Hands down my favorite sushi place in North Bay. JT Sushi is fast and consistent. I can order meals to go and it is always ready in 15 minutes or less. They accommodate different requests and always satisfy my sushi craving!

Used to be a great place to eat, however portions are always wrong (one order of grilled calamari should be 5 pieces often comes with 10-15) and they charge you for items which are not eaten. We received 3 items which we not ours, and didn't get 2 items we ordered. To say this was because the restaurant was busy would be a lie. 4pm on a Sunday and there were maybe 6 other tables at the time. When paying the server loudly said "No tip?!" Which caused me to turn around and go and retrieve the tip I had left on the table.

Since they opened, I have always been a fan of this sushi house. They offer a lovely variety of sushi and Asian dishes that hit the spot every time with taste, texture and friendly staff. As an all you can eat place, one would should not expect the finest quality and the sushi certainly isn’t from a master such as Juro, but rice is perfect and so is everything about what they create. The staff is always kind and friendly, pricing is fair. I would recommend this to anyone in the area who hasn’t tried it! I would only wish they brought back the Tom yum soup.

I search on google for nice pizza places in North Bay and i find J T Sushi listed as one of them, sad to see that there was no pizza on the menu while eating there. I AM DISGUSTED AT THE MENU AND WANT J T SUSHI TO BE YEETED INTO THE NEXT DIMENSION. Overall a really good time and would defiantly bring my baby for some nice pizza.

Honestly, we used to love this restaurant but lately have been hearing alot of negative feedback. Decided to give it a try ourselves and confirmed the difference in the quality of food, service and portions. Felt sick after eating here for about 24 hours and the vegetables were all borderline rotten. The sushi didn't stay together as it used to and the overall freshness was definitly lacking. Probably finding a new sushi resturant to kick the craving at.

I’ll be fair and honest. I don’t like to write negative reviews. If my review isn’t positive (5 stars) I try to provide as much context as possible. It’s our first sushi in North Bay and I’m comparing it with good sushi places in Toronto. I have no idea how this place ranks compared to other sushi places in North Bay. If this is North Bay level sushi, I’d avoid it. Didn’t feel fresh at all. They were truly skimping on everything, we had 3 shreds of ginger each, 3 adults (as per my order) for 80 pieces: 9 tiny shreds of pink ginger. Barely enough wasabi. Tons of soy sauce. Really skimped on salmon. The Tao chicken left much too be desired (not sushi but I ordered it). The machine that charged us didn’t have a “no tip” option, minimum was 10%. I’m doing a takeout. It’s ok, pandemic times, I’m ok to pay, but at least the guy could’ve smiled and put more ginger. They had put one set of chopsticks despite me having ordered for 3 adults. They added 2 more when I insisted. It’s not the worse sushi I’ve had (although I ate 45 minutes ago and o feel sick, hopefully nothing bad). But I’d avoid this place.

The food is high quality, and the presentation is beautiful. The prices is another story, it is cheap as cheap can be and you can order as much as you want.

For lunch, the prices are fair, and the selection is great. My favourites are the salmon maki rolls, the coconut chicken, and the beef udon. The restaurant has a lovely aesthetic and is kept very tidy by their friendly staff. You can expect the food to arrive fairly quickly, and for it to be fresh and delicious. Seriously? Try the coconut chicken. It's divine.

Drastically increased prices, $30 a person for dinner. Also the menu has been more than halved, they have all the basics of an AYCE sushi restaurant but nothing unique. The food came out on styrofoam plates. All in all, I've been to this restaurant since it opened, and recently came back to town, the quality of JT Sushi is nothing compared to what it was.

Amazing food and plenty of it (since it's all-you-can-eat). That said, service is a friendly mess; food orders keep on being forgotten, when asked they don't even know what's on the platter they're bringing, sometimes things arrive a literal hour later. But while annoying, all of that is not a problem and you can order new/the forgotten dishes at any time during the all-you-can-eat. And the actual food is amazing...so it is very easy to forgive that friendly confusing mess.

Good selection on the menu. If you don't like sushi there are other options (like noodles). I find the quality had improved since the last time I was here. If you want to try something unique I recommend trying the mackerel sashimi. I really enjoy the squid here and the eel sushi tastes the same as it did when I ate it in Japan - delicious! Good place to go with friends. Our server was friendly and funny. Expect to be here at least an hour. Service is moderately quick but more than likely you'll want a second round of food.

