This Coffee Shop is classified in the category of Cafe.
Wife had a regular coffee which was Luke warm and quite sour. She only drank about a third before giving up. I had a latte which was ok, but there was too much milk. Was hoping to have something to eat but there was only a single chocolate croissant a new some cookies. They were sold out of a couple sandwich choices, but the selection was not really to our liking. The seats were a little wobbly, so I would suggest sitting at the window on stools. It's very warm in there.
Very cool coffee shop. Cozy friendly. Yummy snacks
OG Of the NEW Newwest. Good coffee with a nice selection of quality food made slow and well. Stay a while for a drink (alcohol) (wink) Expecting big things out of this coffee shop & more in the new year .
Taste and service is just mediocre. But I like the mood and deco.
Service was friendly, but coffee was sour and they didn't even have sweetener (only sugar/simple syrup). Pretty disappointed considering how hyped up it is by reviews.
Had a regular drip coffee. It was tasty, nothing special! Nice cozy place.
Funky vibe, tasty drinks, fun people.
Really cool place with decent coffee of a higher price but plenty of plugins and seating. Great place for working and meeting - a hidden gem!
Good experience there, nice sandwiches, pastry and drinks. The cafe has very basic menu, a bit more expensive than similar cafe would serve, there is unconstrained atmosphere, kid's corner, high chair but no changing table. I would like to come there occasionally.
Good coffee and a chill atmosphere. I love visiting Old Crow.
Love this spot, the Vegan nights, and other Vegan odds and ends at the best of times are always a treat! Will often take a trip in from Vancouver just to hang with these rad people!
Fun little spot in New West! I loved the atmosphere of the place, lots of exposed brickwork complimented by wooden features. The coffee was great too, had a tasty pain-au-chocolat to go with it. Get here early, as it’s popular and tends to be pretty busy!
Outlets! This is a computer friendly coffee shop with a small selection of good quality bake goods and coffee. Great vibe!
My fave spot in New West!!! Queer friendly, wonderful staff, cute decor, amazing location, and plenty of vegan options!
Coffee was super bland. Didnt have any sweetner or anything. Advertise donuts on saturdays. Came in before noon and they had none.
Old Crow Coffee is truly my happy place. I come here almost daily. It's not expensive, the staff are all absolutely marvellous and care deeply about their community. I would recommend this to ANYONE looking for coffee, tea, vegan food, non-vegan food, good tunes, comfy seating, fast internet and a fabulous community environment. LGBTQIA+ friendly.
Great little spot to meet up for coffee. Coffee is fantastic
Good place to meet friends or study, but does get quite busy and loud.
Staff is extremely nice and have great personalities, even nice to have a chat with them. The inside is a mix of a dark/warm and light/modern. And the foods and drinks taste great.
Love this place, especially that little corner with toys for babies and toddlers. Coffee is great, latte with great foam and flavourful. Their iced coffee is a must try! Very glad that we can have some decent coffee here in New West. I just wish their business hour is a bit longer because I often want coffee around 5-6pm on a weekend and they're closed
Amazing coffee, food, and service! Excellent vegan options. Will definitely be coming back here regularly. Staff were friendly and pleasant to chat with. The beans I bought here turned out to be superb. Very happy to have found this place!
Cozy Coffee shop with amazing baked treats & darn good coffee.
cool cozy coffee shop/ cafe for breakfast or lunch with great coffee from bows& arrows, timbertrain and phil & seb. also really awesome they have so many vegan options!
This is a great new cafe in Vancouver. I've been waiting for an independent, passionate coffee spot in #newwest for write some time and Old Crow delivers. The only two complaints I have are: 1. There could be more seating 2. They're not open very late (but they do seem eager to prolong goes as business ramps up) ultimately, I highly recommend you check them out!
Located on Front Street which is a quaint part of New Westminster. The coffee was delicious.
Cute little spot, with great coffee! With recommend it to anyone, who appreciates a good cup of java :))
Great coffee, in fantastic mugs may I say, in a cozy atmosphere. My favourite coffee spot in New Westminster!
Great coffee, great cookies. And a decent breakfast/ lunch menu.
Great antique place for coffee
Down to earth good people and the best place in New West.
Grest coffee
Delicious food, great service, chill vibes. This is hipster living in New West, and it's worth every penny. I love the relaxed atmosphere and don't forget to try their awesome avocado toast
This is an awesome little hipster coffee joint. Delicious Chai lattes
Hipster's paradise. Great place to bring your MacBook and work on your blog while sipping an Americano. The atmosphere definitely makes for some gramable shots.
Probably the best coffee shop in New Westminster. Their selection of coffees is excellent. The staff is professionnal and courteous, and I also really like the atmosphere of the place. Their vegan sandwiches are just fantastic. Highly recommended !
Nice ambience and great espresso/coffee. Can get busy at times but otherwise it’s great!
Very incredible oat milk latte ????
Great coffee, nice location. Thank you for bringing my kinda of espresso to the neighbourhood. Had a perfect latte here today, and I drink a lot of lattes.
Great coffee and sandwiches
I like the staff they are easy to talk too and there is some very cool art in the store
Best Downtown New Westminster Coffee Shop. Not a lot of seating but you usually can get a spot.
A great place for vegan food in New West. Vegan grilled cheese was amazing! Cheese was melty and the bread was perfectly grilled. The side pili pili sauce on the side really help cut some of the greasiness, though I would've liked a bit more sauce. The caramelised onions and tangy mustard also worked really well in the sandwich. The shin dig salad was also very good. It comes with a super flavourful tahini dressing and has lots of different components. The roasted veg was tender and sweet, and the pate was super flavourful as well. The cheese and chive scone was unfortunately very disappointing as it was very dry and tasteless. The chocolate chip cookie was quite good but a little too raw and it smelled like unbaked bread dough for some reason. However it still tasted nice and had a decent amount of chocolate chunks. I would recommend the grilled cheese and the salad, with the grilled cheese being my favourite.
I love this place. The coffee, the decor, the ambience, the staff- all awesome.
✨David's Rating✨ Kindness & Services: ☆★★★★ Taste: ★★★★★ Visual(meals/atmosphere): ★★★★★ Location: ☆☆★★★ Washroom: ☆☆★★★ *Unisex toilet/ Not soundproof/ I could hear sound from washroom if i didnt use my aripod. I recommand this cafe.
Was excited to try this place out from the reviews and the fact that they have many vegan options. Well I was disappointed as both girls working behind the counter were unfriendly. Not to mention the wait for a lattte with only 1 other person in front of me was 15 minutes. The girl was just so slow. I could let this go tho if the service was friendly. In a customer service industry I don't understand people working who are unfriendly. I went for a donut pop-up but not sure I'll be back. There's many other cafes around who have happy people working there.
Great coffee, friendly staff, great COVID protocols
Very nice little coffee joint! worth a visit!
A very cool cafe in a very cool part of New West. Their menu is vegan-friendly, and the team is friendly and helpful. Definitely my regular spot for coffee whenever I'm in New West!
I have visited several times. The first time I visited I thought the coffee was too acidic in espresso format. I have since tried several different reincarnations of the bean and I think that mixed in a latte is very very good. I still found it a bit acidic. My brother in law loves that type of coffee and he liked it on his first try. My sister tried the tea and she liked it. The staff is always great. The place is always clean. I love the location.
Peaceful
Good coffee n treats plus a cute hipster aesthetic.
Best iced oat milk latte I've ever had
Old crow is the absolute best cafe . The coffee is amazing. Their food and baked goods are delicious and are accustomed to fit anyone's dietary restrictions. I pick old crow over any other Cafe in New west as I love to support them as they are a thriving small business. The staff are always very friendly every time I come in. The overall vibe is awesome which is why I keep coming back. My son loves their marshmello , caramel cookie !
Love the people who work here. Super friendly and warm, great coffee and grateful for the precautions they’ve taken during covid and still do. They’re also so involved with the community which I love!
Pleasant and casual environment, great food with vegan options !!! The staff is not overly friendly but the coffee makes up for it !
Favourite coffee place. Slow paced, but that's the environment, great snacks as well, I am a frequent customer.
Old crow is the best coffee shop in New West! Awesome chai lattes, baked goods, super welcoming vibe and a great community hub with pop-up events. Very vegan and vegetarian friendly!
had to wait so long for foods and coffee (not even good)
Best spot for coffee in new west
Really like this place if the right barista makes my coffee. Hopefully experience develops consistency.
