Good restaurant. Somewhat pricey but that's to be expected post covid. No alcohol and our bill was 150 all in. I started with the baked brie and it was delicious. I had the steak and lobster on the stone. While the novelty was fun and interesting I don't think I'll do it again. I prefer my steak med rare with a proper rest and I struggled with that on the stone. Next time I will have them cook it for me. My hubby had the escargot for starters and they were good. Typical and cooked properly. He had the chicken fettuccine for dinner and didn't eat most of it. It was very over flavoured and powerful. To much for his liking. It got boxed and feed to the animals at home. Over all a 3 out of 5 but we would go back and try other menu items. Possible future update.

Went around noon and they have a quick service lunch menu that's standard fare. Steak on the sandwich was good, with a great bun! I'd give it 4.5 stars in any other city, but 5/5 for North Bay. I'll go back for sure.

This place is amazing. The food was excellent. I had the 10oz ribeye and loved it. The steak was super tender and well trimmed. They serve it on a hot stone so you can cook it as well or rate as you like. I got it with mushrooms, vegetables, and a baked potato. Definitely worth going again!

We went here for a birthday Party. I believe Lot 88 Steakhouse has delicious food, servers are very attentive, and super nice atmosphere. Plus you can cook your own steak. I would totally recommend it and will definitely come back again. The dessert menu was extremely satisfying to say the least.

My husband and I enjoyed our steak takeout meals from Lot 88 this evening. We were hesitant as we had never ordered takeout steaks before, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that they were perfectly cooked and tasted just as amazing as if we were dining at the restaurant. We also really enjoyed the peppercorn and red wine sauces, which came well packaged on the side. We can't wait to dine on their patio when they re-open. We also called because we had a question about our order, and both Roy and Andrea were extremely accommodating. We recommend ordering from them directly if you can. Thanks again Andrea and team!

New review: staff have become great everything perfect after an person drop in meal with 8 people. Food is still fantastic. Original review: Very nice layout great environment and easy on the eyes. Large screen tv if your at the bar but music was kept to background noise. TV's need to have the resolution fixed as they had a black frame around them (suggested that either the connection between the video wall was focing a lower resolution or aspect ratio) anyways food was great but our waitress had a slight undertones of alcohol on there breath which I found odd.

Wow! I almost didn't order this, I was nervous about cooking it on the stone. Peppercorn steak. Hand's down, best I've ever had. I don't know if I should compliment the chef, the butcher or me. Can the chef take credit for something I essentially cooked myself. Either way I'll return.

Sadly I am a little disappointed. We dressed up a great date night and I feel the service wasn't worth a $100+ meal. We've never been so I wasn't aware of what the 'plate' ment so when I ordered the steak and she didn't ask how I wanted it cooked I said I'd like it rare and she said you cook it yourself. I was expecting if that was a special item for them they would have asked 'have you been here before? No? Let me explain this to you' instead of being told I'm cooking my own steak for $37. Which is fine but explain how or something. Also, really wierd side of 'wedge iceburg' which is literally just them cutting lettuce in 4s and serving it with dressing. Is it supposed to be artistic? It felt lazy for a fancier restaurant. Also, I don't think the servers are trained as a higher class restaurant and she reached over many times to grab food, dropped 2 forks in 15 min and when we left we saw another fork under the table. There was no additional service like I've had at other similarly priced restaurants such as the waitress suggesting wines, a suggested dress code (4 students studying in sweats beside us) and bring seated in large weird chairs instead of a booth/more appropriate date seating after reserving ahead of time.

Fantastic customer service. I am visiting from the U.S. and have been there once with co-workers and ordered takeout today. The food is good and the variety is very good. The customer service is exceptional! I ordered the takeout order with skipthedishes, who messed up the delivery and I ended up with another customer's order and vice versa. When I called the restaurant they already knew about it from the other customer and they did not only give me what I had ordered earlier, but even apologized and gave me a full rack of ribs I stead of the half rack I ordered. In no way was Lot 88 responsible for this, but they fixed this without a question asked. Skipthedishes didn't even bother to speak to me and denied any responsability.Thank you Lot88 Team!

I love the hot stone steaks. It forces you to slow down and enjoy the company you are with. The Wonton nachos are light and delicious as an appetizer for the four of us. The steaks were seasoned just right to bring out the flavours of the steaks.

