Stopped in The Black Duck for breakfast. We have been traveling the East Coast from PEI to Nova Scotia and now here New Brunswick. Ate at alot of places along the way and this little Cafe is by far the best of the best!!! Had the Avacoado toast and it was just like I make it at home. Freah toast, Avacado and egg. There was even an edible sturgeon flower on my plate in its pretty orange color. All fresh from her little garden out back that you can view from the terraium side of the cafe. To top it off the coffee was spot on delicious!!! I highly ecommend The Black Duck to all travelers who are passing though or staying in Sackville!!! Well Done Black Duck!!!!❤????????????????????????

The Black Duck is home to a lovely menu with equally great staff, plants and artwork. There is a wide selection of hot and cold drinks as well as food for most of the opening hours. The back section is a real sun spot and a device free zone which is very refreshing to be in.

Finally, a cafe that can make a cappuccino (here they are called "flat white") that doesn't taste like metallic foamy Milk. Great vibe also. Sackville's got it over St John in this department.

Local Farm fresh options straight from their garden out back. It was really a great garden with lots of vibrant growing produce, flowers, fruit, greens, and even hops. I could really tell the salad was fresh and grown with care. Good service and a nice atmosphere to boot.

My favourite local coffee shop. The device-free area in the back, overlooking the garden is a great place to unwind or chat with friends. The food is also pretty great, and they always have a few vegetarian/vegan options.

Really great atmosphere and my goodness, is the tomato soup amazing or what! Stopped over as I'm doing research in the area and thoroughly appreciated the food and coffee. Bringing it down a star for two reasons: one is that there is no internet (it's great for disconnecting but problematic for students), and two is how much hotter it was inside than out? The temperature difference made myself and my research assistant uncomfortable. Enjoyed the people watching in the spot by the window, everybody seems really friendly.

This is a super nice, little spot in the heart of downtown. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant. It is on the smaller side, so I wouldn't recommend bringing a large group in, as I would imagine it would get crowded quickly, but definitely a place to checkout if you're in town!

It's great that these folks open bright and early every morning(7AM) rain or shine. Excellent latte and wonderful hardy breakfast sandwiches. This past week I stopped by for lunch and had a not so typical (to me) oyster stew that's going to bring me back for a return engagement.

Great place in Sackville for a brunch. I got the Eggs Bennedict and my wife got the french toast. Both meals were amazing, fresh ingredients really make a big difference. It is higher quality than Cora's and not as expensive, really great!

I just returned to the Maritimes after having been overseas for a time and found myself at a multi-day conference at MTA. Now, for those of you who do not know Sackville, this presents a challenge for even the casual gourmand. So: Thank you to Sackville, for adding this little gem. I only had the "plain old" breakfast each time. I balked slightly at the price (though in retrospect, it's really not much more than the "Big Stop" charges). This was easily put aside when I saw that: 1. it came with delicious, incredibly-fresh greens (really fresh... properly fresh), 2. a gourmet presentation (as one example, the bread was pan-fried), and 3. it's contents are a little different every day, but always delicious. Eggs were perfect too. I save my 5-star ratings only for those places which make me weep tears of happiness, but these guys almost got it. 4.5 stars. Consider: I am now looking forward to my next New Brunswick trip, just so I can eat here again.