Cute spot but they messed up on my order and when I told them they just starred at me didn’t offer to fix it.
A little difficult to find the first time, with road construction, but worth the effort. Bit of a speakeasy vibe, you have to know it's here in order to find it and come in. Coffee is always fantastic, and unlike other coffee places, I take my earbuds out and listen to their music. I hesitate to recommend the chocolate croissant, because half the time I come in they're already sold out and I don't want to make it more difficult to get one :)
8/10
The food and drinks here are really good. There is a good amount of seating at the back and the weird decor is kind of exciting. However, might be good to note that they do not have AC.
Coffee was expertly dialed in, and the milk was SO silky!! Perfect microfoam, the baristas clearly know what they're doing. Food was excellent too, would be nice to add a bit of protein (perhaps some baked tofu or something) because though delicious, it kinda feels like a sandwich full of toppings and no main star to it. Delicious none the less! I was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend.
An artsy cafe in a brick-lined space with a variety of seating for a maximum of 50 people. The drinks are wonderful - I can recommend the espresso. Almond milk, soy, and oat milk are available. The food is tasty and freshly produced. The only reason there is no fifth star is because one of the toilets was clogged.
Lovely, cozy place to hang out with family and dear friends. Friendly service, coffee is really good, and the place has a good variety of gluten free treats!
Service is slow, tables are rather uncomfortable, and the price is inflated. But the crow sandwich with mozzarella cheese was awesome.
Well brewed coffee, super tasty chai latte, and delicious croissant, smiling staff
This small coffee shop serves great tasting coffee.
Really good pastries, even better coffee! The only reason I wouldn't go back is the prices. 2 cappacinos and 2 pastries where $15... A bit to expensive for what it is.
The ambiance is great, but my tea was not at all good. Milk felt like it was close to going bad, no taste except for the cinnamon added on top. People seem to like this place, I would go again if I had a better experience with my drink..
Really an unknown gem on Front street
One of the, now not-so-hidden, gems of New West. Their menu has downsized due to covid but service has gotten faster and the quality of the food is still great. I miss their caesar salad with fennel but the shindig is just as yummy. They have outdoor seating while you wait for your order. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
Not busy and so we were served quickly. Great London fog!
Delicious coffee & a great atmosphere!
Super friendly and fast service and awesome cosy environment topped off with fantastic baked goods!
I love merchandise here! And the vegan cinnamon bun is actually so good! Hard to come by good vegan cinnamon buns but I enjoyed this one. The space was huge and was very hipster like. But still somewhere where I'd spend time to chill and hang out either on my own or with a friend.
This is the best coffee I've had in the Vancouver area. The staff is genuinely friendly, and the atmosphere is totally unique. It would make an amazing event space!
Absolutely LOVE this coffee shop in New West. Great menu items, awesome vibe, and quiet (perfect for a date, reading, or doing some work while sipping your coffee).
Good people.
Old Crow is one of the main reasons we love New West so much. Great coffee, cute shop, and they occasionally throw vegan dinners which you don’t want to miss.
Nice cool place for breakfast and coffee. The vibe is amazing but a bit expensive .
Good coffee, slow service for pour overs (~10 mins for a pour over)
I love this place. Super friendly service, inclusive space that really cares about its community. Delicious coffee and tasty vegan snacks. I don’t live in new west but make it a point to come here as often as possible.
The coffee here will give you a new lease on life. Awesome food and great tunes too.
Cozy coffee shop, love their mocha which is not too sweet, just the right mix of coffee and chocolate.
Great cafe hidden on the waterfront in New Westminster. The atmosphere is great and the coffee is great by Canadian standards.
Love coming here "real" espresso is hard to find, especially in a city covered in chain coffee shops and diner style breakfast places. Their whole bean that you can buy and make at home is excellent quality.
Good drinks and chill vibes
Best coffee shop in town
(Translated) The atmosphere is nice and comfortable. I had a sandwich called Croke Pile and it was so hot London Fog was delicious (Original) 분위기좋고 편안해요. 저는 크로크 파일이라는 샌드위치 먹었는데 너무 짰습니다 런던포그는 맛있었어요
First time at Old Crow but I very much enjoy the rustic charm of this place. And you always know it’s quality coffee when it’s delicious black, and this place is quality coffee.
LOVE this coffee shop. Great beverages, awesome vibe and outstanding staff. Favourite place to work and hang out.
This place is totally me. Its chill, low key, its warming and inviting. The coffee is amazing. The people that work here are amazing. Favorite place in new west by far!
Good knowledgeable staff. Good coffee and delicious eats. They stick fresh Phil and Sebastien coffee beans, which are some of my favourite beans around. Good vibe, lots of seating.
Chai made in house.
good coffee, nice interior and a little play area for kids which i always love in a coffee shop.
Awesome coffee and vibe. Come here weekly. The best coffee in New West.
Very cool coffee shop with great items to choose from.
Great croissant.
While the coffee and food is good, they serve their 12 oz drinks in an 8 oz cup and don’t care. That means you’re paying for what you’re not getting. And if you bring it up with them, you’re the problem. Meanwhile, they’re stealing your money. They also don’t care if your food and coffee gets cold on their counter. They don’t yell out orders loud enough to hear unless you’re next to them. And the service is SUPER SLOW. It’s too bad, really, about the people and the service, because the products are good. Never back, though. I like to get what I pay for.
Found this place while wandering through New West the other day. Nice selection of standard cafe options on the menu, and vegan friendly! Ordered a mocha with oat milk and it was alright. Clear pathways marked for social distancing so that's a plus. Would love to come back here and stay a little longer next time! Noticed that they weren't allowing visits beyond 30 minutes though, so I'll have to find somewhere else to do some work if I'm in the neighbourhood. Overall a nice spot!
Good coffee
Cool little spot. Great quality coffee.
what a great spot to have in the New West community, staff are always welcoming and helpful! Great selection of vegan options, that are delicious! Love the pop ups and events that are hosted here. I don't even drink coffee, but I'm sure it stands up to the quality of everything else here!
One of New West's best coffee spots!
Good coffee, not very well welcome when entering at 7am
Very nice atmosphere for studying and working
????????????????????????
Great coffee, good food, nice decor, comfy sofas, friendly staff. Lovely little place for an afternoon coffee/light brunch.
Yup, gotta hand it to this place, they know have to serve tasty coffee with just the right vibe.....big tables, outlets everywhere, decent prices, tasty coffee (local mostly), and a good selection of healthy nibbles. I think my only complaint would be the chais...not all comfortable! But I will definitely be back here
Very cute coffee shop
Excellent chai latte and ambience.
Excellent coffee, cozy atmosphere, fast & friendly staff.
You guys are my sunshine on a cloudy day in New West <3
Great cafe for study but they close really early ! Nice staff and mostly young people there! I love there coffee it taste great, they have a room for small meetups or meeting
Great place, cool atmosphere. No sit in available due to covid and max 3 people inside at a time (other than staff).they do have tables and chairs set up outside which are great for sunny summer days. Staff are very friendly and quick with drinks and food. Picked up a cold brew and grilled cheese. The cold brew was so smooth and easy to drink while the grilled cheese was very flavourful. Lots of cool merch to checkout, interested in getting a shirt or 2 from them.
Good coffee and a nice space
great place to chill and work. some rare-to-find coffee cups too. but its a bit dark that i did not like and it felt classic but too old and dirty.
I need that grilled chez and it did NOT disappoint.
Really nice space, good to sit down and convene. Tried their chai latte with a shot, don't know if I would try it again tbh but the shot was robust, little to no acidity.
Great food, good coffee, friendly staff, nice location, cool decor, comfortable seating. All round great place.
This is by far the nicest cafe in New Westminster. The baristas are always friendly and the chai is delicious.
This is my favourite coffee shop, I frequently make the trip out here just to get a drink and read or enjoy one of their evening events like open mic or live music. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and really make you feel at home. The food is great, the drinks are great, and the customer service is A+!
Really damn good coffee. Great vibes. Relaxing.
Coffee is great, so are the donuts, but can get busy so service is often slow
amazing staff and quality service! vegan doughnuts are a must :)
Excellent place to chill and chat with friends.
Yum finally a place I can have a veggie sandwich and feel good about it! Loved it.
