Burger World is a well oiled machine. Good food, good service, and affordable prices. Next time you're there pay attention to the kitchen staff for a few minutes. Great communication and teamwork going on back there. As someone who worked as a cook in his youth, I always appreciate a well run kitchen. The servers are friendly and efficient, the food is always fast and hot, and portions are more than generous. Lots of different options on the menu, and there are always a few different specials up for lunch and dinner. The closest thing to having a problem with Burger World is that the parking lot is rather small and they are always full, so sometimes parking is a bit of an issue.

A welcome change from the generic, tasteless burger chains. With so many kinds of burgers and options of meat, bread and sides, you'll need some time to decide. Food is a few dollars more than the chains, and made to order so you'll have to wait a bit longer before they bring your food to your table. Definitely worth a try.

Great little place! Stopped in off the highway on a long roadtrip. Had an awesome omelet and homefries. Cooks were super accommodating and friendly.... all of the staff I interacted with were great actually. Huge portions! Couldnt finish even half of it. Lol. My friend had a burger... had heard lots of good things.. he is picky.. and was NOT disappointed at all. Said he would def be back too. :)

I was very surprised by this place. I myself have a picky diet (No Meat) and a burger was the last thing on my mind. Went there because the options were limited in the area and I then realized they had a Fish (Haddock) Burger. The Haddock was wonderful, along with their Sweet Potato Fries. Prices are also wonderful. Why on earth would anyone go to fast food chain when they could just go to Burger World for the same price as get better QUALITY food. I'm very glad I took a risk and walked into Burger World????

Every time I'm in North Bay I make a stop at Burger World. The staff know their menu and can handle allergies like mine, very friendly, and great food. I will say the milkshakes have been known to cause food comas in my party, which is great for me because they'll also through the next leg of the road trip :)

Cashier asked a customer to put her mask on and the customer refused saying she is exempt with nothing to back it up. Cashier said she could not serve her. I think she did the right thing. The cashiers manager stepped in and told her to serve the customer anyway. The cashier looked confused as this goes against the Ontario mandate. This manager put his employees and other customers at risk just for the sale.

A little overrated in my opinion. Delivery cost is ridiculous as they use an external service (8.50 regardless of location), owners are known to mistreat their employees and overall atmosphere is usually cluttered and busy. Popular among the older folk, but I would recommend Ivan's if you can make the haul.

Really fancied a burger on my trip to north bay. Based on all the reviews I went in with high expectations. Upon walking in I found the restaurant to seat a lot of people and given how busy it gets was very clean overall. However the burger was unfortunately dry and didn’t have much taste. The fries were good as was the milkshake however I expected more given the name of the restaurant. Wouldn’t go back.

Not out of this world good but way better than well-known fast food restaurants. -Burgers are good (Obviously!) -Wrap was ordinary (Subway level) -Poutine was good for an Ontario one -Milkshake was good but could be better (taste was a bit bland) -Smells hell-a good in and around the place (As in housemade food) -Prices are fine for the amount of food you get -Service is normally good Will definitively come back.

We stopped in for our very first sitdown Brunch after our camping trip at Samuel Champlain Provincial Park. There was a 15 minutes wait. Service was brisk and efficient. My husband ordered their Breakfast Special, with a generous serving of back bacon, 2 eggs, home-cut fries with saute onions, their baked beans and buttered toasts. He loved it! My son and I had their suggested Voodoo Burger, topped with a slice of processed cheese, three onion rings and a dollop of whiskey flavored BBQ sauce. It was okay. Maybe a different selection next time around. Although, their very generous serving of crispy french-fries with gravy was excellent! Their pricing was very affordable! We left them a very good tip. .

We were finishing a long drive from Thunder Bay and still had 4 hours of travel ahead of us. Looking for a quick bite in North Bay. Oh wow! Saw the other reviews and thought we'd try it out. One of the best meals we had on our 4 week road trip. Both burger and fries were superb. Service was very quick in spite of being full and the staff were so friendly and helpful. A quick exit from the highway and you are there. Don't even think of going to McD's, A&W, Wendy' s etc. Not even close.

Burgers were okay but not great, especially considering it is called Burger World. Poutine was also mediocre. However my wife's breakfast (grand slam) looked (and apparently tasted) awesome, and my daughter's chicken wrap and Caesar salad was really good and seemed to be very fresh. Probably won't go back, but if I did I would choose a breakfast meal over a burger.

This place offers a wide variety of food at reasonable prices. However, the experience as below satisfactory in that it took quite some time to be served while observing that the place wasn't particularly busy. The server also expressed feeling that she was working harder than she would have liked to that day while remaining quite disengaged. Overall, it is reasonable to believe that both she and the business were having a down day, it was unfortunate to experience it as a client. I would return there to try their food again.

Probably the most traditional local restaurant in town. They have a wide menu but are known for their burger specials and all day breakfast. They have a wide range of drink options and I recommend their bottomless coffee, strawberry milkshake or local beers because they are a licensed establishment. You can't go wrong with consistent food taste, no frills fast service, and great value.

I would normally rate this place 5 stars but I was very disappointed that during covid, only the waitresses were wearing masks. THE COOKS WERE NOT WEARING MASKS!!! All I could think of were the possible droplets of saliva that would get expelled from their mouths onto the food while they were joking and laughing with each other WHILE handling the food. We are all wearing masks to prevent droplets to contaminate surfaces and protect others. The cooks are also to wear masks! I will not be eating at Burger World until the cooks also wear masks! Other than that, always great service and great food.

Even the take out utensil package was top notch - hand wrapped in a baggie (doubles as a convenient trash holder), fork, knife, vinegar, salt, pepper, and two ketchups. Absolutely would go back.

