Food was ok, nothing to write home about. Rating would have been slightly higher rating but we had a 45min wait for two basic breakfasts (2 eggs, toast, bacon) after ordering. When asked about my dining experience,like and advising of the lengthy wait,. I was informed by the cashier that my experience was incorrect.

Placed an order online at 9:03 am and order was ready to be picked up at 9:50. My husband and son went to pick up the order and the staff hadn't even started the order as the did NOT see the order. 45 mins later we get our order and still paid full price. Ouch!! I have been in customer service for many years and this is not how you do it. ***edit DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. All for supporting local but not here!!

Really tasty breakfast food! Stayed in Nelson for a stopover and ended up eating at this breakfast restaurant x2 because it was that good. The Spanish Hash was a favorite and overall was a great location to stop and eat on the Main Street.

The food is really tasty, and is all freshly made. Good variety of meals. Drop coffee is good, and espresso is also available. Nice view of downtown Nelson. Service is a bit slow... had to ask a couple times for a coffee refill. Otherwise waitresses are courteous and kind.

Rather disappointed with this visit. I know the food can be delicious (which is the reason for the 3 stars). We showed up 30 min before the lunch rush and was told they needed to clear a table - although there were several clean tables visible. We waited outside for 15 min with several other customers before bailing and going somewhere that was willing to serve us.

Two servers were on today for breakfast shift, half full restaurant, service well there was none! Neither one asked how our breakfast was, dirty plates sat in front of Us for ten minutes as they walked by. Portions are smaller, service is always poor. We never left a tip! Will never go back.

It all started in my late teens, early twenties; my spiritual belief of hollandaise. When god touches you for the first time, you never forget. I have been to this place of worship thousands of times, I imagine. Even if in my imagination. Simply because this place, the food, is ethereal. In actuality, for the well over 100+ times I have seriously been here, I have only ever ordered the Nonna's Benny. I have tried so many other things, you know "other people" have ordered, but that benny... It is the only long term relationship I have and will ever consider, this Benedict. Praise thy lard!

Food was alright, nice they can accommodate a lot of allergies but the prices in menu aren't used and they charge me more than what was listed. When confronted they showed me the last sentence in the menu saying prices can change without notice. How do I know I'm not being charged more because they didn't like me or for the long weekend. If prices change that often get a menu board you can change on the go or update the dozen or so menus you even had. Two stars because the food didn't taste bad

Went here for breakfast and there was quite a wait to be seated, around 20 minutes or so. There was lots of variety and delicious choices on the menu. The proportions are horrible however, the french toast was only two small pieces and leaves you not feeling full at all. Great quality food but the quantity is lacking.

If it's a weekend morning, expect half an hour for seating and up to half an hour for the food. The eggs benedict is generally good, but the hollandaise can be bad. Of the last five bennies I've tried there, the hollandaise has tasted like cheese whiz twice. This comes close to ruining the meal. A real shame, because everything else I've tried there is good.

Top sit down breakfast in Nelson. Incredibly fair prices accompanied with delicious favorites with small tiwsts. Nothing about the one or two ingredients variations of the classic breakfast menu was off putting and instead added something new to experience for those who dont like to experiement too much. The staff was as lovely as the decor and art work displayed across the restaurant. I will definitely make a return upon every trip into Nelson.

The food was excellent, the service was incredibly poor and slow. We went there on a Friday morning around 11, and even though there were 4 empty tables in the cafe, the guy said (tall, grey hair), that there is a waiting list and it might take 20 minutes. On his paper there were 8 people in front of us, but none of them were actually there, I guess they got tired of waiting. We finally waited 15 minutes, and by the time we got in, there were even more empty tables. After we ordered, the food came very fast at least.

We stopped in for a lazy Sundag brunch at this cute little cafe on the main drag in Nelson, and were not disappointed. The breakfasts were all great, made with fantastic fresh ingredients, and portion sizes were spot on. My eggs benedict was delicious, eggs poached perfectly and the hollandaise hand made to perfection - light and fluffy and not too overpowering. I'll be back for breakfast next time I'm in Nelson for sure .

Food is great, the restaurant is usually busy. The serving staff experience is lackluster at best with the one who served us cold and disengaged from the customers and her job. Our meal took quite a while to be served and we mentioned how good it was once we got it except for the wait and the guy at the register was very rude to my father and I. There isn't a reason to return here.

Really casual spot and right outside the entrance there was an artist selling his work and we bought a few illustrated cards from him. Overall really enjoyed it. I had their veggie tofu scramble. This was easily the best eggs benedict that I have ever had. We ordered the florentine, and nanny's benny and both were amazing! I also got a latte and it was top notch. Be prepared for a bit of a wait as this cafe is well known, but know that it will be worth the wait! The service was friendly, and there was very little wait for the food. My boyfriend and I enjoyed breakfast here around mid morning. We were seated by the window which was nice, to view baker st while dining. I had the eggs benny Florentine which was made perfect, and my boyfriend had the traditional eggs benny which was also good. Service was fast and efficient and our waitress was very nice. The reason for the 4 star is because we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated, and someone who came in after us got seated first. We also thought the side potatoes that came with the eggs benny were a little dry and had little to no flavour. Overall we would visit this cute place again, as it was a good experience.

Good food... but food comes very very slowly. Waited over an hour for our food. Nobody apologized or checked in with us. Would have loved a heads up when we were sat that the kitchen was backlogged. Had a similar experience in the past but thought it was a one off. I am more convinced now there is some inefficiencies in the kitchen. I want to like this place more but it’s just not a very reliable dining location. No complaints with the food quality however.

Simply put, the service, freshness, flavour, and value are outstanding! This is a wonderful little cafe, and we had a marvelous and delicious gormet breakfast there on our last day of three in town. I only wish we had discovered it sooner! We tried to talk them into moving to Vernon, but I don't think that's going to work, so we'll just have to return as soon as we can!

Best breakfast place ever! I'm celiac and they accommodated me easily with lots of choices on the menu. Their hollandaise sauce is gluten free and my omelette was to die for. Everyone we went with really enjoyed their meal. Friendly service. I highly recommend.

So nice, bright and airy with great food. Always popular with the locals, I can't remember when we didn't have to wait to be seated, but it never took too long at all. Very nice, friendly and welcoming staff.