As they brought food out, there was no smiling.. only looked where to place food and quickly walked away. Our main waitress spoke VERY little English which complicated our order. Went here for my birthday, and was a bit disappointed they didnt give a discount for birthdays or other deals. Food was delicious, service good. Just be aware that the waiters dont speak English that well. Only staff member that did was the one that did the checks, which is understandable. Only complaint was that I found a hair in my food and that they charge for food you dont eat, which isnt like most buffets. Overall good experience.

Service speed and quality is what you expect from all All-you-can-eat sushi places. Sometimes they don't bring you one thing in you order and sometimes they bring you someone else's order, but I've never experienced anything different at any other all-you-can-eat sushi place.

We went last night (Saturday) around 7:00pm. Before we had our coats off the waiter asked us for our drinks which felt a little rushed. I ordered a pop and my girlfriend ordered a water which we did not get. We had to ask a second server after about 15 minutes for drinks. They brought me food I didn't order, they forgot an order of sushi my girlfriend ordered, the quality of the food is sub par and uninspired. The portions of chicken in my chicken udon were tiny, and the green onions were limp. The mango sushi sauce tasted like shampoo. The chicken balls and spring rolls were tiny, much smaller than the ones found at a traditional steam tray buffet. Things like seaweed salad, popcorn chicken, and coconut shrimp were good, but the sushi, chicken wings, and noodle dishes are lacking in taste and just felt thrown together. The food came out suspiciously fast which contributed to the feeling that it wasn't fresh. To be given a bill at the end for $63.00 left me feeling like I had over paid for a sub par experience. The atmosphere in the restaurant is one of uncaring. The television was stuck on the guide channel as if someone had put it on with the intention of finding a program the customers would like, and then abandoned it. The music was turned to a pop hits station which didn't set any kind of mood or contribute to the atmosphere. The staff were courteous enough but to watch them work they all looked like they would rather be anywhere else. No staff member checked in on us, no one asked us how we were or made any attempt at small talk. Simply put, our experience was a disappointment: the food was lack-luster, the quality was questionable, and the staff were disinterested. My girlfriend and I won't be returning to J.T Sushi, we would rather try somewhere different for a date night.

Enjoyed this buffet with my family. Very affordable prices. Descent menu. Though choices aren't as huge compare to bigger all you can eat places, for little town as North Bay this is pretty good actually. Some food was great, some was ok. Sushi actually was pretty good. I liked stir fry Udon with chicken and shrimps. I wish they'd had more choices for dumplings and potentially dimsam.

We seem to gravitate towards this restaurant whenever we have a group of people together to celebrate something. This particular evening was to commemorate my upcoming surgery. The only real issue that I have with this restaurant is the total lack of preparedness of the staff even with setting a reservation a week ahead of time. They have you order from a tablet, but for our group of 16 this evening, it was one tablet shared amongst us all. So when items were ordered, we had no idea who actually ordered it.

From out of town. Menus are displayed on iPads for ordering. No description options available when ordering rolls or 6-8 pieces of sushi @ a time. Asked the staff what was in one of the hand rolls. They didn't know. Walked away and didn't get an answer. Waited for another staff member to walk by so I could ask the same question again. They got us a paper menu. Paper menu and iPad menu don't have the same items. Paper menus don't have any vegetarian items clearly indicated by icons, etc. Long story short, not a well organized place. Food was sad looking and tasted the same. Not sure what we ate and doubt we'll ever find out.

I have had a lot of sushi from many places, and I have to say, I didn't expect much from this place when I first came here. They proved me wrong though! The service is lightning fast, I have rarely had my rolls or sushi break on me, the atmosphere is great, they play a variety of great music stations (unlike a certain other place in town), and the place seems very clean. The main draw for this place, and what makes me come here despite the drive downtown, is the expansive menu, so many items, it is great! Just a warning to other patrons however, do not let them seat you by the wooden partition on the right hand side, that is where they keep the cart where they dump the dirty plates. Good god the racket! So loud! Bang bang bang, crash! Ask to be seated elsewhere, or wait. It will destroy the atmosphere completely. Management, move that thing, or ask the servers to be quieter!

