Nice little café with plenty of seating and lots of reasonably priced snacks and sandwiches. I was told they have the best Nanaimo bars in town and they really are delicious!

Loved it to the core of my heart. Located right in the middle of the city . Very convenient for a quick bite or coffee. Infact they sale their in house coffee beans. Everything is freshly baked, cooked and brewed. Nice seating area with tables on the edge of the walls to center seating. Nice people and clean too.

Coffee was decent. The raspberry cream cheese muffin was perfect. The strawberry rhubarb tart seemed slightly undercooked. The cinnamon pecan roll seemed like a baking experiment gone wrong. The dough texture was too crumbly and there were large crystals of caramelized sugar.

Baked goods are so good. I would recommend the roast beef sandwhiches, the roast was made on site as well as the bread. Good coffee too from Saltspring.

I love this place, although everything is a touch more expensive then you might expect. Staff are always great and the coffee is, I think, the best in nanaimo.

food is absolutely awesome as is the service but you have to stop letting all the homeless drug addicts in your cafe! I was verbally assaulted few weeks ago by one individual and then saw another one verbally abuse another woman after she caught them stealing the tips out of your jar! Luckily the cops came for that one but today I saw a man passed out in the booth by the door? this is alienating your best customers and we all hope you start to say something or do what 'Funk your Fashion' has and put a sign up saying it wont be tolerated. Unfortunate because your baked goods, lunch items and coffees are the best downtown!

Wonderful helpful service, ladies were very attentive and helped me pick an appropriate drink for my picky husband. My Chai latte was made to perfection and the server made sure of it! Great experience for us both our first time in Nanaimo.

I used to come here daily. The baked goods are delicious (the white chocolate scone is to die for) and I love the day old basket for a discount treat. Their broccoli cheddar soup is so good too! However, the service is painfully slow at times and they close way too early in the day for a downtown business. Update: have come a few more times recently. Service is hit and miss. One woman who opens is very unfriendly and even a bit rude. Today there are flies circling the dining area and the specials never made it to the board. But this sandwich is excellent so they at least have that.

Good atmosphere with audible, but not overpowering, music. Great entertainment selection for your tag alongs. CRITICAL POINTS - Visit 1: I took a Nanaimo Bar and there was NO MENTION of it containing PEANUTS. Fortunately not an issue for me. Visit 2: everything clearly labeled this time, but had the worst fudge brownie in my life. Very dry and the icing tasted fake. Left most of it. Also, the place was empty but dishes not cleared and no toilet paper in the ladies.

Not a good coffee place. The coffee isn't quality and they don't know how to make a proper cuppa joe, nor how to make a matcha tea latte (I had about a cup of sticky matcha powder at the bottom of my tea and it was already strong to begin with.. grossss). Fortunately there's a new coffee bar in town called REMEMDY that has proper coffee and an owner who knows what he's doing.

Was just gonna grab coffee and leave but we ended up sitting in at this cafe for a while. They have adult books, children’s books, toys and board games available. Some of the toys/board games are old but good - brought me back to my childhood and the type of toys I would play. Such a nice touch to this cafe!! Coffee was also really good and the atmosphere is great for chatting, reading a book or simply to relax.

Not bad , fair pricing.. I got the mango smoothie and the grilled cheese panini . Unfortunately panini did not have nearly enough cheese but that might be personal preference , just that i didnt tatse the cheese in most bites *note pic is of half the panini