Found it by accident, ended up eating there for four consecutive days in an attempt to order all items off the menu. Failed, because there were always daily specials to order, and did not continue for the fifth day as I had to leave the area, but unhappy because no burger will ever taste as good, and it will be a long time before I can return, so I will end up thinking about their burgers every time I have to put other lesser burgers in my mouth. I placed a very large order here on a Friday for delivery. On the phone, we were told that because the restaurant was busy, it would take longer than normal to deliver our food. As we had not eaten there before, I placed the following assumption based on my experiences with other restaurants: it would take an hour or so for our food to be delivered. Although we were very hungry, we agreed. Within 25 minutes, we had received a phone call telling us that the delivery guy was waiting for us. They had our order ready so quickly and I was immensely impressed! If that is how fast they are on a busy night, I can't imagine how quick they would be on a slow one! Because we had requested something be left out of our dish due to allergies, they even called us back before making/delivering our food to verify that the information was correct. I was very pleased with this establishment. My only negative comment is that the pickerel my boyfriend ordered wasn't properly de-boned. Overall, we did have an amazing experience.

If this place had not been recommended to me I doubt I'd have ever ventured in. Well, am I ever glad I did. Despite the rather dated look and what might even be called shabby interior I experienced exceptionally good and friendly service with good quality food. Not fine dining but tasty satisfying food. Not just burgers . . . They need a new name. I liken it to a diner / family restaurant / truck stop - without the trucks (unless you count pick ups). I will return.

The place itself, servers, and service are all fine (aside from the lack of fountain drinks). My issue was with the food: my burger was overcooked and it was obvious that the person who assembled it didn't care, as only half the burger had toppings. Two poor experiences in a row. First visit, one of the sandwiches completely wrong and the chicken taco salad was tasteless and uninspired - pretty much just iceburg lettuce without any dressing. On our 2nd visit, we placed a pick up order - specifically refusing the combo plates. When we opened the bag they included the fries we refused TWICE and charged us for them. Also, one of the burgers had the wrong toppings. The food is fine but the staff are not careful. They are friendly, but not careful. It's unlikely I'll go back but others in our group may due to the convenience and varied menu.. One more thing - 4oz for a burger is a bit small, no?

I drove to burgerworld from mattawa today and was very mad to find out the doors were locked up. It was my girlfriends birthday and we were planning this for a while. We showed up at 830 to find out that the doors were locked and I was able to see 2 staff member in the kitchen laughing and when I tried to get there attention they disappeared to the back of the kitchen. This realy did make us very upset. Not only did the website say 9pm but the doors did as well. I'm hoping for rectification for this huge mess up from your location.

Pretty good hamburgers for their price. It's standard in price and taste, so there isn't much to say about it. I'll probably come back eventually.

Paid $12 for 2 eggs, 2 breakfast sausages, and 2 slices of tomato. Should have just ordered a regular breakfast ($7.39) and left the homefries and substituted the toast for the tomato). No complaints about the food though.

The worst service I have ever received, our waitress was too busy hanging out with her friends than serving her customers. We saw her 4 times in total, to take our drink and food order all in one, drop our drinks on our table (2 cans and 2 cups that she brought pressed against her body, deliver our food and 8 minutes after completion of eating and while she was talking to her friends looked at me 3 times and walked the other way. The food was completely tasteless and that is saying a lot for fish and chip with gravy, my fish was so over cooked I had to take the batter off it, it was so hard and greasy. This was it my second time in this restaurant but my first experience was no better and it took me 5 years to give it another chance, NEVER AGAIN!

This little place is amazing. With the name Burger World you expect just that, a burger place. This is a family owned and run restaurant with a very extensive menu. They are licensed and have all day breakfast to a steak dinner and everything in between. It is a very casual atmosphere with most people being greeted by name at the door. It is fairly inexpensive and portions are very generous. This was my first time eating here but I will definitely be back. I 100% recommend this little gem in North Bay, Ontario.

So guilty as charged.....a few times per week my wife & I go for breakfast/brunch at Burger World here in North Bay. Once and awhile I get lucky and they have their amazing Pea Soup on the menu. It is so good I asked them to text me when it's available. They put a post-it note up behind the counter and I got a text today.....come pick up your two bowls of soup "Pea Soup Man".....lmao.

One of my favorite places to stop when in town. Always clean, fast, and friendly service. The food is great and the prices are really good. They serve general diner food such as fish and chips, poutine, Potatoe skins, hot dogs, chicken strips and burgers. However they do offer some other great dinner items also such as hot roast beef, steak, liver and onions. Hope you find them as great as I do on your visit!

Given the name of the place my expectations were fairly high of a good burger .. not so ..I had the 3/4 pound (I was Hungry) cheese burger etc .. when I got it it consisted of 3 burger patties which I have to assume were frozen (they say they are not) they were the typical tasteless variety...toppings were good ..burger(s) were not and 14 bux for the combo .. id rather have a Big Mac. I have been to burger places where the burgers are thick and tasteful..maybe BW should rethink their burger suppliers . That all said, the staff were really great and very helpful .. thus the 2 stars..

This is my favourite go to diner in the weekend. A decent selection of the standard faire. Every week has a special which gives a better variety. Fast service and is usually pretty clean. I usually get the eggs Benedict or the grand slam. The price is pretty fair for what ya get. I'd recommend getting your hashbrowns deep fried, with onions and seasoning!

My first time at Burger World. The place was clean and the food was good. Our waitress was very good. I thought this was basically a burger place but it's more like a diner. They serve much more than just burgers and fries. I had a bacon cheese burger with poutine and it was good. I will return again.
