Always enjoyed the food here, but I've got to take some stars off for a recent development. The beet panini used to come with creamy, tangy goat cheese on it, which complemented the beets beautifully; now there is only "vegan feta", no dairy option. It's not like this is a dish that had meat in it, it was already vegetarian, but apparently it had to become a vegan dish. Fair enough, but the "vegan feta" didn't taste like anything (a faint hint of nuttiness every now and then - I imagine it's made of nuts) and made one side of the bread completely saturated with oil (it's already "buttered" but the side with the "cheese" was translucent with grease). There was no briny saltiness, no tang, no nothing. Maybe it tastes OK crumbled up in a salad but it just disappeared in this. Please bring back the dairy option: I say this as a Greek who knows her feta and someone who thoroughly enjoyed two dishes (the beet and goat cheese panini, the Abbey Bowl) that relied heavily on a dollop of creamy goat cheese goodness.

Great coffee☕, had their Americano & soy late (both made with their espresso roast, locally roasted by Whitney Coffee). Serving vegan/vegetarian dishes, non dairy options (soy/almond milk) & cider. Modern, location..it's a cider bar with cafe & art gallery. Nice interior, friendly staff ???? Quite a bit of a cold breeze on the ground floor seating area, downstairs seating available (more art to see ????) All in all...been here twice & would recommend ????

A great spot, especially if you are vegan, but even if you're not. I'm not vegan, but this place has such a wonderful vibe, flavourful selection of foods and snacks, and great snacks. With seating both upstairs and downstairs, it still gets busy during rush hour, so get there early if you're dining in. It's also one of the very few options in the city for those choosing not to eat meat, so thumbs up for diversity as well. I had a cappuccino and their coconut curry. Delicious and packed with ingredients, you certainly won't leave hungry.

As a vegan I enjoy trying new vegan restaurants, loved the service, atmosphere and FOOD! Server recommended the special ( Tofu Caesar wrap and Lentil soup), out of this world good. Cheap price as well, my son and I had the same thing with a pop and bubbly water. Out the door for $27 with a $4 tip. Very very pleased with the whole experience, looked at the art on the wall that's for sale, smelled amazing in there also. Highly recommend it EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT VEGAN.

Fredericton needs more vegetarian options after being exposed to The Abbey. This place does veggie RIGHT. Not greasy, not bland, good variety and beautiful decor. Service was good and pricing was fair. I wish there was a veggie fast food chain even a quarter as good as The Abbey so more people can have access to tasty veggie options.

If you are vegan, I think you’ll like it here. I say think because the food was not very tasty, but maybe vegans have acquired the taste. I’m not vegan but have eaten at vegan restaurants before. This one just didn’t do it for me or my dinner companions, who also have had vegan. I would recommend this place to vegans as I suspect there are few alternatives in town. Service and decor was certainly nice. But if you’re a meat and potato person, you’ll be disappointed.

This is great for a quick , flavourful, healthy meal. It will not leaving you feeling lethargic if you're going sightseeing in the Fredericton area. You can also enjoy a beer (Grimross was on tap the day I was in) or cider from Red Rover Ciders. Fredericton has been missing a place like this for a long time. Hot and cold bowls, paninis, wraps all have a healthy kick. Prices are reasonable for lunches. Would be a great place to pick up a picnic lunch to enjoy around the green.

Stopped for brunch at the Abbey Cafe before touring the city and then continuing on our trip to St.John’s, NB. I got “The Abbey” hot bowl filled with delicious vegetables and I also got a purée Broccoli and Tahini soup. Both very flavourful. My husband had “The Vegetarian Club” panini with a Lentil Dahl soup and a coffee. He really enjoyed his meal. Staff were friendly. I had a hot chocolate to go and it was particularly spicy and not overly chocolatey, which I didn’t enjoy as much as I had hoped I would. Might have been a one off, so I didn’t let it affect my rating. Overall, I highly recommend.

Cute cafe by the museums. The curry (with chick peas and seeds and zucchini spirals) was really hearty and filling and really tasty. The burrito and chocolate peanut butter cake were also delicious, and all of it a nice change after too many tourist-ing hamburgers and fish and chips.

LOVED it here. One night we grabbed a beer and big satiating cold bowls of beans and rice and veggies and tofu cheese (im allergic to dairy! So i loved that there was even the option there !) . So satisfying. Bumped in to friends there and had a time. Another night we went downstairs with our laptops and the wifi password to do "work" but mostly we got sloshed on ciders. At least we attempted the work part. Both times i thoroughly enjoyed myself, the beers, the grub, and the staff ♡

Beautiful place to eat and lounge around in this beautiful town. We were in town from Ontario to drop our daughter off. University towns are full of creativity in all sorts of things, food being one that all of us can enjoy. Abounds in vegan and vegetarian dishes. Cyder bar. Just the ambience is worth the bill. That one can eat delicious meals without leaving a mountain of trash and killing is planet is a concept worth paying for. No plastics. All China dishes. Tap water. Try their soups. Amazing. All sandwiches are great. Staff is amazing.

Wonderful service and delicious vegan food with nice patio seating on a bustling street. Our server was super courteous and knowledgeable of the area. The food was served to us on three patio in a very reasonable time. They have a very good menu of filling and nutritious vegetarian food. We had the coconut curry and the cajun chick'n burrito with pumpkin spice chocolate chip cookies. Definitely recommend the place. We'll be back for sure!

Quirky place downtown that has draft ciders (but no draft beer, which is a bit odd as in my unscientific but extensive studies, beer drinkers outnumber cider drinkers about ten to one) and also craft beer, cider and perry in cans and bottles. Seems to be two symbiotic businesses, so you order and pay for drinks and food separately at the stations. That means you have to find a table first or you won't have a place to sit, and can be hard if you are by yourself at a busy time. Food leans hard to the veggie side and is very tasty

I've always enjoyed the food here, but lately the service has come across as rude. The worker who has been working cash has looked less than enthusiastic to be there. I understand if it was maybe one time, but the few times I've been there since the new menu launch it's been the same attitude. I feel like I'm annoying him being a customer. There was also one time when I got a cold bowl a few months ago that was...erm... atrocious. The avocado was...white and grey. And the tomatoes both looked rotten but also unripened? (Photos attached) I couldn't even finish it, I just picked out the tofu and ate that- a total bummer for how much it cost. I literally never leave reviews for places, but I frequent this restaurant so often and I've started to feel discouraged from doing so... which sucks since it's one of the only places I can get decent vegan food in town
