You will be able to see the feddbacks of real people like you who used the services of Sono's Cafe (Coffee Shop) around Niagara-on-the-Lake territory (Canada).
At the moment the firm receives a score of 4.1 out of 5 and the score was based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, it has an average rating is good, and it is founded on a large number of opinions, so we may be pretty sure that the score is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they are satisfied, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to write scores when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

The best Sono around! Great breakfasts and fair price!

Breakfast
You get what you pay for! 3$ breakfast. Very basic. Not healthy. Small portions. Cute atmosphere. Good for a quick, cheap bite
Delicious food! Great prices too!!!
Washroom is a nightmare. The staff is friendly and the food is fast, hot and and excellent value.
Girl with the glasses was nice. Rest of the service was not very friendly. Food is cheap but you pay for what you get. I had maybe 5 homefries on the biggest meal possible, and coffee is not bottomless
A great place with great food and friendly service
Buddy I was working with suggested that this is a good restaurant so I came the following day with katelynn, I got felafel she got fish and chips my felafel was absolutely delicious dripped all over my leg, love that!
Many signs indicating authentic gyros, but turns out they were prepackaged slices heated on a grill.
Good breakfast and service. Nice atmosphere.
Nothing fancy as far as decor or comfort; order at the counter and they bring the food out. But the staff are super friendly, prices are great, and whoever works the kitchen can really cook a breakfast! Eggs, bacon, bangers and the coffee - all delicious. If you’re looking for a quick, good, inexpensive breakfast or lunch in Virgil - give it a try and you may be as surprised as we were.
Nice place, fresh food, friendly service :)
One of my favorite breakfast places. A good throw back to a simpler time. The food is uncomplicated and reasonably priced. Family operated with very quick service.
Nice place
I paid 8.99 for a plate and barely got a quarter plate of hashbrowns. Literally no service beyond the time when they took our money and an employee sat for the entire 45minutes we were there talking to friends swearing and cursing. Really will not return.
Good old atmosphere! !!!
Great place for a diner very inexpensive food, friendly people, good food
Cant beat the price for the breakfast specials. Got a few pastries which were great for the long road back to PA. Friendly staff and conveniently centrally located in wine country. Place across the street was good too( went to both on separate days). Definitely not a tourist trap and you can tell both places are family owned. Seems like they got a little friendly competition going too. All in all, my wife and i really enjoyed them.
Service
Hands down the best breakfast I've come across in a long time. Staff is always friendly service is fast & never wait long for my food. It smells delicious like when you walk in like bacon & eggs when i go, (everyday).
Breakfast