The cold brew is some of the best in the city! We always stop here on our weekend distance bike rides
The construction noise from across the street Bosa development was very loud. It's a shame as I fear others like me won't go back because it is too hard to have a conversation.
We just had an excellent oat milk cappuccino and a truly delicious tapenade and hummus sandwich. Friendly and unpretentious
Nice place. Good coffee
This place is the best! Great staff and service! Can’t wait to come back!
Awesome cafe with great baked goods, sandwiches, coffee, and tea. Their London fog was excellent and cinnamon buns was amazing! Lots of options for vegans too. Definitely worth checking out if you want to find a local cafe to haunt.
Amazing to get a single origin African coffee here in their drip.. something otherwise could only get in a posh coffee shop in a much more expensive pour over. The beans are high-quality and delivered from a fresh roaster daily
Cool little coffee shop tucked away on front street. Not much traffic in the area but it has a hipster vibe to it. Lots of seating with a couch in the back. Plug-ins for computers were available. They didn't have any food available when I went which was a bit disappointing. The coffee was good and would go back again if I was in the area. Prices are decent. No parking available at the store front so you have to park somewhere close and then walk. They also had cool cat pictures on the wall which was a bit different but it works for the place.
tea was terrible. not enough tea in tea bag
Great coffee and atmosphere, not many baked goods however
Too loud in here. Hard to concentrate or enjoy a coffee when they are blaring Bryan Adam's 'Summer of 69'. This a coffee shop not a bar.
Very hot inside, they seem to have their heat blasting in the middle of june. Too hot to sit inside and enjoy food or beverage. Music was also a bit loud to enjoy converasation. Would not suggest unless you are always frigid.
This is by far my most favourited place to go relax and drink coffee, Service is wonderful, the employees are super nice, and the food items on the menu along with their drinks are always exceptional. I've eaten breakfast there too many times to count and when you order a hot drink, they give you this mug you can sit down with and drink. They have couches to relax on inside along with tables and a good wifi connection. I would not reccomend any other coffee shop if you are near new west/ Columbia station.
I had the Mocha here. Make it super hot and you willnprobably like it. I liked it..
Delicious coffee, chill atmosphere, and the best staff!
Renovations are complete. 5/5 The best coffee in New Westminster. Believe me Ive checked. Renovations are complete and the back room is open. This is a great place for a relaxing cup of coffee. The atmosphere is very chill and the staff are polite. Coffee beans for sale.
Great coffee shop with lovely ambiance. Excellent coffee and GF sandwich options! Music is never too loud so you can chat with a friend or work on your laptop with little distraction. A hidden gem in New West!
there is no contest in new west for the quality of coffee. great food, and dipped donuts twice a week. unbelievable community space, weird art, monthly open mic and comedy is great. i see the word pretentious thrown around, but the staff is genuine, they are lovely to talk to. pretentious is pretending you know how to review a restaurant and your only outlet is google reviews.
Wonderful service and great, quality coffee and ingredients. I ordered their shin dig salad and they were out of the dressing so they were not serving it anymore. I really wanted it and so they offered to create a new dressing on the spot so I could eat their salad! What an amazing company and such amazing service! Highly recommend.
I planned to visit another cafe nearby, but there was a long line up there and I was super sleepy to wait, so I walked to this place. It looks artistic and hippy with an old wooden door. They didn't have many baked goods options to choose from, and most of them are vegan. I asked the staff did they make these vegan sausage rolls in house or not, and she told me, “No, they were previously frozen, and they just reheated them.” I said it’s ok, I ordered one roll, and it was gross! I can tell it had been sitting there for hours, and the filling was so salty. Their iced latte was really acidic, and I couldn't even finish it. I had to leave everything unfinished and leave. I just don't understand how they can run a business without proper investment in their menu and food quality? You can’t sell a previously frozen product without knowing how it is tastes? Such a frustrating experience, Old Crow! I will not be back here again.
They have good coffee here! Great place to chit chat, catch up, work, etc... Come check it out if you're around the area!
Very small hipster cafe with limited seating. They serve Victoria's Bows x Arrows coffee and have nice local teas. Recommended this place to a friend who lives in New West and she reports this is her hangout now - very happy. Service is friendly and this is a nice find in an area with limited choices. Just wish there was more seating as it makes this place less comfortable than other cafes.
Best coffee in town!
Favourite coffee shop in the city. I recommend this to friend, family and strangers. It's cute and friendly.
I'm addicted to Grilled Chez.
Being a local guide I must recommend this cafe, coz it's really local. And my pour over coffee was great too. Walk inside to get more more seats. Serving cakes and bread too, WiFi available.
Super chill space. Good coffee and food!
Staff are chill with good vibes, also actually care about the wellbeing of the plant decor! Try the cronchy vegan marshmallow cookie :)
Limited parking, but good sandwiches
Watch out for the door, it closes hard. The coffee was good, not burnt and not scalding hot.
great amabiance
Lets grab a spro!
Awesome locally roasted beans. Worth the small premium.
Wonderful coffee, great service, and a cozy atmosphere.
Great coffee, nice location.
This a great little nook. It's spacious and cozy at the same time. Great staff
I've been visiting Old Crow for about three years. The place has excellent food (lots of vegan and GF options), excellent drinks, rotating local art exhibits, and homey decor that manages to be both cozy and artsy. I love the friendly and diverse staff with killer music taste, and the bustling, creative atmosphere. Honestly, this place is heaven. My one and only complaint regards the guest who's been coming in recently to play their ukelele (a strange choice to make in a public space that already has music playing), but that's not the shop's fault! Thanks, Old Crow, for making a space so welcoming and warm!!
Simply delicious and a wonderful place to relax for a bit. Busy every time I've visited but plenty of large shared table space to snag.
The atmosphere is so cute! Great place to go to look at art and sit outside on the patio chairs on a sunny day. Very friendly and very quick service! Coffee tasted delicious but it is a bit on the pricey side. Still I for sure will be going back
I was so ecstatic to find this hidden gem. Living in New Westminster I hate going downtown and try to avoid it like the plague. Old Crow has phenomenal coffee and food, the decor has gas town vibes. Wednesdays and Saturdays they bring in the most amazing doughnuts. 10/10 must go.
Friendly staff, great ambiance even better food and coffee. 100% recommend ????
Cute place with decent coffee and crossaints. I ordered a cortado and unfortunately it was a little watered down.
I absolutely enjoy the latte here despite it being on the lighter side to my personal preference. The texture, smell and taste are smooth, flavorful, and top-notch. The seats are limited with not much decoration, but I like how calming and peaceful the space is. If you are nearby New Westminster, look no further!
BESIDES HAVING THE BEST VEGAN GRILLED CHEESE IN THE CITY, Old Crow Coffee is such good vibes with incredible treats, staff and products! I’d drive far and wide for this gem, no other coffee shop or space like it in the city!
Great funky coffee place in New West. Choice of local roasters and coffee pourings.
Coffee in New West. It's the only place to go
Great coffee and comfortable, inviting place to relax and catch-up with friends.
Great coffee
I love going here every time I'm in New Westminster. Everything is extremely high quality.
If you want to wait 25 minutes for a tiny $10 sandwich while a group of millennial staff stand around and chat, come here.
The ambience is cool. The coffee is definitely below average. I want to like it, but the coffee has let me down three times now.
Quaint spot for coffee and a croissant. Great art, service and ambience. A place you can curl up with a book or plug away on your laptop.
My favourite New West coffee shop. The coffee's great. The baked goods are terrific. And the atmosphere is inviting and relaxed, to boot. Only wish the seating was a bit more comfortable (those swivle-stools, though cool-looking, are not really great for sitting...).
Lovely atmosphere in this small and locally owned cafe filled with New West's quirky spirit. Different decors clash and come together to show a personality no Starbucks can mimic. I had the tea there and nursed it over the time I spent catching up with friends. It was frothy and rich, the tea quality a delight. Would go again!
Great coffee! Limited seating so come early or at non-peak times.
great vibes!!
A hidden gem in New Westminster. Excellent coffee and cookies. Looking forward to going back and trying their sandwiches and other food items. Highly recommended.
Latte was good and limited seating in and outside the cafe. No many pastries but there’s croissants when I visited on a Saturday noon! Gotta try their breakfast sandwiches next time and any pastries.