So bad. I rather go to the DQ beside it. The bugers are dry and cold. The fries were hot on the outside but freezing on the inside. Some were soggy and runny. The salmon was the only reason this place deserved some stars. The one this that was cool was the stone that they serve you on. The service was ok. I recomemd the fried calamari and the salmon. Good locale and pretty good food. I would say it’s a bit pricey for the selection. However what you are really paying for is the lava rock steak, which is a cool experience. Otherwise most of the food is pretty similar to a Moxies or Milestones.

The other reviewers were right, it does get loud in there. Food was ok tasty, but we left hungry. I had the Lot 88 salad, there were leaves heading towards slimy in it, and way too much arugula, it overpowered everything. The beets, if they were roasted, I couldn't see any evidence of it. They tasted kind of pickled to me. The steak was a super thin minute steak like piece so cooking it medium rare like I asked was impossible. It was rare. My man had the lamb and was still starving when we left. 90 dollars to still be hungry is not cool. Server was nice, even if she spoke a bit too fast. Warm towel after supper is a nice touch, but it didn't taste very good.

We came on a busy night that was booked up for days but they managed to fit us in anyways. The service was amazing, very friendly. The food was amazing! We got steak and it was cooked perfectly, the twice baked potato was delicious, and the lot 88 bbq sauce was nothing like I have ever tasted before. Best sauce hands down. We told them they need to sell it in a bottle. We will definitely be back whenever we go to North Bay.

Was greeted promptly when we entered the restaurant and seated very quickly. Once we were seated this is when things went downhill. Once we had been there a few minutes we started to time how long we were there. After 15 minutes not a single person had been out to talk to us or even acknowledge us. My wife and I saw 5 different servers look out of the glass to see us and not one decided to even acknowledge we were there. The last straw was when a server finally came out and walked right past our table to talk to the table past ours that came after us and apologize for the wait. This was the worst service my wife or I had ever had at a restaurant and I will never be back to this Lot 88 location nor will I recommend this location to any of my family that live in the area. I think the manager needs to look at the staff and train them in customer service. Seems that there is a lot of "not my section, not my problem"

Similar to the keg, however not quite on the same level. They do a good job with the stake and they bring a hot stone so you can cook the steak to your liking. It's a good idea, however the sides were steamed broccoli out of a bag with nothing on it a a pepper not even grilled.... With the Xtra time to have considering you cook your own steak you think they would put more effort into the sides to really make the meal come together. The chef uses cheddar cheese over the escargo which is way to sharp and over powering, as well as very greasey. The snail and mushroom were cooked well, just a bad choice of topping. Again over all its good food, just does no't have the taste or the extra effort you would expect from a higher end restaurant.

We had an excellent evening and was our first time at Lot 88. The staff were all amazing from Hostess to servers. The meal was perfect, aside from my filet could have been hotter but was perfectly cooked and so tender. We will back! Thank you for a memorable visit on my sister-in-laws birthday! You all made our day complete.

We tried lot 88 for the first time today. I had an awesome experience! Our server was very friendly, and helpful. We had the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. There were only 6 in the order but they were super tasty! As an entree I had the rib eye on the stone, which came with veggies and a side. I really enjoyed cutting and cooking the meat on the stone, and it was very tender! I have a bad jaw, so me saying i did not have trouble with the steak at all really is saying something. Not chewy like some other places. The loaded baked potato was also really yummy! We ended the meal with dessert- the chocolate lava cake! It came beautifully presented and tasted just as amazing. I would have shown a photo of the rest of the food but I was too busy eating it, my bad! Lol. Overall, it was a great experience and I cannot wait to go back!

North bay doesn’t have too many fine dinning restaurants but lot 88 is one of them. They have great professional servers and a variety of food. They have a cheaper lunch menu where you can get a great mean for a great price too. The decor is really high end and the patio is amazing. They have a few different seating options depending on what your preference is. I’ll definitively will be coming here again.

Seafood Fettuccine was the most disappointing dish of the night. It had no taste, very little shrimp, and the vegetables in the dish were almost raw. I thought it would have a variety of seafood but it only had shrimp and scallops. Mussels were good. Cake slice was miniscule. Large salad should have come with two dressing containers. Bread was good. Restaurant should have gluten free options. Overpriced for the quality of the dishes. Asked manager to call me and they never did.

Had a fillet mignon on the rock. Really cool way to serve meat! Also tried the fried mash potato spring roll and it was very good, kind of like a suedo baked potato with the spring roll wrapper acting as a crispy skin.