Brunch
This is the absolute best place to get a burger in the Niagara region. The owners and staff here are so great. Just visited again today with my grandmother in law and as always, the food was delicious! Don’t skip on the fries, they’re so good and crispy. If I was ever on death row, I swear to god this would be my last meal LOL. Love this place.
Good breakfast, reasonably priced and friendly staff
Best brain Virgil! Great place!
Great family owned diner. Fresh food, lovely service. Even better... Not a chain, but a Mom and Pop shop!
The roast beef sandwich was totally inedible. Too salty. The sandwich bread was stale. The fish and chip was greasy and dry. Service: no one cares. Stay away or go across the street.
very disappointing. For starters their sign says 3.99 for two egg breakfast ... so I got two and a side of homefries(2.50$) the home fries came with maybe 10 small potatoes... my 18 month old was still hungry as normally anywhere we go a side orders just right for him. I called because my order was 20$? So I said there’s no way. When phoning he said oh well for starters each meal is 4.99 .. while his sign obviously needs to be clearly updated it’s false advertising. Than he said each meal you take out is an extra 1.50$ yet we’re during a pandemic I’m not even aloud to go In . I’m beyond disgusted that I was 3$ extra to take out when that’s my only option . Won’t be going back
Good breakfast
Friendly staff, delicious food, great prices, and FAST service!! Can't go wrong.
Good food at a decent price and friendly staff
The manager/owner was unfriendly and didn't seem to approve of tourists. Food was just ok.
best donair going. This place is SUPER CLEAN!! and staff is really friendly. really great cafe and diner. will be back for sure!
Clean bathroom, no decaf, stale doughnut. Good social distancing measures. Food was served by staff member with dirty fingernails. No idea where 4 star + rating comes from.
We randomly came here during Christmas day coz everything else was closed. Food and service didn’t disappoint. Amazing service, super fast and good homey food.
Great food, excellent service and awesome coffee. It's nice to dine at a family run restaurant. The service is fast so it's a good place to pop in on your way by.
Great food at reasonable prices. Love the decor. Friendly staff too.
Very good prices for the portion sizes you get! I have been here many times and I am never disappointed. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food at a great price.
Excellent food and great, quick service.
Old time diner atmosphere A very quaint feel to this casual restaurant. I attend at least once a week for my donair and breakfast. Food is great, service good and price quality and portions awesome. Would recommend to anyone for a quick meal.
Terrible service, small portions and filthy. Very rude service from the start, thought about cancelling my order, but I’m all about supporting small businesses, so I stayed, hoping they would redeem themselves. They Gave us undercooked pancakes (like bits of raw dough!)and burnt toast. When we politely complained, they rudely took it away and slammed down new pancakes. No apologies, nothing (and the place was pretty empty ). Being from Toronto I’m used to bad service, but this was just crazy.
Service
Went here a few years ago on a road trip with friends. Definitely felt like it had a little bit of a weird vibe, but the food was decent and we had a good time
Clean, quick and affordable! Good fries!
Classic dinner, you get what you pay for, it's a nice stop to have something quick and easy to eat
My food was good but my boyfriend was disappointed with his eggs bennie.
I HATED THIS THE FOOD TASTED LIKE SOAP AND IT WAS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!
Good service, good burger, great fries
Decent fare. They do advertise a $2.99 breakfast but coffee or tea is separate. Place is clean and staff are friendly. I think it is a family run business.
Chef made me a blueberry pancake on special request.
Its now 3.99 for a basic breakfast..very fast..very clean breakfast and great homade pastries.
OPEN UNTILL 3 PM !! NEW MENUE.. delicious!! Sono's Cafe previously known as Donut Diner has increased untill 3 pm LOVE the food. Breakfast. And LOVE the coffee. The manager and his wife are very careful at following the strict hygienic protocol related to COVID-19.
Great value for the money
Loved this spot great location thumbs up in service and food.

Great breakfast, coffee and donuts. Well worth the visit
Food was EXCELLENT friendly service. Clean Environment... very organized and very ACCESSIBLE For the DISABLED and or elderly. Don't get me wrong this is an all age cafe with lots of yummy food to experience. Like breakfast is 3.99 for 2 eggs your way homefries and toast and your choice of ham bacon or sausage. They give generous amount of food and made exactly the way you order. A relaxing family atmosphere. Bravo !!!

Really called Donut Diner. Love the food and atmosphere.
Such a cool place to get real food at real prices, not the inflated hike of nearby tourist attractions.... Milkshakes are awesome. Mega friendly staff as well.
love the breakfast- very nice staff
Breakfast
Great food and great service.
Where else can you get a breakfast for $3.99 ! Love it !
Very good . Great prices. Coffee is excellent. Better than the hotel we were staying at. Typical diner atmosphere