A small coffee shop tucked away near the Quay. I was told that they typically serve Phil Sebastian and Bow & Arrow beans. I was looking for other kinds but since they didn't have others, I tried the former. It was quite light. The coffee is decent - not excellent but not bad. The price is very reasonable! They had few pastries remaining when I arrived at about 4pm. I got a croissant (I think it had been sitting for the day). Pay parking is available (you can use Passport Canada app to pay). The interior is nice but very dim. There are couches for those who like it. I noticed another section of the coffee shop hidden behind a sliding door but there wasn't anything displayed. Perhaps, it's for events, overflow or live music? They accept all forms of payment.
Amazing cold brew
My go to coffee shop on new west. Consistently good coffee (espresso and brewed), a variety of delicious baked goods and sandwiches available Now that they did renovations, the space is even better and bigger. Most of their staff are pretty friendly and provide decent service.
This ain't what it used to be. Now I'm broke, all my money gone, gone. Night life, whiskey, women, and old crow coffee company took that away from me.
This place was dope! The coffee is spot on and the harvest sandwich was great too
Awesome enviroment with a delicious menu that has lost of vegetarian and vegan options.
The go to place in New West for coffee. The coffee is great (especially when they’re using Phil & Sebastian beans), the vibe is fantastic, and the location is perfect for a Sunday stroll along the boardwalk. (Also extra points for their community based initiatives).
one of my fave coffee shops! their grilled cheese is amazing and love all pop ups they do!
I'm always up for fighting the corporate power... Old Crow Coffee Company is a place we should all be supporting in our community. It's a great place to come and hang out for a coffee, chat with a friend, have a snack... The environment is so welcoming and unique, the staff are friendly and inviting... The pastries are excellent... And the coffee is damn good!
My fiance and I discovered this place online before we visited. We were so pumped to find a cafe that serves pour-over coffee an vegan food (yeah, we're fancy) that is a leisurely distance from our house in the burbs, so we had to make a Saturday morning stroll over. We loved it! The coffee was crisp, the food was DELICIOUS, and the atmosphere/staff were really inviting. I love the heritage feel of New Westminster and Old Crow Coffee reps well, being on Front St. Also, this is a small thing, but there was really rich art on the walls and in the indie magazines scattered around the cafe. It was quite unique. I'm sure we'll become regulars from now on, so look out for us!
My absolute favourite place - a home away from home. Staff are great, welcoming and friendly. I’m not a big coffee drinker, so I always get their excellent iced tea, but all my friends who are avid coffee lovers tell me it’s great here haha. Largely vegan/vegetarian options for sandwiches and toasts and all of them are SO GOOD; they also carry Dipped Doughnuts (vegan! and they don’t even taste vegan!) Tuesdays and Saturdays and they always sell out fast so you have to get there early for them. Music selection is usually chill, with a lot of great throwback playlists. Very community-oriented staff and space, lots of events that celebrate the community. I suggest checking out the Old Crow Comedy Sho last Monday of every month, super fun. This is a shop you don’t want to miss out on; 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, fun, and lovely spot to chill.
Whenever I'm in New West, I always like to stop by Old Crow. Great eats and coffee. Also! A big kudos to the team for all the work they have been doing to (esp. during a pandemic) to support local BIPOC businesses and organizations. It's amazing to see Old Crow Coffee Co. lifting up others during these tough times. Coffee tastes extra good because of that :)
Have always liked their coffee, but also had their Grilled Chez sandwich today and wow it was amazing.
Great shop, good coffee. Didn't enjoy my recent latte but normally find the regular coffee amazing.
This place is quiet and peaceful. I hope it survives a long time because it's the closest you can get around here to the gastown/East Van cafe experience.
Great coffee. Offers a wide variety of different types of milk. Great selection of pastries and snacks.
Cute little place! Their vegan sandwiches were super good! Couldn’t believe it’s plant based!
Not really bad at all.
A really nice place to study and spend time in, very cozy and nice. Good place to get away from Douglas while still being in the area and getting work done. There's ample room to sit, some by the window and some far away if you're not a fan of what little sun we get. The drinks themselves were good, my friend got a latte and I got a chai tea latte as I'm not a big fan of coffee
Latte was decent and cookie was chewy but overly salted (salt just dumped on top). Looks like a cool cafe inside and good location. The girls working inside seemed more interested talking amongst themselves than engaging with any of the customers. Wasn't a friendly vibe so it didn't make me want to hang out inside for very long.
A hip coffee joint in a building with tons of character, they make delicious food and super coffee.
Amazing coffee shop!
Astounding cold brew. Also surprisingly busy for a Sunday morning given the location and construction
Tasty home cooked meals, pastries, and hot beverages. Their coffee is incredible.
A great Americano as always. Never a disappointment with Old Crow!
Loved the decor
Good stuff just a bit above what I can afford
The atmosphere was really good, there was a literature convention in the back so it was loud. the drip coffee was very sour. The server was kind enough to switch it for an americano but that was also quite sour :( the Oreo donut was great though !
Great little cafe lots of fun atmosphere. Makes you feel at home.
Amazing coffee. Good service. Cozy place.
Great historic location. Good good and great coffee
Great macchiato and latte, gluten-free treats and very tasty sandwiches all served by friendly and respectful staff. Our favourite place when in Burnaby it New Westminster. Coffee is always great, the food though ... you have a better chance at it being good if you order a meal as opposed to a cookie. You have no idea how many times I paid an arm and a leg for a stale cookie. Not trying that again.
Amazing coffee, outstanding service
I love this place so much that I stop here every morning on my way from Surrey so I can pick up a sandwich and a cappuccino. Best cafe in the area!
Huge waiting time, very slow service. Not a happy experience.
Absolutely the best coffee shop in town. Great staff, friendly people, great service. Highly recommend checking it out.
I waited 25 minutes just to get a coffee! We were forced to get in line with people buying donuts even we didn’t plan to buy any. Coffee wasn’t hot and no apology from staff for our long wait.
The baristas didn't seem to know how to make tea. I ordered a London Fog and they filled a cup with hot water, tossed in a filter with a tiny amount of tea leaves, and immediately poured in a bunch of improperly foamed milk before any of the tea could steep. The result was a large, tasteless cup of semi-foamy room temperature milk-water. I was going to get a couple cookies or donuts but the person at the register bent down to grab something from below the counter and put their hair all over the food. I don't think it was intentional but ... I decided against getting anything. Nice atmosphere so there's an extra star but I don't think I would recommend.
It's a quaint bohemian type of place, with a great, slightly obscure location, eclectic decor, and an interesting crowd. A refreshing change from the cookie-cutter chain coffee shops. I wish they were open a little later. People seem to actually talk here rather than spend all their time on their laptops, cellphones etc.
Great staff and chill environment
Well balanced menu, quality coffee bean and baristas, easy to stay hours here! The atmosphere plays with the old buildings interior infrastructures like the old brick or beams. Plenty of space in the back with a lovely mural, bar tops for on the go and patio atmosphere with local art around sells the passer-byer right away. Staff are well trained, friendly and most importantly fast, skilled baristas. The top of my coffee had adequate krema, which shows care. The bean is strong enough to overpower a mocha, making it a great caffeinated treat with a rich coffee aftertaste. Pricing and menu selections is perfect for those on the go or looking for a sit-down light lunch without breaking over a $20 note. Loved the place all in all, well done but not overboard with design, leaving room to grow.
Nice
Came in on sunday, great service in the afternoon, lovely lady working the till. Two big thumbs up!! :))
Free wifi, comfortable couches, good coffee. Clientele and atmosphere is more youth-oriented. Lots of Vegan and veggie options if that's your sort of thing. If it had a nicer bathroom and some air conditioning it'd get five stars. At it is, four.
Great coffee and theme! Nice old bricks totally fit the vibe!
Just the right amount of coffee snobbery
Very nice atmosphere, and good espresso
Food is amazing, coffee is delicious, and it's the perfect place to study! My favourite cafe in new west!!
LOVEEEE old crow! best vibe and great food. highly recommend if you’re looking for a place with soul.
Best quality beans. Always do the pour over. Always friendly staff.
Coffee is pretty good (not very consistent in terms of quality, but never bad by any means); atmosphere is good; but definitely don't expect to receive service with a smile (or greeting, or any kind of friendliness whatsoever). I've been here about 4-5 times and each time the employees all look miserable and treat you as an inconvenience in their day. It's unfortunate, because I think that with just a touch of friendliness from staff, this place could be super awesome.