Delicious. One of my favorite all you can eat sushi places. They have a variety of different sushi, rolls, handrolls, tempera dishes, rice etc. You order on a tablet at your convenience and food is prepared quite quickly. Just a suggestion: as soon as u sit down order a small order. So that it gets there quickly (think of it as an appetizer). And while you wait for that to arrive order your main course. That way you have an order coming quickly and food coming in consistently. The only thing I was disappointed about is the small dessert menu. I wish they would expand it a little more considering how large their dinner menu is. Staff is kind, helpful and friendly.

Bought takeout and drove away. When I got down the road to eat, the ginger was discoloured and tasted of mould. I contacted them and was offered a refund if I came back, I was unable to do that so I let them know if be happy enough to send a photo to assist them to send to a distributor. They're first offer was to give me fresh ginger the next time I came, which should be a give-in, not a favour. After texting a staffer the photos, not expecting a refund, just acknowledgment that this was not right. I got the following text back, "Hi thank you for the pic , the manager is saying it’s just the wasabi colour . When it’s mixed with ginger, the colour changes . Thank you for the feedback though". This is not how someone should be treated.

Literally spent 50 minutes standing in their lobby being told "10 more minutes" on a pickup order. 3 hours later a delivery guy showed up to my door with the same order. I thought maybe they were trying to apologize with some extra food or something but they literally just put my order through again and wanted me to pay for it a second time. I have no idea what is going on at this place. Not gonna lie, the food is good.

Very average in terms of food, when compared to the other restaurants available in Toronto. The restaurant is lacking in some of the better rolls, such as the Spider Roll (with soft shell crab), and newer rolls, such as the Roasted Duck Roll (with roasted bbq duck). However, the reason I've decided on a 2 star is because of the service: the staff, from my 14 trips to there, are generally quick but really discourage any of my friends and I from ordering anything they deem "expensive", such as the surf shell clam sashimi, and we don't even order that much. In comparison, none of the other sushi buffet restaurants (e.g. Toronto or Sudbury) have ever made me feel this way - like I'm a nuisance. I'm very unlikely to come back, but since it's the only one in North Bay, I may come back if forced by my friends. Definitely not the atmosphere I appreciate. Personally, would not recommend, unless you're okay with mediocrity.

My friend and I have eaten here a few times and we really enjoy the food. However, I think it is ridiculous that they charge extra if you do not finish everything. We ordered this eel sushi and it was horrible, so we didn't eat it. At the end of our meal, the waitress saw the leftover sushi and said we would have to pay extra for it since it is a waste. We told her that we would just eat the sushi and she left. We then proceeded to stuff it in our mouths and go to the bathroom to spit it in the toilet. It is unfortunate that this is what you have to do in order to avoid paying extra. In my opinion, I should not have been forced to either eat something I do not like or pay extra for it. It's not like I had a whole meals worth of food leftover, it was just a few pieces of sushi. Other than that, I really do enjoy this restaurant.

Absolutely disgusting, all of the rolls I ordered were made with canned fish. When I asked the server if it was fresh or not, she just said I don't know and walked away. I asked multiple people if it was canned and they assured me it was. You can clearly tell that dry, flakey, brown salmon isn't fresh.

Didn't get to try ayce/dine in so this review is solely on takeout. The sushi is fresh and the filling is good ratio. I gave it a 4star because I've also ordered dishes like ribs and pad thai. The pad thai tasted bad and it didn't have the peanut garnish. I recommend you only stick with sushi when doing takeout.

The reviews were right – don’t go here. As soon as we walked into the restaurant it reeked strongly of BO (should have been my first clue). The place was almost too dirty to eat in and should be should be shut down. The sushi was also full of the cheapest sushi ingredients you can imagine – barely ‘passable’ for Sushi. I’m betting even money I have food poisoning from this later tonight. If there was any other restaurant open in this town we would’ve gone there-should’ve skipped dinner tonight.

I’ve been to many sushi places and this is the best sushi place in north bay. The variety is limited to your basic standard rolls. The service is always good however I feel they start bringing out the food slowly after the first or second round of ordering. The prices are in line for a standard sushi buffet.

Despite a packed place, our food came quick and hot! Our unannounced party of 9 (not my fault really!) watched in amazement as 4 staff removed a divider and made a long table for us. Every time I go here, I find the staff friendlier, the food tastier, and my tip larger. Highly recommended... Oh and fight through the pain... Go for the fried Hanna with green tea ice cream!
