Loved this cozy cafe. Hilarious menu names with many vegetarian options! I got the Flattery Gets You Everywhere and it was delicious, I would highly recommend. My friend got the Kale-ing Me Softly and enjoyed it. I also got a latte, they have milk alternatives: soy, oat and almond (I think). If you are looking for a cool breakfast or lunch place, come here! There is a little reading corner too if you are waiting out the storm.

Was here last Saturday for the first time with our family, which was late for our reservation but you all were gems about it. The food was some of the best tasting and best cooked I've had in all of Newfoundland. I cannot wait to come back and even Jeremy Charles who was a table over was wowing over it.

Great cafe! Really great atmosphere and dividers for COVID-19. Great coffee, and great to have no extra charge for alternative milks. The food and baked goods are delicious. SO GOOD! Quality and decor remind me of any cafe you would find in Australia or New Zealand. Did I mention it was great.

We spent three nights on the island and had five meals here. That's how freaking good this place is. Amazing menu with options and accommodations for my dietary restrictions (vegetarian). My favorites were the creatively named "Kale-ing me softly", "can't beet it", and "flattery gets you everywhere". I also recommend trying the tacos and cole slaw. My husband says the Mac & cheese is a 3/5 at best, but I enjoyed it. The customer service here is excellent as well. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Fogo and wish they would open up one in Portland, Oregon!

Bangbelly Cafe is one of the best cafe's in all of Newfoundland. Now my girlfriend and I haven't been to every cafe in Newfoundland, but we've been to our fair share of good ones. Bangbelly stands out by going above and beyond with the quality of their food and coffee. The ambiance is excellent, too. Hats off to the chefs and baristas making the magic behind the counter. MUST TRY: Their bangbelly breads. Yum! My only complaint: That I didn't buy enough bangbellies for the rest of our trip.

The food here is amazing! I ate here twice in 3 days. The fish and chips were so good that I had it twice and I live in St. John’s which has the best fish and chips in the world imho - this fee and chee stacks up well. The salads, beer and garlic fingers are also top class. Staff are awesome. Highly, highly recommend.

Great food, very accommodating to my dietary needs (dairy-free). We went back twice during our stay on Fogo Island. We enjoyed the beer braised moose with smoked cod nachos, the cod sandwich, the local egg omelet, the NL burger, and soup. Check it out!

Bright, clean restaurant, tasty and very filling meals. In these pandemic times, the tables felt well spaced out and the translucent partitions between contributed to the feeling of safety and comfort without making you feel like you were dining alone. We'll definitely be back to try more from the menu.

The loveliest dining experience! Had the braised beef sandwich special with nacho fries. The sandwich was delicious, with an amazing homemade pretzel bun. The fries were crispy and tasty with all the toppings. The espresso and red velvet Nanaimo were also fantastic. Lovely atmosphere, decor, and music . On top of the delicious food the service was even better, Sandy was very personable and friendly, he even checked to make sure we made it off the island okay when there were talks of a ferry strike.

What a wonderful experience! The quality of the food is very impressive for the area. The atmosphere of the space is very chic and modern feeling. Vegan options are available! Caitlyn and Ian were very accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend stopping in! On a side note, peak hours are typically very busy so expect a short wait during lunch/dinner hours.

This is the best restaurant in Fogo!! The food is amazing, with a little touch of attention on each part of each meal. I went there for both dinner and lunch (on my only two days trip in Fogo) and I looooved every meals. They also give greath importance to avoid using plastic and to reuse as much as possible. The service was also really great, as well as the ambiance. I would definitely go back!

What a meal! What wonderful service. I was so happy to support this business. The owner came out and talked to us. Not many Newfoundlanders understand they are part of the attraction, but she did. Stunning meal of fishcakes burgers and shrimp soup with coconut milk and cilantro. Chef was sous chef at Fogo Island Inn. Bustling trade of takeout pizza. Wish I could eat here again soon. I love how they separated diners with corrugated plastic. So creative. We also loved the retro dining tables and dishes. Seemed clean as a whistle. Support a young local owner and enjoy a super tasty meal.

Honestly the best food we had in Newfoundland. Tried dinner one day and lunch the next - small menu with everything on it crafted with fine attention to detail. Small but great array of craft drink options and incredible coffee, in addition to friendly service. I can not recommend this restaurant enough.

Food on our Newfoundland trip has been so-so, so when I saw the 4.9 star review, I was sceptical. I was wrong. Best meal we have had in Newfoundland in the past 7 days. I had the Codfather sandwich, my daughter had the IceBurger. Both were excellent! Great view of the bay as well. Well done!

Went to Fogo island for a day trip and stopped into this cafe and was very impressed the food was delicious and well worth the trip and the customer service was phenomenal! Then as we left we noticed they had desserts on display so we took some for the road and it was mouthwatering good! Would highly recommend an I hope to visit again soon!