One of my favorite spots in New West. I try to stop in every time I'm in the area. I love the vegan grilled cheeze. Try it and make sure you add coconut bacon. It's so good! I also bought a locally made hot sauce (sriracha revolver avocado ginger) and it was very yummy with the sandwich. They also stock Mumgry, which is a locally made nut butter (try the chocolate almond pistachio butter!).
OMG an independent coffee shop with character and really good drinks in New West!! Wonderful staff, very nice.
Proper supportive community, great coffee and always interesting and fun events. One of my favourite coffee shops.
cute, quirky coffee shop, perfect for a date or studying or even relaxing and enjoying a hot drink
Rustic decor. Great atmosphere. Friendly baristas. Only complaint is the seats are not very comfortable.
I was dubious about paying more for a single cookie than, elsewhere, I'd pay for a pack. What a sensational cookie, though. The coffee is always great - tasty and well portioned. I imagine the meals are also good, but I've never been there long enough to try one. By the way, that's another bonus. Prompt service!
Excellent coffee. Well prepared. Friendly staff and owner. Funky environment.
A beautiful and peaceful café that really captures the culture of New West, in my opinion.
Amazing coffee shop in New West
great little spot...great coffee and great atmosphere...
Great coffee and a good selection of extras. My favourite is the avocado or huumus toast.
Old Crow never disappoints. It’s my first choice go to for espresso drinks whenever we’re in New Westminster — and I rarely walk out without a delicious pastry and/or some of the goods they sell (Mumgry and Kula and more). If you’re at the quay take the short walk to discover their food and drinks — you won’t regret it!
Best Espresso in Newessto
LOVE this coffee shop. Good coffee. Great food. Vegan options.
Got good drink
Quirky, fun, independent coffee shop. Hidden find in New Westminster. Amazing staff. Artist friendly. Great place to hang out on a lazy afternoon.
Pleasent and comfortable place, good coffee.
Great coffee
The drink was good, but the service needs work. Not very welcoming.
Portland charm in new west
Great place to go when you need another option and place to think. Definitely caters to a certain ambience and audience so can be a bit jarring at first but really prompting love for neglected communities. A must visit in New Westminster and will come back for that delicious Cappuccino (I've tried each in the neighborhood!), stellar playlist, beautiful old brick wall and wonderful local treats and merchandise to create an end to end experience that dazzles your senses, energizes your soul and illuminates what it's like to live in a vibrant and upincoming community with plenty of heritage!
Great coffee
Where I always go for coffee when I am on Front Street. Happy to have local businesses like this in New West!
A great place to grab a Sunday morning Espresso Macchiato and treat. Fun location, friendly staff, great service. The baking was fresh and delicious. We sample 3 different cookies, chocolate and regular croissants. They even made an oatmilk hot chocolate for the kiddos.
killer spot in a lovely redone area of New West. I'll be back.
Really good coffee, and well prepared. It's an oasis in a desert of Starbucks and other generic coffee joints. Nice interior without a ton of seating, giving you a bit of elbow room if you're not wanting to feel crammed in. Staff were un-memorable, not to sound harsh, just seem uninterested in a couple less than hip customers (us). I think that's almost to be expected in good a third wave coffee shop in Vancouver, so I'm not taking away a star for it, but hopefully the owner reads this, and chats about being friendlier in the future. Not the end of the world, my feelings weren't hurt, but some might be.
Great cup of coffee, seemed like a popular spot!
Nice atmosphere. Great coffee. Tasty sandwiches.
Nice little cafe, tasty vegan food and drink options
I really do enjoy this coffee shop. It has a very nice rustic look which looks pretty small from the front of house that opens up near the back of the shop. There is plenty of seating, a couch set in the back of house, nice setting including a brick walled painted in an industrial burgundy color as a backdrop and black highlights with traces of black crows throughout. The music is good and the servers are polite as well. As for the coffee... well the do serve a very good cup of joe as well. What is a coffee shop if it doesn’t have good coffee after all. If your in the area, I would recommend you stop on by and grab a cup to go or just lounge and get some stuff done
This place is great! I go here mostly for the avocado toast (wow!) and cozy atmosphere, but every now and then I indulge in a vegan donut, supplied by Dipped Donut Co! I wish I could come here every day. Definitely recommend!
Love this place!
Nice, independent, bright and clean! Great snacks and awesome service.
Great little coffee shop with great ambience! Very good coffee and snacks.
Super disappointed with this cafe! I called hundreds of times to check if they’re open for dine in or not. No one picked up the phone. I drove in and bought a coffee and a grilled cheese, and they were a disaster! Do not go here!
Cool vibe inside, seemed pretty busy for a sleepy Sunday morning. Only tried the cappuccino and it was okay. Taste was good, but the mouth feel was lacking a bit. I'm a bit of a coffee snob so maybe this is just me. Staff wasn't overly friendly, but they were quick and got me my coffee so I can't really complain. I'd definitely try them again.
Always have a great coffee here. Love having their snacks and bites while hanging out in the shop. Great experience!
hipster coffee in all the right ways. the type of place that I would call arrogant about coffee because they know and appreciate it so much (in a good way). the macchiato was a symphony well tunned and in harmony. definitely qualifies as my rule of if it doesn't need sugar it's good coffee. they make Vietnamese coffee with an aeropress which I found funny. will have to try it next time since they were out of condensed milk that day.
Great coffee and great service.
Actually the best coffee shop on earth.
Best latte I've ever had. Had a ton of body but full of rich coffee flavor
Good espresso
Best damn tables in town. Also, the food has a special in my stomach, which is an organ that mechanically and chemically churns food.
Cute. It has character. Quality products.
Old Crow Coffee is a pillar in the New West community and this town would be lost without it. Aside from being a tasty coffee shop, with new and exciting features on a weekly basis, Old Crow offers a a safe space for emerging business' to connect and build a name for themselves within the community. The pandemic is hitting small business hard, and yet the compassionate, socially conscious driven folks at Old Crow continue to give and teach the city of New West what community is all about. So before you go on here crying about your ONE dusty doughnut, maybe think for a second about how this small female BIPOC owned and operated coffee shop so selflessly continues to uplift other small businesses around the lower mainland day in and day out. And i've had those doughnuts, and as a vegan of 10+ years - they were reasonably priced and so delicious.
Great coffees and light lunches.
Really really good coffee!
Good food an cozy setup.
Pre-COVID, this was the place to come study. During COVID, still a great stop for a latte and friendly staff.
I am so happy to have a coffee shop that serves and sells fresh roasted beans near by! The food is yummy and fresh if you dont mind a wait...sometimesa very long wait I have noticed there is friendlier and better service on week days than on weekends.
Great coffee, great vibe and sunny now that they took the parkade down
GREAT COFFEE. AMAZING TOAST. FREE WIFI WITH OUTLETS. Coffee is good and their food is great - I've definitely gone out of my way just to grab a bite of their hummus toast! Trendy looking space and not too noisy so it's a nice spot to study. It can get a little drafty so bring an extra sweater. Also, the owner is super nice, I love her bubbly personality.
A bit pricey, but the coffee is great and the salted chocolate chip cookie is to die for
Delicious croissants and sandwiches, good coffee
Great seating area in the back. Americano is A+
Great small coffee shop. Reasonably priced for an independent shop. Really cool atmosphere.
Really nice atmosphere. Reasonably priced and delicious food. TONS of vegan options. One of the best iced mochas I've ever had. The taxidermy is a raven, not a crow - almost lost a point with me there ???? we will be back.
This is a great place to go to for any reason, the owner Steph is awesome and deserves your support! Great coffee, cool vibe, fun neighbourhood! Lots of events here as well!
Best coffee spot in New West. Hands down
Great coffee! Also veggie, vegan, gluten free sandwhich options. Super yummy.
My favorite coffee spot in New West, hands down!
Excellent service, old building, cool vibe, and great coffee!!
Great cozy coffee shop to go study or hang out. Super friendly workers.
good coffee and service. A little loud, but granted it was busy. Didn't have a lot of time to try out anything more than the coffee, so I will have to come back another time for a longer stay and try some of the goodies.
Great coffee and atmosphere. Cool space for hanging out.
Very cute, loved the local art. Grilled cheese was delicious!
Nice little coffee shop on the river. Rustic and simple artsy decor.
