15-20 minutes to get our sandwiches so my husband ended up eating his cheesecake before our sandwiches arrived. Then we were able to all eat our sandwiches and still had not received our drinks. When I inquired twice about our drinks I was told they'll be ready in a few minutes. The second time I asked, the 3 young workers (1 guy and 2 girls) proceeded to talk about me in front of me and laugh at the situation. We received our drinks 15+ minutes after our sandwiches had been consumed. The service was terrible and the workers were very unprofessional. I went here yesterday morning before work and kindly let the lady know at the counter that the last time i had an cold brew i got a fruit fly in it. The lady at the counter gave big time attitude to me and looks at her co worker and says “do you want to come deal with this?” In a very rude manor and her co worker says “well it just means no one checked the cup fruit flys cant get in here”. I told them “ i wasnt expecting anything for free i was just letting you know” even though they should have given me it for free. Absolutely terrible customer service i will just back to going to tim hortons.

I love the food and the atmosphere here, but the prices drive me insane. Twice now I have ordered the salad, bagel, and coffee combo which is $6.29 before tax. Each time, I've been charged nearly ten dollars with tax. When I asked about this, I was told I wasn't the only person to complain, as they upped the price but didn't change their signs. This is unfair to the customer, and I hate feeling like I won't come back given how good the food is.

I go there quite often, it is a nice change from the big companies like Tim Horton's (which I go to quite often as well). I'd have to agree that their food there is delicious and most of their drinks are amazing, and the fact that the coffee is organic and roasted in house (although it does get a little Smokey and burn smelt in there sometimes) is a huge factor when I have the choice of where to go to get my coffee. I do have a few complaints. It often gets a little loud while trying to talk to the person you're there with. I'm aware that cafes get loud sometimes but it is a little tedious when you have a meeting that gets drowned out by everyone else. Next is as mentioned, the staff seems a little tense and not happy to have to deal with a lot of costumers. Whether that is due to management or having a bad day themselves I'm not sure, just makes you feel like walking on eggshells when ordering. Then comes the order themselves; I have gotten a few coffees that taste as if they don't have sugar in them. I stir it when I get where I'm going (whether that's to a seat or to work) and that sometimes works but then other times I have to put my own sugar in and stir it to make it work. And non coffee orders such as Capachillos are sometimes made differently depending on the person responsible for your drink. And then there's the lids... ???????? they don't stay on a third of the time, another third they spill everywhere when you're walking and then you're left with a sticky hand. I'm not saying that it is all bad.. in fact I wish more places served healthy food and organic beverages like Twiggs, I quite enjoy it other than the mentiond issues I have and I strongly recommend going there yourself to try their food and drinks and support a local small business. Have gone to this Twiggs twice now and both times the cheesecake was hard and stale tasting, the staff look stressed and a manager seemed annoyed when I asked for an extra fork. My drink was forgotten. My second time there was a bit better as the staff seemed friendlier but it seems like they all could use a break or they should hire more people. I much prefer the McKeown Twiggs as they have excellent service and great food and drinks.

You can go to this twiggs and get the same drink 5 times and never pay the same price. Not sure if they're not trained properly or some are less intelligent than others. Each drink tastes slightly different aswell. Also customer service is definitely not their strong suit.

I parked there briefly to go on a short pawn shop/Twiggs date with my girlfriend, only to be accused of breaking the law since we did not go into Twiggs right away. If they are that anal about people parking there then they should have signs outling it, like everywhere else in the city, instead of accusing potential customers. Won't be going there again that's for sure.

The food and pizzas are always tasting delicious and if you have dietary concerns -- I have never had them not be as accomdating as possible (allergy folks, you are typically out of luck as with most places but they do try) I dont think I have ever seen a guy working behind the counter but the girls are always nice and warm welcoming :) Their menu is extensive and if they dont got what you want but you know how to make it -- they will definitely give it a try if they got the ingredients!

I had never been to this chain before. Ordered a 2 egg Sunnyside breakfast with eggs and rye toast. Have to say the breakfast was a lot better then I anticipated. Cooked accordingly, bacon was pretty good too. A little greasy but cooked properly. Coffee wasn't bad either actually. I have to say though...the bagels they serve are very similar to Van Horn bagels in Montreal. Yum yum yum. Side topic: you need to try the bagels from Van Horn bagels if you never have.

I would expect servers that work with food/drinks to follow some sort of dress code. Reflects poorly on this location’s hygiene protocoles as well.
