Decided to swing by The Pie Plate this weekend to try their pies and food because everything looks so good on their Instagram account. When I arrived, it felt like there was no order. Everyone was standing all over the place and the staff didn’t do much triaging of the line, but I figured they were busy. Spent 15mins waiting in line to order. When I finally ordered (western bagel and the smoked salmon bagel) it literally took another 15 mins to get the order. Shocked by how slow their service was - also the customer service seemed to be lacking, the staff did not look happy whatsoever. I purchased two Fresh Peach Tarts home for dessert which were delicious. Not sure if the price and the time spent waiting was worth it though ..

A lovely spot to stop for lunch. It was friendly, inviting, and had delicious food. I was a bit disappointed by the baked goods we took to eat during our car ride home as they were quite dry, but we didn't try any pie. I would definitely go back when I'm in Niagara-on-the-Lake next.

This review is solely based on their pies as I haven’t dined here for a few years. I absolutely love their pie crust, very flakey! And their fruit pie fillings are filled with flavour. Highly recommend lemon meringue and cherry

Have been buying pies there for a few years now and notice they increased the amount of crust and decreased the amount of filling...not happy at all especially when prices went from 19 to 26 dollars...Will find a new place to buy my pies.

We were in the Niagara region for a few days and decided an afternoon treat would hit the spot. We ordered a cheese scone and a pecan butter tart with coffee. Honestly the scone could be much better, not moist at all and dry. The pecan tart was not up to even normal standards. All crust not good texture and maybe a teaspoon of filling. I was very disappointed! There was a huge gap between my experience vs the online rating.

This is a decent little place to grab a quick bite - Sandwiches, Salads, Thin Crust Pizzas, Tacos, and Savoury Pies. Or something sweet to go along with a cup of tea or coffee. ????️The Positive: The quality of the food is quite good. And the service is very friendly and attentive. ✔They utilize fresh seasonal Niagara Produce, so be sure to try out their Peach and Grape pies. They also bake their own breads for their sandwiches which is an added plus. ????️The Negative: The Price. One Pear and Brie Sandwich (no side) costs $16. Now I don't know their overhead costs, or if perhaps it's (prices) to compensate for the slower winter months. However I do know food prices are generally high in Niagara-on-the-Lake and in Ontario in general. I did enjoy the food, however it's my duty to give you a heads-up on the pricing. It's worth a visit, so give it a try when you're in the area.

Happened upon this place on my bike. Stopped for a coffee but they didn’t have Apple Pay available. They gave me a free coffee anyway! The coffee was fabulous and I enjoyed it sitting comfortably on a sofa under a shade tree to boot. Went back a few days later to buy some delicious pastries for a gathering at home. We all raved about the strawberry/rhubarb crumble!!