Great local coffee etc. spot with ambience and quality.
My absolute favorite coffee shop. I used to be all Starbucks all the time, but these guys showed me the better side of coffee. Breakfast sandwich and bowls are the ????
Great vibes, IMO the best coffee shop in new Westminster
Not only does this place have the best coffee in New West, but it's probably the best coffee I've had in metro Vancouver. Amazing espresso and consistently great service. Super warm and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely a must visit.
Great coffee and eats. Great service. Cozy space. A must try.
Great space with a good menu.
Cappuccino was very pretty, but coffee seemed a tad burnt. Ambience is great, and perks are the wall drawings!
Pretty good coffee for New West. The food looked execellent-however I didn’t try any.
Top spot in New West for coffee. Great vibe
A new west classic
Great coffee!
Tasty breakfast food and good coffee.
Great coffee, good service and nice design.
I ordered a decaf iced americano and it was delicious! The staff were friendly and atmosphere and decor is really nice in there.
A nice quiet coffee shop, but their espresso is merely decent. I find the staff to be a little cold, and on my first visit I was served the stalest croissant I have ever had the misfortune to eat.
Wife and I had a couple of good sammies (turkey + a vegan one). Coffee was also good but nothing special. Friendly staff but slower service. Decor and ambience not my favorite. Not a fan of some of the art pieces. Definitely will give it another try.
Barista was v pleasant even though we arrived 5 minutes before close! Americano was solid, super cute space. We'll have to make it back out there a little earlier for lunch sometime.
Cool spot.
The best coffee, best food, best drinks, best events and best people work here. Thank you! Love you!
We got there a couple of minutes before opening and the staff were finishing setting up. One lady came out to put up their street signs and I asked if we could come in out of the rain, knowing that we wouldn't be able to order. Apparently those last two minutes are very important set up time and customers with kids waiting in the rain shouldn't come in. Disappointing customer service.
This is a must if you're looking for an independent coffee shop in New West. Great coffee, friendly staff, cool old building, revolving art features on the walls and super close to the quay. Great way to jump start your day or walk.
Cute little cafe. They have some pastries for a quick bite, but they do sandwiches and some other foods. Avocado toast was amazing. Friendly staff. Vegan friendly.
Best coffee shop in New West. Great staff. Tasty food to accompany your Americano. Prices are not budget friendly but the value is there with the quality of their coffee and food. So I suggest treating yourself or if you have the means, this should be your a regular spot.
I drove to this place specifically to try their coffee and cookies based on the Google map reviews. However, was not impressed at all ... the crow decoration was unique, but that was it
I didn’t realized this was a semi vegan cafe. Ordered the sausage roll and it was terrible. Loaded with sodium and was not edible. The cappuccino was watered down. I’m all for supporting small local businesses, but poor quality products are not acceptable. On a positive note, the girl working was friendly.
The owners should look at service, this place would get 5star if the staff would hussle a bit. The coffee is fabulous but staff seems to have the slowest body language I have ever seen a in a coffee shop. Especially the lady with blond short hair. Seriously 8-10 ppl waiting and they aren't even trying
Coffee pastries and food are all to die for. Been here many times and never disappoint. Good seating and decor has a wonderful vibe to do a work session or work in or meet with a friend. An all things place I would say
Honestly love this place. It’s a hidden gem in New West for sure. On par, if not better, than many hipster coffee shops you’ll find in Vancouver. I really also love and admire the fact that their food is made to order, and sometimes they’ll run out of a particular ingredient and have to substitute. It makes it feel real, and you can tell there’s a lot of thought and care put into their food. And for all the people complaining about slow service, this isn’t a fast food joint. Sorry you’ve accustomed yourself to sub-par food and beverage standards and a robotic-level of living. I prefer the human approach. I’ll always pay this spot a visit (or a few) when I’m in town from Toronto.
Solid spot for a good cuppa coffee! Ample of seating space, decent coffee and good ambiance. Wifi and plug outlets for those looking for a place to study. Love that they don't blast the music like other places do when you're trying to concentrate on your stuff, listen to your own music or having a conversation with someone. Definitely one of my go-to spots in new Westminster!
Cute little coffee shop my boyfriend and I went to. They're away from all the bustling traffic of New West so it's the perfect place to study and relax
Cozy hipsterish place with good sandwiches, baked goodies to go with coffe
Very cool coffee shop. Not you typical chain coffee house. The Avacado and Toast is amazing.
You know when you're searching for that perfect cup of coffee but you feel like no Cafe's get you?! Old Crow Get's Me!!! Great coffee, great people!
Best coffee and coffee shop experience in New West! Love, love, love starting my morning at Old Crow!
Great spot for a lovely brew
Cosy, warm and wonderful
Absolutely love old crow! It’s the type of place you can go and feel apart of your community. The coffee is amazing, the team is friendly, the owner is always striving to make our community a greater place by having a safe hub for people to display their art, perform & host workshops. The menu is always exciting & delicious with loads of vegan options + they have dipped doughnuts delivered twice a week as well as pop ups once a month. You can spend 2 minutes grabbing a coffee or hours reading a book.
Best coffee + employees ever❤️Love love love old crow
Great coffee, very strong and flavourful.
I tried the drip coffee and it was honestly one of the worst coffees I've ever had. I couldn't even finish it. I gave some to the person I was with to see if maybe it was just me, but they agreed that it was awful. I'm guessing that something was legitimately off/wrong with the coffee that day because it's hard to believe that the coffee could be this bad normally.
Great lattes and food. Great atmosphere but could use a bit more cleanliness in the back
Best coffee in the Royal City.
Good coffee and atmosphere.
This place is amazing! Great coffee, great people, great atmosphere. I love spending time here, would highly recommend.
I really love supporting local places so I've gone into Old Crow quite a few times. The coffee is always really good and they have a good selection of whole beans from a few different roasters that are typically pretty fresh. However, I often find the front-house staff to be quite unpleasant and unfriendly. You often feel like you are inconveniencing them, and they will talk amongst themselves instead of acknowledging customers. The coffee is good but I would prefer to support a business that actually seems to want customers there, like Hive Cafe right down the road.
There are many choices for coffee and food in the downtown area of New Westminster but this is truly one of my favourites for ambiance, coffee and food! Stephanie the owner has been nothing but welcoming and I conduct all of my meetings and interviews here because the place makes us feel so relaxed. I love the displays of art and the support this business gives for our wonderful community's diversity and talent.
Cute independent coffee shop. A bit tricky to get parking on a Friday afternoon.
Lineup moves kind of slow. No food before 10 - would be good to know that before you wait in the line. The coffee is alright.
Excellent lattes and cappuccinos, and I love the crow art theme
Great coffee, my favourite place in New West
Nice little independently-owned coffee shop currently offering take out only. Lots of free parking nearby and great cookies. :)
Great atmosphere, quiet, good coffee. Perfect for work. Sparse seating though.
Such a nice vibe in here. Great coffee and the staff were really friendly and patient with health protocols. And amazing vegan options!!! Avocado toast was bomb
Like some of the other reviewers I -really- wanted to like this place. Sadly it's trying just a little to hard to be hipster and chic, and instead succeeds only in being awkward. The look is right, the location good, even the coffee is passable (not great, but also not burnt) The furniture is awkward, but looks cool. The back space is dark and oddly arranged, but I understand more there for small community events. Something this place may well excel at. Unfortunately it does not excel as a coffee shop. More about the live events. First time I was here there was some performance art set up on the curb outside. Something about 'celebrating the drone'. Believe me, the drone was in full force throughout the entire establishment. Essentially imagine all the bad pretentious performance art clichés and jokes you've seen on TV. That. It would have been funny except after 20 minutes straight the joke had worn thin and I left. Thinking this was simply an unlucky one - off I returned at a different day and time, two weeks later. 5 minutes into my coffee a girl started meowing into a microphone dialed to 11 (yes, literally meowing) ... And didn't stop for 10 full minutes. When she started again I decided to be elsewhere. The look is good, the coffee average, the experience intrusive uncomfortable and pretentious. Sadly cannot recommend.
After the weirdest experience of a random Customer drinking my called out beverage then putting it down and asking the barista what it is, which was definitely not his, the barista very graciously made me another straight away. The latte was delicious, thank you!
