This place has the BEST gluten free muffin in town, the morning glory muffin. It will blow your mind. The staff & atmosphere are so lovely, one of my favourite places to visit!

Had a breakfast bagel (whole wheat, egg, jalapeno jack havarti, and a chipoltle sauce). Great flavour and fresh. It was amazing. The brewed coffee is great too. The building is historical which adds to the charm and also gives you something to look at when you wait for your order. Only problem is I can't take the cafe home with me.

By far the best muffins in Nelson and very tasty breakfast sandwiches! A better tea selection would be appreciated. I ordered an Earl Grey tea and received a Stash brand teabag (this is a terribly cheap tea brand in case you aren't familiar).

Always a million options for any dietary restriction, super friendly customer service, and a really cool, passionate owner. Just visiting Nelson and a friend told us to come here... now I think this will be our regular morning stop for the next 5 days????????????????. The vegan bagel was fantastic????????????????... very filling, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The blue berry muffin was top notch... and all this wrapped in a cool decor and atmosphere

Wonderful little cafe. Batista's weren't overly welcoming but they did their jobs answering questions I or others had (mostly about the muffins or other treats) and made a great americano. The display case on top of the cooler for the muffins is what drew all the questions I think - some had a list of ingredients while others didn't and it blocks off behind the counter a bit as it is as tall as an average person. But the appeal of an older cafe that has made things work with what it has as it grows is one of it's own.. if you want a seamless experience then a newer cafe with all of that planned out is more your style. Fully enjoyed working here for a couple hours with a coffee, morning glory muffin and the other individuals visiting with each other, reading and writing - no laptops and barely any phones were out from what I noticed. ???? plus the gorgeous window art.

I spent a month in Nelson and almost every day I stopped by Dominion. The best muffins I have ever had and great coffee too! The specialty lattes were so cool and fun to always be trying something so different and new. Nothing beats that Morning Glory Muffin! I want to return to Nelson just for that.

Start to finish a great experience. Fantastic coffee, probably one of the best lattes I've had (all in house made alternative milks) The vegan bagel was light and delicious. The staff were super friendly and they have great prices too. Super impressed and will definitely be back.

If you are going to offer dine in then you should allow customers to wash their hands before eating. Stop using covid as an excuse. It is actually a bigger reason to allow bathroom use and provide a place to wash hands.

Food great, service not so great. This place has the best muffins in Nelson. I especially enjoy the pear, ginger, white chocolate. My recent visit was marred by less than positive service. I enquired whether the “wired milkshake” had a single or double shot of espresso (I prefer only one shot in my drinks) and the counter person/barista was unable to tell me, did not attempt to find out, didn’t apologize for not knowing and seemed annoyed that I was asking her a question. I also mentioned twice that I wanted my drink for here and she put it in a to-go cup with no explanation. Frustrating. So service (and product knowledge) needs improvement, food and drinks are yummy.