Great service.. Good food.. Good size and value.
Love this place, Support Niagara... Support Small Business
Excellent breakfast
Good little diner, with good food for a reasonable price. Great Donaires, as rated by my expert wife.
Ok Listen up. You Losers who think you can say terrible things about the cleanest restaurants that you will ever walk into, Hate to see most of your homes,, Stop!!! Trying to destroy a business because you feel this is what you need to do,Your Losers.. The staff is friendly and serve the food with precession. The food is the best that you will ever receive anywhere. In Fact we stopped yesterday ordered two cheeseburgers and fries, The fries were the best I ever had, Hot and crispy,The burger wow.. This was a great meal,, We stop by here every chance we can..You people need to know, that these donuts are made fresh everyday,Maybe go up the road and grab one from Tim Hortons,, Maybe just stay there,Your useless reviews will be laughed at.. I for one will never go anyplace else for a meal. the drive through window is perfect,, This is the place to go,, Now LOSERS TAKE A BITE OUT OF THIS,,
You must pay for your food before you get it served very strange also very expensive breakfast for the quality
Great family owned restaurant. Fast and efficient service. Breakfast and Coffee were really good!
Dine in
Better when it was called the donut diner and run by the old owner. This new owner is not it, strange set up of store. Pay before eating? staff are un-friendly and it just looks dirty in there.
Old fashioned diner. Food is cooked to order. Fresh. Good size meals. Very reasonably priced. We had two orders of two eggs over easy, hash browns, toast and tea for $15.00!
The "Shwarma" was terrible. Not even close to what a Shawarma is. First thing they don't have hummus which is common with this Lebanese dish. Second the chicken was just frozen chicken warmed up that had no flavour and the sauces on it tasted like some kraft salad dressing. Best to just say chicken wrap and not Shwarma because you missed the point with the wrap you sell. Not worth the $7 bucks only had 5 small pieces of chicken in it anyways just lots of gross lettuce and cheap dressing.
Cheap and cheerful! Excellent choice for a quick bite in the diner-style decor!
Basic breakfast but the quality was good as was the price.
I live and work in Virgil and this place is my go to..
It's my understanding that this place and the one across the street are in a bit of competition with one another, and I gotta tell you, it's a close match. Sono's is exactly what you'd think it is from the outside-- a small cafe that looks halfway between a Steak 'n' Shake and a Waffle House. The food was good, especially for the price, and it was nice to be able to just take my food and sit. Only complaint was the coffee, which is TERRIBLE. It's burnt, weak, and lacking in everything that makes coffee better than time spent with loved ones. Still, that was the only thing I didn't enjoy. This place hit the bar on every other level. Solid 4.
Used be be the Donut Diner. A big Breakfast is under 5 bucks! They have ice cream and gyros!
Stopped in for a quick lunch, gyro, donair, fries and onion rings. Super friendly staff, great prices and we barely sat down before the food was at our table! Perfectly cooked, crispy fries and onion rings, homemade sauce for the donair an gyro in a cute retro diner. Definitely stop here!
Nothing to give this place credit for. Place smells a bit funky walking into it. To me its the smell of the place not being cleaned properly period. Ordering process was painful, especially as I was the only customer in the place and who can't put bacon inside an omelette. They flat out refused like I was putting them out. Food came and nothing but the toast tasted right. Definitely was not feta that I asked for in my omelette. Realistically feta is not really supposed to melt like cheddar or mozzarella. Something was off with the bottle of Franks Redhot too. Not sure that it was changed out post-lockdown.....the first one I mean. Last thing, who has a drive thru diner? They open a side door and huck some food out at the cars pulling up like a McDonald's. Weirdest thing and didn't fit what should be a traditional sit down diner. I don't know who is giving these rave reviews but I know this place can't recover from the disaster that was my experience. I doubt most of their problems were due to COVID and they existed long before I showed up.

Loved this place. Has the "mom & pop" diner feeling. They had great breakfast, the employees were so friendly and kind to us.
Excellent place to have a really good, old fashion breakfast. Prices are amazingly affordable, don’t miss it if coming to Niagara Town.
Great food. Excellent service.
This was a really pleasant surprise. After so many 20 dollar sandwiches this week, it was nice to have a filling and quite tasty 6.99 gyro. Coffee was good and black. Worth checking out if you want some old school diner in your life. Ambience is awesome too...
Been getting their Eggers for years . Thousand times better than anything local in the area, and a billion times better than McDonalds and Tim's breakfasts. Coffee is the best as well. Nice, pure and not watered down. Been eating their donairs the most but i recently ate their burger, it was nice, filling and delish. Highly recommend. Hidden Gem
good food. good prices, weird set up
Quick and cheap food. Tasty breakfast. Portions smaller but relative to the price
Friendly service but coffee is watery and shawarma was bad...there was not even tabouleh in it. For the price, I guess you may be willing to overlook that the place needs a major makeover.
We went in because they were open early and had sign for $.99 breakfast special in window. We were told sign is wrong and they are waiting for number to be delivered. Then came argument you can’t get anything for a dollar, etc etc etc. if they weren’t so belittling we may have stayed. Went across the road.
Good food and great service
Great food, great people
Wife and I made spontaneous decision for breakfast while passing Virgil... no regrets.
Great service. Excellent food
Service

Good food and the price right...
Amazing breakfast spot, price was very good compared to other places. Food was great along with costumer service. Definitely recommend others to try while travelling around the area.