Has gone Hill since first opened. The past 5 visits dampened this place being one of my favorite places to bring people in new westminster. After having at Fridays on the front incorrect signs posted for a pop up that said "vegan and gluten free" which was also advertised on Instagram. Order was taken for a gluten free vegan item. I was going to pay, and said debit. They said cash only. Had no sign saying that and also said oh actually it's not gluten free... Nearing the end of the event crossing it out with a pen. I can't imagine how many people have gotten sick from being given the wrong items that said gluten free. I am writing this because it USED to be okay. I had previously gotten sick eating there and I hope the owner reviews how dietary restrictions and allergies are monitored by staff preparing the food, advertising and thr signs for pop up events such as "Fridays on the Front".
The perfect cozy cafe
The coffee is really good, cozy atmosphere and great people, they sell donuts from dipped doughnut here 2 days out of the week currently.
Cute space:)
Cool place, great coffee, good food and very friendly staff
Staff should learn how to make an espresso drink
Great food, vibes and people. Love my neighborhood cafe. Also they music they play is on point.
This place has quality coffee for a great price! Great place to check out
First, the coffee is, and always has been, top notch. I love the vibe here. They are an absolute community staple. The staff are truly amazing and always make me feel welcome. I had a baby right before the pandemic and was pretty devastated I couldn’t spend my entire mat leave here, but I’m so glad this small business survived the pandemic. I also super appreciate the fact that they are still requiring masks. It makes me feel way safer and more confident in their practises through such a scary time, especially having an unvaccinated little one to worry about. Thanks for being awesome guys - xoxo
Great little coffee shop in the heart of New west. They make great coffee.
Went in for coffee with my girl. The staff was not welcoming and not very polite. The coffee was good but I can get coffee anywhere, good friendly service is what I would really like.
Really respectful and friendly baristas- the food is always yummy and the drinks are such great pick me ups. I've been coming here for years on and off and am glad a spot like this exists. Hopefully the space can be fully utilized again as the interior is super spacious and laid back, too. Thanks y'all!
Great little coffee shop on Front Street. Huge bonus points for having a full-on baby changing station.
Coffee so good you can drink it black. Killer ginger cookie.
Great coffee, nice atmosphere, great place to relax and work on your laptop :)
Chai and cinnamon toast on the menu and a great atmosphere...will definitely visit again
My dad and I discovered old crow last year and love their coffee, never have we had a better experience.
Good coffee, great scones! The Old Crow has a warm atmosphere and the staff are awesome.
Delicious coffee, great selection of BC roasters and excellent service! I also love how much this company stands up for just causes - makes me want to drink their coffee there even more
Breakfast bowl was pretty nice and the pour over was delicious. Service was friendly, though perhaps a bit slow. Cute and cozy atmosphere. Would return.
Nice spot
Delicous drinks and food. Nice atmosphere as well.
Great food & great drinks, cute inside but the staff is really unpleasant. I keep coming back here because of the great food & drinks, but I hate that everytime I come back, the staff are so unfriendly and awkward. I’ve heard from several friends & locals the same. The staff speak to eachother in a really nice manner but towards the customers awkward & rude.
What a great find! Love the laid back vibe in this coffee shop. Friendly staff, great Americano and chai latte. Definitely worth venturing off Columbia for a great local cafe experience.
Good
Good coffee, horrible hours and the hours online are wrong
Excellent service, delicious offerings and wonderful community members.
This is a community space that may not be everyone's vibe but it's the perfect alternative to any of the chains or aesthetically driven options in the area. It embraces the heritage space that it's in and has staff that genuinely want to be there serving good coffee with a rotating menu of either in-house or locally produced treats (if you see their chocolate chip cookies come out on a baking tray - get one, if not two). In addition to having consistent food and drink, the retail products and pop-ups hold space for community focused goods which shows that they really care about the neighborhood they're in and the regulars that they serve. Ultimately, it's a coffee shop. You go and get brown stuff in a cup, and it either makes you feel good or it doesn't. In my case, I always leave with a smile on my face and caffeine in my system.
Best coffee shop in New West. Literally the only place I get coffee in this city. Good healthy food options and good drinks plus dependably ethical. The staff is really sweet, genuine, and interesting to get to know. I really appreciate …
Stephanie is so friendly and a her & Old Crow are a great part of our community.
Great atmosphere. Excellent coffee. A true local hangout. The croque fille or breakfast sandwiches are always a solid choice.
The food and coffee is good here. Love the atmosphere. Don't mind the slow service when I go to read a book or just chill, but when I order something to go and they aren't making food for others, I cant agree on it taking 20 minutes to make a sandwich. The place needs better management. Edit oh my God Saturday and Wednesday are vegan donut day. Amazing donuts. Must have donut!
Funky little spot, no dougtibly a hot spot for "cool young" people. But a really good americano.
Nice coffee and eats
Great atmosphere and good coffee.
Love this place! Best coffee in New West for sure. Always an interesting mix of roasts on rotation and everything is well prepared. Definitely recommend the pour over bar. There is a small food menu, and the toasts are perfect. And yes, there is a crow.
Old Crow Coffee Co. Is a cozy little coffee shop right on the waterfront (sort-of!) In New West. It's neighbours include an Army and Navy and a Military surplus store and Old Crow's vibe fits in well with this vibrant and ever changing neighbourhood! Upon another visit I have decided to up my score to a 5 star review! I shared a mocha and a chai latte, they were amazing! The chai had just the right amount of spice to tea ration and the mocha was one of the best I have had in a long time! We will definitely be coming back again soon!
Harvest AF is one of the best veggie sandwiches I've ever had.
Great coffee - as good as Australian coffee!
It's okay. Not a huge selection and they were sold out of food items. It's an interesting old building and the Fraser River view is nice.
Flat white was amazing!
This is a great hipster hangout. The menu is tight and the drinks are solid. If your tripping this place will chill you for a minute. A must visit that tucked away from the Main Street.
still my favourite place in New west <3
Coffee was too bitter and was not served fresh, coffee was served from a thermos.
With all of the competition for coffee in New West, this is not a shop I would return to. My partner and I came in after some coaxing from other reviewers, and we're truly baffled at the rating. Upon entering, the atmosphere was almost solemn. We were met with no greeting from staff, and almost no acknowledgement of our presence. Aside from a couple of side eye glances, the interaction was minimal. Ordering drinks was a relatively painless process, as their menu is standard. Don't expect anything unique, as the menu is as drab as our experience. I ordered a mocha, my partner, a chai. Let's talk about the chai - it was, what can be described as a cinnamon steam milk. I'll leave it at that. The mocha; however, fared better. The espresso was smoothe, and delicate. The milk was steamed quite well too. But, I think milk temperature left a lot to be desired. Just slightly above warm. I think it would appease an appetite for a quick coffee, but not for something to be enjoyed. Lastly, and where I found a real lack in character by this shop was a noticeable under-filling of the cups. I thought the first cup was just a one off, but the second cup came the same way. If one pays for a 16oz beverage, you would expect a 16oz cup to be full. I would guess 2 oz per cup were absent. If you couple the foam aspect of a drink to this, you're out quite a bit from the volume of beverage. Now, I wouldn't count foam usually as a lack of volume, but I feel it's fair to make this point as together, this makes the beverage comparable to their next sized 12oz drink size. I expected more diligence. All in all, stars were lost for: poor/awkward service, value for drink, and overall drink quality. There is better to be found, especially on the same street. We would not return.
STAY AWAY!!!!!!! The worst Americano I've ever tried! They charged almost 10 bucks for a burnt vegan grilled chez rediculously. Horrible and unfriendly service, poor and dirty storefront! Go to Serious Coffee in Plaza 88 for a much better coffee and service. Such a waste of my 20 bucks for this disgusting cafe!
old crow is the 1
Delicious vegan donuts by Dipped Donuts on Wednesdays and Saturdays! Also the in house Iced Tea is very good. They also have mugs, glasses, and dishes if you want to eat and enjoy your drinks there without plastic waste.
Best mocha in town.
I thought Starbucks had the worst coffee, but yesterday, Old Crow beat them hands down. Had walked by the other week so decided yesterday on our walk to grab a coffee from here. I had an espresso my wife a drip coffee. I have never in my life ever tasted an espresso as sour as this one. It was almost as sour as vinegar. Couldn’t drink it and left it. The drip coffee was thrown out at the first garbage can. What a waste of $6 +.....
Nice atmosphere!
