This place absolutely deserves and justifies it's high rating - I had a sensational flat white along with a freshly baked lemon and blackberry muffin that disappeared in record time. The setting was great and even though they were busy, they had the staff to keep the line moving. Get amongst it ☕

Beautiful cafe. Very cozy. Amazing design. Lots of options for people with dietary restrictions! The latte with almond milk was astounding. Kids, pets, adults, and youth were all present while I sipped my coffee. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Nelson! :)

I think this place may be a victim of its own popularity... coffee was weak; didn’t offer to grill a sandwich that definitely needed grilling, then (not unreasonably I guess) wouldn’t grill it after I’d taken a nibble; long lines. I think it’s a good, stylish place, but needs to be careful to keep up standards. EDIT: to be fair, the ungrilled sandwich was still really good; and the muffin was really good too. Moved to 4*.

Delicious coffee! So many seating areas to relax and enjoy your coffee and snacks. They have vegan and vegetarian options for food and pastries! I love their outdoor sitting area - lots of plants and birds. Bring your own mug or cup-if you have take out they'll charge you 25 cents.

Great coffee and vibrant atmosphere with hand made furniture decorated with bear paw prints. There is plenty of tables inside if you want to enjoy local artist’s paintings or you can seat outside to enjoy patio or cozy garden.

Cosy interior, with indoor and outdoor seating. There is a decent selection of coffee to buy and have ground here. The menu is easy to read and everything is decently priced. There are vegan, gluten free, dairy free, and wheat free options in their pantry case, and several non-dairy milk options for beverages. One negative might be that they don't seem to have a POS machine, and orders are taken on paper and counted with a calculator. This may cause transactions to be slower than expected. All in all a nice cafe I would frequent if I lived here.

Due to the COVID-19 safety protocols, you can expect a bit of lineup to order and pick-up your beverages. There are some outside seating available however generally it is busy. Good selection of breakfast items and coffees to order.

Not sure if I need to review this since it has great reviews already but the service here was spectacular, the food was amazing (we had breakfast), and I loved the wooden interiors. We unfortunately did not enjoy the coffee beans we got as much as we thought we would but the cafe itself is a must go for visitors.

I wanted to love this place so much. It is so cute and seems to be so so popular. Unfortunately the coffee/cappuccino was some of the worst we’ve ever had…the coffee was incredibly weak and the milk and foam honestly horrendous…sorry to say this, but the girls behind the counter were super friendly but knew literally nothing about coffee. Anyways, if you’re looking for a beautiful little spot, definitely check it out. If you’re looking to enjoy a great coffee, skip…there are so many other great coffee shops in Nelson.

It’s hard to imagine there is a more beautiful coffee shop in the world, so it is always a treat to stop by when we are in the Kootenay’s and have coffee and great eats in a garden that totally fills the soul. Our last visit the owner was there and was so kind to stop and chat about the history, architecture and garden. It’s one thing to serve great coffee, but to create and take such joy in sharing this with others takes this to a whole different level!

Zero Stars - Management Epic Fail!! I'm having trouble wrapping my head around a coffee shop... that serves muffins... and can't heat them. What did they think the point was? I didn't even get to find out if there was butter available. Oso, it's 2021, almost 2022. Microwaves are not evil. They are not witchcraft. They are a simple tool for a healthy business. That fact that you can't heat a muffin in your store undermines my confidence in you and your credibility. The coffee shop market in Nelson is too competitive for you not to heat muffins (and have butter for them).

Everything is right about this place. Must sit in the courtyard as it is amazing and very relaxing. Everything is tasty and we went there several times to this place. Very good value. The owner knows what he he doing and I just wish more coffee shops were being operated like this one. Too bad it's not in my city where I live.

Nice local roaster that is understandably busy. Line up was out the door in the morning so be prepared to have a leisurely wait. Not a show-stopper, but a good heads up for anyone in a hurry. Great patio outside. When you ask for a double shot of espresso, ask yourself if you are prepared for liftoff - she’s strong!! (Do you guys add anything to the coffee??)

Had the Nitro Cold Brew, which was divine. Indoor seating was comfortable and spacious. Worked there for a bit and it was fine. Not too crowded. Outside garden is absolutely delightful. Only had benches, but would be great for coffee chats.