Very good coffee, like seriously good. Lovely baked goods and a delicious breakfast sandwich. Friendly staff who don't mind if you take your time. Good WiFi. Family friendly. All around a great place for coffee and friends
This is the nicest coffeeshop in the metro. Great food, great coffee, great vibes. ????????
Beautiful cafe, good coffee, nice views
Great little cafe in New Westminster. The cappuccinos were good and they had a fun baked goods selection. The staff was super friendly ☺️
Turkey sandwich was on point and price is super reasonable
This place is beautiful. Great space, great coffee. Well worth a visit.
(Translated) Friendly staff and good atmosphere (Original) 점원들이 친절하고 분위기도 좋음
Great coffee, tasty and healthy food options. The wonderful staff are really what makes the place special.
Interesting place with good music and nice atmosphere. I usually get an espresso from every new place I see, and theirs made me want to come back.
Will always be my go-to coffee spot in New West.
Great local coffee shop.
My only time there I stood there for about a min after the guy in a pink thin poncho (with no shirt underneath) looked at me and seemed annoyed that walked in. I just had moved to Vancouver from a small town and I was not used to the city and I asked for a basic coffee, he gave me a double espresso. I was mad with how tiny it was, I know now espressos are ment to be small but he could have informed me to what a drip coffee was. Nice place if your trendy and like arm pit hair in your tiny coffee. Never going back that poncho was and insult men who wear real ponchos. HEAVY METAL RULES!!!
(Translated) Sensational place, cozy and very tasty ... (Original) Sensacional lugar, aconchegante e muito gostoso...
Cute coffee house in NW, loft style with an urban counterculture vibe. Coffee is good, not spectacular but does the trick.
Been coming to this coffee shop for over a year as it generally has the best coffee in New West. However, staff has changed. Music is too loud and staff are inconsistent..either friendly or not/good latte or not.Today was a not good latte day which was much needed after exams. Unfortunately I decided to say something but waited until after a rush (where one lady had left without her coffee altogether since the staff took too long). I apologized to interrupt but explained my latte did not taste very good, it either had watered down espresso or not nearly enough. The male staff member was immediately defensive (even though it was the young girl that had made it) and told me it was the size of the cup I brought and that they HAD to fill it up with milk. I explained that I have always used the same cup. He argued, then reluctantly said he would make me another cup. When I picked up the new latte, he informed me that I should really be ordering a Macchiato. I said that I drink latte's at numerous places including JJ Bean, Caffe Divano, and Artigiano and have never had it taste like that... He again pressed that I need to order Macchiato's. I politely disagreed and left..... Perhaps I should more carefully select the cups I bring in? As a 16oz will really degrade the quality of your latte...but only sometimes...but then I guess I don't really know what I should be ordering either, after decades of lattes....I do know where I won't be ordering from now on.
Great service, coffee, tea and food. Limited menu but everything on it is top notch.
Old Crow Coffee is great, a nice bright space great coffee and good people, good food too. I like it best when the dogs are in the two wieners are the cutest.
Awesome coffee and an adorable space in New West.
Good coffee, friendly people, great place to sit down and read.
Friendly service, good coffee, surprisingly well priced. Great atmosphere.
Love this coffee shop! It’s my favourite in New Westminster. They have great food and I love how they support their community. ☺️
Great atmosphere
Great coffee ????
This is my favorite cafe! It’s the best spot for grabbing a coffee and a treat with your friends or family, plugging head phones in and getting some work done, or just treating yourself and enjoying coffee and a lunch to go! I highly recommend visiting the Old Crow!
Old Crow is my favorite coffee place of all time. Great coffee. Great hospitality. Great art. And it has a unique funky decor. And where else can you look out the window and watch colourful graffiti go by on train car after train car. Love it!
Can't say I support this place the owner won't listen to a reasonable thought on blue lives. I'll take my Java drinking to creekside coffee in coquitlam
Love the look and feel of this place. The coffee is excellent and the breakfast sandwich I'm in the process of eating is delicious. Been here before and will keep coming back.
Great medium roast. Quiet and cozy place to enjoy a cup of coffee!
Superb selection and yumminess
Great coffee, good sandwiches
Good vibes, good coffee and good sandwiches ????
The food and coffee here was very good but I have to comment on the space and table placement of the cafe. There wasn’t really a very comfortable seat anywhere in the cafe, maybe except the front of the cafe. There was a lot of space in the back but either you’re close to the washroom (like very close) or close to the garbage / recycling. The place also looks a bit dated, on the hipster side, but just wont be my go to for a cafe. I like to camp at cafe a lot of times so needs the space to be very tidy and comfortable for my mind to to be more at ease.
Good coffee and food. They had run out of eggs, but, accomodated my request to substitute smoked turkey on my breakfast sandwich, which was delicious. The toilet appears stained in the restroom which is rather off putting.... they were sold out of 2 other menu items as well on a fairly small menu. I will certainly return and enjoyed coming here, but, now know to expect menu items are available when available.
Decent little coffee spot
Great atmosphere. One of the best in town for coffee, snack and chat.
Good coffee and atmosphere, but the staff can be pretty grumpy. It wouldn't stop me from visiting there but good customer service skills will help grow any business.
Nice and quiet cafe to read the paper and enjoy a cup of coffee. Short walk to the river.
Old Crow Coffee Co. is one of the few cafes in the lower mainland that are a huge part of helping the BIPOC community. Their ICYM initiative brings amazing BIPOC local business products into the cafe in order to promote and support them. On Fridays they have local fresh baked vegan goods which are honestly incredible.... One thing I really like about this place is that they have a very strong Instagram presence that continually posts about current societal issues and aren’t afraid to show they take a side. Their service and staff are incredible too of course! Come for the food and the drinks, stay for the Old Crow community you become a part of.
One of my fav new spots. Chill vibes, cool decor, lots of seating, great coffee and friendly staff. Awesome sandwiches too and great vegetarian/vegan options too which is rare to find. I would happily while the afternoon away here, reading or working. A hidden gem. Highly recommend checking it out.
Cute little cafe. The avocado toast was delclious but a rather small portion!
Relaxing, low key, casual vibe. Lattes are amazing! Food is always freshly made and healthy. Love it here!
Best mochas and kale salad.
A nice little place tucked away. Great space inside to sit and chat or do some reading. One my fav places in new west for coffee. Been here many times since I was first introduced to it.
Good coffee, good food, good service. This is a true neighbourhood coffee shop! They care about the local community and know how to pull a good shot of espresso. I also appreciate that the seating area is away from any customers entering and ordering for take-out... keeping social distancing intact. ????
Used to live in BC and this was a favorite coffee spot. Staff doesn't acknowledge customers existence.... But sure like talking to each other nicely. Coffee was still good, but that's about all.
Great coffee. And a great little child play area to keep the little ones entertained.
Absolutely love the atmosphere of this place. I don’t go to new west often, but I stopped by here one Sunday on my way back to the sky train (great location!) for a quick coffee and bite to eat and was greeted with fantastic service and yummy food. The staff that were there were super sweet & stylish, and you could tell that they had put work towards creating a space that was as great to work in as patronize. Would 100% go back!
Great coffee and baked goods!
Great Coffee and friendly staff. Missed the cup sleeve though...will come back soon....tnx
Amazing place filled with good people from everyone I met plus some good selections for tea and coffee. A good café for more of a coffee appreciation vibe. If you enjoy good coffee on the "craft" style scene, then this is a great place to check out. Still amazing without the background. Definitely going to be coming back and recommending to friends.
Great coffee sandwiches and service.
I really wanted to like this place. It’s so cool looking and comfortable feeling. But then they made my tea with water that was too cold to steep the leaves, so it never got any flavor. And we waited and waited for them to call us to say that our sandwiches were ready, then gave up and went back from the back room to the counter to find them sitting there, cooling on the counter. They said “we called your name, but then we thought maybe you were outside or something”. Which, of course makes perfect sense. They don’t have time to like, poke a head outside and check. And I guess you’re not expected to sit in the back? Anyway, the sandwiches were good. The tea was bad, and the service was really indifferent. My advice: sit near the counter, and order coffee with your sandwich.
Great little coffee shop.
This is the best coffee shop in New West! Great coffee, cozy atmosphere, and great food. I'm an omnivore, and I crave their plant-based avocado and hummus toast!
Delicious coffee, great music, cool staff. Place gets very busy though.
